Nate's House, 2015:
A ticking clock.
Time was funny, Nate thought that at least. One or two days in the future somehow meant that a week had passed by in the present. But still, Nate looked at the ticking clock in his house, he was just… thinking. Daydreaming, running through the fields with his soon to be wife one of those days. The ponytail behind Katie's head bounced and flowed in the wind, she turned to him with a wonderful smile. "Oh Nate… you're so dreamy!" Katie would say, he could smell that warm, rose petal breath through his nose. "Not as amazing as you, my dear." Nate said, his voice was deep, it made Katie blush. The red in her cheeks only got redder as she looked down to find Nate bending down on one knee. "Katie Forester… There is something that I have wanted to ask you, ask you for the longest time. I wanted to ask you this since we were in grade school for a fact." Katie clasped her hands over her mouth as Nate brought out a dark red box. The dark red box was lined with yellow stitching around the edges as Nate opened it to reveal a bright, white ring with a large diamond on it.
"Katie Forester, will you marry me?"
Nate's daydream led him to drool as he was putting on his shoes. The shoe cabinet was opened, allowing the Yo-kai inside to look at this… weirdly disgusting sight. One of the Slippy' turned to the white marshmallow looking ghost. "Does he… always do this?" one of them asked. "You would be surprised about how often he was doing this as of late." Whisper commented, a drop of sweat rolling down the side of his head. "Does it have to do with those time travelers?" The other Slippy said. "Yeah… yeah it does." Whisper continued. The red cat walked down the stairs, looking at Nate. It took a few seconds before the cat pulled out a white paper fan from its stomach band, leapt up into the air, and smacked him in the back of the head. "You're twelve Nyate, stop daydreaming." Jibanyan scolded. "But… but she's gonna be my wife." Nate said, a small tear streaming down his cheek. "All in due time my dear boy, all in due time." Whisper simply put his hand on the boy's shoulder, shaking his head… or was it his body? Nate could never tell. He was still reeling from his wonderful daydream, his daydream about Katie. He was suddenly brought back into it again as a wide smile appeared on his face and he began to drool. "EW, DON'T TO DROOL ON ME!" Jibanyan said, smacking the air as drool continued to fall on his face. Nate looked down and finally stood up. "Sorry." he quickly said. "You should be, nyan." Jibanyan said, rubbing his head to get all the saliva off.
As Nate walked out the door, Jibanyan and Whisper joined him. It was a hot summer day… like most days to be honest. "Can you guys believe yesterday and the last few days?" Nate said, walking outside. "Honestly… no." Whisper admitted, it's not every day that you see your future self. Nate, himself, and Jibanyan have gone on some really weird adventures, and time doors weren't exactly the craziest thing out there. Whisper still wasn't over the "other world that was created because a ballerina couldn't dance". Time traveling wasn't exactly the weirdest thing out there. In fact, now the whole Yo-kai world knew that time traveling was possible through a magic door. Of course, Lord Enma told everyone the door was off limits, but that didn't exactly stop people, especially those hero characters, from looking into it and seeing if there was any mystery to it. It didn't help that they were constantly going around, that one hero, Little Charmer or whatever her name was, kept monologuing everything like they were in some dark gritty movie. Nate would chuckle whenever he had to hear one of those monologues. Nate could never forget her words as his daughter left the time period.
"I'll never forget this time with you… dad."
