Hi there, I wanted to make a good spider fanfic for a really long time. I have wanted to make a Spider Man x DC crossover, not any bull crap of him going to another direction or some other weird stuff that people wanted to add in their stories. It's the startup of Spider Man if he started up in the DC universe, his supporting characters would also be in the DC universe and he would interact with the Justice League and other teams.
This is for another time, right now I made this for a different idea. Since My Hero is ending very soon I decided to try things out, where Izuku will be bitten by the Spider. Now we have seen this before, but in this one Izuku will not be a member of the Hero Course or Supportive Course, he will be just regular Course and be the most famous Vigilante in all of Japan.
Note: Before I launched this fic, I found a really good My Hero x Spider Man story called The Green Spider on AO3, which takes the ideas of Spider Man and does most of the stuff I wanted it, but this story is supposed to be based on the Ultimate comics which I have a soft spot in my heart. Go check The Green Spider on AO3, its really good and I will take also inspiration from that for upcoming stories.
I love Ultimate Spider Man, its possibly my favorite Spider Man run of all time, the main thing that works is that only one writer was in charge of the whole thing, so when there is no new team that comes around change everything. Spider Man the 616 one is the punching bag for the writers and editors, no wonder why Jonathan Hickman sold more than Zeb Wells.
Alright, lets start this up!
Once upon a time the world was normal, however it all changed over 200 years ago when a baby in China started to glow out of nowhere. Soon after more and more people started to develop these powers, they called Mutation for a good time but soon a new term was established to determine this and it was called Quirks. People with quirks became a norm and the non quirked or Quirkless were now a minority or second class citizen.
Once these powers started to become a norm people started to use for their own gain, however a beam of hope would soon come in the form of…the Pro Hero. Once thought of as a dream people started to become heroes and save people all over the world. The origin of the Heroes are in the United States but then other countries started to make a name for themselves, including Japan which is where our story will take place
At a Small Park in Musutafu, Japan
A little boy named Izuku Midoriya was protecting a boy who is in the ground crying. What was the reason a gang of brats lead by a angry boy named Bakugo were the responsible for this.
"Please Kacchan stop! You're being such a meanie!'' Said Izuku.
The ash blonde saw the skinny kid shaking and trying to act brave, the other kids didn't know what to say but Bakugo just looked at that annoyed.
"Oh so you want to play hero! Well too bad you're never going to be one! Because you're just one stupid weak Deku!'' Scream Bakugo
The kid went and beat up Izuku and that would become his norm. He was diagnosed Quirkless and a lot of people started looking down on him. Specially Bakugo, who was once his friend it would become his greatest bully, despite all the down looks on him Izuku always imagined that he would become a great hero someday, just like his idol All Might.
A few years later
Izuku had a rough day, it was the first day of the last year of Middle School the teacher just knew everyone in the class except for Izuku wanted to be heroes, Bakugo made a whole speech on how he was going to be on top of UA, people told that Izuku wanted to go UA and Bakugo made sure he stayed on his place. He even burned one of Izuku Book and told him to jump off a roof to get a quirk in the next life.
Later while going home Izuku got attacked by a slime monster but was saved by his favorite hero All Might, Izuku wanted to ask him if everyone could be a hero without having a quirk, but he was dragged off because All Might had a mission. In a rooftop after they stopped Izuku learned that All Might couldn't sustain his muscular form for that long due than injury, however on that moment he asked if he could be a hero without a quirk which All Might answered, no.
"I am sorry, I can never seen someone without a quirk becoming a hero. We sacrifice our life's in a daily basis and frankly…you would get in the way. I am truly sorry kid, but this how it is.'' Said All Might.
The hero went down to continue with his duty leaving kid alone, he knew what he was doing was horrible, but it was reality and he couldn't do anything about it.
Izuku stayed on the roof for about an hour, just quietly in shock after hearing his idol telling him to give up on his dream. He even looked at the roof and the distance, but luckily, he did not jump. He ran home crying.
Once home his mother Inko saw him running to his room much to her shock.
"Izuku!'' Said Inko.
The mother wanted to go to his son room but he shut the door, something he has never done in such a matter.
"Inko what happened?'' Asked someone.
The slim woman turned around and saw a tall man with black hair, freckles on his face a nice figure. That was Izuku father Hisashi who for a good amount of time in the year stay out in another county working, but for now he was at home spending time with his family.
