Chapter 4

Despite the fact that the Hogwarts express traveled from central London to northern Scotland, Lauren thought that the trip was entirely too short. The whole while, Lily chattered on and on about everything under the sun. She was talking animatedly about the Hogwarts quidditch team that James plays for when there was a slight rap at their carriage door. Lily flew to the door to find a rather tall boy close to their age, with bushy brown hair and pale complexion.

"HUGO!" Lily screamed before throwing her arms around the boy, who smiled and hugged her back.

"Hey, Lu! Happy Birthday! Can I sit with you? Wait till I tell you abou-"

Hugo Weasley now gathered that there was another girl in the carriage. She was small, blonde hair and blue eyes, looking rather small, as if she were sinking into the cushion, trying not to be noticed.

"Oh, HUGO! I have so much to tell you! But first," Lily let go of Hugo finally and turned towards the girl, who was still sitting.

"Lauren, This is my cousin and best friend, Hugo Weasley! Hugo, this is my new friend, and distant relative, Lauren Dursley!"

Hugo walked toward the girl-Lauren- and put his hand out.

"Nice to meet you Lauren! He smiled

Lauren looked at the tall boy, with a cheesy grin and smiled a small smile. She reached out and shook his hand.

"You too," she returned

Lily was back to jumping around the cabin exclaiming to Hugo how her summer was and asking how his vacation was, and how it has been so long since she saw him and how was his trip to America?

Lauren watched as Hugo managed to tell Lily about America without too many interruptions. She smiled. If she could capture memories in her brain forever, she was sure this would be one of them.

Through the rest of the journey, Lily introduced so many people to Lauren that she wasn't sure what faces belonged to what names.

In a wild, chaotic frenzy, Lauren found herself in a small boat, headed across a dark lake. Looking up, there was millions of stars twinkling as if to say, "Lauren, we know that your time will be happy and filled with laughter," The castle looming in the distance was absolutely enormous. There never seemed an end, Lauren couldn't help but gape at this endless beauty. Was this all real or would Lauren wake up and discover that this had just been a wonderful, wonderful dream?

Lauren's Sorting next! Any guesses to Lauren's house?