Most touching moment he had in a while, and that was saying a lot because he had quite a few touching moments over the years. Nate remembered wiping a tear from his eye. "I mean, meeting up with my future son and daughter, getting to see what the future is like. It really puts things into perspective." Nate said, twirling himself out of his house. "Nyate, we've been through time before this is nyothing nyew. The only difference is you found out you married the girl you like, nyan." Jibanyan said. "Which we must set some ground rules. Just because you married the girl of your dreams, doesn't mean you can tell her or make googly eyes at her all day. First of all." Whisper said, floating over to Nate. "That's weird, don't do that." he said, pointing at Nate's chest. "SECOND OF ALL! If you do this, you could potentially mess up the flow of time and cause an different future, one where your children don't exist and the results are so catastrophic the children of that time period will come here and will try to fix the mistakes, ultimately undoing what has just happened and causing a massive paradox that will only result in." and Whisper gasped. "The table paradox." he said, shuddering horribly. The red cat had his eyes closed and a drop of sweat rolling down his head. "I wish you would never speak again, nyan." the cat said. "It's true, I remember a three year old mentioning it. Smartest three year old I've ever met." Whisper said, "You're crazy." Nate said. He turned on his feet and looked around the corner, his friend group was there, with Bear and Eddie showing off some weird looking watches. Nate jogged up ahead, waving them on, the group waved back! "What, is that girl not going to come with you today?" Alex asked. "Who, Hailey? No, she's doing something else." Nate said. "Nate I mean this in the nicest way possible… thank god!" Alex said, letting out a sigh of relief. "Yeah, no offense man, but she was kinda…" Eddie started to twirl his finger next to his head. "Yeah no, I agree. But she's nice when you get to not be around her craziness." Nate said, scratching the back of his head. "I don't know, I thought she was nice." Katie said, smiling a bit. "Oh you Forester, always being polite in a room full of jerks." Alex said, shooting her a grin with a sly little blush. "Anyway, Nate. What do you think of these kickass watches?" Bear said, with him and Eddie showing him the watches. "They are… nice?" Nate said, backing up a little bit. They sure were in his face with these watches. "My dad had these imported from China a few weeks ago. They said they were prototypes for youth watches." Eddie explained. "Everyone here's got one." Eddie said, with Alex, Sarah, and Katie holding up their wrists. "Well why don't I get one?" Nate asked, crossing his arms. "Well, I wanted to get you one but Katie chimed in with you already having multiple so…" Eddie said, twirling his hand. "Multiple?" Nate asked, pulling his shirt collar. "Ah, don't worry about them Nyate. Your watch is special. Tell me, do these special watches from China let you see the Yo-kai Mudmunch? I think NYOT!" Jibanyan said. "Not right now guys." Nate whispered softly, though, none of his companions picked it up. "Yeah, check out these pictures I've been going through of Nate." Katie said, pulling out her phone. "Pictures of… me?" Nate said, his pupils turned to hearts.
"Hey, that is weird." Alex said, Nate looked down over Katie's phone, scrolling through many different pictures of them with the watch changing each time. "Although, you've been a bit obsessed with Nate these past few days." Sarah said, Katie's face started to turn red. "Well… he talks to himself a lot and his constantly changes and Hailey Anne also has the same watch and the two of them have totally different stories for how they got their watches…" Katie blinked as everyone stared at her with curious and almost concerned looks. "So… what are you saying?" Nate asked, chuckling at the end of the sentence. "I'm saying that you're acting weird and it's a little scary. The random outbursts in class that come to mind, you just randomly running off to nowhere and coming back like it's no big deal and not telling anyone, the weird… episodes you have that make it look like you're… possessed." Katie said, Nate just blinked. "You know, gotta give the girl credit, she's really onto you with this thing." Whisper said, floating next to Nate. "I give her a nine point five, she didn't bring up the times Nate was naked in class." Jibanyan said. "I think we all need to forget that time." Whisper said. "Yeah, Katie's right. Nate, you kinda go bonkers for no reason. So… what's up with it?" Alex said. "I… uh… I play DND?" Nate asked. "... never took you to be the guy to play DND." Bear said. "Yeah, you always seem kinda… anyway. That doesn't explain anything really." Sarah said. "Yes it does! Because I… get really involved in it and sometimes I leave to go and practice my skills in real life roleplay! And… I sometimes lose track of where I am during that and have outbursts in class." Nate said. "... I guess I can see that." Eddie said. "What? Really?" Katie seemed shocked. "Yeah, it's not like it's uncommon, he probably just gets really focused on it sometimes during class and lets his mind wander, causing the sudden outbursts." Eddie said. "I should know this, I used to be a part of a DND club in first grade." Eddie said.
"Oh wow, I just thought he had ADHD."
Everyone seemed complacent with the DND answer. Everyone, except Katie. She just had a disappointing face, she looked really sad, and the frown was stabbing Nate in the back. "First a future company, now this?" she whispered to herself. Yep, something was definitely up. Katie put a finger and pressed her cheek. "Anyway, it's hot as heck out here! Wanna go to the ice cream shop?" Eddie asked. Everyone cheered, walking towards the ice cream shop. "So… how's that company coming along?" Katie asked. "Oh! Uh, it's going good. We're going to uh, have a meeting today actually." Nate said. "Oh really?" she asked, curious. "Yeah, I just don't know what time it is." Nate said, not making eye contact with his soon to be future wife. Suddenly, there was a deafening stomp of multiple feet, everyone stopped what they were doing.
