The vibrant atmosphere of Wet World buzzed with excitement as the family basked in the warm sun, a perfect day to celebrate Scooby's swift recovery. After a few tense days when it seemed uncertain whether the beloved Great Dane would fully regain his mobility, the unexpected moment of full healing had sparked a spontaneous plan for a joyful outing to the water park.
The cheerful sounds of families enjoying the attractions and the tantalizing smell of popcorn and cotton candy filled the surroundings. Earlier, Shaggy had made sure to call their friends Fred, Velma, and Daphne to share the good news about Scooby's healing, and they all sent their best wishes with excitement echoing in their voice.
Eagerly, Shaggy and Scooby had dashed off to the food stand before taking their seats with Muriel, Eustace, and Courage.
As the announcer's voice boomed through the loudspeakers, exclaiming, "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Wet World!"
"Oh Eustace, Isn't this exciting?" Muriel asked as she ate some of her popcorn.
"Ah, big deal," Eustace complained as he ate his hot dog.
Meanwhile, Shaggy and Scooby were navigating the crowded snack stand, their eyes lighting up at the vast array of treats, proving yet again that watching a show on an empty stomach was simply out of the question. As they finally made it to their seats beside Muriel, Eustace, and Courage.
Courage turned his expressive eyes toward them and exclaimed, "Shaggy! Scooby! Where have you been? The show is about to start!"
Scooby, mouth half-full of nachos, managed to mumble, "Rorry, Rourage. Rhe line for the snack bar was…LONG."
Shaggy chimed in, his heart still racing with excitement, "Like yeah, really long. You can't watch a show on an empty stomach, right Scooby?"
Scooby nodded enthusiastically, his eyes wide with anticipation.
Courage, exasperated yet amused by their antics, rolled his eyes and muttered, "I'm used to it by now," but a tinge of a smile crept onto his face, showing he didn't mind their silly behavior too much.
"Like, thanks for taking us to Wet World, Aunt Muriel," Shaggy said, his gratitude genuine and heartfelt.
"Reah, thanks!" Scooby added, wagging his tail in appreciation.
"I'm glad you're having fun boys," Muriel replied.
"And now, Nowhere Wet World is proud to present the world famous, one and only... Jojo. The amazing performing dolphin," the announcer declared.
In that moment, Jojo made a breathtaking entrance, leaping gracefully into the air and causing ripples of joy to sweep through the crowd. With each playful splash, laughter erupted, echoing off the water's surface.
"Yay!/Ray!" Courage and Scooby cheered in unison, their excitement bubbling over.
"Like, wow!" Shaggy echoed, his enthusiasm infectious.
"Ooh!" Muriel marveled.
"Blah, blah, blah," Eustace complained again.
The dolphin, seemingly playful, swam past Eustace and playfully splashed him and had a fish in his mouth, sending a ripple of laughter through the audience, especially from Scooby who couldn't contain his giggles.
Suddenly, Shaggy's attention was caught by the sight of the fish still hanging from Eustace's mouth, and he seized the opportunity to lighten the mood.
"Allow me, Uncle Eustace," he offered with a bright smile, deftly plucking the fish away and launching it back into the water, where it splashed back into its aquatic realm.
Eustace doesn't say a word due to his pride.
With a mischievous grin, Shaggy leaned closer to his uncle and whispered, "You're welcome," his voice laced with lightheartedness.
As Jojo showcased his extraordinary talents playing harmonica, tapping a makeshift drum, and creating a whimsical bubble spectacle it became clear that this dolphin was not just an act: he was pure entertainment wrapped in a smooth, slippery package.
Shaggy couldn't contain his excitement, exclaiming, "Like that's one talented dolphin. Wait until the gang sees this."
Courage mirrored his enthusiasm, adding, "He even plays the harmonica!"
"Shoe-off know-nothing guppy," Eustace complained soaked before throwing his hotdog at the dolphin.
The scene took a comedic turn when Jojo, by some twist of fate, caught the hot dog in his blowhole and reacted with evident displeasure. As Jojo swam over to the family, he made a beeline for Muriel and Shaggy, his big eyes sparkling with curiosity as if he were inviting them to bond in this bizarre yet delightful moment.
