Hello all,
Small chapter this time around, can't really do much with my inflamed thumb tendons sadly, so my writing has come to a crawl. Bearer is being worked on but I'm not going to lie, it's been getting harder and harder to get the drive to finish it. It will be finished, but don't expect it anytime soon :(
That said, hope you all enjoy this nice chapter, and the following one as it will give us some more Izu/Momo moments :)
No reviews this time around, but to answer a few things that have come up:
1. Why can't Izuku bring any of his old allies from Skyrim to Japan?
The power to do so requires the power of an Elder Scroll, which is hard enough to come by, but also to even read the damn things. Plus, we are seeing Izuku struggle with the cultural differences already, so there is that. Finally, Earth as we know it doesn't have any Magnus or any magicka really... outside of what regents Izuku brought with him in his giant trunk.
2. Izuku isn't looking for Inko! He's putzing around UA!
While Izuku's main goal is to find and reunite with his mother, currently he's unable to really do that since he's still technically a "Missing/Presumed Dead" person. There is legal paperwork that needs to be done, which can take months to do, and money as well. Thankifully this is where Nezu comes in to help in that sort of matter, plus offer the Dragonborn room and board at UA while awaiting for his status to return, but also Nezu helping to locate Inko as well. So atm, Izuku's hands are tied.

Chapter 6
Women of Culture
The elevator door slowly opened with a clunking sound, and Momo slowly moved out of it and yawned, covering her mouth as she did so while making her way toward the dormitory's shared kitchen and the coffee pot on the counter, where a bunch of her other classmates were also gathered around.
"Good morning everyone…"
Various replies from the other students filled the air, all looking just as tired as her when Kyoka offered a fresh cup of coffee to the heiress, "Here you go, Yaomomo…"
"Thank you." Momo said with a soft smile, gently bringing the cup with hot liquid and taking a small sip of it, wincing from the bitter taste of the drink, "While I normally drink tea… I doubt it would have enough caffeine to perk me up."
"Rough sleep as well?" Kirishima asked, sitting beside Mina, who had her head down in her arms on the island and looked about ready to pass out again. Momo gently nodded towards the 'hardening' student as she took another sip.
"Unfortunately, but given the circumstances, I think it's justified with what transpired last night."
"Oh, totally; I mean, first was the whole turning iron ore into silver ore bit and then into gold."
A few gazes turned towards Kaminari, who was just about to take a spoonful of his 'All-Mighty O's' cereal when he noticed the looks he was getting, "Hey! I was curious! I mean, why just stop at silver and go for gold, you know?" The blonde electric user grumbled before taking the spoonful into his mouth and, after a few bites, continued to speak, "Besides, it's not like that was more impressive than when he pulled that freaking skull of a Dragon out of the chest!"
The others around him could only sigh and nod their heads in agreement. Admittedly, turning silver to gold was an impressive feat, one of which that both Momo and Iida forbade anyone from asking Midoriya to perform again, as well as asking the green-haired man not to show off the 'spell' as he called it, or use it at all.
The economic damage those powers could do alone was enough to warrant the request.
No, what really boggled everyone's mind was the genuine and foreboding dragon skull that had been pulled out of the chest, something impossible in of itself, considering it was simply a beast of myth and legend.
Or at least it *was* of myth and legend. Simply telling the class that the dragon whose skull it belonged to was on the "smaller" side compared to other ones he had faced didn't help them or their worries.
"That being said, has anyone seen Midori-bro yet? I was hoping to see if he wanted to head to the gym and work out!" Kirishima smirked and pounded a fist into his open hand, "I dunno about the rest of you, but seeing him lift that heavy ass chest makes me want to get stronger!"
"Oooh?" Mina purred with a grin on her face while she rolled her head over in her arms to look at her 'horn buddy' with a shit-eating grin, "Do I detect a hint of jealousy that you couldn't lift said chest? While Midoriya nearly swung it over his back like it was nothing?"
The 'hardening' user merely stuck his tongue out at his best friend before chuckling softly, though the other students around him did notice a slight tinge of red on Kirishima's cheeks as he spoke, "Being jealous is not manly! Besides, with even a little of that kind of strength, it would be great for any sort of rescue and extractions I may be participating in the future!"
"That and…" Kirishima began to speak somberly, looking down towards his open right hand and then making a fist, "Maybe if I was stronger, then I could prevent things from escalating as they did at the USJ."