"NATHAN!"
Nate recognized the voice and his eyes almost bulged out of his body to see his future daughter standing there in… winter clothing. "How dare you leave us in the blistering heat, all alone. Waiting for you in the cold air conditioned building as we wait desperately for you, our founder of our company." Summer said, feeling her forehead and falling over. "You know, we really should stop calling Nate average all the time, this guy lives an interesting life." Alex whispered, to which her friend nodded. "It's ninety two degrees. Did you not check the weather app?" Eddie asked. "Who checks the weather app?" the boy next to her, pretty average looking like Nate himself, said, waving his hand. "Ahahaha, oh you guys. I'm so sorry. I didn't even know you were here yet." Nate said, walking up to them. "Uh… go have fun with your starting company. What's it for?" Bear asked. "Uuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhh… creating DND boards?" Nate asked, the group stared at him for a minute. "Like I said, we should really not call this guy average so often." Alex whispered to the rest of the group, to which they nodded. "Alright then, go have fun. We'll probably be hitting the arcade later." Eddie said. "Oh heck yeah, they got that new game they installed! I already have the high score." Alex said, she had a toothy grin. There was a small shine on the edge of her tooth. "No way, it just dropped." Eddie said, walking away. The group would then go on to talk about video games.
"Why does time not work well? It's like some invisible force is making time go slowly in the past while in the future, time moves much faster." Summer waved her hand in front of her face. "I told you, we probably should have dressed better." Bruno said, crossing his arms. "You wear the same thing every day!" Summer screamed at him, stomping her foot on the ground. "CAN YOU ALL STOP FOR A MINUTE?!" Whisper screamed, the one from this time period to be specific. Everyone stopped and looked at them. "First of all." Nate said, before giving a heartwarming look. "Nice to see you again." he said, there was a smile on Summer's face. "Second of all, what are you even doing here?" Nate would ask. "We're helping Komasan… Future Komasan." Isabelle said, before correcting herself. "We're trying to find his little brother Komajiro, we managed to find a trail before it went cold right at the door." Isabelle said. "Huh, so a future Komajiro is lost somewhere in the present… or past." Nate said, trying to be specific to them. "Let's summon the Koma Bros, nyan." Jibanyan said. "Oh good idea. Knowing them, they probably know where their future selves are." Whisper chimed in. "Ah yes, the past me. I would very much like to meet this version of myself." the calm and collected future Komasan stated. "Alright." Nate said, pulling out two medals. "Yo-kai Medals, do your thing!" Nate said, inserting one of them into the watch. Komajiro was the first one. The usual summoning sequence played. "IT'S TIME FOR THE CHARMING TRIBE!" the watch blurted out. "DREAM… ROULETTE!" Komajiro found himself on the face of the watch. "Go Charming! Go Charming! What's going to happen next? Yeah!" Komajiro danced side to side before going into the darkness on his phone, he had a warm smile on his face. "We will win, we always win! Cause we're charming!" Suddenly, a picture of heaven appeared. "CONGRATULATIONS!" the watch said, flashy music began to play as Komajiro danced around the face of the watch before screaming "Komajiro!" with a loud orchestra sound playing in the background. Soon after, Komasan was summoned. "Howdy fellas! What can we do ya for?" they both said in unison. "Oh my gosh, they are just as cute as ever." Summer said, holding her cheeks. "Do they have plushies? I need plushies!" Isabelle said. "You two are really into these guys." Tate said, a drop of sweat rolling down his head. "Hey guys, apparently, the future version of Komajiro ended up in this time period somehow, and we need your help to find him." Nate said, kneeling down. "The future version of Komajiro? Boy, he must be worried sick, lost in a time period all alone like a cat lost in a sewer." Komasan said. "Hey. We should get that girl with the Yo-kai Watch to help us." Bruno said, lifting his finger in the air. "... I think we can all handle it." Nate said. "Oh come on. She's your friend's dad, besides, she's a fellow detective." Summer said, wrapping her arm around Nate. "I'm sure she's busy right now."