"Can we get a picture with you, dolphin dude?" Shaggy asked excitedly, his phone already ready to capture the magic unfolding before him.
Jojo nodded enthusiastically, his head bobbing up and down, clearly ready for his close-up.
Shaggy handed Muriel his phone, and she began snapping photos of Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage all beaming in childish glee while she also offered her popcorn as a friendly gesture.
After she took the picture, Jojo took the opportunity to express his appreciation by devouring some of the popcorn, only to humorously spit it all over Eustace, who was already looking disgruntled.
The scene was comical, and Shaggy couldn't help but laugh uproariously, exclaiming, "Not eating that!"
"Re neither," Scooby snickered, adding an air of lightheartedness to the chaos.
Unamused, Jojo retaliated by splashing water over the family again, reigniting the jovial atmosphere but inciting Eustace's stubborn pride.
"You call that swimming?! That ain't swimming! Heck, I could swim BETTER and FASTER than that!" Eustace foolishly challenged the dolphin.
"Uncle Eustace, what are you doing?" Shaggy questioned, a hint of nervousness creeping into his voice as the absurdity of the situation sank in.
"Is that a challenge I hear?" the announcer asked, "Ladies and gentlemen, this man claims he can outswim Jojo!"
The audience erupted into laughter as Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage exchanged concerned glances, their minds racing with the impending disaster.
"With one hand tied behind my back!" Eustace added turning to the audience.
"But Eustace, you haven't swum in years,"Muriel reminded him.
The tension was palpable, and Scooby's apprehensive whisper, "Ruriel is right Rustace. Rhis sounds like a bad idea," only added to the escalating drama.
"Challenge accepted," the announcer suddenly said next to the family, he then turned to the dolphin, "What do you say Jojo?"
The dolphin nodded, seemingly ready for the showdown.
Courage, feeling the weight of impending chaos, sighed, "Why does nobody ever listen to me and my friends?"
"You two will race to tend of the tank. I tell you what. I'll let you use both of your hands," the announcer declared before mocking Eustace.
Eustace, caught up in the moment, stripped off his clothes to reveal a swimming suit underneath, tossing his discarded garments at Courage, much to the pink little beagle's dismay.
"Hey!" Courage protested, scrambling to dodge the unwanted garment. Despite the chaos, the pink little beagle couldn't help but note, "At least he's wearing something under there."
"Rhis CANNOT end well," Scooby whispered to Shaggy and Courage, who all felt a looming sense of dread.
Muriel, exasperated, said, "Eustace, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to show that smart-aleck dolphin that a fish ain't no match for a man,"Eustace declared as he began to climb the ladder to get to a diving board.
Shaggy could hardly contain his apprehension, voicing, "Uncle Eustace, are you sure you know what you're doing? This sounds like a bad idea, man."
Eustace, dismissing the concern with a sharp snap, replied, "Don't smart talk me, nephew!"
"Oh, dear," Muriel gasped when Eustace got onto the diving board.
"Like, I can't watch this!" Shaggy blurted out, covering his eyes with a shudder, knowing this was bound to end poorly.
"On your marks... get set... GO!" the announcer declared before beginning the race.
Eustace made a grand dive that instead resulted in a resounding thud, and he promptly sank to the bottom of the pool while Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage winced in unison at the sight.
"Rhat's gonna leave a mark," Scooby murmured, his voice thick with trepidation.
Meanwhile, Jojo, stifling laughter, speedily completed the race with style, effortlessly leaping through a hula hoop held by the announcer, before surfacing with Eustace precariously perched on his beak.
"What's huh?" he asked confused while still moving his arms and legs as if he was swimming.
In a display of humiliation, Jojo spun him around and heroically propelled him through the hoop like a beach ball before effortlessly returning him to his seat with a flick of his tail fins, sending the crowd into fits of laughter.
Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage couldn't help but cringe at the sight, Eustace now resembling nothing more than a HUMAN KNOT.