The room grew silent and cold from the mention of the recent event, all of them looking grim and saddened by what had transpired there. Especially Momo, as the memory of Shoda's body disintegrating before her very eyes suddenly reared its ugly head, causing the heiress to grit her teeth at her inaction at the time.
Thankfully, the original question was answered, which also brought some light back into the conversation as Sero had finished drinking some of his coffee before speaking, "I saw Midoriya go out with Iida before I came downstairs, so… about an hour?" the tape-user said as he went to the sink and rinsed out his mug, "I'd imagine they would be coming back shortly, considering it's likely he just went on Iida's 'fun runs'."
"Even on a break, that guy is never one to stay still." Kaminari spoke up next after taking another spoonful of his cereal, "Probably has something to do with his engines, no doubt."
"Eh, I can see it." Kyoka shrugged and leaned against the kitchen counter, "Wonder if the class prez invited Green for the run?"
"It's possible… given his status, he may be trying still to get a read on Midoriya's actions and motives." Momo spoke softly, her delicate fingers holding her chin, "Though I am vice president, I do wish he would have asked me to at least participate in such a discussion."
"Nah, I can see why." Kirishima said with his arms across his chest with a shark-toothed grin, "It's because he wanted to have a private talk with Midori-bro, man to man!"
The three women around the kitchen gave half-lidded looks to the 'hardening' quirk user, who was only chuckling at their expressions, "What? It's totally manly! Iida-bro is just looking out for us!"
"As pleasant of a thought that Iida is indeed looking out for our class, we are all adults here; I don't believe that-" Momo's voice died in her throat as the entrance of the dorms could be heard being opened. All those who were in the kitchen stood still in shock at the sight before them, as the three women were blushing hard, with Momo's being particularly red.
[A few moments prior]
"Thanks for inviting me on this jog, Iida," Izuku said with a huff to his voice as he and the blue-haired speedster began to slow down to a gentle walking pace as they neared the entrance of the Heights Alliance Dormitories. Turning back to give his companion a grin, Izuku spoke up once again after catching his breath, "To be honest, it's nice to be able to do something while I am waiting for whatever checks Nezu needs to make for finding my mom, but I was a little worried when you asked me as well."
"Oh?" Tenya raised an eyebrow at the comment, "I admit the timing could have been better, but it was rather late when we all went to our rooms." The class president then started to bow before Izuku, almost at a ninety-degree angle, "I apologize for asking you at such a horrendous hour, Midoriya!"
"Oh! No, no!" Izuku said with a hearty chuckle, waving his hands back and forth in front of him to try and get Iida to stop, "There's nothing to apologize for! And honestly, I was only a little worried because of past experiences where I had visitors late into the night or the first thing in the morning and asking to meet me privately is all."
As Tenya rose from his bow, his brow was perked up once again, "What sort of experiences?"
Izuku began to scratch his cheek a little, looking away a bit sheepishly, "Well… typically, they were assassins sent by a faction called the 'Dark Brotherhood'."
The speedster's brows furrowed as he heard the explanation, staring hard at Izuku, who, at this point, could feel the sudden tension in the air. His sheepish look before morphing into a more severe look, staring back at Iida. A cold breeze blew past the pair as they remained silent until Tenya spoke up again, "These assassins you mentioned, where they dealt with similarly to what happened to the Nomu villain?"
Izuku didn't answer at first, as the class president of 1-A could feel the piercing stare of emerald look him over as if sizing him up for whatever reason. Eventually, the severe look changed to a more somber smirk as Izuku spoke, "Are you asking if I killed them? The short answer is 'sometimes'; the long answer would be if I were in a hold or town, then I would try and apprehend them for the guards to take to the dungeons. Usually lead to them killing themselves to keep their knowledge and secrets, or were killed by their brethren for the same reason."
"Did you regret it?" The question rolled off of Tenya's tongue as quickly as he could run, "Did you ever once thought not to kill those that you faced in combat?"
"Of course I did!" Izuku sighed heavily and with exasperation, "Why do you make it sound like I'm some sort of blood-crazed killer?"
"You killed the Nomu within a few moments of appearing at the USJ!"
"It was an undead abomination!"
"So you claim!" Iida furiously responded and got up close to Izuku's face, who remained still and kept watching the nearly as tall man, "But until that can be proven otherwise! You killed a sentient being, and now you share the roof of not only myself but my classmates as well!"