Two minutes later:
"OF COURSE I'M NOT BUSY!"
Nate had a very unamused look as he stood outside the Hapyon Detective agency. "We're ready to help pardner, just give us the information and we'll be on the lookout." Usapyon said, pulling out his notebook. "See, this won't be so bad." Summer said to her father. "You do still know you are wearing winter clothing in the middle of ninety two degree weather." Nate said, a drop of sweat rolling down his cheek. "I know, and it's really hot out." Summer said. ""Oh my swirls!" Komasan screamed, everyone turned to find the Yo-kai riding the future Yo-kai's back. "Wheeeeeeeeee!" Komasan said, riding the slow riding ghost dog. "Big Bro! We talked about this!" Komajiro said, running after him. "Why can't we be like that?" Jibanyan asked his future self. "Do that to me and I will launch you into the atmosphere." the future Jibanyan said, the red cat of the present gulped. "Even in your not scary form you're scary." Jibanyan said with a drop of sweat. "Alright pardner's, let's go get this Komajiro!" Usapyon said, hopping down and landing like a superhero. "Yeah!" They all cheered. "OH MY SWIRLS!" Komasan said, everyone looked at him once again. "This pupper here has picked up his scent!" Komasan said, the future Komasan turned around and nodded.
"He's this way, follow me!"
Everyone ran after the two Komasan's of present and future. Tate however stopped, looking into an alleyway. The world around him went dim, almost like the color had been sucked out. He stared into the alleyway, there was a cat. A green cat with visible stink lines coming off them. The past was weird, you could actually see stink lines coming off of them, not in the future. Tate moved forward. "Hey, are you okay?" Tate asked, he held his hand. There was an unnerving vibe coming from the cat. It resembled Jibanyan, the past Jibanyan. He walked forward, finally seeing the green tails of the cat. The tails, upon closer inspection, looked very light blue. There was also stitching of what looked like purple fur. "Hello?" Tate asked, maybe he should grab his sister, but for all he knew, they were gone finding Komajiro right now. Suddenly, the cat turned. A chilling giggle as its eyes fell out of its socket, dangling from the optical nerve. The giggle turned to laughter as Tate had a sense of horror flash across his face. He screamed for his sister…
But no one came.
Mt. Wildwood:
"ARE YOU SURE HE'S HERE!?"
Whisper screamed at the dog Yo-kai. "My nose doesn't lie." the future Komasan said. "You have been saying that for the past FIVE hours! Five hours!" Whisper screamed. The Future Whisper butted in. "I have to agree, this has been going on for quite some time now, Komasan. Are you sure your brother is here?" he asked. "Give it time y'all! I'm sure we're closer than a kid near Christmas day!" Komasan of the present said, lifting a finger in determination. "Hey, isn't this the way to the Crank-a-kai?" Nate asked. "Huh, nyow that I think about it. It is." Jibanyan said, looking over at Mt. Wildwood. "Crank-a-kai?" Cole asked, looking at Nate. "Yeah, it's the machine that I got Whisper from. I honestly regret going to it. I'm stuck with Whisper." Nate said, scratching the back of his head. "NATE! YOU KNOW I CAN HEAR YOU!" Whisper screamed. "Hey, the same thing happened to me! Although, it was in the middle of an alleyway!" Summer said. "Are you implying that you are stuck with me?" the future Whisper said. "Stuck with both you and Sly, the only Yo-kai I regret befriending." Summer said, to which the future Whisper gasped in horror, turning to stone and crumbling into the ground. "Well, without Whisper, you wouldn't have met me, nyan!" Jibanyan said. "You're right, I guess he's good for something." Nate said, patting Jibanyan on the head. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Whisper screamed, both Nate and Jibanyan laughed. "Oh don't get your swirl all red Whisper, we're just messing with you." Jibanyan said.