"Hisashi!'' Said Inko.
"What happened? Where is Izuku?'' Asked him.
At Izuku Room
Izuku was in his room crying and soaking in his pillow, he has cried a lot but that felt especially emotional, much to his parents worry.
"Oh dear.'' Said Inko sorrow.
"I will talk to him.'' Said the father.
Hisashi went to his son room, making sure to not mess any poster that his son had of All Might, he sat on the bed and tried to reason with his son.
"Izuku, what happened?'' Asked him.
"Dad you wouldn't understand.'' Said Izuku.
"Izuku, I am your father please tell me what is eating you.'' Said Hisashi.
The teen then told his dad all that happened, Bakugo which he would have a word with Masura later and All Might. Hearing your idol breaking your dreams right in front of you is not a good thing, but the old man knew what the hero was aiming to.
"He has some points right.'' Said Hisashi.
"Uh!'' Said Izuku in shock.
"I am sorry but son, he has a point. I mean you mean well but I never seen you working out or trying to make sure a place is safe.'' Said Hisashi with a point, Izuku was always saying that he wanted to be a hero but never did a workout routine or did anything to show off his intellect. All he did take notes on heroes and collect toys.
The teen didn't know what to say but he knew his dad was right.
"Sometimes you need to let it go of a dream. I never wanted this job or be separated from you two for 6 months every year, I do because I want to make sure you two are happy and never pass hungry. You need to sacrifice some stuff you like in order to aim for the future.'' Said Hisashi.
"But dad…'' Said Izuku but Hisashi cuts him off.
"Izuku, making hero notes is a hobby. I know you wanted to use them for when you go to hero school, but that ship is sailed.'' Said Hisashi being realistic.
The teen just looked down sad again, making the old man a bit down too but he knew he had to make this talk.
"Listen, I am saying this because I love you. I want you to be happy, I want you to succeed and have a good life, but being a hero is not one suitable for you. Want to hear something, not all heroes are happy, I know a lot of heroes in the United States that can't afford rent and have to work as clerks in stores. The point is Izuku you should have done something to show off your talents, you are a genius but not strong, you need to be realistic.'' Said Hisashi.
The teen stopped crying and face the facts that he just sat there taking notes and enduring Bakugo abuse. Just because you don't have a quirk it doesn't mean you can't walk or something, yes Izuku gets discrimination in a few places but he always had his parents who love him with a big open heart, not like those horrible parents on the news that once they found out their kids are quirkless they abandoned in orphanage letting them grow up without a family or killed them. Izuku was born to a special family.
"I know dad.'' Said him.
"I know it hurts but it will pass. There are lot of people who are in worst condition than you. Just because you can't be a hero it doesn't mean you can't be happy. So what you don't have a quirk, it's kind of a good thing. You think I like having fire breath? Do you know how many dinners I ruined because I sneeze?'' Asked Hisashi.
"28.'' Asked Izuku with a jokey tone.
"Thinking like this isn't going to get into places smartass.'' Said Hisashi.
The two soon shared a laugh which was a first sigh that things were getting better.
"You will find something that you will like some day. Hey, maybe you can work in a lab or became a famous scientist you do have a big brain for that. Bakugo and the others will be stuck being heroes and that will not be good, having your life around just one thing. You my son is free to choose anything you want.'' Said Hisashi.
The teen felt a lot better know; all he need it was a good talk from his father to make his head feel a lot better.
"You think I can achieve great things?'' Asked Izuku.
"Yes, I know. You're my son! I know you will achieve things that most of those hero teens will never do. Since you don't have powers you are free from any kind of suspicion so people will start to trust you more. These will be your years Izuku, these will be the years that will determine the rest of your life, Bakugo said he has already figured out when in truth he doesn't, now you can change and determined what kind of person you want to be. Remember with that with great power comes great responsibility.'' Said Hisashi.
The words meant a lot to Izuku, he felt like he could do anything know, be a great scientist, a doctor, a detective, an engineer just anything. Just because you're quirkless it doesn't mean you are banned from every place; you will start small but soon reach high places, this is something that someone like All Might will never understood.
"Thanks dad, I love you so much.'' Said Izuku hugging his dad.
"I love you too.'' Said Hisashi hugging his son.