While Tenya was looking irate towards Izuku, the Dragonborn's eyes suddenly widened with an epiphany springing into his mind from the speedster's words, "So… that's what this is about."
"Pardon?"
"You're worried I'll harm someone in the class." Izuku said with his brows furrowed and staring down Iida, "You think I have THAT little control?"
"I literally watched you destroy several city blocks and dozens of robots and two Zero-pointers today, and then you roared and caused all of Japan to quake, all the while looking, and I apologize for this, quite villainous."
Izuku was about to refute that last claim, but considering he knew how 'monstrous' his 'Dragon Aspect' shout made him look, especially since the addition of the wings.
Rubbing the bridge of his nose, Izuku sighed heavily, "OK. I can't argue that last fact, but can I ask you something, Iida?"
When the speedster nodded, Izuku rolled his shoulders before looking towards Tenya, "Let me give you a scenario: You find yourself facing off against a small band of bandits out in the middle of the road; you are at least two days away from the closest town or hold. You are alone, and the only thing you have to defend yourself is a single sword you are holding."
Staring directly into Iida's eyes with a cold look, Izuku continued, "These bandits, both men and women, will kill you just to get whatever gold or equipment you have on your person. They have you surrounded with bows and swords, and there is no way to escape… tell me, Iida, what would you do?"
The air grew thick once again as Izuku watched the other man begin to run the scenario through his head, Tenya rubbing his chin in deep thought before looking back up to Izuku, "Well, I would first subdue the villains first-"
"As in knocking them out?" Izuku sighed and shook his head gently, "You'd be dead before you even got to the second person."
"You can't possibly know-"
"I do know because that was usually my daily life while I was traveling across Skyrim." Izuku interrupted Tenya again, who looked stunned at the response he had been given while he was going to explain his plan of attack for the scenario provided, "Iida, I'll be blunt with you: I know I can't react to situations like I did in Skyrim, I know I cannot kill…"
Suddenly, Izuku got right up into Tenya's face, the emerald gaze of the Dragonborn piercing his vision, "But I know when to make that call because I had to do it so many times in Skyrim just to survive and make it back home in one piece."
Iida was silent, his frown returning as he locked his gaze with Izuku's, "Heroes do not kill people."
"In Japan, sure…" Izuku lamented softly and broke the staring contest, making his way up the steps of the dormitory before looking back to Tenya, "But in Skyrim, it can take a mountain of bodies and an ocean of blood before anyone considers someone a 'hero', and for every day that I am alive, I'm trying to atone for my mountain."
Tenya was stunned by the look now being leveled at him by his new classmate. While before, the speedster could see a brightness or fire within the emerald gaze of Midoriya, but now? The 'fire' seemed to have dimmed quite a lot, and there was a sort of tired or 'worn out' look to them, which looked odd on a similarly aged person such as Midoriya.
Admittedly, Tenya had seen this before, considering his heroic lineage and how his parents and grandparents would share a similar 'world-worn' look after their retirement. Even his elder brother Tensei, who was often more upbeat than himself, Tenya would admit, had started to show similar looks after challenging missions he had returned from when Tenya was still in middle school.
As Izuku slowly turned around and headed into the building, Tenya was still thinking about what was said to him before snapping out of his thoughts when he finally noticed that the lights to the kitchen area were on, meaning more of his classmates were up at this very early hour.
And in Midoriya's current state of dress, the class president of 1-A knew it was his duty to settle any issues that may arise amongst his peers, especially with those who apparently had no sense of shame.
"Oh! Morning everyone!" Izuku said with a bright smile as he strode towards the kitchen area where the small group of his classmates were surrounding the kitchen island. Izuku hadn't taken notice of their very visible staring as he strode past them towards the fridge.
His bare torso had a light sheen of moisture across his skin and small curls of his green hair sticking to his forehead and parts of his shoulders and neck. The furred leather bound skirt he was wearing, held up by an embossed metal buckle and bare leather belt strap, hid most of his waist and upper legs from their view, but his muscular calves were barely peeking out of the furred hide boots clinging tightly to him. At this point, Izuku had reached for the fridge door and opened it, a shiver running across his body as he felt the cold air hit his kin, and peered into the 'ice box' before him before poking his head back out and looking towards the small group, "These water bottles are for everyone, right?"
"H-Huh? Oh yeah! Sure, go ahead, Midori-bro!" Kirishima had broken out of his shock first because of the question. Midoriya gave him a gentle nod and took out one of the bottles, opening it once he had closed the door to the refrigerator and began to chug it slowly.