"Same with you two, stop crying." Summer said to both Sly and Whisper, who were biting tissues and were pulling on them. "She hates us." Sly said, the future Whisper nodded. "What did we do to deserve something like this?" the future Whisper asked, letting everyone walk past him. "I can't believe we're going to the site of history!" Bruno said, stars shined in his eyes. "This whole place is a site of history. It's not often anyone gets to travel into the past." Isabelle said. Cole nodded. "Huh, the trail ends here." the Future Komasan said, a frown on his face. "At… another door?" Nate asked, walking up to it. "Wait, there's more than one?" Summer asked, walking up to it and feeling it. This door was a dark purple, a purple that had two flames on the side as well as clouds with what looked like snow falling from them. Suddenly, the door opened. Nate and Summer jumped back. Cole took a fighting stance. "Be ready everyone, we don't know what will come out of that door." Cole said, Bruno was ready. The door opened and it seemed to be fine, in Nate's eyes, it looked like a familiar town in a very familiar setting. There was snow falling to the ground and people riding bikes across a bridge, children running across a bridge, and most of it was just the bridge itself. "Huh… nothing is coming out of it." Nate said, lowering his guard.
"Hey stupid!"
Everyone turned to find a gun pointed at them. "Have fun in the sixties or whatever!" A blast of the gun launched them all through the door and with the press of a button it shut and turned to stone before crumbling and withering away. Shutendoji stood there in his human form, blinking a few times. He turned to Doppelnyan. "That's… that's all it took to defeat them? We've been following them all day, going around to parks, stores, inside random houses, even at a children's school roof… just for them to get launched into the past like that?" he asked. Doppelnyan twirled the gun around in his hand. "I wish they gave me a real gun." Doppelnyan said, the gun was really a Yo-kai blaster McKraken had modified for Doppelnyan. "I wish they put up more of a fight. I was about to call Voidera too." Shutendoji said. The two would just stand there. "So… now what?" he asked. Doppelnyan put his paw into his belly band and pulled out two movie tickets. "Age of Ultron?" he asked, Shutendoji stared before shrugging. "I heard old humans in my time period say it was good." he shrugged, and the two walked down the mountain. Passing by some girl who was walking up. "Finally, a place to clear my mind." Katie said, she took a deep breath in and then exhaled. She puckered her lips together and then whistled. "Maybe… I actually am going crazy over this." Katie said, she had to admit, this was starting to get obsessive. What started as something she thought was a massive conspiracy between Nate Adams and Hailey Anne Thomas seemed to just be… nothing. Just Nate being weird and not so ordinary as everyone thought. She looked at her phone, looked at all the pictures of her and Nate, looking at Nate's watch. She then zoomed out to just look at her and Nate herself. "I'm sorry Nate." she said, walking through the forest. A walk would clear her head. "I just thought you were doing something really crazy and… I was worried about you." she said, still talking to her phone. "Now, maybe I should be worried about myself. I have become as obsessed as Hailey Anne is obsessed with those weird anime stuff." Katie said. She had been to Hailey's apartment a few times, seeing all the manga and anime she was so passionate about. It honestly weirded Katie out.
"I guess I really care about you Nate to not want you to end up in a psych ward or end up like Hailey Anne. Maybe I care about you more than that…" Katie drifted off. Nate was… well, he was an average person for the most part. Sure, he does DND on the side and he could potentially have ADHD and is seemingly starting up a company somehow, but with all of this knowledge, Katie had thought Nate was just an average guy. And with that knowledge, she was perfectly okay with that. In fact, Nate's averageness made him different from all of the other boys in the class, Lucas was a weird individual, Bear was a bit of a hard head, and Eddie was too focused on other things than girls. Nate was an easy choice and in all honesty, if Katie and Nate grew up together, she could see them dating… and now thinking about all of that made her lost in the forest.
In a large clearing, Katie found herself staring at a lone tree in the middle of a clearing. "Creepy." she murmured to herself. She took a few steps closer, curious about the tree. She was half expecting the tree to have a lot of hearts carved into it with people who have made out under the tree, worst case scenario, she found someone hanging behind the tree. Out of fear of that possibility, she immediately checked behind the tree, nothing. Not even a noose swaying in the wind, she let out a sigh of relief and went back to the front of the tree, now looking at it curiously. There was a gacha machine right in front of it, it was old and didn't look like it was hooked up to anything. Who would place a gacha machine out in the middle of the woods? Unless someone was putting maps inside and people had to pay for it. It was scummy, but it was a perfect business tactic. "I don't need a map." she muttered to herself. She put her phone in her shorts pocket and turned.
