Danny Fenton: Season of Growth

(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I hope that all of you are doing well! I profusely apologize for the long wait here concerning my story series here.
Before I say or do anything else, I want to give honor and glory to the Lord. Thank you God for helping me, not just with my writings but also with my personal life as well. Things are still hectic and crazy in the world today, but you keep me stable and steady despite the storm swirling around me and family. Thank you Jesus for helping me in all things, and I make it my life-long promise to do my best for you! To improve myself to be closer, better and stronger with you! To be a more suitable servant to you Jesus Christ!
I continue to ask you God to look after me, my family, my friends and those around the planet that need you. Lord, thank you for everything and please guide us through the world. To make us stronger in resisting and enduring the craziness out there!
There is also one thing I would like to make clear. The latest chapter I made in my Disney/Toho special, the one called House of Mouse Special- Godzilla 1985, that was all thanks to the Lord! Without His guidance and help, I never would have been able to make such a long, detailed and complex chapter. So if any of you read it, give props and credit to Jesus Christ and His Father please!
And now concerning this chapter, I will confess that I had to go back and re-read the other chapters to see how to get back in the flow of it. I really want to get this story off the ground and running, but at a real good pace so that Danny and the others will flow in rightly and naturally. Same with the story and plot itself, as I still wish to focus on story/plot development as well as character development for all.
I really want this story series to surpass other Danny Phantom stories on many levels, and to blow Butch Hartman's theories out of the water big time!
I want to take the time to thank the ones who have helped me immensely with the story; Authors Dreams Come True 996, AdventureKing2017, Data Seeker, Kearitona Sjachraelgil, NightOwl18 & ReximusProductionsYT! Their reviews, as well as ideas and suggestions, have helped me to get a feeling for the characters and story!
And also to Guest, I thank you for your suggestions & will see what I can do. However, I do not think that Zauriel will make an apperance. I didn't know he even existed, as I am not a big fan of DC or Marvel. Well, the modern ones at least. I do like the cartoons they made back in the 1990s and early 2000s. The comics… not so much.
I wish to do this for my Tia Pamela Espurova-Allen, and will keep doing it until some solid news comes in. She is working with police and other official groups to locate and bring home a missing girl that is part of a family she works with & has befriended.
Her name is Lina Khil, a little girl that was taken on December 20th, 2021. The search is still on for her, but so far… no luck. A lead was discovered some time ago, but still no word yet on situation. Please continue to pray for them, and also to be on the lookout for her.
Her information is this: She was four years old when she was abducted; hair brown, eyes brown, race Afghan, weight 55 lbs. & height 4'0. If any can help to locate and find her, please do so and notify the proper authorities. Hoping and praying still that she is found alive & returned to her family. They have put up a special about her on TV thanks to the San Antonio Police Department. Any information you wish to seek about her you can search for online, and hopefully it will help to find her and bring her back home safely.
In the words of Winston Churchill- You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life. I will not kowtow or submit myself to others who feel offended at such in what I believe in, and make a big fuss or drama over it that causes unnecessary/unwanted trouble because of them being oversensitive and such.
A new Guest reviewer named Victor Hugo stated in a previous chapter that the quote is false. Well… I do not believe so. I looked it up, and it showcases that Fact-Checkers say that it's false. Considering that it's these so-called Checkers that stated this, makes me believe more that Winston's quote is real. So real or not, going to keep posting it up.
And here is a quote from my Christian hero and role model- Carmelo Domenic Licciardello! He said this: We are called to be effective, not popular. And this I agree with very much.
We cannot please everyone, nor do we ever wish to do so. I believe in the words of my pastor Rick Godwin from Summit Christian Center at San Antonio and it is this: If you try to please everyone, you lose yourself entirely. You lose your identity, your purpose, your direction & your connection with Jesus Christ. So while others may not be pleased at this, it is what it is. My aim is not to please all, but to write a worthwhile story that follows God's Truth. No more, no less.
There will be NO kind of characters or reference to slash or femme-slash of any kind. There will also be NO trans, gender-free, binary/non-binary, gender-neutral characters or notions in this special series, nor in any of my other stories. These new remakes/reboots of that are up now… no way! This is my stance, and I am sticking to it with conviction!

When Danny and the ladies arrive, it is at the very early stages of the Piccolo Jr. Saga, at the exact moment when Shen Long was revived and granted the wish of bringing those that were killed by Demon King Piccolo and his minions back to life. And with a three-year gap before the next tournament, it would give Danny and his date's ample time to explore the new reality/world they are in & to collect the Dragon Balls.
Danny Phantom is a cartoon series that was created by Butch Hartman, developed by Steve Marmel. The series aired on April 2004, the network that released it was Nickelodeon. The production companies were Billionford Inc. and Nickelodeon Animation Studios, with the distributors being Viacom International Inc. and Nelvana. Look for my Danny Phantom series and specials when getting the chance, if you please. This takes place after the episode De-Stabilized, but before Phantom Planet. And also, said last episode will NOT be featured here.
DragonBall is a manga/anime series that was written by Akira Toriyama, published by Shueisha Inc. with North America published by Viz Media. The manga was created in December 1984, ending in June 1995 with forty-two volumes. The anime was directed by Minoru Okazaki & Daisuke Nisho, produced by Tokizō Tsuchiya/Kenji Shimizu/Jun'ichi Ishikawa. Studio was Toei Animation, licensed by Funimation Entertainment for North America. Original network that broadcasted it was Fuji TV, with multiple English networks such as Cartoon Network Toonami and Funimation Channel. It ran from February 1986 to April 1989.
If you wish, use your imagination and put in any kind of song/music intro from any anime series with the Intro and Outro here. And also, so no one is confused, this is DragonBall & not DragonBall Z. And also, not going to follow the Dragonball Super anime or manga series in any way. And not going to follow the current, too-many reboot/remake arcs to name that have been cropping up recently.

Solid Facts and Training Tips
Danny Fenton looked a little nervous as Fortuneteller Baba was grinning at him, looking eager to start the medical check-up. Ginger realized something and exclaimed, "Hey! Wait! Hold on a moment!".
All eyes turned to her, the young Foutley girl blushing a bit as she was now in the spotlight. But she gathered her courage as she looked to Baba and asked, "Don't you think that taking a medical exam in the living room is a bit unusual? How about doing it somewhere where Danny can have some privacy, and also that one of us is with him so that nothing funny happens to him?".