Kaminari and Sero were the next to come out of their stupor, with the electric user moving away to finish off his cereal and rinse the bowl and utensils and Izuku moving to take his place, though he kept standing as Sero leaned on the countertop of the island "So, good run then?"
"Mmph." Izuku grunted low as he finished swallowing the water, pulling back the now three-quarter empty bottle as he smiled at Sero, "Oh, definitely… much more relaxing than what I'm used to."
"Guessing it wasn't a good time back at that other place?"
"I mean… for the most part?" Izuku chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his head, "It was pretty safe on the roads outside of the strongholds and towns, but being almost turned into a quick meal by either the wolves, sabercats, or bears was commonplace."
"Oh my…" Momo breathed out gently, getting the attention of Kyoka, who at this point snapped out of her stupor and was now turning her gaze over to the heiress sitting beside her, whose cheeks were a bright shade of red and kept staring hard at the man before her.
"That must have been rough." Mina said with a gentle coo, her head resting in her hand and her golden irises traveling up and down Izuku's body, gently biting her lower lip when the Dragonborn had finished the bottle of water with a satisfying and heavy sigh of relief.
"It wasn't all bad; at least I could give the furs to the locals." Izuku shrugged as he looked about the kitchen and, upon finding it, went to place the empty bottle into the proper receptacle that Iida had shown him the previous night.
It was at this point that Iida made his way back into the building. Seeing the small group in the kitchen, he quickly made his way towards them and started to bow down to them. "My apologies! Had I considered our run would take as long as it did, I would have asked Midoriya to dress more appropriately."
"But I don't have anything else?" Izuku said with a raised eyebrow.
"What about that tracksuit they gave you yesterday?" Kaminari asked as he placed his dishes in the dishwasher. He then turned and leaned against the counter with his arms crossed over his chest.
"I mean… yes, I do have that, but that's the only clothing I have outside of my various pieces of armor." Izuku looked down at his furred hide skirt and boots for a moment, "This is probably the lightest stuff I got to run around in."
"Hold up. That tracksuit is the only piece of modern clothing you have?" Sero commented with a raised brow, "Dude, we need to get you some new threads."
"I concur," Tenya spoke up, his arm waving robotically, "While I can understand your limited clothing options when you told me prior to our workout, as a student here at UA, you *need* to have proper attire."
"I guess…" Izuku rubbed his rough chin, "I'll have to talk to Nezu and see what can be done, considering my current 'status' isn't fully reinstated yet… that and money, since I haven't been able to convert my Septims."
"I'm sure the Dean already has taken the appropriate measures for a predicament such as this, but first, we should go and shower before we see him!" Iida said with a raised finger, making Izuku snap out of his thoughts as the class president of 1-A took charge and looked towards Kirishima, "Kirishima, would you be able to provide Midoriya with some clothes temporarily, as you both have similar builds?"
"Sure thing, Iida-bro!" The 'hardening' student smiled and gave him a thumbs up before turning to Kaminari and Sero, "C'mon guys, I could use some help with this."
"What? Why do-oof!" Kaminari was about to object when he suddenly got elbowed in the gut by Sero. When the blonde was about to protest against the sudden hit, he noticed the mischievous smirk the tape user had on his face, which Kaminari caught on to snickered himself, "Oh sure, Kirishima! Wait for us!"
Kyoka sighed heavily as she watched 'Tweedle Dee and Dumb' scampering off and snickering while going to follow Kirishima to the boy's side of the dorms. Her attention went back to Iida, who was bowing towards her and the two other women present, who at this point had snapped out of their little 'state' because of the gesture, "Once again, my apologies for any discomfort."
"'Discomfort/Discomfort'?" Mina, Momo, and Izuku voices questioned aloud, with Kyoka rolling her eyes at the three's unsurprising reaction while Iida raised back to his full height, staring hard at Izuku.
"Of course, parading around in the nude in front of our female classmates outside of regulation costumes is unbecoming of a UA hero student!"
The unimpressed looks coming from not only Izuku but also the women in the room made Iida wince slightly before everyone's attention went to the green-haired shirtless man who sighed heavily, "But I'm not 'running around' naked, Iida, I am wearing an under cloth after all."
