Note: The prolougue is currently being remade as I have new plans for the story going forward that need revamps on the backstory of the lord peverell, as some of the readers may have noticed there is now a doctor who tag on the story, and that is purely for my new ideas to be made so sorry, no doctor who characters other then mentions. Anyway I realized while attempting to rewrite it, it was way to terrible and I couldn't rewrite it good enough to fit my new ideas so I'm using this to mark the day I write this, DEC 24 2023, to mark this point in time when the prolougue hasn't been completed, when I have finished the prologue I will put it below as I will still use the same file im writing this in, Alr, see you next time, you may read the story without the prologue for now because my new ideas won't appear till a actual new chapter.

Hey there me from 2 minutes ago, looks like they did not have to wait long. Yeah I realize now this would not work and would probably get this taken down for not having content so, I decided the new prologue will have 2 chapters cause I realize what I have now is more then sustainable for a chapter, and the rest of what I want to put can be put in a new chapter later, so im gonna upload the first part of the prologue now, and later on I'll make a new chapter with the rest of what I want to put in it. So here you go.

NOTE:This story is in an AU. Most characters from cannon are not the same.

{PROLOGUE}

Shadow Resurgence

Silent tears ran down the wrinkled face of the old man, it was one hundred years today since she had died. One hundred sad lonely years, filled with sorrow and emptiness, his heart still yearned for her, his soul, his pained and tortured soul wept for her.

She had been 42 years old when her husband had killed her in a blind drunken rage; as a Weasley she had suffered twenty years of his abuse, twenty years without telling anyone about it. Abuse only discovered by her death at the hands of the brutal man.

Harry and she had both been thirty eight years old when they had both received the anonymous owls, the notes the owls brought had simply told them to ask in the record office for book Number one, on page five hundred and thirty, they would find something of great interest. They had through some strange twist of fate, turned up at the same time to look at the book, both carrying identical messages. They were best friends, had been for nearly all their lives, so they naturally looked at the book together.

They both knew, once they had read the entry, why they had lived such miserable lives, separately they had both been very unhappy, they read the entry together and together they had left the room. It was the last time he ever saw her alive, her fire and determination were gone, her spirit broken, she had simply said "it's too late." and left him standing watching her leave. The day she died he had known before he was told, he had felt it. His heart had broken just a little more and after so many long years he was still truly unhappy without her in his life, he missed her so much. In his long life he could count the happy days he had had on his fingers and toes.

Today he was one hundred and fortytwo years old, today he was to retire from the post of head of the Wizengamont, he wanted to spend his remaining years as the headmaster of Hogwarts with no other distractions. He had called in to the record office today just as he had done for exactly one hundred years; he stood at the small lectern and read the entry once again.

Harry looked again at the first page in the huge book. And read the page they had not read that first time.

Book of the Fated.

Warning to all written within.

Here in are the names of those chosen by fate to be together as soul-mates for all time. Let it be known throughout the world, that misery and torment for all eternity will befall any who wilfully prevent these unions. For those whose unions are never made complete, only a life of unhappiness remains. For those who find their soul-mate a simple kiss will complete their union. But beware lest you stand to close to such an event. If in this book you find your name then take heed, find your mate or suffer an eternal search. There will be no rest until two become one. For those within the pages of this book are placed here by the power of the universe… Look now learn and be warned you can not escape fate…

Note: Unions of soul-mates are recognised by the fates and the wizarding world as magical unions, unbreakable and eternal. Thus the Wizarding world accepts these unions as a legal and binding marriage for all time.

Harry left the records office and made his way along the various corridors that would lead him to the Wizengamont chamber, the place where the ruling body of the wizarding world met to make new laws, and to hold session. He was half way along the main corridor when he was stopped; a young wizard had joined him. Ashford Lupin was a brilliant young member of the untouchables, "I have the experiment scheduled for around fifteen minutes time, if you are interested professor you could come with me and witness the creation of the first personal time portal, it will be so much better than the old time turners sir, It might even be able to travel to alternate timelines."

Harry saw no reason he could not spare this eager young man a few minutes of his time, he considered Ashford's proposal, a spark of interest igniting in his tired eyes. "Personal time portal, you say?" he mused. The idea of witnessing the creation of such a magical innovation intrigued him, pulling him away momentarily from the weight of his somber reflections.

"Yes, sir," Ashford replied with enthusiasm. "It's a groundbreaking experiment. We've been working tirelessly on it, and today's the day we bring it to life. I thought you might appreciate being there for the historic moment."

Harry nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Lead the way, Ashford. I could use a distraction today, something to stir the mind from memories that cling like shadows."

As they walked together through the hallowed halls of the wizarding world, Harry's thoughts shifted between the painful recollections of lost love and the anticipation of witnessing a new magical frontier unfold before his eyes. The journey to the experimental chamber was a quiet one, the air tinged with a sense of both melancholy and anticipation.

Upon reaching the chamber, Harry observed the intricate magical apparatus, his eyes betraying a lingering curiosity beneath the weight of years. Ashford, eager to share his knowledge, explained the mechanics of the personal time portal, detailing the fusion of ancient and modern magical principles.

As the experiment unfolded, a shimmering portal materialized before them, a gateway to realms of possibility and alternate timelines. The air hummed with magical resonance, and Harry found himself momentarily captivated by the dance of arcane energies.

In that moment, the past and future seemed to converge, and Harry wondered if this newfound magic could somehow alter the course of destiny. Little did he know that the experiment he observed would become intertwined with his own journey, offering a glimmer of hope amid the echoes of a hundred years of solitude.