The pink-haired sorceress had to give credit to the young redheaded teen, she was quite bold in making her suggestion told like so. Danny looked to her in relief and gratitude for said suggestion, which had young Ginger smile and blush bashfully from being looked at like so.
Baba chuckled lightly and replied with a hint of amusement in her tone, "You have a point there missy. Okay then, who here has some knowledge concerning the supernatural?".
It was Diana that answered first, "I have some knowledge on the supernatural, though not much about ghosts or spirits.". It was true; she and her companions Martin & Java had more experience with live, flesh and blood beings like aliens, monsters, etc.
Sabrina spoke up, "I live with the supernatural all the time since I am a witch, or half-witch at least. I can be of help.".
Phanty asked, "Since I am a full ghost, how about I come to help? And Spectra too!". Baba looked at her up and down, then nodded her head & answered that she could help if only she would obey their commands. Phanty cackled in her usual manner and gave them a salute, many wincing/flinching at the sound coming from the ghostly entity. Spectra looked a bit nervous, but she nodded her head as she would comply and do what she could to help.
And finally Yumi stated firmly, "I have knowledge that can be useful concerning Danny, and I wish to make sure that you do not try any kind of unusual business with the young man.". The sorceress was well-aware of Baba through her reputation of as a businesswoman when it comes to hiring the supernatural for her fighting area. So she would make sure that Danny was somehow not wrangled in to any of her business schemes.
The older sister of Master Roshi raised an eyebrow at the sorceress, then smirked and replied, "Of course Yume-sensei. And to Diana, I know that you have just awakened magic in you that is for the healing art. It's very much new to you, so I believe this is a good time to test it out. Come, all of your follow me.". She and her pink ghostly assistant Emiko floated down to a hallway on the right side, the equipment that Emiko pulled out earlier floating behind them. The pink supernatural being was using her power of levitation to do the job, limited in certain aspects but excellent for certain situations like so.
Danny and the five ladies looked at one another, than at Master Roshi. The aged Turtle Hermit knew what was going through their minds and spoke in an assured tone, "Don't worry about this. Baba is many things, but she won't do anything to harm any of you. For her, that would be bad for business.". It was true for the martial artist, as Baba would rather see & organize fights rather than get her own hands dirty. She did have some self-defense magic abilities and tricks to get her out of tight spots if need be.
The six took his word for it, Danny leading them as they all followed the witch.
They soon walked halfway down the hallway until they came to an open door, peering in to see that Baba & Emiko had already set up everything in the room. A large couch was covered with a white thin medical sheet, the kind found on small beds in regular medical clinics. A small elevated tray table was set up near it, and on it were the various basic tools that most certified doctors used such as reflex hammer, stethoscope, glucometer, otoscope, blood pressure indicator, thermometer, and finally a couple of syringes that had long, thin hypodermic needled attached to it. Nearby was an x-ray machine, which made the group wonder how it even was able to fit into Emiko's medical bag even if it was collapsible. And a printer machine to boot, which made them wonder just HOW Emiko was able to fit all of that in a small bag.
Danny had a nervous look on his face, which made Baba cackle a little and asking in a teasing tone, "Awww, what's the matter young man? Afraid of a little check-up?".
He gave her a light frown and glare before answering, "A little, yes. And it involves certain enemies of mine that had me be wary of doctors and check-ups.". Indeed, the fiasco with some ghostly parasite bugs that got Penelope Spectra involved in sending most of the students in Casper High School having powers. Combine that with his arch-nemesis Vlad Masters a.k.a. Vlad Plasmius extracting some of his blood to make various clones, one that resulted in the creation of Danielle, Danny was more than justified in being wary of anything that involved medical implements.
Yume had a concerned look on her face, was in thought for a moment or two, then a smile graced her lips as an idea formed in her head. She concentrated a bit of her magic, Danny feeling the subtle but strong tingle on his being thanks to his senses for the supernatural that was developing more now. Her left hand glowed a bright brown aura color before it flashed, and in it was a white cup with pink flower floral designs on the outer rim. In the cup was a brown liquid with some mint leaves floating in it.
She handed it to Danny, who took the cup as he was mildly impressed by the light showcasing of magic. Yume smiled warmly and explained, "Here you go. Some hot herbal tea with half a teaspoon of brown sugar in it. I would have used honey, but the hot tea would have neutralized the good properties of it. This will help you with the nervousness.".
The halfa hero looked at the concoction, sniffing it a little and finding it pleasant. He took a small sip… then his eyes widened as it did indeed tasted good, taking a longer sip from it. Yume looked very much pleased, the others looking on in mild fascination. As Danny drank, the sorceress used her magic again. Her right hand glowed a light blue color, flashing lightly and vanishing as a CD appeared in it. She looked around the room, and was glad to see a radio set nearby that had cassette & CD player capabilities. She went to it, found out that it still worked, put in the CD and pressed play.
The speakers soon played some new age music; soft, soothing music that was often used in meditation & for relaxation. The others were a bit entranced by the sounds coming from the speakers, then the ladies looked to Danny to see that he looked quite relaxed now. Diana looked to Yume with a pleased smile and said, "Hey, nice going there Yume! You knew just what to do!".
Tenshi-sensei smiled back and replied, "Thank you. I often help students and fellow teachers when they are nervous, and I found that this helps them to relax.".
Spectra commented with her eyes closed and moving to the music, "This is quite the soothing music you chose Yume. Maybe you can put it in with your schedule for the others here.". This had the sorceress smile as her suggestion was already part of the curriculum that she had prepared for her soon-to-be students.
Spectra and Diana now led a more relaxed Danny Fenton to the couch, Emiko giving the ladies medical gloves to put on. Masks were optional as they were set on the side on the tray, just in case.
An hour later, the time now being 3:00 p.m., the door opened and the group emerged from the makeshift room. If one could see inside, the room was put right back to normal with everything back in place. Danny and the others walked back to the living room, where the others were waiting for them. Said resident of Amity Park was a bit red in the face, as was the four young ladies though they looked to be more prominent. Even Phantasma's face had a darker shade of blue on her face, and a certain sparkle in her eyes.
Yume, Baba and Emiko had looks of amusement on their faces, which made the larger group have a feeling on what occurred. In Diana's arms was a stack of papers that seemed to be stapled together.