Silence filled the room again after that proclamation. Kyoka blushed, covering her face and internally groaning at how dense the newcomer to their class was, while Mina's golden eyes swiftly shot down towards the lower half of Midoriya's body and let her imagination run wild as she bit her lower lip. Momo's cheeks also turned a bright rose color from Izuku's statement, but her focus was on Iida for his reaction as her time with him as Vice Class Representative had shown her that few things could cause him to stumble in his reprimanding of troublesome students.
But now? Momo was witnessing what looked like a stunned Iida trying to find a way to explain to Izuku that while what he was technically correct was what he stated that he was wearing an 'under cloth', which the heiress assumed to be something similar to underwear back in that other world. But, of course, Momo knew what Iida had meant, and just as she was about to do her duty and (reluctantly) assist in aiding Iida, the class president finally got his thoughts together and pushed up his glasses as he spoke, "I didn't mean that, Midoriya… I meant your lack of a shirt while we are in a public setting."
"Wait, what?" Izuku's eyes widened as he spoke, "You mean it's not alright to be shirtless amongst comrades?" The Dragonborn then turned towards the three women as if asking for any clarification but was only given back blank stares at the rather odd question when Iida spoke up again and caught Izuku's attention.
"Midoriya, who in the world told you that?"
Rubbing the back of his head, Izuku chuckled slightly, "Well, Ria and Njada, my shield-sisters of the Companions, had said that it's best to practice while shirtless, as well as doing some of the chores around Jorrvaskr as well. They said it would help and keep my body cool while I worked and trained."
Not noticing the unamused look coming from Kyoka, while Mina and Momo silently prayed a thank you to these 'shield-sisters', Izuku continued to speak, "I even asked my shield-brother, Farkas, about it, and he thought it was a good idea, heck, he even started to do it as well."
Izuku watched as Iida took off his glasses and began to rub the bridge of his nose, making the Dragonborn chuckle a little, "Heh, Vilkas did the same thing when I explained it to him."
"Midoriya…" Tenya finally spoke after a long silence and placing his glasses back on, "Please, just follow me to the showers, and you can explain to me any other sort of 'advice' given to you while you lived in that land, and I would be happy to assist in explaining the 'cultural' differences between Japan and there, so something like this misunderstanding doesn't happen again."
"Oh, sure!" Izuku beamed a smile before turning towards the three women and bowing his head slightly, "I'm sorry about all this."
"Oh no! No trouble at all!" Mina spoke up with a predatory smile on her lips, "In fact, I think you should keep doing it."
"Ashido!" Iida explained with his arm chopping the air robotically, making the pink-skinned woman stick her tongue out at the class president. Izuku chuckled gently at the light-hearted camaraderie between the two before Iida grabbed him by his shoulder and began to usher him out of the room and into the elevators to the men's side.
"Really, Mina?" Kyoka asked with a heavy sigh and leveled a heavy glare at her classmate, whose only response was to shrug her shoulders.
"What? If it is what makes him comfortable and feel at home, then he should be able to do it." A mischievous smirk crossed her lips as she licked them, "Plus, you can't say that the view wasn't bad."
Seeing the punk rocker turn her head and the hint of a deep blush on her cheeks made Mina giggle as Kyoka got up from her seat, "Whatever, I need to get myself ready for the day."
"Yeah, I should probably go and freshen up as well…" The alien woman gently cooed as she got off of her chair, looking back at Momo, who was still sitting. "You coming, Yaomomo?"
"Hmm?" the heiress blinked as if she was coming out of deep thought, looking towards Mina, "I'll be up in a bit; I'm just going to finish my coffee."
"Sure thing! See you later!" Mina said with a big smile before turning and making a dash towards the elevator to catch it before it closed on her.
Now alone, Momo slowly finished her lukewarm coffee, placing the cup onto the island and staring down into the empty cup. Her thoughts went back to what Izuku had mentioned before, what with his lack of attire that would be 'normal' in their society and the trouble of not being able to pay for any of it currently and having to go to Nezu for assistance.
Suddenly, an idea popped into her mind, one she felt would be perfect to help prevent the Dragonborn from being overwhelmed with all the cultural differences but also allow her to properly assist in her gratitude for Midoriya saving her life back at the USJ. Admittedly, Momo knew that he only did it because it was the 'right thing to do', given he told her that the first night they spoke. But she still felt she had to reward him somehow, and honestly, this was the perfect time to do so.
After putting her cup into the sink and filling it with warm water for her to wash after, Momo made her way to the elevators to quickly make herself look a little more presentable and see Nezu before Midoriya.
However, she would also need to make a few phone calls first.