"Feed me… feed me."
Was that… singing?
Katie turned back to the tree. "Is there a speaker?" she asked. What a creepy voice, she didn't want to buy a map now. "Feed me… feed me." The voice grew louder and louder. "Does this thing really want me to put a coin in it?" Katie asked to no one in particular. "Yeah right you crazy person. Is there a camera around here? How do you know I'm even here?" she asked. The voice continued to grow louder and louder. "LAA LAA LAA I'M NOT LISTENING!" she covered her ears and was about to walk away before it became so loud that even covering her ears wasn't enough. "FEED ME FEED ME!" it screamed. "ALRIGHT FINE! I'LL BUY A MAP FROM YOU!" it said, she pulled out a quarter from her pocket.
"I'M SO HUNGRY I NEED TO EAT!"
Katie hastily inserted the coin and turned it. Loud mechanical whirring was heard from inside the machine. Almost like it was struggling to get out the very last ball inside the machine. "Well, now you're out of maps, you stupid voice! … sorry." Katie apologized. That was rude, she didn't mean it. She grabbed the ball, she tossed it into the air. It felt slightly heavier and she could feel it inside. Maybe it was a toy instead. She grabbed the ball and twisted it, it was stuck on hard, like it was glued shut. "Come on." she groaned, turning the ball before it opened up. The prize floated in the air for a minute before falling onto the ground. It was… a hunk of plastic on a wristband? It was white and shiny, like it had just been taken out of the casing. There looked to be an arrow fixed inside and a button on the side, there were hints of gold around some parts of the plastic. "What… is this?" Katie asked, holding it in her hands. She put it on her wrist. "I don't think it's that stylish." Katie said, a drop of sweat rolling down her head. She turned around and started walking away.
Springdale, 1960's:
"Ha! Making fun of us for having winter clothing, but look who's freezing to death now!?" Bruno said, pointing at Nate and Hailey. "You're not funny." Nate growled. "Where are we?" Hailey asked. "More importantly, when are we?" Cole said, looking around all serious like. Hailey stopped shivering and looked at Cole with hearts in her eyes. "He's going to be mine." Hailey whispered. "I can see where this is going, Hailey Anne." Usapyon said. "Look!" Cole pointed, right to the sign on the bridge. "Now leaving Springdale, est 1776." Cole read aloud. "Springdale… wait. I know when we are!" Nate said, running to confirm his theory. He ran towards the town square, with everyone following him. "Hey! Stop running! Some of this area is slippery!" Summer said, sliding on her feet. He stopped right at the square and looked at the TV stand. "Stay tuned within the hour for the next showing of… MOXIMUS MASK!" the TV said. Nate gasped and he looked at his companions, all having smiles on their faces. "I know when we are… and I know someone who can help us."
After a train ride to a completely different town and the fact that it somehow got colder, they had arrived. A little shack in the woods, "I can hear voices coming from inside." Isabelle said, ducking behind a tree. "That's normal. Hope they are staying warm in there." Whisper said, patting Isabelle on the head. "They'll be more than happy to see us." Nate said, rushing over with Jibanyan and Whisper. He opened the door. "GRANDPA!" Nate screamed in delight!
SMACK!
Nate fell down on the snow, his eyes turning to swirls as he had a massive bruise in the middle of his head. "Wha-GRANDSON!?" Nathaniel said, stepping out of the tree house. "Grandson?" a girl stepped out of the house. "Grandson?" another boy stepped out of the house, all of them looked down on the boy in the snow. "This is not how I imagined a greeting from you guys to be." Whisper said, floating forward. "Whisper?" Nathaniel said. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance once again Master Nathaniel." Whisper smiled and bowed. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Nate stood up and screamed. "Sorry." Nathaniel burst out laughing before saying "I got scared." he was still laughing. "It's good to see you Nate." Nathaniel said, before blinking. "But I… I thought I sent you back to the future." he said. "You did, but I'm back. I'm back from the Future." Nate said, putting his shoulders on him. "Oh… do I need to send you back?" Nathaniel asked. "Well… kind of." Nate said, turning to the others. "Come out, he won't bite." Nate screamed. "Summer will." Cole called out as the girl came running out. "MY GREAT GRANDFATHER!" she screamed. Nathaniel blinked. "Great…" he muttered for a second, before screaming.