Master Roshi cleared his throat and asked, "So Baba, what's the info concerning Danny?".
The older sister of Roshi answered, "Well, it seems that you assumed correctly little brother. Danny is indeed not half-ghost, but half-spirit!".
She looked to the large group and continued on, "The testing we did on him has shown that he still has a circulatory system like that of a mortal man in his other form. And while his blood does change into ectoplasm like what Emiko is made here, it is different on account it is richer & concentrated.".
Said pink ghost pulled from her bag a rolled up parchment, then unfurled it to show to all a diagram of Danny's inner workings! The outline body was black, and inside of it were a multitude of green lines that ran in many directions within it. And where the heart should be was a 3-dimensional blue object, and to those well-versed in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with Knuckles video game, they would swear they were seeing a small version of the blue Super Emerald.
Emiko decided to be the speaker as she stated loud and clear, "His ectoplasm is different from mine as Mistress Baba stated, not just in essence but in shape. I'm completely made of the stuff, but with no core. His is thicker and stronger than most, as even Miss Sabrina had stated that his is more focused and potent than the ghosts and spirits she has seen back in her universe.".
Sabrina looked to all and remarked, "It's true. When he changes into his Phantom-form, it has a more solid and dense build to it. None of the other ghosts I have seen from the Nether Realm has that.".
Baba's ghostly assistant pointed to the blue object and stated, "This one is his Ice Core, his heart to be precise. It does change back into a heart when he turns into his mortal form, but that is not the only thing that it does. Lombard-san, I believe you should explain this.".
Diana nodded, putting the stack of papers on a coffee table nearby, then going to the chart. Like a teacher lecturing to her students, she pointed to the object and began in a professional tone, "We found that his Core is solid, but also a bit more malleable. Like clay that one can still mold, but tougher. It also pulses like that of a heart. We believe that it also evolves, that it changes and grows just like a living being does.".
Yume than put in, "Even though his blood and heart changes, we found that he still has the same nervous system, parts and functions that a living mortal has. This includes pressure points and other places that are found on a human body.".
Emiko than flipped another page down to show another picture graph, which has his mortal side on the left while his spirit side was on the right, both separated by a red line. It showed that his circulatory and nervous system were indeed identical. This certainly did intrigue the group, all listening with rapt attention.
Baba spoke up, "We also discovered that he can lower his pulse, but not completely shut it off. Doing that would gradually turn him officially into a ghost. And he can survive in a vacuum such like the one in outer space, but only for a few minutes' tops. As for the underwater aspect, we need to test it out at a more convenient time.".
Sabrina put forth, "Overall, according to our tests at least, Danny is still among the living in all things. He may have the abilities and certain properties of a ghost, but that fact that he is alive still makes it so that he is half-Spirit, like Master Roshi suggested.".
The older sister of the Turtle Hermit stated firmly, "And that is why I have decided to make Diana & Sabrina here Danny's personal physicians. So anything related to him medically is to be given & handled by them.".
Phantasma had pouted, as she had wanted to be Danny's personal physician as well. But she lacked the skills to be a qualified doctor or nurse… and also they believed that due to her flighty personality, she would most likely mishandle the information or lose it.
Gwen Honorine looked to be in thought for a moment, then spoke up, "It makes sense for Sabrina to be that since she is a witch like she told us, but why Diana? I mean, she said it herself that she rarely had any time around spirits or ghosts.".
The fortuneteller answered, "It is because she has healing capabilities, and needs to get a good start on what it means to be a healer. I believe she and Danny will help one another like that; her learning more about spirits like him, and also in healing when he gets banged up. And believe me kids, you will need it when my brother starts training you.". The last part she had a wicked smirk on her face, fully aware that his teaching methods were not only unorthodox but also brutal if one did not have the stamina and endurance for it.
This made the visitors from another universe/reality gulp at her words.
Danny then had a thought in his head, apparently realizing something as he looked to Baba and inquired, "But Baba, I am a fast healer thanks to my gh- I mean, spirit power. So any cuts and bruises will heal up quick.".
This not only got a frown from the witch, but also from Yume as well. It was the sorceress teacher that answered him, "You should not confuse fast healing of cuts and bruises for effective healing Daniel.". The way she spoke was like a firm teacher, with conviction and a subtle kind of strength that got his and the others attention. In fact, Danny felt like he was addressing someone that was more competent than Lancer or the other teachers back at Casper High.
She continued, "Healing external injuries is one thing, but what about things from the inside? Such as broken bones, internal bleeding, allergies, afflictions or diseases? Your Spirit abilities may have enhanced your physiology including healing, but has it ever been exposed to any sort of serious afflictions?".
Danny wanted to retort, but soon started to really think on her words. This was showing he was improving, as he would have loudly blurted out that he was always fine… but now he was using his brain more, to stop and actually think on things instead of doing an automatic reflexive defensive action like his old self often did.
He thought, 'I know of Ecto-Acne, and what it does to humans. But not if a ghost or spirit gets one… and honestly I don't know if my healing also works on internal stuff like she says.'. Danny was soon realizing that Yume was right; that he should not confuse external injuries with internal ones, and that he is unsure on how his body would fight against afflictions or diseases that start from the inside.
Baba saw him thinking now seriously on the matter, causing the diviner to smile slightly. She thought, 'It seems this boy is actually using his head here. Quite rare in this day and age to see anyone actually think on serious situations like this, more so when it's a young man.'.
Said woman spoke up in a tone like Tenshi-sensei, "Yume here is right, child. You don't know if your healing would work or not on any kind of internal problems, so thus physicians. In addition, the blood and ectoplasm we extracted from you will be taken to real supernatural experts to diver deeper into them. They'll send all of the results to Diana and Sabrina so they can inform you about them.".
The pink-haired business woman looked to said ladies and inquired, "And when you update the forms concerning his health and well-being on anything, it will be automatically updated in the copies I have.".
Emiko looked to Danny and asked in a curious tone, "By the way Fenton-san, you said you were wary of doctors and check-ups due to some enemies of yours. What exactly happened?".
The young man sighed and answered, "Well… the first one that got me wary of check-ups was a unique kind of ghost named Penelope Spectra. Her real form is a shadow-like being, but she can take a human disguise. She keeps that form young, and herself powerful, by feeding on the misery of others. I foiled her plans the first time around, with big time help from my sister Jazz.".