Inko just started to weep at that scene, it was beautiful, and she was glad her husband was there during his time off. It will be sad to see him go in a few months, but they understood the situation. The Midoriya family will continue to get stronger.
Later Hisashi and Inko helped Izuku take off all that All Might stuff and replace it with other things like books and notebooks. Izuku wanted to see if he could get a scholarship or a endorsement from a lab. He would show the world that he was not a useless Deku to anyone.
A few weeks later
At Oscorp Labs in Japan
This was one of the largest laboratories in the world and one of the biggest from Oscorp corporation, a massive and powerful enterprise that boosted from pharmaceuticals to Hero gadgets. Its owner Norman Osborn was in Japan at the moment, and what was he doing? Looking at a spider that was in his gloved hand. However, this wasn't a simple spider, it was a genetically modified Spider. One that he has been working on for years and costed millions of dollars and other international coins to this research.
Norman Osborn was a man who was always hungry for power and find a new tactic. He made Billions with that, and the most amazing thing is that he never had a quirk, yes one of the most powerful man in the world in term of the economic side didn't had any sort of power and apparently was ok with that, he never took any interest in becoming a hero, he just created stuff for heroes more for the money and less to aid them, but nobody complained because their gadget always worked.
The man looked at that Spider as if everything he ever created meant nothing compared to this.
"Are you a fan of Greek Mythology, Juni?'' Asked Norman to a lab person who had green skins and blue eyes.
"No really, sir.'' Said Juni.
"Then let me tell you about the myth of Arachne. The story goes that Athena the Greek goddess seems she heard there was this woman on Earth, a mere mortal like you and me, who happened to be a better spinstress than she was.'' Said Norman while looking at the spider.
"Spinstress?'' Asked Juni confused.
"Athena wasn't too happy too hear this and she came down to Earth and destroy the woman's creation.'' Said Norman.
"Sounds like typical girl jealousy.'' Said Juni.
"When this mortal girl saw what had happened, that she had insulted the gods and that her life's work had been destroyed she hanged herself. Athena took pity on this poor girl, and touched her on the forehead with a magic liquid and said: You shall not die, Arachne. Instead you shall be transformed and weave your web forever. At Athena's word Arachne shrank and blackened. First her nose and ears fell off, and then her fingers turned into legs and then what was left of her body, out of which she spins and was left to spin her web.'' Said Osborn touching his spider.
"Mr. Osborn, your lawyer is on the cell phone. Says its important.'' Said an assistant.
"Import to whom?'' Asked him.
As Norman took the phone he gave the genetic modification Spider to Juni who was scared out of his mind.
"I told you I don't want to be bothered in my lab, tell him there is no room to negotiate. What? No, I said no. No! Now that you distribute me! Let me distribute you!'' Said Norman pissed. He kept talking to the Lawyer about his new drug called Oz which would be revolutionary on the market, and everyone would be dying to be having. Everyone from all ages and all quirks would be fighting each other to have.
Juni wasn't hearing what his boss was saying anymore he was too scared of that spider, not only was genetically modified but was pretty big. He tossed her into a container, however he just tossed her to the container not seeing that it was open, letting the itsy bitsy spider climb up.
At Alderan Junior School
Ever since the slime villain incident Katsuki Bakugo was getting a lot of attention, but not the one what he wanted. It was the pity kind, not the Wow you are awesome kind of attention.
"Hey Bakugo are you really going to UA? After that whole Slime incident?''
"Yes, it took All Might to save your ass.''
"Why didn't all those heroes stepped to save him?''
"Shut up! It was nothing!'' Scream Bakugo all pissed.
Izuku was being a lot quiet ever since he had the talk with his father. He wasn't doing any more Hero Notes, but he was being reserved because he didn't had a lot of friends in this place.
"I guess he is not all that great.'' Thought Izuku.
"Hey Bakugo Midoriya is right there. Want to kick him in the butt? There is nobody here.'' Said one of the goons.
"Nah, let Deku be on his own. Plus, I have to do my training and he will get in the way.'' Said Bakugo with a smirk.
"Yeah, I bet even kicking in the butt is not worth anymore.'' Said one of the goons.
"Whatever, Deku is living his best year at the moment before being send to a shitty High School that has not even a hero program! Let him be by himself.'' Said Bakugo laughing.