"It's okay. It's no shame to lose a swimming race to a dolphin," Muriel told Eustace in an attempt to get him to stop, but as usual, his ego prevented him from doing so.
"Aunt Muriel is right, Uncle Eustace. Like, winning isn't everything, you know," Shaggy chimed in with his characteristic laid-back tone, attempting to diffuse the tension that hung thick in the air.
"Oh, yeah. Well, I ain't getting beat by some stinking fish," Eustace declared to the smug looking dolphin, "I want a REMATCH!Tomorrow! Same time, same place."
"Ladies and gentlemen! We have a REMATCH!" the announcer declared with the crowd cheering.
Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage couldn't help but groan, face-palming in unison as they collectively realized the chaos yet to come.
"Rhis is just going to end even worse!" Scooby lamented, his voice filled with foreboding.
As the blazing sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a golden hue across the bustling entrance of Wet World, Shaggy, Scooby, Courage, and Muriel stood impatiently at the gate, their excitement palpable yet overshadowed by the absence of Eustace. The melting anticipation of splashing water slides, thrilling rides, and delicious snacks hung in the air, but every minute felt like an eternity as they waited for him to arrive. When Eustace finally swaggered up to the gate.
"Eustace what took you so long?" Muriel asked.
"We had to work out a deal for the rematch," Eustace answered.
Scooby's ears perked up at the mention of a deal, curiosity mingling with apprehension. "Rhat kind of deal, Rustace?" he squeaked, his voice high-pitched, betraying his nervousness.
"If I lose, Muriel and that Shaggy-haired-fella are gonna have to pack up their things and move in with the dolphin and be his sidekicks!" Eustace answered.
The shockwave of his words sent chills down Shaggy and Scooby's spines as they exclaimed in unison, "YOU WHAT!?/ROU WHAT!?"
Shaggy's panic deepened as he imagined a future where he and Muriel would be separated from their friends, including their beloved Scooby and Courage. "Zoinks! Like, we're gonna be dolphin sidekicks forever? That's like, the worst nightmare ever!" he lamented, his voice rising higher with each word.
"Oh, dear," Muriel gasped in horror.
Courage, trembling with anxiety, couldn't help but let out a desperate, high-pitched, "NOOOOO!"
Meanwhile, Scooby's usually carefree demeanor transformed into fiery fury; with a roar of indignation he shouted, "ROU BET RAGGY AND RURIEL FOR A REMATCH!? ROU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT!" His fists clenched, a fierce protector of his friends, he lunged at Eustace, ready to unleash a whirlwind of canine rage.
Seeing their friend's unraveling fury, Shaggy and Courage sprang into action, frantically grasping Scooby, trying to hold him back.
"Like, Scoob! Calm down!" Shaggy implored, desperation coloring his voice. "It's not worth it, man!"
Courage, though quaking in his paws, added, "Don't let him get to you!"
They had never witnessed Scooby so enraged before: it was a sight both shocking and invigorating.
"RI'll show that old geezer! Re'll regret this!" Scooby growled, struggling against their hold, his loyalty to his friends igniting a fire within him that made him a force to be reckoned with.
In the upstairs bathroom, the air was thick with anticipation and a touch of chaos as Muriel urged her husband Eustace on with an earnestness that belied the absurdity of the situation.
"You can do it Eustace. Come on, Eustace swim! I don't want to be sidekick to Jojo dolphin," Muriel said as she held a stopwatch.
Shaggy, his brow glistening with sweat and his heart racing, chimed in nervously, "Like, yeah Uncle Eustace! You gotta win this race! Swim Uncle Eustace, swim!"
There was an undeniable camaraderie in their words, a mixed blend of support and urgency that filled the small space as they attempted to rally Eustace's dwindling confidence.
"Shut up, will ya. I'm concentrating," Eustace complained nearly out of breath.
But just as he hunkered down to focus, disaster struck his absentmindedness led him to accidentally yank the drain plug, unleashing a torrent of water that rapidly spiraled toward oblivion, dragging him down with it. In mere moments, all that remained visible of Eustace was his rear end and the brightly colored bathing suit he had reluctantly donned for the occasion, a ridiculous sight that would certainly haunt him later.