This got the group intrigued, especially Baba and those that had seen many supernatural entities that did utilize some stealing techniques to power themselves up. But this was the first they heard of a shadow being. Spectra spoke up, "I heard of her. She is unique even in the Netherworld and supernatural community! And I hate it that her last name is the same as mine!".
Danny acknowledged her with a nod, then continued his explanation, "The second time around is when some ghost bugs came into the city. I was fighting a large one, but it got zapped and turned into very tiny ones that got away. Much of them went into my school, burrowing into the students and giving them powers like I had. And Penelope, along with her assistant known as Bertrand, had them moved to a bogus hospital where she planned to use them & me to give herself a new body. And if she succeeded, it would have killed the students and myself.".
This certainly did surprise the group, Yamcha inquiring, "So the bugs didn't possess the students, like what you did with Master Roshi earlier?". Danny nodded his head, saying that he did try to possess one of the students but not much came from it. He could feel something different inside of the young man, but not much else.
The bugs were more or less like parasites, latching themselves within the mortal host & thus giving said host abilities of the deceased. But in exchange, their life energy would be utilized… and if not removed quickly, the result would be the living joining the deceased on a more permanent basis!
The young Fenton lad continued, "The other incident involves my archenemy Vlad Masters. He had taken some of my blood and ectoplasm to create clones of me… to try and make a son for himself.". Now this got a round of soft gasps from the group, as this was something that was quite serious to them.
Krillin then inquired, "Wait! Was it that thing that made this Vlad guy your archenemy?".
Danny replied with an edge in his tone, "Nope. Vlad was already a halfa like me, thanks to an accident that happened to him in his college years, and calling himself Plasmius when in his other form. He used his power to make himself a billionaire over the years, and also has been eyeing my mother Maddie whom he loved. But she and Dad were already an item, and he still lusted after her now as he did back then. And when he discovered that I was a halfa as well, he's been doing various schemes to try and make me more like him. And in the process try to off Dad in order to have my Mom. His cloning scheme was just a recent one out of many from him.".
Danny decided to omit Danielle from the story, as he was still not ready to trust that particular bit of info to the others. Perhaps one day, with time and enough trust, he would tell them. But not now.
The ones from the other universe had already heard his explanation from Danny earlier, but hearing it again made them believe that Vlad needed to be either sealed in a mental asylum. Yamcha was the one to speak up, "Man, I have heard a lot of stories of people going crazy like that. But this Vlad character is now in my top ten list of people that need to be locked up for good.".
The Fenton lad agreed with him on that, saying that he was getting no argument from him in that area.
Baba spoke up in a reassuring tone, "Well, I assure you child that your blood and ectoplasm will NOT be used or abused like so! If there is one thing that the doctors and scientists in Other World are, it's that they take their duties and oaths to safeguard anything from their patients seriously. Combine that with a direct order from King Yemma himself to take care of anything that involves Danny and the ladies here, only a truly suicidal fool would try to defy that order.".
The fortuneteller then looked to Master Roshi and said in a slightly soft tone, "I wish you good luck with your new pupil's brother. Also… glad to have you back among the living.".
The old martial arts master was certainly surprised by this. It was one thing to hear it over the phone, but another to hear it directly from the person in the flesh and blood. He rubbed the back of his head and replied, "Wow! I mean… thanks Baba. Certainly surprising, but in a good way to hear you say that.".
Baba had a small smile on… then turned to a smirk as she went in for a retorting sting, "You're welcome. And besides, I think I saved the souls of many women back Other World. Who knows what you would have done if you stayed there for all eternity?".
This has had Roshi do a face-vault into the ground, the group chuckling as Baba may have had a point there. Master Roshi rose back to his feet, his face red from both the impact of it to the floor & also the blush he sported from his sister's embarrassing sting. He exclaimed, "You just had to say that, didn't you, you old biddy you!".
The pink-haired fortuneteller merely smiled wide with teeth showing, laughing at her brother. She answered with mirth in her tone, "You got it! Hahahahaha!".
She then snapped her fingers and exclaimed, "Oh! That reminds me. You'll be getting a new visitor soon. In fact, looking at the time now… I would say he is already here. Tien, would you be a good boy and pick him up? He's at the slightly smaller lake that is west from here.".
Tien was a bit perplexed, but nodded his head. He said, "Yes ma'am". He then walked out the door, using his Levitation technique to float up, then fly off in the direction where Baba had told him.
While they waited, Cleo decided that now was the time to ask Baba something that had been on her mind after hearing about her from Master Roshi. He went to her and Emiko, the fortuneteller's gaze turning to her. The human/mermaid hybrid gathered her courage and asked, "Miss Baba, I was wondering if you could answer something for me please.".
Baba smiled slightly and replied, "Well, good to see that some people here have some manners… unlike some I know.". Her gaze turned to Bulma, who soon gained an annoyed look and turned away with a huff. She then looked back to Cleo and asked on what her question was.
Miss Sertori asked in a curious tone, "Can anyone magical go to Other World like you? Or are there certain rules or levels you need to be at to do so?".
The fortuneteller's smile grew a bit wider as she stated with glee in her tone, "Ah, now that is a question that I was hoping someone would ask me sooner or later! I was wondering when it was going to be asked!". It seemed that people who knew her had never bothered to ask her if there were requirements to doing what she did, which was travel between the mortal and supernatural realms without being dead and all.
She cleared her throat and answered, "First off, any being can go to the supernatural realms that are located here on Earth. Even those with no magic within them can go to these realms, though it's not recommended for certain areas. Some like to advertise their lands to attract tourists and such, though some tend to keep hidden as they love secrecy and keeping the mystery about them. But if you earn the trust of some of those beings, you can gain permission to enter their world.".
This certainly was news for them, especially for certain magicals like Sabrina, Cleo, Makoto, and more. The kind of magical community they were part of was told to keep magic & their identities a secret from many, but it seems that yet again, this world and universe ran on different rules/principles.
Baba continued, "As for the realms in Other World, one needs to see King Yemma for that. The entrances to his domain are at my Palace, and also at Kami's Lookout. And you really need to convince him to let you travel throughout his realm without kicking the bucket. Once you do manage to convince him, he'll give you a license that will allow you to explore certain areas.".
The old woman remembered on how she and Yemma had met so long ago; she had gone to his domain to make a business deal with the massive ruler of the dead, and it took much negotiating on her part to convince him to allow some of the warriors from his realm to partake in her battles at her Palace. After the contract was made and signed by both parties, a dimensional door was created to allow travel for her and others between the living world and Other World.