The guy was so full of himself that was amazing to see him surviving a full year of Hero school, they would chew him.
"Jerk.'' Said Izuku feeling stop being such a coward.
The teen went out to the front of his school, looking taking some fresh air to feel a little better.
"Izuku!'' Said a voice which turned out to be Hisashi.
"Dad, what are you doing here?'' Asked Izuku.
"I had some free time from my virtual meeting, so I came to get you.'' Said him.
"Really?'' Asked Izuku.
"Yeah, so let's go. Wanna stop for some Takoyaki? Your mom doesn't need to know.'' Said Hisashi.
"Mister Hisahsi? Is that you?'' Asked a feminine voice.
"Wait is that…Mari? Little Mari?'' Asked Hisashi seeing the middle school girl.
The girl was a cute one, she had beautiful red hari, a nice body with a nice bust that got girls jealous of. She was Mari Jue, and she was actually a childhood friend from Izuku and probably the only girl in the entire Middle School that he could talk without looking like a dork. Although still friends they haven't been that close since they were going to start High School and Mari was trying to be more social. She also didn't care that Izuku was Quirkless, she had a pretty useless quirk it was called Strong Jaw, it allow her to bite really hard things but she couldn't swallow them.
"I didn't expect to see you again in Japan.'' Said Mari.
"I am on my time period where I can stay here. I want to spend more time with my son.'' Said him.
The old man saw the girl with a smile as he saw Izuku blushing a little bit.
"You grew a lot, still remember the little girl that used to come to our house.'' Said Hisashi.
"Thanks, I did a lot of work and diet to get in good shape.'' Said Mari.
"Oh Izuku is looking for a good routine to follow. Maybe you could help him.'' Said Hisashi.
"Dad!'' Said Izuku blushing.
"It's ok, I don't mind that. Everyone needs some kind of proper guidance in health habits.'' Said Mari with a smile.
The two teens and the adult had a good talk, Izuku was still a little bit awkward but it wasn't as bad as he talked with other guns. Hisashi could tell that his son had feelings for the red-haired girl but it would take some time to get some courage.
The following day
Izuku was looking at his chemical book, getting answers for an upcoming test. While reading and walking he heard a explosion near him.
BAM
"AH!'' Scream Izuku in shock.
"Hey, looks where are you walking Deku! You could have bumped into me! I am don't want to get your weird mumble stuck on my clothes.''
"Nice, wait what?!'' Asked the goon confused.
"You are too dumb to understand that.'' Said Bakugo with a smirk.
"How heroic Bakugo, I am sure UA will love that you love to bullying others. I can't wait for them to kick you out.'' Said someone with a smirk.
The blonde had his veins popping out but he saw who it was, the richest kid of the school Haruma Osborn, son of international businessman Norman Osborn with a Japanese Super Model. He has the standard look of a Japanese teenager with slicky black hair and nice clothes. Despite being a rich kid he was send to study in a public school to learn humility and work with others which he didn't mind, he liked the place and was even friends with Izuku.
He was one of the few people that Bakugo couldn't touch, once he screamed DIE and grabbed Haruma and that let to violent lawsuit that took a good amount of money, so the Bakugos jammed into their son head to never NEVER threat Haruma Osborn again. Bakugo was brash and violent but he wasn't stupid, Haruma had more lawyers than he had explosions, one wrong thing and its another lawsuit.
"What do you want Richie Richie?' Asked Bakugo.
"I am making sure that my friend is ok and how Japan future hero failure is doing.'' Said Haruma with a smirk making Bakugo explode in ager but he had to hold up.
"Like I am scared of you and your lawyers. Go back to daddy.'' Said Bakugo.
"You know that even after we graduated you will still see me. My family owns a lot of places that work for Hero Support, you are not going to get rid of me that easily.'' Said Haruma with smile.
"Shut up!'' Scream Bakugo leaving with his goons.
As Bakugo left Haruma grabbed Izuku book which was on the floor and helped his friend.
"Honestly if he last more than a year it will be a miracle.'' Said Haruma.
"Osborn, I appreciate your help but even with your lawyers getting Kacchan angry is not a good idea.'' Said Izuku.
"Fine, but it's too tempting to not try. Seeing him having to be held back is a taste that everyone needs to have.'' Said Haruma.
