A.N: Hope you enjoyed!

Daniel got off the Express at the same time as his best friend Cedric, passing the students who were reuniting with their parents and chatting among themselves.

"Are you really going to do this trip around the world?" Cedric asked.

Daniel nodded. "Yes, I have been planning that trip for the past two years once I finally get the approval of my mother."

Cedric winced as he remembered her reaction the first time he'd told her about it... "Is that why you turn down the Puddlemere United offer?"

Daniel shakes his head. "Not exactly, I've never been interested in a professional career, so that wasn't a reason why I turned them down."

Cedric nodded. "Even I'm not too sure about the offers I received."

They continued talking and it wasn't long before Daniel spotted a group of people. "Well, there's my family, I'll see you later!"

"You better come and see me before you go on your trip!" Cedric called out.

Daniel gives his best friend a thumbs-up and heads for his family, and as he approaches them, he hears them talking among themselves.

"So how was your first year at Hogwarts sweetheart?" James asked.

Jasmine smiled widely. "It was amazing! And I made so many friend too!"

Lily smiled at the enthusiasm with which her youngest was telling them about her first year, before looking around for someone. "Where's Daniel? He should be here by now..."

Sirius shrugged his shoulder. "He's probably with a girl."

Jasmine tilted her head, confused. "Since when does Danny have a girlfriend?"

"He doesn't have one, but I saw him with Cedric earlier." Harry said, before spotting his older brother walking towards them. "Oh, there he is."

Daniel smiled at them. "Hey, guys-" He was immediately grabbed in a hug. "Hi mom."

"Oh! I'm so proud of you, baby." Lily gushed.

"Mom..." Daniel sighed.

"You know she can't help it, this is a proud moment." James said smiling. "Which is why once we get home we will have a small party."

"A party?"

James nodded. "Something small to celebrate this great achievement and which could be our last chance to spend time together as a family before Daniel leaves on his trip."

Which prompt Lily to hug her son tighter... Then it wasn't long before they start crossing the platform towards floos so they could get back home. Once home, they quickly organized a little party with a cake and a few small gifts that would come in handy during Daniel's trip, they then played a few family games to spend as much time as possible with Daniel, they know they have a week before he leaves on his trip, but they want to cherish these moments as much as possible since they won't see him again for a year.

One week later...

The Potter family where at an airport to say goodbye to Daniel, Jasmine was tearfully hugging Daniel.

"I'm going to miss you so much!" Jasmine said, hugging her big brother tightly.

"It's gonna be okay, time will flew by so fast that you won't even notice that a year has already gone by." Daniel reassured. "And you know what?"

"What...?"

"I will send letters every two weeks and... I'll also be sending souvenirs from the countries I've visited." Daniel said.

"Really?"

"Hmm, really." Daniel nodded.

Jasmine smiles before hugging her brother one last time, and then Daniel turns to his brother, who immediately hugs him.

"I will miss you."

"Me too, but promise me you'll look after our sister while I'm gone, okay?"

Harry nodded. "I will."

Harry wiped away his tears, while Daniel bid farewell to his uncles, then his father. And finally his mother, who wasted no time in giving him a big hug.

"I will miss you, baby..."

"I know... I love you mom." Daniel said.

"I love you too." Lily hugs her son tighter, but after 30 seconds, she still hasn't let go.

"Mom... you have to let me go now."

"No!"

"If you don't, I'll miss my plane." Daniel said, as Lily reluctantly lets him go. Daniel waves to them one last time as they sadly watch him board his plane.

Daniel's first stop was Japan, having heard of their culture and finding it interesting, not to mention the fact that he'd heard they were able to make magic work with first city he visited was Kyoto, because he had heard that the Ministry of Magic was located there, and about all the temples and shrines. He was quite shocked to discovered that the non-magical world was coexisting harmoniously with magical japan, he did asked some locals about it and they told him that it was because of their culture that they were able to coexisted. The next day, he decides to visit Akihabara and is blown away by all the stores, he even spots what he thinks is a Magical Girl walking around doing a magic show, as he wandered around the stores trying to find something for his little sister and brother, he came across something. It was a magical cell phone, like the one the Muggles had created. He chatted with the seller, eager to learn, and after a while, he bought two, one for himself, the other for his family, knowing how useful this phone would be. And he wasted no time in sending it home. Four days later, he received a call from his little sister, who enthusiastically shouted into the phone that she could now talk to him every day. Which made him chuckles. When he was able to calm her down, he told her to ask their mother when would be a good time to call him, as he wouldn't want her to call him when he was asleep. He then spent the rest of his time visiting numerous tourist sites, one of his favorites being Shinjuku Gyoen Park, where he drew many of the beautiful scenery he had seen there.

His second stop was Italy, as he had wanted to visit Rome for some time. Throughout his journey to Rome, he drew all the beautiful landscapes he came across. Until now, his favorite were still Cherry Blossom he had seen in Japan. Once in Rome, he visited some of the most popular tourist attractions. And during his time in Italy, he searched for souvenirs for his family. He visited the magical part, but left when he realized that it was very similar to the one in his home country. He then spent the last two weeks visiting many popular places, his favorite being the Amalfi Coast.