Amidst the swirling chaos, Scooby slumped against the bathtub, delivering a melodramatic groan, "Roh-no, not again!"
Courage sighed long and hard, his exhale full of resignation and trepidation, declaring, "This is going to be a long night."
In the dim light of the cluttered basement, Shaggy, Scooby, Courage, and Muriel were huddled around a peculiar contraption that Eustace had hastily constructed from an assortment of junk gathered from every corner of the house.
Eustace hopped into the contraption, "Okay dogs and nephew, one of you let her rip!" Eustace bellowed.
Shaggy and Scooby exchanged a look of wide-eyed anxiety, their own apprehension palpable.
"Like, uh, what do we do, Scoob?" Shaggy stammered, his voice rising in pitch as uncertainty gripped him tighter than the machine's rusty bolts.
"RI'm not sure, Raggy," Scooby replied, his voice matching the tension, "RI'm just as clueless."
Meanwhile, Courage, with a lump in his throat and his mind racing, approached a large dial on the contraption. "I hope this isn't a mistake…Hmm. Let's try this switch,"he whispered, trembling slightly as he turned the dial, activating the machine.
Suddenly, Eustace was propelled into a bizarre simulation of swimming, making triumphant noises that echoed off the basement walls.
"Row's the machine Rustace?" Scooby inquired, a hint of curiosity piercing through his anxiety.
"Hey, look at me, I'm swimming," Eustace cheered as he continued to swim.
"Oh, lovely," Muriel said happy.
Shaggy and Scooby exchanged relieved looks, a weight lifting from their shoulders.
"Like, wow, he's really doing it!" Shaggy exclaimed, growing optimistic.
"Raybe this won't be so bad after all," Scooby managed a hesitant optimism.
Courage, feeling emboldened, offered an unexpected thumbs up, stating, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but all right, Farmer!"
"I can go way faster than this. Speed it up, dog," Eustace cockily ordered.
Courage's heart raced as he scanned the array of buttons, pondering, "Which one makes it go faster?" Driven by a mix of determination and dread, Courage pressed random buttons, causing the machine to jerk forward at alarming speeds.
Suddenly, a blaring warning pierced through the whimsy of the moment, sending panic coursing through Shaggy and Scooby.
"Zoinks! Courage! What did you do?!" Shaggy yelped, his wide eyes betraying his horror.
Scooby echoed his friend's dismay, "Rikes!Rourage! Rurn it off!"
"I'm trying!" Courage squeaked, feeling overwhelmed and out of his depth, "I'm just a house dog, not a pilot!" Desperation set in as he fumbled over the panel until his eyes lit up with hope at the sight of a power switch. "Found it!" he shouted over the cacophony, flipping the switch only for the machine to screech to a sudden halt, but alas, the momentum had already taken its toll, and the contraption crashed into the wall with a resounding bang.
Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage braced themselves for the aftermath as Eustace was slowly brought back into view, appearing somewhat comical with his limbs detached from his body but somehow still intact. They all winced at the absurdity of the sight, a mixture of disbelief and relief washing over them.
"That's gotta hurt," Courage cringed, seeing Eustace's predicament.
"Well, at least he's still alive," Shaggy mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper as a hesitant grin appeared on his face.
The aroma of sassafras tea hung in the air like a warm, inviting blanket as Muriel bustled into the room, balancing a tray laden with freshly baked biscuits and steaming cups of her special brew. The comforting scent enveloped Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage, who were huddled together on the well-worn couch, each feeling a mixture of concern and confusion over Eustace, who sat heavily in his chair, encased in a full body cast, a vivid and unsettling reminder of the misfortune that had struck him.
The atmosphere in the room was thick with the bittersweet aroma, a stark contrast to the heavy hearts within.
"Here, boys, have a biscuit. And a wee cup of sassafras tea," Muriel said walking into the living room holding a tray full of biscuits and tea.