"I know, but I am worried about you.'' Said Izuku
"Izuku, I know I am bit cocky but I know how to deal with guys like him. I seen worse than him.'' Said Haruma.
"Ok, so do you need something?'' Asked Izuku.
The rich kid soon laughs.
"Listen, can I swing around by your place later tonight, we can go over that biology stuff?'' Asked Haruma.
"Osborn…I am sorry I was thinking on working on some personal project.'' Said Izuku.
"Look I need to get my grade up, Biology is my father favorite subject so maybe he can notice this.'' Said Haruma with a little sad tone.
"You know I don't mind doing your homework…'' Said Izuku but Haruma cuts him.
"Helping me with your homework.'' Said him with a smirk.
"But can't you just pay for a professional home tutor? I mean, I feel I am smart but not that much.'' Said Izuku.
"Oh come Izuku, I feel much easier alongside you, plus your notes saved my butt from failing various courses. Come on if you help me I can get you a new All Might signature. I am filled with those.'' Said Haruma.
"Yeah, I am not into All Might anymore.'' Said Izuku a bit sad.
Haruma heard that and was now confused, Izuku usually jumps upon hearing about All Might, but now he was just looking down.
"What happened?'' Asked him.
"it's a long story.'' Said the teen
Haruma then heard the story about All Might destroy Izuku dream, he was pissed and even promised to try pull funds from his agency. Izuku didn't mind but Haruma was actually angry at this and promised to get back at that fake.
A little later
P.E class was about to start and of course everyone was looking at the skinny Izuku Midoriya, there wasn't a single muscle in that body.
Also, this was the class that Katsuki Bakugo loved to show off the most. Making sure that everyone see him and made sure to know that he was best.
"Alright, time to get in shape kids! Move your butts!'' Said the P.E teacher.
Everyone did jogs and tried to do some pushups and of course Izuku was at the bottom.
"Come on! Just a few!'' Said the teacher.
The teen tried but he couldn't do it so he collapsed in the floor.
"Dammit kid! I know you don't have a quirk but come on!'' Said the teacher.
Izuku tried to get up but it was hard because he was having some muscle pain.
"Hey are you alright?'' Asked Haruma.
"Yes.'' Said him getting up thanks to a hand offer from Haruma.
The two soon went off as Bakugo started to show off his explosions for the millesimal time this year.
At the Midoriya residence.
The family was having a nice dinner together, but Izuku was too busy reading a science book than interacting with his parents.
"Izuku put down that book.'' Said Inko.
"Sorry mom, I am a bit obsessed at the moment.'' Said him.
"You are always studying it; I don't think its good.'' Said Inko.
"Inko the boy is trying to achieve great things; he is just trying to put his future on sight. There is nothing wrong with that.'' Said Hisashi.
"Sorry, I am just worried.'' Said Inko.
"We talked about that if you worry too much you start to put weight again. Remember how it was in the begging?'' Asked Hisashi remembering how much stress eating Inko did in the start.
"I am doing fine thank you very much.'' Said her with puff checks which made the two other in the table just laugh.
The dinner at the Midoriya household was overall very uplifting, it was night like this that made Izuku happy that his dad was at home.
At Izuku room a little later.
Haruma came and looked around his friend new room. No more All Might posters or merchandise, very hero stuff overall, there were was just some blackboard with some scientific notes and other crap laying around.
"So, you're working on some weird formulas?'' Asked Haruma.
"Yes, trying to get things around. Still nothing.'' Said Izuku.
"What is in this stuff?'' Asked Haruma seeing a container with a black liquid.
"Just a failed experiment.'' Said Izuku.
"Man you're a junior mad scientist at work.'' Said Haruma.
"I am not even at that level.'' Said Izuku.
"Relax man, you can get around in finding something good later. It can be a new medicine or the cure for cancer, who knows.'' Said Said Haruma.
"Yeah.'' Said Izuku.
"Alright, can you help me with my homework?'' Asked Haruma.
"Yes, come over.'' Said Izuku.
The two worked together on Haruma homework, for Izuku that was easy but for the rich boy was having a really hard time. They had a rough time but they managed to get things around in the end.
