Wesley wasn't sure what Starfleet protocol was for his current predicament. He decided to keep moving forward. There truly wasn't any life to be seen no matter the direction he looked. So, he didn't look. He simply continued, walking past rock after rock.

Did he believe he would find one of the 8 unidentified lifeforms? Was he sure he wanted to? Maybe it was better to stay put and wait for the enterprise crew to fix whatever happened up there. Wesley was phased away before the bridge crew could yell out explanations. One minute he was on the bridge, listening to Data explain the optimal method for getting those 8 lifeforms off that lifeless planet, the next minute the ships been hit, the captain is demanding an explanation, and Wesley plus a few others are being phased away. Perhaps it made logical sense to sit tight until they can get the ship's comms operating again.

Wesley stood still and looked around again. All there was to take in was stillness. The stillness around him unnerved him, and in doing so, he became unnerved by his own stillness as well. Wesley continued forward. He was only a little disappointed that he couldn't wait it out longer than a few minutes.

His view never seemed to change. Just moving past rock after rock. Looking at a never ending sea of stone in front of him. Wesley paused. But if there were no plants on this planet, then how was he breathing right now? Wesley had too many questions he didn't know how to answer. And there was no place for his mind to wander either… unless he wanted to think about rocks.

"Doctooor! Rooobot!"

Wesley ducked behind a rock and coward behind it. Once you get used to silence, any sound could be terrifying.

"Who's there? Doctor? This isn't a very good time to be playing games now, is it?"

…Wesley was perplexed. Under normal circumstances he might have stayed hidden. But he'd been alone for a while. And the voice sounded humanoid. And being found by the lifeform might be an even more negative outcome. Wesley decided with all these factors combined, it was worth the risk.

Wesley stood up and looked toward the direction of the voice. A Few rocks away, he say a humanoid figure as theorized. He looked to be an adolescence. Close to Wesley age in fact (if they aged similarly that is).

"Who are you? Are you human as well?" The lifeform started walking closer.

Human? How did a group of humans get stranded out here? Especially without Starfleet knowing?

"My name is Wesley Crusher. I am an acting Ensign for Starfleet working abroad the U.S.S. Enterprise." Wesley's body was almost shaking from excitement after saying that.

The boy looked like he had a lot of questions but was distracted by Wesley's demeanor. The boy cocked an eyebrow "You seem very excited to be introducing yourself."

"Sorry. It's only my captain, Captain Picard just made me an Ensign. This is technically me second on planet assignment, well, even if I wasn't technically assigned to be here."

"Second? What was the first?"

"A humanoid planet that put health and love above all else. I accidentally crushed part of a garden was about to be executed, but the captain took me away in time."

The boy nodded along. Wesley was surprised to see how much this boy was taking in stride.

"What's your name? And why has everyone in your party split up so drastically from each other?

"My name is Will Robinson. My family currently presides on the spacecraft Jupiter II." Will said, trying to mimic the introduction of the other as best he could.

"W-what?" Wesley looked shocked by this information.

"What? Do you know me?"

"Of course I know you! You were part of the first family to ever travel through space! You were the youngest person to ever go to space at the time. But it appears you're older than that now, by at least a few years."

"So you are from earth! Is that why you're here? To bring my family back home?" Will's eyes almost sparkled with anticipation. "This is amazing. None of the adults are willing to admit it, but Penny and I know that the Jupiter II can't keep supporting us for much longer. We keep trying to tell them we only have months but they're all in some kind of denial."

"…Well, we may not have come specifically for you, but we are definitely going to get you and all of your party aboard the Enterprise."

"Wait. If you didn't know it was us down here, then how do you know me?"

"From our history books of course."

"I suppose 'of course' might be a little misplaced here."

… Will looked like he was contemplating something heavily.

"Don't Worry. Once the Enterprise gets comms back online, they are going to get the 8 of you and the rest of the crew back aboard are ship, safe and sound."

Will's facial expression turned from deep contemplation to confusion in nano seconds. "8? I think you mean 9."

"We only scanned 8 life forms on this planet. All spread throughout the planet. That's why we thought the planet so interesting and in need of further investigation."

"That's rather peculiar. Because this planet, not too long ago, did have plants and alien life on it. We've been here for a while. There were suddenly a lot of colors in the sky and the planet started shaking. I thought for sure we were going to die. But then all that happened was our lush planet became this barren wasteland. We were all discussing what we were going to do next when everyone started disappearing, until I disappeared and reappeared on this random part of the planet. I guess if it's as you say, then I never would have found my family simply searching on foot."

"Then it's a good thing we found you when we did. But did you say you had 9 lifeforms in your party."

"Hmm. Oh, I know. Did you scan the planet for bionic life?"

A sudden burst of lights shown in the sky above them.

"Wait. This was it, Wesley! Just like before!"

Wesley wasn't sure how to feel about all this.

"Wesley Crusher. Report in now."

"Captain!" Wesley held up his transponder. "Ensign Crusher Reporting in. I have made contact with one of the life forms. They're human."

"I've been told who the family is."

"I have Will Robinson here with me sir."

"I'll make that two to beam up."

Will tugged on Wesley's sleeve, unsure of any protocol he should be following.

"And captain, Will requests that you scan for bionic life as well."

"Ah yes. The Jupiter II's Robot. What was it? Model B-9?"

"That's it!"

"Will do. Two to beam up."

The two were transported onto the brig. Most of Will's family was already present. Will ran to them. The rest appeared soon after.

Wesley was amazed to see the entire crew of the Jupiter II, along with the infamous stow away Zachary Smith. A centuries old crew, standing in front of him in the flesh. He did feel a bit puzzled by the Ape, who hadn't been mentioned in the history books.

Everyone's thoughts paused as they all watched the no longer inhabited planet rumble.

Once the planet stopped shaking, the colors surrounding the planet vanished. After a quick scan, Data noted that the atmosphere on that planet was no longer breathable for humans.

After letting everyone take that information in, Captain Picard stood up strait. Everyone focused on him. "It seems the grand old mystery of the disappearance of the Jupiter II & crew, has just been solved."