She reached into her right sleeve and pulled out a card that was similar to the ID cards Danny and the others have. It was of a platinum color, and it had her picture that was on the entire right side, and on the left half was her name, address and rank that read in bold words FORTUNETELLER WITCH. Below it were the words: Fighting and money is all that counts.
Daria then inquired, "Your card… does the color mean anything?".
The 500-plus year old woman looked to her and answered, "Indeed it does, young lady. King Yemma gives the ones that manage to convince him to let them travel through the domains that are under his rule a basic ID card that is of bronze color. You can upgrade it in two ways; one way is to pay for the upgrade, but it costs about fifty million gold coins to do so. And the other is to accomplish certain tasks by certain parties that are already high up in the social rankings there.".
Now this really surprised the group, as it sounded like something from an RPG game.
Baba pressed on, "The color ranks are this- bronze, silver, gold and the highest one is platinum. The higher the rank, the more access you'll get to explore other supernatural areas.".
She said this part in a serious tone, "But for specific areas, you will need King Yemma's direct permission to go. You try and go to these areas without his say so, no matter the rank you have, you will be fined and be downgraded a rank. I hope to make this very clear here.".
Hearing her say that in such a tone had many of the listeners gulp. Even Inukami, even after all of the hardships that she had to endure, had a cold sweat forming on her brow.
The door soon knocked, the tense moment soon lifting and Baba using her telekinesis to open it. On the other side of it was Tien… and in his arms was a large brown sea turtle with a pale yellow underbelly, one that was quite familiar to the Z-Fighters and Roshi! It was Turtle, good friend of Master Roshi & in some cases conscience!
Tien spoke up, "Fortuneteller Baba, is this the one you were talking about?". He set the creature down in the living room floor, where he tanked Tien before crawling towards the group.
Baba nodded her head and replied, "Yes indeed. Thank you for bringing him back dear boy.". Tien nodded and came back into the room, the door closing behind him.
Turtle looked to Master Roshi and stated, "Ah, there you are Master Roshi! I finally found you!".
Said mentioned martial arts master exclaimed in surprise, "Turtle?! How the heck did you find me?! And why did you leave the house?!".
The old amphibious turtle answered, "You were gone awhile, and I was getting worried. So I went out to find you. I had to swim through some underground rivers, and I managed to come here. Also, I brought the house with me.". He turned to his left, using his beak-like mouth to pull out a large pink capsule that was inside his shell at the upper neck area.
Debbie asked the question that was on her and those that belonged to another universe, "Ummm… Master Roshi, is this turtle your pet?". She and the others had already encountered talking anthros that still surprised them, but it was a bit different with a complete animal that spoke.
Master Roshi looked to her and answered, "Nope, he's no pet. He's a good friend of mine. Everyone, I like to introduce you to Turtle.".
The brown sea turtle looked to all and bowed his head in greeting, saying that it was a pleasure to meet them. Danny and the others returned the greeting, though for them it was a bit strange to do a formal greeting to a sea animal. Nebula went to Turtle to check him out, said shelled-being surprised to see a dragon. He had seen Shen Long, but seeing another dragon that was different from him was still surprising.
Nebula sniffed Turtle, then licked him on the side of the neck, causing him to laugh as it tickled. Danny smiled and said, "Nebula must really like you. For Master Roshi, she often conks him on the head.".
Turtle managed to gather himself after enduring Nebula's licking, looking at her with a smile and stated, "Glad she likes me! Good to see you Nebula.". Said dragon's eyes did a closed eye U-shape, nodding her head and chirping back to him.
Baba exclaimed, "Well, I better get going now. I have what I need, so need to get back home and deliver the papers to King Yemma! Farewell everyone! Oh, and a couple of words to our guests from another universe.".
She cast her gaze to the young ladies and stated, "All of you are going to endure some tough training and trials while you're here, but each of you will grow and develop. You will be on the road to reaching your full potential, and discovering that there is truly more to you than you thought possible. And I do mean this to ALL of you.".
The words did stun the various women there, and it showed on their faces. Those that were not part of Master Roshi or Yume Tenshi's lessons were more surprised than the others, wondering if they could truly grow and become something more…
The fortuneteller soon cast her gaze to Danny, Nebula standing to the right side of her adoptive father. Baba looked hard at the young man, who felt a bit uncomfortable under the gaze but did not show it as he stared back at her. She soon developed a small smile and proclaimed, "You young man have potential and promise just like that young lad with the monkey tail- Son Goku. I can sense that there is much more to you than even you know. You will truly be tested in many areas, and facing some intense situations that will shape you into becoming the man you were meant to be. Just remember that it is the choices that you make that will shape you, and the conviction to follow through on them that matters.".
Now this had Danny stunned, and it showed on his face that made the witch smirk a little and give out a small chuckle. But she was serious in her words to him and the thirty women that were from another universe; she did see the future concerning them, and they would be put to the test in various ways. Some mild, some serious. But it would facilitate growth that they needed, and to prepare them on what was to come.
She looked to Emiko and stated, "Come Emiko, we're leaving now.". The pink ghost did a little polite bow to the group before following her mistress out the door, where she and Baba entered in on the flying car that they used to arrive there. Apparently the ghost was also a driver, as she started the engine and took off into the sky.
Once she was gone, it was Vicky that voiced her opinion, "Man… that sister of yours Roshi is one weird lady. Heh, I guess it must run in the family.".
The bald master of fighter sighed and replied, "Oh trust me kiddo, you have no idea.". Indeed, Master Roshi's family was indeed odd… one can only imagine what his father and mother were like.
Inukami cleared her throat and stated firmly, "Okay now! We've waited long enough! Honorine-san, Pickles-san and Mackenzie-san! Time for us to go to work! Follow me to the Multi-Plex Building!". Said ladies were confused for a moment, then realized that they had an important task to do. The trio followed Dezato-san as the female anthro wolf led them back to the building that had what they needed.
When they were gone, Turtle looked to Master Roshi and inquired in a curious tone, "Master Roshi, what is going on here? I think I need to be caught up on current events, please.".
The goofy but experienced martial artist answered, "Well Turtle, it seems that our new friends here are from a completely different universe. A whole new reality from ours. And apparently, I have been tasked with teaching them the martial arts.".
