" Kristen, come right back

I've been waiting for you

To slip back in bed

When you light the candle "

There's always a thin line between friends and lovers. Sometimes he's just too dense to see it, despite his friends insisting he's in love. She, too carefree, doesn't notice the difference.

So in a moment of desperation driving but whatever food he ate that day and all their friends comments about a guy from the health department having a crush on Lucy, he 'accidentally' kiss her, in front of her house.

Before running away, because the 21-year-old in question doesn't have the mental capacity to deal with the consequences afterward.

He blurted out, "I love you, more than any friend does. Not like the way you love your brother or love the straw hat your uncle gave" Lucy chases after him, kissing Zoro deeply each second filled with longing and years of suppressed feelings.

"I thought you wouldn't have confessed" The kiss paused, she was breathless and laughing

"I'm an idiot to not say that sooner" Zoro sent her a soft smile

"My idiot," she said

"Just to make sure, you love me like I love you right? Not like you love Ussop or that idiot dart-brow and not like you love the cute dogs or cats? Not like-"

"I'm not kissing their lips right??"

He gazes her eyes, thumb stroking and caressing her face. Both of them blushes by the cold night and the unlimited burst of love in the air. He pulled her into a big bear hug, feeling the presence of her that fit perfectly in his embrace so warm, so small—

"QUITE HUGGING MY LITTLE SISTER YOU PERVERTED SEAWEED" Ace, roaring from the second-floor balcony. Sabo tugged his hoodie to prevent him launched into where their little sister at.

"Easy, Ace. We already make promises not to hurt Lucy's friend right?" Sabo's tone was calm, but Zoro could feel the threat behind it.

"Lu, I think I should go back before your brothers slice me into sashimi" Zoro still took his time to appreciate the way his now girlfriend glowing from the streetlamps, how can he leave when he just wanted to take her and fit her in his pocket?

When the pair of sandals were thrown at him, Zoro steals a quick peck on Lucy's lips before bolting out to the street,

"Zoro, that's the wrong direction" Lucy yells after him.

The next day, he can't wait to meet her. So he shows up at her house before Lucy already states that she is alone and her brothers are going on a trip.

He brings a box of fried chicken and 2 cartons of Pizza. They would have a feast, watching Lucy's favorite movies and spending time just two of them.

It still feels like a dream, laying on the family sofa and watching the girl of his dream wearing her old brother's big t-shirt with a messy bun. Her hand placing on her hips with the remote in his other hand, she is going back to forth about what movies they should watch

"Lu, come here" Zoro opened the blanket, inviting her back.

Lucy just chuckled into the idea and dived herself into the warm embrace.

Zoro has been waiting for this, missing this connection. Missing the ways her soft hair tickled his chin, and the way the warmth radiated from her skin.

She looks into his grey eyes, before planting kiss everywhere in his face. Both cheeks and nose, not to forget multiple pecks on lips, and like a competition, Zoro returned the favor, kissing both of her eyes dearly, nose, and lips. Which resulted in the most angelic sounds of her laughing.

Both of them forget about the movie, it can entertain itself not like they pay any kind to watch it. Not to waste time, choosing which one to accompany them. Just Lucy in his arms, a warm blanket that covered them, and her sunshine smile so he would spend time to fix the remained time in the past where he was too chickened out to say he loved her. Everything is perfect, all of this is perfect, its too perfect—

"Lu, we're back! I hope I don't see any sight of a broccoli man on the sofa making out with my baby sister" Ace's voice booms out from the doorway.

"Shit! Lu, you said your brothers are on the trip! Why they are already back?!" Zoro panics, but Luffy to comfortable she dazes off pining for Zoro to stay still as her pillow

"Yeah, they are on a trip to the supermarket" Lucy half giggled. Zoro can feel his heartbeat racing with every footsteps he hears.

"You wouldn't believe what we ran into!" Sabo chimed happily, opening the door with the kick of his leg.

"Grandpa is here!" Ace and Sabo scream in unison, striking a pose that shows Garp now posing like a bodybuilder. Their smiles faded, seeing her baby sister and her adorable granddaughter cuddling with a green-haired man on their sofa couch. To make things worse the TV played a movie with a frantic man and woman moaning.

Zoro knows when death is near, and the cozy couch with his dream girl in his arms would be the witness of his own funeral.