Shaggy and Scooby's eyes lit up with joy at the sight of the biscuits, their fingers eagerly reaching out to grab a couple, voices blending together as they exclaimed, "Thanks Aunt Muriel/Rhanks Ruriel!" Their laughter, though momentarily sweet, twisted into a somber reminder of the weight that still loomed over them.
"It's no use trying to cheer me up Muriel. I'm a failure, I can't do it," Eustace complained before crying.
"Boys, we've got to do something! Otherwise, me and Shaggy are going to have to grow gills!" Muriel said worried.
The thought of such an absurd future sent panic coursing through Shaggy, his eyes widening in horror as he stammered, "I'm not spending the rest of my life with a dolphin! Like, it would take a psychiatrist to get Uncle Eustace back to his senses," his words tumbling out with a hint of urgency.
Courage perked up at the mention of a psychiatrist: an idea began to blossom in his mind despite the fear that rattled within him. "Psychiatrist? Guys, I have an idea," he announced, a flicker of hope igniting in his usually anxious heart.
Half an hour later, a sudden knock on the door jolted Muriel, Shaggy, and Scooby from their relaxed chatter about the impending swimming competition. They rose from their seats, curiosity piqued, and shuffled toward the door to see who it was.
To their astonishment, Courage stood before them, clad in an outlandish disguise complete with a thick mustache and oversized glasses, fully prepared to enact the elaborate plan they had concocted just the day prior. The plan involved trying to hypnotize Eustace into shedding his lifelong reservations about swimming in order to help him compete in the upcoming race. Shaggy and Scooby exchanged bewildered glances, their eyes wide with confusion as they took in Courage's outrageous transformation.
"Like, who are you?" Shaggy stammered, clearly not recognizing their friend despite the familiar quirk in his voice.
Scooby echoed his sentiments, "Reah, I've never seen you before," shaking his head in disbelief.
Courage quickly realized that he had to act fast, so he leaned in, pulling off his disguise just long enough to whisper urgently, "Guys, it's me. Play along," before winking and replacing the mask, his heart racing with a mix of excitement and anxiety.
"Oh, look, Eustace. It's Doctor Von Boobenmeyer, the world-famous psychiatrist. Please come in," Muriel told him.
With that, Courage, still perfectly in character, situated a suitcase in front of impatient Eustace, who peered at him with a blend of suspicion and intrigue.
Clearing his throat dramatically, Courage adopted a deep, bombastic German accent, exclaiming, "Guten tag, my friend. Please, tell me, what troubles you?"
"I'm just a great big nothing doc," Eustace answered.
Courage, undeterred, waved his paw dismissively, "Nonsense! I have just the thing," he proclaimed and popped open the suitcase to reveal an old pocket watch attached to a string, its glimmer capturing Eustace's attention. "This, my friend, is my special type of watch. It will unlock your hidden potential."
"Oh," Eustace exclaimed as he looked at the pocket watch. His eyes turning to swirls indicating that he was under the trance.
"Re says you need to crack open your hard, awful self and let out your better parts," Scooby ventured, attempting to add to the surreal atmosphere.
"Out with my old self. In with myself," he repeated a few times before falling asleep.
"I sure hope this works Courage," Muriel said as Courage removed the disguise.
"Like, me too," Shaggy echoed, a hint of anxiety in his voice.
"Reah," Scooby added emphatically, "he's gotta win this race!" knowing full well that the stakes were high for Muriel and Shaggy.
As the minutes passed, Muriel and Courage fell into an easy slumber in a creaky rocking chair while Shaggy and Scooby dozed softly on the couch, the anticipation of the next day hanging in the air like an unspoken promise.
Suddenly, a loud, boisterous shout pierced the peacefulness: "Wake up!" jolting Muriel, Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage from their dreams into a whirlwind of confusion.
"Eustace, is that you?" Muriel asked shocked, "You look grand."
"It's my new self woman," he explained as he set them back down.
Shaggy, still processing the excitement, asked, "Like, are you ready for tomorrow, Uncle Eustace?"
"Let me at the fish. I'll make chopped herring out of him," he proudly declared.
