Angry Birds 3: The Love of Red and Silver
Ch. 1: Reflections of the Past
written 9/5/20
It had been six months since Red, Chuck, Bomb, Silver, Leonard, Courtney, Gary, Mighty Eagle, and (to an extent the little piggies, and hatchlings) had put aside their
differences to work together. As a result of this they were able to successfully save both Bird Island and Piggy Island from the assaults of Eagle Island. The Leader of the
Eagles on Eagle Island, Zeta, was now happily married to Mighty Eagle along with their daughter Debbie. Red and Silver had since then become very close, much to Chuck's
dismay. Although they enjoyed each other's company, Chuck was always trying to find different ways to interfere. Such as showing up out of nowhere and being a third wheel
or intensely watching them with binoculars from a distance.
***Present Day***
It was another bright, sunny day on Bird Island. The truce between the Birds and the Pigs was stronger than ever so much so that both sides no longer had issues being
together on each other's islands (which constantly was made possible by the air and water transportation of the Pigs). Everyone was out and about walking around chatting
with each other. Red was walking in the village when suddenly he bumped into Leonard. "Oh sorry Leonard." said Red. "No worries." replied Leonard. "How are you?" "Not
bad, just going over to see Silver." answered Red. "How about you." "Just fine, but I'll let you get back to meeting with Silver." replied Leonard. "Okay, well I'll see you around
Leonard." said Red. "Later." said Leonard. With that they parted ways and Red went to the slingshot pointed at the Avian Academy. Inside Silver was just finishing up a
lecture. "And the way super string was utilized to destroy the super weapon on Eagle Island is just one more of the major advantages and uses it provides." she said. This
time half the class was awake instead of in the past in which case almost all but two or three students were asleep. Meanwhile Red had just landed on the Avian Academy
slingshot stop in a not so graceful manner. "Oww." he said as he got up and dusted himself off. He made his way through to the entrance of the Avian Academy in the
direction of Silver's classroom. Back in her classroom Silver was just dismissing her students. "Well that's all for today." she said. "Have a good one." Then the bell rang and
the students packed up to leave. Silver had just packed up to leave when Red entered the classroom. "Hey Silver." he said. "How are you?" "Well my students were much
more attentive than they used to be before we destroyed the super weapon on Eagle Island with my super string." she said. "So all in all can't complain." "I'm glad to hear
that." replied Red. "See there was a silver lining to that mission being successful after all." Both birds shared a laugh. "Nice pun Red!" exclaimed Silver. "Thanks." replied Red.
"So what are you going to do now?" "Well I'm free for the rest of the day." replied Silver. "How about you?" "Well I'm free as well and that's the reason I came by." explained
Red. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?" "Sure." replied Silver happily. "What did you have in mind?" "Well how about a stroll around Bird Island." suggested
Red. "Sounds like a good idea." replied Silver. "First we need to stop by my place so I can put away my lecture material." "That's fine." said Red in understanding. "Okay let's
go." said Silver. The two birds walked over to the slingshot aimed at Silver's part of the neighborhood. Once they were in the air Silver pointed to her place which happened to
be close to the speed dating venue. "Alright Red this the our stop." said Silver. They grabbed onto the pole nearby her place and swung down. "Would you like me to just wait
outside for you?" asked Red as they walked up to Silver's front door. Silver looked at Red with a smile. "You don't have to." she said. "Feel free to come on in and wait on the
couch for me." "Thank you." replied Red gratefully. He sat on her couch and waited patiently for Silver to put her Avian Academy lecture material away. Five minutes later
Silver returned and joined Red. "Okay Red, I'm ready." she said. "Great let's go." said Red. They walked outside her house and Silver locked the door behind her. They began
their stroll together walking side by side and happened to first pass by the old speed dating entrance. "Hey remember this?" Silver asked Red pointing to the sign. "Oh please
don't remind me." begged Red. "That was one of the most embarrassing nights of my life." "Yes, but it's also the night we first met." replied Silver reminding him. "Oh yeah."
said Red in recollection. "No offense Silver, but that formula or whatever, although very creative made our meeting very awkward." "Yeah, sorry about that." said Silver.
"Unfortunately it's the only way I could be certain about compatibility issues." "It's okay, but what was really annoying and hurtful was the last thing you said to me before we
parted that night." said Red. "What was that?" inquired Silver. "You said have fun being alone." answered Red. "When I got home I slipped into a bit of a depression, lying on
the floor catching popcorn in my mouth while pouring melted butter and salt on top of the popcorn." Silver gasped and covered her mouth. "Oh Red, I'm so sorry." cried
Silver. "It's just when you said have a nice life to me so sharply I felt I had to say something worse out of spite." Then Silver did something that Red did not expect. She
hugged him and gave him a light kiss on the cheek. "What was that for?" asked Red. "It's my natural way of saying that I am truly sorry." explained Silver. Then Red chose to
return the favor. "Ahh Red, although you have problems managing your feelings it seems you're getting much better at it." said Silver who was blushing. "I have you to thank
for that Silver." said Red. "Remember when we were captured and put on ice, you were acting like my own personal therapist." Silver smiled. "I'm glad I was able to be the
helpful variable in that situation." The two birds both shared a laugh. "Silver I gotta ask you about something when we were on the mission on Eagle Island." said Red. "Of
course." replied Silver. "What about it?" "Well you remember when we were in the vent together and I asked why you didn't team up with Chuck or Bomb instead of me and
you told me their faults and said I was perfect?" asked Red. "Sure." answered Silver with uncertainty in her voice. "Then I said that that was funny because I thought we
weren't compatible." continued Red. "Yeah..." replied Silver feeling a little bit uncomfortable. "Finally you started moving really close to me and saying that some of the
variables changed." inquired Red. "Definitely." said Silver now a little bit more comfortably. "Can I confess something to you about that moment?" inquired Red. "Also I'm
praying that it won't make this so awkward that you never wanna be near me again." "What is it?" asked Silver. "I thought you were coming closer because you were gonna
kiss me." said Red as he prepared for a negative reaction. Silver remained calm and composed. "Look Red, I like you only as a friend right now." she answered. "Okay just
had to know." said Red with a sigh. "I sometimes misinterpret things that are said and/or done." "It's okay everyone, myself included, has that problem now and again."
added Silver giving Red a friendly pat on the back. "Come on let's continue our stroll around Bird Island." she said. Neither of them knew it, but they both wished that it
would've been a kiss because they were both starting to love each other.