And now he finds himself in Romania, as he couldn't explained how but he felt like he should go there. Which he doesn't regret, because Romania is a beautiful place, and he's found other landscapes to add to those he'd drawn earlier in his travels. On his second day in Romania, he took a cab to a nearby town. The journey was a little strange, with the cab driver telling him a story about his grandfather who had seen a vampire, he didn't put much thought on it.

Once there, he was quite surprised to see there was going to be a monster festival happening soon, he dined in a nearby pub before hiking in the nearby mountains. During his hike, he comes across a small village in the middle of the forest. At first glance, he doesn't think much of it, but decides to go and see what it's all about. As he gets closer, he begins to notice that the village is a fake, like it was just a Hollywood prop...

Daniel scratch his head in confusion, wondering why would there be a fake village here, unless someone was making a movie. It was then he noticed a handful of burning people walking out of the village. He decided to follow them as they might lead him to a place where he could sleep for the night, instead of sleeping in a tent.

The strange people lead Daniel to a tunnel and a castle. Daniel takes time to look at the castle, wishing he could draw it, but he's not here for that. He looks at the people again and sees that they are putting out the fire and putting on hotel uniforms, before heading for the castle. He quickly followed them and entered the castle. He looked into the hotel's main lobby and saw monsters walking around, which made him think that the hotel had a monster theme going on because of the festival that was about to take place in the nearby town. When suddenly, he was pushed back against the rotating door...

"Who are you? And how did you find this place?!" The man who was dressed like Dracula asked, as Daniel wonders why he's angry.

"My name is Daniel and I was hiking in the mountains when I came across this fake village and decided to follow the people in case I found a place to sleep for the night instead of camping." Daniel explained, and the man seems more angered.

"How many of you are there?" The man asked.

"Just me."

"What have I done?! This is all my fault! You have to leave!" The man spoke to himself, he then pulled Daniel outside, when he heard the man say. "Oh no." halting them both in their tracks.

"Excuse me. One of your piranhas in the lake is very rude. He ate my sister-in-law." Daniel could heard a raspy woman's voice asked.

The man said he'll be right with them before going back inside, at which point he was trying so hard to hide Daniel that he couldn't hear or see anything, other than muffled sounds and movements, as the man held Daniel under his cape.

"Man, seriously, what's going on? It's kinda hard to breathe in here." Daniel said, but then he heard another voice call "Drac" and just like that the both of them found themselves in what seems to be a closet of some kind, filled with hotel supplies.

"Wow! You guys are really going all in with that festival." Daniel said, looking at the Halloween theme cleaning supplied, as the man was looking through the crack in the door with paranoia.

"Quiet, you fool! What weapons are you keeping in this container?" He asked in anger as he slammed Daniel into the door and shifted through his backpack and pulled out Daniel's deodorant and accidentally sprayed it in his mouth.

"Oh! I can't breathe. It's killing me!" The man said dramatically as he sat and wrap his cape around himself while coughing loudly.

"Would you like some water?" Daniel asked, getting a bottle from his backpack as his phone start to buzzed. The man grabbed Daniel's phone and glared at the screen.

"What is this? A torture device? A secret mind controller!? You won't read my thoughts. I won't let you!" The man exclaimed, which made Daniel wonder how old was this guy.

"Man, calm down. It's just a phone, you can call people with this and even take picture or listening to music." Daniel explained, as he get his earphones out and put them in the man ears. Which he began to freak out...

"Ohh! It's taking my soooooouuull! Aaaahh!"

Daniel rolled his eyes. "Stop being dramatic."

He glared at Daniel once again.

"You need to go. No human has ever entered this castle. And if someone should see you, the safety of the hotel, the sanctuary, no one would ever come again!"

Daniel frowns, wondering why he said "no humans", until he realizes something... remembering all those monsters he'd seen in the hotel's main room, thinking they were just costumes... "Wait, this is a hotel for monsters?"

"Yes! Which is why you're not welcome here!"

"Well... then it's a good thing I'm a wizard." Daniel said, taking his wand out. The vampire stared at him for a moment, which made Daniel squirm as he know the prejudice back home about monster and hope that it wasn't like here too...

The vampire suddenly smiled. "Ah, well... why didn't you say so then?"

Daniel deadpanned at him. "You never asked, you just concluded that I was just a human."

"Well, you will have to excuse me for my attitude." The vampire said, as they walked out of the closet. "Anyways, Welcome to Hotel Transylvania. Stay here, while I prepare your room."

The vampire taps Daniel's shoulder with enough force to make him stumble, until he slips on something and starts sliding across the room. Many monsters get out of the way, but he starts to panic when he spots a young girl and a pregnant woman walking by.

"AAH! Get out of the way!" Daniel called out, surprising both of them but he was too late, as he was closing in on them, and as he didn't want to hit the pregnant woman, he did his best to move out of the way, but unfortunately he hit the girl instead, throwing them both to the hotel floor...
