Welcome to the story, I am the Archivist. While I am aiding the hero's of My Hero Academia, I have sent a gift to the Great Tomb of Nazarick. They plan to conquer a world, they should see the heroes and villains of other worlds. Now, let us see how they are enjoying my gift.
Ainz Ooal Gown, once the name of one of the most powerful guilds in Yggdrasil, it is now the name of the growing Sorcerer King, has gained the goal of ruling the New World. At first only a statement to a trusted ally, it has become the achievement that the denizens of the Great Tomb of Nazarick will present to the Supreme One, his 'box of jewels'. Little to their knowledge, others have desired to share their goal. No story progresses without the help of inspiration. And the inspiration was given, in the form of a book.
Lord Ainz had discovered the book in his room on the 9th floor, laid out on his bed. He had confirmed after reviewing the memories of the eight-bladed assassins in his room that nobody had entered or exited the room. The book simple appeared over the bed, after it appeared to have seeped through the air as if it were a weathered tarp and dropped onto the bed. He then opened the book, discovering a note places inside. It read
"Dear Lord Momonga/Lord Ainz Ooal Gown,
I know you will not trust this message, but I know your story. The player of Yggdrasil who has found himself in the New World. In this grimoire, you will find the recordings of the series, Death Battle. I have sent you this in hopes that you or your servants will be inspired by their contents. If you plan to take over the world, you will need to understand how to grow your power. It should be compatible with the illusion projection item obtained in Yggdrasil. I recommend showing the show inside of your arena, so you have ample room if you choose to invite more members of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. To keep the origins of this scripture secret, tell the Guardians it was a final gift sent from the Supreme Ones to guide them into the future.
Sincerely, The Archivist
P.S. Remember this saying 'A warrior fights for his honor, and a poet writes for his audience, but a king rules for all.'"
After reading this, Ainz was awestruck (He was unaware he was able to feel that emotion anymore). Was this from a player, no, he had never heard of a player called "The Archivist" before. Was it a deity of the New World, and if so, why help him? And furthermore, how would they know about his old world and who he was? As the effects of his undead form suppressed his emotions, he began to think more clearly with his emotions suppressed. He had heard about this series in his previous life, it was a film series where opponents were put against each other in simulations to see who would win. He realized that he was given this series since it gave the skills and techniques of each opponent, which could be studied and used by the residents of this New World, Magic and Supernatural Species allowed it to happen. He can use this to teach his guardians, and in turn the members that were under their individual directions, would be able to apply them to their own power. This would be a great help, but he needed to be careful. He had to make sure that the guardians didn't see himself as weak in comparison to the fighters. He would make sure to cross that bridge when it came. But for now, it is time to assemble the guardians.
"My Lord Ainz, we have all arrived."
Albedo bowed in respect and admiration in front of Ainz Ooal Gown, an action that was repeated by the rest of the guardians. From the honorable Cocytus and self-sacrificing Victim to the loyal Elf Twins and Diligent Demiurge. Everyone had arrived at the Colosseum of the 6th Floor per their Supreme One's order. They had been performing their duties throughout the Tomb, and were surprised to hear that their lord had called them to a meeting. The last few times they were there, it was to announce that they were to rule the new world and too set an example to the thieves that arrived in Nazarik. Whatever the reason for their summoning, it was more important that anything they had experienced since Lord Ainz's declaration to take over the New World.
"Good, thank you all for arriving on such short notice from your duties" Replied Ainz, he stood in front of the guardians, the grimoire on one hand and the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown. "I hope I didn't disturb any of you."
"Of course not," Said Demiurge, his eagerness to see their reason for being summoned was barley contained, seeing the book in their lord's hands must be the focus, "If you choose to summon us all here, it must be for a great purpose"
"You are correct, I have found an item of great perportortions on the 9th floor. An item that holds tremendous value that I didn't know existed until now."
"What is it my Lord Ainz?" Asked Shalltear, the anticipation from her lord was killing her.
"A final gift from the Supreme Ones, a grimoire that contains stories of great warriors from other worlds"
As their lord held out this item as if he were a profit, the guardians saw this truly as a message from the Supreme Ones, their creators, their gods. The knowledge of this gift brought as much amazement to the guardian's, if not greater, as surprise that their creators would impart on them as a final show of kindness and affection. Each guardian began wondering what was contained in the book, and how it reached them.
"What a joyous day my Lord Ainz," Said Albedo, treasuring the man she loved more than what he held in his hand "Will you be reading us the contents of their grimoire, we would be most glad to hear you voice speak tales of warriors great enough to capture the attention the attentions of the Supreme Ones?"
"I am flattered Albedo" Ainz answered, causing a small squeal of joy from Albedo by the fact she was able to flatter him, much to Shalltear's and Aura's annoyance,"but I will not be reading this grimoire. The stories in this book with an item from our previous world, capable of projecting illusions from magic texts written in a special ink only available to the Supreme Ones. 'In reality, it was a common guild item that allowed players to record their fight in the third person and play them like a movie for themselves or others to enjoy or review for future battles' "
While Albedo was disappointed that she wouldn't be hearing the voice of her Lord Ainz reading the text, although she didn't let it show, she wondered how important these warriors were to be recorded in such a manner, for their very existence to be kept alive in that grimoire. This thought was not hers alone, shared with the other guardians of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Cocytus in particular wondered what he could learn from the strength of such warriors.
"Summon: Scribe Projector" As Ainz raised his staff, the jewels glew bright colors as a large, white, flat pillar appeared, as well as seats to sit down in front of the pillar with the Scribe Projector appearing above those seats, an item that could be compared in characteristic to a Cinématographe, only painted with golden details and floating in the air.
"Everyone, we shall take our seats and begin reviewing the contents of this grimoire"
Following the instructions of their lord, they stood and began moving toward their seats while their lord placed the grimoire in the designated slot in the machine. Shalltear and Albedo fought over who would take the seats near their Lord Ainz, the seats eventually taken by Victim and Demiurge while the two were distracted much to their dismay. As everyone finished seating themselves, Ainz activated the Scribe Projector as the pillar in front of them began to glow from the Projector's Light.
Thank you for reading the first chapter of this series, with the movie coming out, I felt the need to start this series due to the potential I see for it. Make sure to like, subscribe and follow for any updates to come. Thank you for reading, and welcome to the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Human.