Seated on the rickety wooden bench overlooking the shimmering expanse of water, Shaggy, Scooby, Courage and Muriel were a whirlwind of excitement, cheering at the top of their lungs as Eustace prepared to face off against Jojo the dolphin in an outrageous race. Muriel, her face painted with enthusiasm and a tinge of worry, waved a massive flag emblazoned with Eustace's stern visage, her cheers blending with the enthusiastic shouts from the others.
However, Jojo the dolphin, all too aware of the crowd's fervor, let out a chattering laugh directed at them, his playful arrogance causing the quartet to huddle together, arms wrapped tightly around one another as a wave of fear washed over them.
"Rice dolphin," Scooby stammered, his voice quivering with trepidation, his big eyes darting nervously toward the water where the dolphin prepared to show off its speed.
Courage muttered nervously, "I hope the farmer can handle this, or my name is Sheldon J. Plankton, and thank goodness it's not," while glancing anxiously at Eustace.
"Starting off our show today, a race. The rematch between Jojo and Farmer Bagge," the announcer declared while motioning over to them. Eustace was doing squats while the dolphin swim across the surface of the water using only his tail fin.
"Go, Eustace! Go, Eustace!" Muriel cheered as she waved a flag with Eustace's face on it.
Courage clapped enthusiastically, yelling, "Go farmer go!"
Shaggy added his own roar of encouragement, "Go get him Uncle Eustace!"
Scooby added with a toothy grin, "Rhow that dolphin who's boss!"
"Whoever can get through Wet World's wacky waterway's first will be the winner," the announcer explained the rules.
Their excitement was slightly dampened as a particularly daunting obstacle was revealed…A FIRE PIT! Courage's eyes widened in terror, his voice a piercing scream at the sight of it.
"Oh man, a fire pit!" Shaggy cried, clutching Scooby tightly as visions of flames danced grotesquely in his mind.
Scooby gulped nervously, his heart racing.
"On your marks. Get set," the announcer said before using a duck to start the race.
As the countdown commenced with the announcer using a cheeky duck to signal the start, Eustace and the dolphin shot forward into the unpredictable course. They deftly navigated through three rings and soared off a slide before facing the daunting task of climbing over a net hovering precariously above the fire pit, their competition becoming increasingly fierce. Courage, Shaggy, and Scooby held each other tightly, their fears melting slightly as it appeared Eustace was keeping pace with the dolphin.
Don't let him win, Uncle Eustace! It's our freedom on the line! Shaggy thought, heart pounding as he envisioned the worst-case scenario.
Throughout the course, Eustace showed his skills and managed to take the lead while scoring baskets in a mini basketball challenge, only to have it snatched away when he faced the diving board, a moment marred by the announcer cheating him with a well-placed bucket.
"That's not fair! He's cheating!" Muriel exclaimed upset.
Shaggy, Scooby and Courage all witnessed the once-vibrant farmer surface, a defeated look on his face conveying despair.
Eustace swam to the surface, his expression a mixture of anger and defeat. "It's no use. I'm just a great big nothing."
The wet spectacle revealed a startling turn of events when they noticed the bucket's impact had reverted Eustace to his old, defeated self—a dejection that sent tremors of panic through Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage as they fretted over the potential consequences of Eustace's failure. The weight of their fate bore down on them, threatening to doom Muriel and Shaggy to a life of servitude under the malicious Jojo.
"Oh-no! He's going to lose! It's over!" Shaggy cried out, desperation fueling their resolve.
They rushed to Eustace's side, ready to lift his spirits.
Just then, an idea sparked within Shaggy, "Little pink dude! Hypnotize him, just like last time! Like, we can't let Jojo win!"
Courage frantically pulled forth his pocket watch, the crucial tool for turning Eustace's despair into motivation.
What's huh? Get away from me," Eustace said bitterly before splashing the cowardly trio with water before Courage could fully hypnotize him, "Stupid dogs and stupid nephew."
"Rhat a jerk," Scooby remarked, so exasperated by Eustace's bitterness.
Shaggy exclaimed in a panic, "Oh-no! Like, what are we going to do? We're doomed!"