This certainly stunned the sea-dwelling creature, then looked to all of them in wonder. Master Roshi seemed to catch on to his assumption, saying that only Danny and thirteen girls were his new students. This seemed to calm Turtle down, though his face still was surprised that his friend/master was taking on that many students at once.
Ginger, Katie and Starfire went over to pet Master Roshi's friend, who blushed and chuckled from the friendly caresses. Master Roshi had a jealous/angry look on his face, steamed that Turtle was getting attention like so from fine females while he was left out in the cold. Krillin and some of the others chuckled at seeing his expression.
Felicia went to Danny's side and asked, "Well then Danny, how does it feel to know you're half-Spirit and not ghost?".
He had a thoughtful look on his face, then looked to her and answered, "It does feel a bit different now. I mean… I always thought that I was half-dead. But now after thinking about it, it would mean to be like a zombie, vampire or something akin to that. But now… I feel somewhat… different but in a good way.".
Danny looked at her face, not down below where her… ahem, generous assets were at. Oh, he was tempted but he felt to show her respect by looking into her eyes. And that had earned him more respect from Miss Hardy. He continued, "I never received a real check-up before, so just assumed I was half-dead. But now after this, getting checked out by a real expert and…". He blushed at the last part, as some of the testing had him to strip down his shirt, which had him & the ladies blushing immensely. This caused Felicia to smirk, though inside she felt a little annoyed that she had missed a show.
He shook off the embarrassing memory and pressed on, "Anyways, I finally have some confirmation that I'm not dead or half anything! Just having my spirit, my inner self, come to the surface like so. And that feels different, but in a positive way.".
It was true; Danny felt like certain chains had been weighing down on him. He felt that he was bound to have one half in the grave, the other half among the living. And also there was the fear that he would become like Dark Dan. But now, in the present, he felt certain chains breaking free. Not all of them, but some of them that allowed the lad to feel more at peace and relieved.
He may have considered his parents experts when it comes to ghost in the past… but now even that was changing, wondering if they really knew what ghosts were. And even though they made weapons and devices that were to battle against them, it was more trial and error than anything else.
And as with Dark Dan, he had always been fearful that he would turn into him.
But now, thanks to Master Roshi, Fortuneteller Baba and also words from his new girl friends… he was free from that notion, and also feeling more ready for whatever may come!
Felicia smiled and replied with sincerity in her tone, "That's good to hear Danny. I really do hope that you continue to grow to becoming what Baba said you were meant to be.".
The young man looked back to her with a grateful smile of his own and remarked, "Thanks Felicia. I also hope that you grow as well. Baba said that all of you have something that you never thought possible, so I believe there is more to your abilities and capabilities then you thought.".
This did have the professional thief actually wonder if it was true. She thought to herself, 'Was that old witch right? Can I take my powers further? Can I… Can I take myself further?'. She always thought that she had hit a glass ceiling, that she could not advance further in her thieving skills and her bad luck mutant powers. So she never bothered to really see if she could…
But now after everything has happened, and to what she has witnessed so far… could she possibly take herself and her powers to the next level?
Master Roshi tapped his cane and exclaimed, "Okay everyone! I think it's time we kept ourselves busy until dinnertime! Let's clean up the mess me and Danny made during our duel. After that, do whatever it is you all need to do until then. Now come on, let's get going!".
The group nodded their heads, following the ancient master outside so they could clean up the battlefield. However, Diana had to go and put up the papers she was given by Baba up in her room. Once that was done, she would join them outside to help.
Turtle followed as best he could, but was slow. Jenny hoisted him up, surprising the aquatic creature that she was that strong to lift him up with no effort. He thanked her, the robot girl with a soul smiling and saying that it was no trouble.
When they followed the crowd, Wakeman-san asked Roshi if it was possible to make a suitable-sized swimming pool for Turtle to use for now. Before Roshi could answer, it as Puar that did so as she exclaimed that during their exploration of the grounds, in one of the buildings were some large bathtubs. Apparently the General Red had ordered several large bathtubs that were more or less personal hot tubs that were to replace any that had broken down in the pool area.
The best female friend of Yamcha suggested that they take one of them out, install it near the main manor house and have it be Turtle's temporary living area until it was time for them to go back home. Roshi nodded his head, saying that it was a good idea. Puar and Oolong asked Kara and Gwen Tennyson to accompany them to find and install the bath tub. Puar told them that the one they had in mind was 74.75" L x 74.75" W, so it was quite large and most likely heavy to lift.
~Meanwhile~
While the main group outside were doing the cleanup, in the Multi-Plex Building on the 3rd floor that was the Material Room, Inukami was with Gwen H., Angelica and Emma. The four were looking at the area that apparently had everything they needed to make the necessary uniforms for Danny and the girls that would be training with Master Roshi.
After some moments, Dezato-san looked to her new comrades and stated firmly, "Okay now, let's get these calenders and rollers moving! Gwen, gather the fabric we need! Angelica, get the threads and other items we need! Emma, go and get the gemstones that we need to embed in the fabric!".
The trio nodded their heads, rushing off to get the materials they needed to make the new uniforms for Danny and the others. Emma went to a section of the area, finding the place that had various gemstones within them. Inukami would enchant them, making it so that each area of the uniform- front/back, arms and legs- could be adjusted to be weighted. The wearer would tap on the Turtle kanji symbol, and when it glowed the color of the gemstone that made the outfit, all the user would have to say is what weight they want the area to be in.
For example, the front could weight 50 lbs., the legs to be 20 lbs. and the arms to be 15 lbs. if the user wanted it so. Inukami stated that the limit for weights to be put on the uniform was about 5 tons total, so she would magically install a secondary layer spell over the gemstones that if it went over 500 lbs., a special anti-gravity spell would be used. The user would still move around and feel the weight, but the anti-gravity would be so that it would cushion each step or movement the person took as to not damage property.
The gemstones also had another significance than being the weight replacement for the shells. The notes that Emma took earlier would be utilized here.
After writing down the likes/dislikes and personalities of Danny and the girls who would partake in Master Roshi's training, Inukami added to her list the gemstones that she needed for each of them. Each gemstone had a unique quality and meaning that, according to her, aid them by bringing balance to what was needed for them.