Next Day
At Oscorp Japanese Mansion
Haruma was going to talk to his father, his school was going to make a trip to their Lab later today. He wanted to know if he was going to be there to do some presentation, he knew he was busy but he could at least say hi. When he went to speak with him he saw his dad talking in the phone and he was angry.
"Listen, let me tell you something about the American consumer Market, joe. The cigarette companies listen to me…'' Said Norman going on about how he had power to some companies.
Haruma knew this was a bad idea but he had try, he need it to be more open with his father.
"Uh dad, you remember that today my class will be coming to visit the science labs? Because I was hoping you…'' Said Haruma a bit shy but Norman wasn't having none of that.
"Mio! Mio! Will you get this kid out of here!?'' Scream Norman pissed.
"Haruma lets go, your dad has a lot of work to do and he can't be bothered.'' Said Juni the assistant who was with Norman.
"Like I have nothing better to do than babysit!'' Said Norman going to talk over the phone again.
Haruma wasn't shocked by that, this has been his entire life just being neglected and pushed to the side by Norman.
"Jackass.'' Said him pissed.
At Oscorp Lab
The classes of Alderan High were already present and seeing what at state of the art multi-million dollar Lab was capable of. They were just middle school students, but they are all amazed by all that.
"Welcome children, since 2173 the Osborn Industries have been dedicated in proving innovative materials for manufacturing, construction, automotive chemical processing and numerous other global industries. We are also a great investor in a lot of heroes, we have working relationships with Endeavor, Best Jeannist, Sir Nighteye and so much more.'' Said a woman explaining the lab to everyone.
"Boring.'' Said Bakugo.
"Ok kid, since you're the smartass would like to the guide. Do you know how many gallons of chemicals go around these tubes? Or how many toxic wastes to we preserve to not be throw out in the sea? Please, be our guest.'' Said the woman kind of annoyed.
The entire class looked at Bakugo waiting some answer or a fuck you, but he was off guard so he had no answer for that.
"That's what I thought, if you follow me down this path.'' Said the woman.
As the kids walked around the scientist were about to do some work around the genetic spider, only one problem.
"Hey where is the Spider?'' Asked one scientist.
"What are you talking about it? That thing is right…'' Said another scientist but he then saw that the spider wasn't in its habitat.
Soon panic started to rise up, that Spider costed millions of dollars and has been everyone life for the past few months.
"Where is the spider?'' Asked one scientist.
"I don't know! Whoever left the lift up is going to get fired no matter what!'' Said the other one.
Back with tour
The kids were having a nice time listening to the history of Oscorb. Izuku even wonder if he could get a job there, however suddenly the kid felt a bite in his hand and pretty harmful one.
"AAAAAH!'' Scream Izuku.
"Izuku what's wrong?'' Asked Mari.
"Midoriya are you ok?'' Asked the teacher.
Then they all saw why Izuku was screaming, there was a giant spider in his hand, a massive one for ordinary spiders.
"Get it off!'' Scream Izuku tossing the Spider that landed on Mari uniform.
"Oh my god! Take this off me!'' Scream Mari pushing that creature to the floor.
"Die Bug!'' Scream Bakugo making an explosion that killed the spider.
BOM
As the spider died Midoriya felt the room spinning, he even barfed on the floor and was feeling so weak at the moment.
"Midoriya! Can you hear me?'' Asked the teacher.
"Jesus Deku, it was just a spider.'' Said Bakugo.
"Izuku!'' Said Mari scarred.
"Someone call a doctor!'' Scream the teacher.
As Izuku eyes shut down he didn't realize what was happening inside his body. What was being formulated was going to be Spectacular, Sensational or even Amazing.
So yes, we are ending this chapter here, I wanted to do this way so we can get at least the spider bite. I feel that this length is good enough for the start of a new story, I want to make stories around 5 to 6 pages, only will be more if it's a big chapter event that needs to be.
I want to make this Spider Izuku story unique, and I want to be it on my way, I know there are good Spider Man Izuku fic but they all follow either the same pattern or go for some weird story idea. Like no, Izuku is not going to fight crime with an OC, and they have to get around some weird tech talk or some storyline that goes nowhere.
Look, I am not the best writer and there are unfinished story, but this is a hobby and I am not getting paid for this so who cares about that? One day I won't be around to write anymore so you will have a huge library to look out when you are bored. Ultimate Spider Man means a lot to me so I decided to do it out of my heart.