As Harry settled into the chair, his gaze fixed on the experimental apparatus before him, he inquired, "Could you please elaborate on the mechanics of this time portal? The Wizengamot possesses limited information about your project, beyond its current status."

Ashford, with a hint of excitement, responded, "Certainly, Professor. The personal time portal is an intricate fusion of ancient chronomancy and state-of-the-art enchantments. The crux lies in manipulating temporal flux at a personal level. We employ meticulously calibrated spells and magical matrices to create a controlled rift in time, providing the user access to different points. It's akin to a pocket-sized gateway to the past or future, with potential applications spanning historical research to personal exploration."

Before Ashford could delve deeper into the complexities, his assistant hurriedly approached.

"Apologies for the interruption, Ashford, but Project Resurgence is ready for testing. We've achieved a breakthrough," the assistant announced.

Ashford, turning to Harry, said, "Ah, Professor, if you'll excuse me for a moment. Project Resurgence is another venture we've been working on—something truly remarkable. I'll catch up with you shortly to continue our discussion on the time portal, you can join us on this other project while we wait." As Ashford and Harry navigated through the labyrinthine corridors, Harry couldn't help but ponder the potential wonders of the personal time portal. It offered a momentary respite from the weight of a hundred years of solitude, a chance to witness the unfolding of magic beyond the confines of a single timeline.

Upon reaching the testing chamber for Project Resurgence, Ashford directed Harry's attention to the innovative equipment.

"Here we are Professor, Project Resurgence. It delves into the realms of magical rejuvenation, aiming to restore vitality and even reverse certain effects of aging," Ashford explained.

However, before the experiment could commence, a concerned scientist approached.

"We encountered an unexpected hurdle, Ashford. We couldn't find suitable test subjects for Project Resurgence. The criteria are stringent, and it seems we're facing a shortage of volunteers who meet the necessary conditions."

Harry, now intrigued by Project Resurgence, inquired, "So what exactly is Project Resurgence, and could I be the volunteer?"

Ashford, with a thoughtful expression, replied, "Project Resurgence is a groundbreaking endeavor, Professor. Inspired by a concept from a Muggle TV show called Doctor Who, it explores magical regeneration—a process where one's entire being is rejuvenated, even the clothes transform to fit the new self. It's a revolutionary approach to healing magic."

Harry, reflecting on his past and the pain that lingered, nodded and said, "I don't have much left to lose after losing my soulmate."

The scientist interjected, "He fits the criteria perfectly. Physically and magically, he's an ideal candidate."

Ashford, with a heavy sigh, conceded, "Very well, Professor. If you're determined, step into the trial chamber. We'll closely monitor the process and take every precaution. Are you certain about this?"

Harry, with a determined nod, affirmed, "Yes, might as well get this over with."

Entering the trial chamber, Ashford handed Harry the Essence Renewal potion.

"What does this potion do?" Harry questioned.

"It activates a dormant magical gene that was once unnoticeable. It's crucial for the Resurgence to take effect," Ashford explained.

As Harry hesitated, he asked, "How much damage do I need to do to myself?"

"Enough to be considered fatal. It's the trigger for the dormant gene. I know it sounds extreme, but the potion won't activate the Resurgence without it."

Remembering the Doctor Who regenerations, Harry drank the potion and scanned the room for a way to inflict the necessary damage. Once the magical gene activated, he used his wand to direct all the crossbows in the room toward himself.

The bolts struck him, and he shouted in pain before the Resurgence took hold. Strands of dark power surged from Harry's body, echoing the regeneration process of the Doctor. The room was bathed in an otherworldly glow, and as the strands danced around him, Harry underwent a magical rebirth. The air crackled with the intensity of the Resurgence, and when it subsided, a changed Harry stood in its wake, his features altered and reversed by the magic of renewal. As Harry strolled around the room, his eyes widened as he examined his rejuvenated hands and observed the fit of his now smaller clothes. The one-way glass at the front of the room unexpectedly became transparent, revealing the shocked expressions of everyone present, including Ashford, who appeared taller than before the Resurgence.

Ashford, breaking the silence, asked, "Professor, do you like the new look?" He transfigured a mirror for Harry to see himself, and as he gazed into it, disbelief washed over his face. Staring back at him was his fifteen-year-old self, with tidier hair, purple eyes, and the height he had during his teenage years.

In shock, Harry marveled at the revolutionary invention. Exiting the trial chamber, he returned to the previous room, met with a chorus of cheers celebrating the discovery. Ashford found him in the midst of the jubilation and pulled him aside for a private conversation.

"It's strange to think the fifteen-year-old in front of me is my professor," Ashford mused.

Rolling his eyes in typical Harry fashion, he replied, "Well, get used to it, I suppose."

Ashford then broached the question that lingered in the air, "Are you willing to give up this life for a possible new one through the time portal?"

Without hesitation, Harry responded, "Without Hermione around, this life isn't worth it."

Ashford, nodding, said, "I expected you'd say that. Pack up whatever you want to bring, and consider finding a new wand. It wouldn't do well to run into a potential 'Boy Who Lived' in your new timeline wielding the same wand."

Harry agreed, and Ashford announced to his team that Harry was on board as the test subject for the time portal. The room erupted in cheers and expressions of gratitude. Ashford reminded them all to reconvene in one week for the critical test.

With that, Harry left to deal with his present life and prepare for the next. His first stop—Gringotts, where he would unravel the mysteries of his finances and ensure a smooth transition into the unknown.