Emma looked down at the list to see what gemstone she would need to retrieve. It had the names of who it would be used for, and their meanings:
Danny Fenton: Moonstone- Promotes clear thinking, inspiration and receptivity. Also fulfilling one's destiny
Kim Possible: Emerald- Lifts depression, relieves insomnia, promotes self-knowledge, peaceful dreams, encourages balance & patience
Makoto Kino: Smoky Quartz- Stone of endurance, fosters serenity, calmness and positive thoughts
Cree Lincoln: Kyanite- Helps quiet the mind, dissolves emotional or spiritual confusion, anger and frustration
Gwen Tennyson: Opal- Strongly associated with emotions, including love and passion. Promotes spontaneity, imagination, dreams and healing
Wendy Corduroy: Amethyst- Calms emotion s, encourages clarity of thought, assists in attaining wisdom. Brings calmness and clarity, attunes the wearer with intuition, feelings and values
April O'Neil: Peridot- Strengthens life, brings prosperity, growth and increases openness. Understands relationships, and alleviates depression, anger, fear, jealousy and anxiety
Kitty Pryde: Tiger's Eye- Helps convert anxiety and fear into practical logic and action. Promotes balance and strength in difficult times, relieves doubt
Katie Kaboom: Jasper- Associated with relaxation, contentment, compassion, nurturing and consolation. Relieves mental stress and achieve balance in life
Penny Proud: Chalcedony- Nurtures and promotes brotherhood/sisterhood and goodwill. Alleviates hostility, irritability and melancholy
Barbara Gordon: Citrine- Open the mind to new thoughts and balance impatience & restlessness. Promotes optimism
Alexandra Casoy: Fluorite- Balance and stabilize intuition, aiding learning and lateral thinking. Improves concentration
Violet Parr: Bloodstone- Helps lessen feelings of anger, hostility and impatience. Encourages courage, confidence and motivation
Starfire Etsuko: Diamond- Absorb and amplifies the thoughts of the user
Emma was impressed that Dezato had managed to come up with the gemstones that would help to bring balance to Danny and the others, and wondered if maybe she can teach her more. She soon heard the large cylinder rolls moving, and knew that she had to get back to focus. She found a cart nearby that had long tubular canisters, fourteen to be precise which was exactly what she needed! She brought the cart over, and like a dedicated shopper at a grocery store, filled up the canisters to the brim with the necessary gemstones. Once it was done, Emma hightailed it back to Inukami.
It was going to be a long night of work for the ladies, but they were determined to pull it off so that the others could have their uniforms ready for tomorrow.
~Later on~
It was about 7:30 p.m. when dinner was served. Launch, Gwen Ten & Barbara had helped to serve a suitable feast that was very appetizing to everyone. All of them had managed to fix the damage from Master Roshi and Danny's sparring, showing that teamwork and utilizing the right kind of magic to help speed things along. Almost everyone as at the table, as Inukami and her four helpers were still hard at work with the uniforms. Danny and Spectra had flown out to deliver them dinner and drinks, in which the four were very grateful for.
Nebula was eating right beside Turtle, who was munching on some food as well. He told Launch that he usually would eat fish and jellyfish, along with plants if need be. So the blue-haired beauty had asked Chiaotzu and Tien to get some fish from one of the lakes, in which they did so easily thanks to their telekinesis. And the fish they got was a Blue Giant Fish, which was a dark blue color. And as it seemed, the darker the color, the richer the flavor.
Thanking the two for catching it, she cut up the fish into suitable pieces and put it into a large bowl. She saved the rest of it in the freezer, making sure to cover it in a large plastic bag.
While everyone was eating, conversation was made all around the table. Danny looked to Master Roshi and inquired, "So, are we going to wake up at the same time that Krillin and Yamcha did?".
He nodded his head and answered, "Yup! We wake at 4:30 in the morning, and then you'll experience the Turtle School of Martial Arts training. So get rested and be prepared for tomorrow, and just to remind you the first time is the easiest. It'll only get tougher from there.". This made the young hero and the girls that were going to train with him gulp in nervousness. Gwen was going to be spared though, as tomorrow was going to be a Saturday & that meant her first classes were with Yume and the other magical students.
Krillin asked his master, "Roshi-sensei, what do you want me and the others to do?".
The martial arts master seemed to be in thought, stroking his beard in the process. He soon voiced his thoughts out loud, "Well, you boys can do whatever it is you want to do. If you wish to train, you'll have do so on your own. And if I remember right; Jenny-chan, Daria-chan, Debbie-chan, Felicia-chan and Bulma-chan are going to be working on Jewel Sapphire.".
He continued, "And Yume-chan is going to teach her students. So that leaves Inukami-chan, Puar, Oolong, Launch-chan, Emma-chan, Kara-chan, Jen-chan, Phantasma-chan, Vicky, Ginger-chan, Spectra-chan, Honorine-chan and Angelica-chan to do whatever it is they want to do.".
This had mentioned young ladies and beings who were at the table now contemplate on what they should do. They wanted to be productive and learn more, to find that special something they were good at. After hearing the words earlier from Baba, surely there had to be something they were good at & to work on it.
Launch then had an idea as she spoke up, "Say! Master Roshi, how about I make some lunches for you and the others for tomorrow?".
He answered her, "Thanks for the offer Launch, but I got it covered. Trust me, I know what I am doing.". She looked a bit disappointed, but soon smiled and nodded her head in acknowledgement before resuming eating.
Danny swallowed some of the food he was eating, and was deep in thought. In his head were these words, 'So the first of September is the start of our training. I will do my best… and I will do it as my real self!'.
In the past, he often used his Spirit-form and abilities to cheat a little in any physical activities. And he was starting to believe that it was his other self that made him better… but now, he was determined to reverse that statement! That it was now Phantom that made him, but rather Fenton- the original mortal- that made the other self!
However, he soon realized that kind of thinking solidified what Baba had told him about earlier during one of the tests:
~Flashback~
Baba was sitting on a chair instead of her crystal ball, which was hovering in front of Danny's face. She chanted as the ball held a soft blue glow, orbiting around his cranium like a moon would a planet. Danny was without a shirt on and sitting on the couch, blushing as were the girls who were seeing this. Emiko just giggled, the mischievous ghost that she was.
After a few minutes, the ball came to a halt in front of Danny and flashed a white color. Baba stated that the scan of his brain was complete, explaining earlier to all that her crystal ball worked more efficiently than a CAT Scanner. The ball then floated down to the witch, who peered into the object… then she soon frowned deeply, which caused the others to look concerned.