Courage, puzzled, mused, "I don't get it. Hypnotizing the farmer worked on him last time, but it didn't this time."
Suddenly, Shaggy's attention was caught by something peculiar, "Uh, little Courage guy?" he pointed.
Scooby and Courage followed his gaze in shock, they realized that Courage had actually hypnotized Jojo and the announcer instead. In an explosive turn of events, the dolphin detonated into a TINY FISH, while the announcer's head exploded, unveiling a TINY REPTILIAN CREATURE.
"You don't see that every day," Courage commented, bemused.
"Go, Jojo, go," the lizard shouted.
"Rhat's...weird," Scooby said, scratching his head in confusion.
Shaggy, flabbergasted, exclaimed, "Like, I've seen, like, a lot of crazy things uncovering disguises over the years, but this is, like, ridiculous!"
Meanwhile, the tiny fish swam desperately, but it was no match for Eustace, who plowed through to victory, crossing the finish line just as the fish hit the ground with a comical thud.
"He did it boys!" Muriel exclaimed happy that she and her nephew were safe now, "Eustace beat the fishy!"
Courage sighed in relief, declaring, "Thank goodness," as if all burdens had lifted.
Shaggy added a light-hearted joke, "Well! I guess cheaters don't prosper."
Scooby chimed in with a giggle, "Reah," embracing the moment.
Though the details surrounding Eustace's unexpected victory remained a mystery to Shaggy, Scooby, and Courage, joy flooded their hearts as they celebrated the win that meant Shaggy and Muriel's freedom was secured, leaving them feeling triumphant against the odds yet again.
"Come on. Who wants to race me?" Eustace asked as he swam around the giant tank filled with water.
The room was a cacophony of unexpected camaraderie, with Shaggy and Scooby sprawled ungainly on the couch, their mouths filled with Scooby Snacks as if they were the ultimate indulgence. Courage nestled safely on Muriel's lap, peering around with wide, anxious eyes. Eustace, wearing nothing but his brightly colored swimming trunks, put on a show of bravado as he leaped through a series of hoops he'd set up in the tank, splashing water joyfully everywhere.
"Oh, my," Muriel exclaimed happily as Eustace jumped through some hoops. "Isn't this cozy? Everything is back to normal. Now that Eustace has his self-esteem back."
"Rell, I never thought I'd say this, but it IS good to see Rustace with his confidence back," Scooby chimed in, surprising himself with the unexpected compliment.
"Come on. Who wants to race me?" Eustace asked, oblivious to the tiny cracks that began to appear at the impact points around the tank.
"Uh, like, Uncle Eustace? Maybe you should…" Shaggy stammered, desperately trying to steer Eustace away from catastrophe.
"Reah, maybe you should…" Scooby echoed, his wide eyes filled with doggy concern.
"Shut it, you two! I wanna win! Win! Win!" Eustace shouted as he started to bang against the side of the tank in frustration and impatience.
Just as he issued a challenge to an imaginary rival, the tank began to shudder violently, and the water erupted over the edges, pouring out in a furious flood that soaked the room in an instant. The couch, with its hapless occupants, began to drift, and Muriel and Courage in the rocking chair were swept away by the rushing torrent. Eustace flailed in the middle of the chaos, completely submerged in the freely flowing water, oblivious to the mayhem he had unwittingly unleashed.
Well that's all for this chapter, next will be Food of a Dragon. I like to thank schweenieboy for the quotes and ideas. I know it was kinda of out of character for Scooby to almost attack Eustace, but remember when people thought when SpongeBob was out of character when he nearly choked Mr. Krabs in the episode 'Can You Spare A Dime'? That's what what the inspiration for that scene. Let me guys know in the reviews/comments of what should I do for the future episodes or next chapter. And what Courage should say in future chapters. Until then this is vakarns signing out.
Food of the Dragon: A seafood dinner attracts a dragon who has not learned to fly. He is determined to eat Muriel, Eustace and Shaggy unless Shaggy, Scooby and Courage can teach him to fly.