"WHAT?!"
Summer grabbed him and hugged him. "I never got to meet you nor Grandma, and now I get to finally meet you face to face. Oh my god, someone pinch me." Summer said. She waited a second before saying "Tate I swear to god." she pointed to the air. "He's… not there." Whisper said. Summer blinked, frowning. Turning around. "Tate?" she asked. "Who is… Great Grandfather… did you really name your son Tate?" Nathaniel asked. "Why does everyone keep making fun of that? It's a great name!" Nate exclaimed. "Nevermind that." Summer said, a worried look in her eyes.
"Where's my brother?!"
Springdale, 2015:
Katie realized that there was more to this hunk of plastic than meets the eye.
First of all, there was a flashlight, a purple light emitted out of the front of the watch when the button on the side is pressed. Second of all, it looked like a slot where you could insert a key into it. So, there was something to this weird thing, but Katie didn't know what it was. She took a picture of it on her phone and sent it to her group chat. Everyone was talking about it, looking at how weird it is and how she should just throw it away, and Katie wanted to do that, but there was something about this watch. It was like a mental calling, it was calling her name. She messed with the ponytail swaying in the back of her head. Playing with her hair helped her think in this scenario, not sure why. "What am I thinking, this thing is useless, the flashlight is hard to use somehow." Katie whispered to herself. She messed around with the light, she continued to shine the light around. She had to use her whole body to turn the light in multiple directions as well as moving her arm around to move it. It was almost impractical. "Eddie is right, I really should just… throw this… away." Katie stopped dead in her tracks.
"Meow meow itty bitty kitty." there was a cat, a cat on its hind legs. It had a guitar and a guitar pick and it was singing a song. It was right under a tree. Katie's eyes widened and her pupils shrieked. People were walking past it like it was a ghost. It was singing a song that sounded like it came from a different region. The cat seemed to slowly sing before looking up at her. "Hello meow!" it said, waving with a smile. When it did that, Katie screamed the loudest she had ever screamed and fell down on the ground. "Mighty fine scream their missy. You practice often?" the cat asked, walking up to her. "You, you stay back!" Katie said, backing up. "Easy miss, I ain't gonna hurt ya! You… OH MEOW GOD!" Katie took a step back, it believed in god? "IS THAT THE BRAND NEW YO-KAI WATCH THAT EVERYONE WAS TRYING TO GET!" Tomnyan said, the girl felt a bit familiar to him, but all of that didn't matter. She had the new watch! "What-now watch?!" This was a watch? It didn't even tell time, and what the hell was a Yo-kai! "Oh boy howdy, where are my manners. The names." The cat stopped and did a flip. "TOMNYAN!" it said.
Tomnyan: Charming Tribe.
"Nice to meowt you!" the cat said. Katie blinked in horror, she had just gotten herself into some serious trouble.
A/N: So... Holy Horror Mansion amiright? If I'm being honest, I've kinda left this sitting for way too long. Not because I hated it but because I had a hyperfixiation and wanted to hyperfixiate on the beloved mascot horror franchise Fnaf. And when I finally had enough, I wanted to get back into Yo-kai Watch, and Holy Horror Mansion came my way. It was basically what I was expecting from it... except the fact that it does have AI generated backgrounds. Now, if they stay or not doesn't matter to me, the fact that you couldn't just get some artists to do the backgrounds for it is just, wow. But this is Level 5 we are talking about, they can make a really interesting story that is Yo-kai Watch 4... and then make the game surrounding it pretty much good at best and pretty bad at worst. Also uh, if you look at my description, while I was away, I did some identity searching. Now if I can just remember the stupid password to this account I could probably change it to reflect my new name, Jessica, but sadly, I'm gonna have my deadname on this site forever. It's a little funny but a little saddening. Anyway, there will be another chapter uploaded after this one. I might be back to this site after so long just to finish this up, or I might just disappear again for the next 2,000 years. I don't know, it depends on what Freddy Fazbear does with my heart. SPEAKING OF WHICH, have you guys ever heard of the game Into The Pit on Steam and consoles right now that is only 20 bucks and is the newest entry in the Five Nights At Freddy's series? You should all go play that now!