Spectra asked, "Baba, why are you frowning like that?".
The pink-haired elderly woman turned to her and answered in a crisp tone, "It seems that my scans has found something very unusual about Daniel here, and it is a bit serious.".
This caused the group to be perplexed and worried for the young man, said young man also wondering what was wrong. She hopped back on her crystal ball and floated to be in front of Danny. She asked in a firm tone, "Young man, has there been a time when you separated from yourself in any way?".
This prompted Mr. Fenton to tell her on the incident concerning his parent's device- the Fenton Ghost Catcher, and on how he was separated. That his human side and hero side were split in two. This did surprise the ladies as they had never heard this story from him. But Baba just slapped her forehead and mumbled something about irresponsible parents and reckless teenagers.
After he finished his story on how he was brought back as one, Baba glared at him and stated in a serious tone, "Young man, if your parents were here, I would slap them upside the head for making such a dangerous invention!".
She continued on with the same tone, "Normally child, any living being who has their spirit separated from it goes into a coma-like state. And depending on how strong the will and strength of the spirit, they'll soon fade and turn into a ghost! Which means their bodies would go into the Dead category, and they could never return to it! The mishap that made you into a half-Spirit worked in your favor to be alive while split, but it could also spell your demise.".
Danny had a very stunned look on his face as he exclaimed in shock, "Demise?! How?!".
Baba answered, "When you were put back together as one, it wasn't complete as you believed it to be. My scans show that your mind is still split, fractured. Like broken glass that is put together like a puzzle, but with no glue to make them stick. It isn't apparent now, but if something is not done… it will slowly but surely grow until your very being is fractured with two distinct personalities! It's like a case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but only real and serious! Your own mind will tear itself apart with two personalities, two souls being split like so. And unless you find something to make yourself truly whole and bind the parts together as one for good… I say in about three years' time, you'll be either stir lunatic crazy, or a vegetable.".
This certainly stunned everyone, more so for Danny as he was breathing hard and having a vacant look in his eyes. Baba did feel a bit sorry for having to do that, but to her, it was better to be blunt with truth rather than skit around it. She soon felt sympathy for the lad, going to him and making him look her in the eyes.
She said in a calmer tone, "Do not worry too much young man. You have three years' time to find the thing that will help you be truly whole again. In the meantime, do not worry and just continue on. I believe that somewhere down the line, you will find what you need in order to truly be whole, inside and out.".
This did help Danny, but not by much. Emiko looked to the young ladies and stated, "All of this is doctor/patient confidentiality, so don't tell anyone.". They were hesitant, but a glare and bit of scary pressure from Baba made them nod their heads in agreement.
~End flashback~
Danny could only hope that he would be able to hold himself together long enough to find the thing that would make him whole… before it was too late.
On September 1st 2007, at least according to Danny and the others, the real test was about to begin!
So it has been confirmed that Daniel Fenton IS half-Spirit, not half-ghost! But it seems that some serious issues have also arisen thanks to Baba's scans! Tomorrow is the big day when Danny and the others start their training; one with Master Roshi, the other with Yume Tenshi! What will happen? (Author's Notes: Wow! This was a bit of a long one! Not bad for getting back into the saddle like so!
Before I say or do anything else, I want to give honor and praise to the Lord! Thank you God for helping me to make this chapter! It was you Jesus that helped me to get off my butt and get back to writing like so again! I still have some kinks to get out of my system, but with your help guiding me in all things, I will be able to make this story one fitting for you! As you can see, Danny in here is half-Spirit. NOT half-ghost like it has been theorized for some time. Also, I hope you like how I made his core. I remembered the Super Emeralds from my old Sega game I used to play, and wanting to be a bit more creative, I used the Blue Super Emerald as a model for Danny's Core but on a smaller scale. In addition, it is solid yes but also malleable. This means that like Danny, it can grow and evolve depending on his choices and actions.
Also, I hope you all like the RPG-like aspect I put in concerning how one can explore the supernatural realms on Earth & in Other World. I got the inspiration from a certain video game that I loved to play in the past as a kid, which was Megaman Legends on the Playstation console! I remember that he rose in rank with his Digger's License; the higher the rank he got, the more areas he could explore.
And also concerning the external/internal factors when it comes to healing and such, this stems after doing some really hard thinking on where in certain movies/tv shows/video games/books and even in real life where the external was confused with the internal injuries and problems that could occur that most people do not see or realize until later.
I remember in the original DBZ series, Goku had gotten that heart virus that normal medicine in his current timeline could not cure. And after some serious thinking, I realized something. He had been dependent on the Senzu Beans for too long, using them instead of healing the regular way. And also not going to check-ups also was a problem. Most likely his internal body structure was weak, that his antibodies and other immune system parts were weak due to magical properties of the beans. They couldn't develop right or be toughed up against certain ailments, in which a healthy body has to develop against certain diseases and such by taking vaccines or fighting the infection with both medicine and letting the immune system do its job.
So thus on how he managed to contract the virus, and that it evolved due to him not realizing it until it was far too late. So that is why Baba was strict and firm with Diana and Sabrina being his medical physicians like so.
And also, I did remember the episode where Danny got separated by that Dream Catcher item… and believe me, I think that episode was one of the most unusual & also dangerous for Danny. Getting separated can cause problems for the psyche, and I am certain that even after he got put back together as one, his mind might still be fractured. Like a broken mirror, maybe together in pieces but nothing is holding it in place. That it's not as one/whole as one leads to believe.
And amazingly, this will help Danny in the future when a certain choice has to be made. No spoilers though, but I will say the choice he makes will help him to be completely whole- inside and out!
Now for the questions! Ahem…
If it was up to you, which ladies would you have to join Baba in doing the medical check-up on Danny? And why? Up to five girls.
How would you reassure Danny concerning a medical check-up, even after hearing about the times concerning Penelope and Vlad's actions?
What would be your thoughts in seeing the data that Baba collected that proved that Danny was half-Spirit? And what would your words be to him concerning on having personal physicians?
What did you think of Baba's explanation in exploring supernatural areas on Earth, and in Other World? And what kind of ID would you make that King Yemma would give to you so that you could explore his realm?

King Yemma tells you to make sure to keep all of the items in a secure place, and gives you permission to come up with inventive security ways to defend the objects from others.
