Tatsuya Shiba, older brother and Guardian of one Miyuki Shiba, laid to rest with the end of the failed invasion directed by the GAA being his to take as credit.

He never got to take said rest, unfortunately.

He was suddenly in a space not unlike a bedroom from the early 2000's. At his side was Miyuki, who was thankfully(?) in her nightwear. That said, Tatsuya wasn't one to take risks without cause, and decided that since they were together, they might as well take stock.

Not a good sign was the fact that his Elemental Sight worked about as well as normal magic for him. That raised the danger levels to new levels, but he relaxed when a welcoming presence made itself known, its aura showing no harm whatsoever.

"Welcome, Tatsuya and Miyuki, to my residence. I am known by many names, which includes idiot or fool, but you may call me Seiichi." Tatsuya was instantly wary of this presence and proceeded to turn to where the voice came from, only to come face to face with… a dragon, for lack of a more appropriate term.

It had jet-black scales covering its whole body. Its sides and wings have small light patches in a pattern similar to that of a manta ray. It possesses two sets of wings- one main pair and one smaller pair near the base of its tail. The first pair possibly allows it to do a vertical take-off. Behind that is a set of smaller wings that could've mainly aided in its gliding. At the end of its tail, it has two natural tail fins that probably aided in steering and stability.

Its eyes are bright green, sometimes acid or emerald-green. They are located very near the front of its face giving it excellent depth perception and reflexes in flight.

So why was a dragon calling out to the two of them?

That was Tatsuya's first thought on seeing it- "Hey! I'm a male, dammit!". OK the cute-ish dragon is also a bit defensive about its gender and can read minds.

"Of course I can read your minds, I'm a dimension hopping observer! You would call beings like me gods, but I personally don't like that term myself, so there!" Where there was doubt about the dimension-hopping part, there was also disbelief that beings like Seiichi were even called godly.

"Haa… I give up… Anyway, I'm here to talk to you two about something important. Tatsuya, Listening to what I have to say could help you protect Miyuki better. Miyuki, your brother could potentially become even more powerful than he already is…"

Miyuki immediately piped up, saying "Anything that can make Onii-sama greater than he already is going to be listened to properly! We will hear you out." Tatsuya could only sigh at this… he has already reached his limit.

"So, what you're suggesting is that I need to think about trying to achieve my true potential… How, exactly, would I go about doing that?" Tatsuya was a tad… make that very confused. Apparently, the dragon in front of them, along with millions of others, had the ability to observe multiple universes, and their branches. This one took an abnormal interest in the way their universe was unfolding, and so decided to intervene, by improving Tatsuya. It beggared disbelief, but were forced to concede that he was speaking the truth when he rattled off the location of multiple hideouts of the Yotsuba, and named every candidate for headship of the Yotsuba when Maya steps down- with their specialized magic.

"See, the Yotsuba were somewhat right in limiting your emotions- you're too strong and too much of a loose cannon if you did have emotions- but they didn't think things through in regards to your magic… I mean, you have the ultimate superpowers, but did anyone think about how it works?" Seiichi rhetorically asked.

"It doesn't even make sense how you managed to live so long with that high IQ of yours- 300+ isn't a number to scoff at- yet not make the obvious leap in your abilities…" Seiichi shook his head. "Dammit, I don't wanna tell you just yet, but your magic is potent enough that the right magic can help you restore Maya to her peak condition and her ability to reproduce, if applied right…"

THAT shook the siblings… "Oba-ue… can have her pride restored? With Onii-sama's magic?" Miyuki voiced for the couple… well they're heading that way anyway. Tatsuya was shocked enough that he just had to stare.

Seiichi nodded. "Of course, I can't just have you two get all the answers immediately, so I want you to think about this conversation… In order to do so, without letting my existence slip, I'm gonna have to ask you to forget that I'm here and let me influence your minds a bit… You'll just think this was a dream, but I'll nudge you two in the right direction… Think of your mother's magic as well…" The dragon left as the world faded around them…

Almost three years later…

Tatsuya hugged Miyuki as they laid together again… It had been almost 3 years since that strange dream… Tatsuya had improved drastically as a Magic Engineer… His Loop Cast CADs were popular, but his understanding of magic and his own superpowers gave him more insight into his abilities. He still didn't understand why, but he had, first thing when they awoke the next day, recorded his mother, Miya's Eidos data and Magic Calculation Area in his memory, feeling it was important. More importantly, Miyuki and Tatsuya both received permission from Maya to learn everything about ninjutsu from Tatsuya's master, Yakumo Kokonoe.

The siblings also managed to somehow admit their love for each other, which made things more harmonious within the house… with their father just a part of the Yotsuba in name only- he married his mistress not 10 months into Miya's death. They preferred to live by themselves, and Maya, strangely enough accepted that it was for the better. They hadn't progressed much beyond kissing, but kept the relationship to themselves.

It allowed Miyuki to expand her horizons… and prove that she was equally as good as her brother in Magic Engineering, though she didn't really work for FLT except as an assistant-cum-protege protégé to Taurus Silver, by her own request. She also grew more proficient in magical combat, and could spar evenly against her lover-cum-brother for a long time, which helped reduce her weakness in that department. It got to the point where she was asked to join the JSDF as a part of the 101st Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion, but she refused on the grounds that Maya wouldn't agree. She could, however, join in on missions and training, since she wished to experience what Tatsuya had to. With the training she endured, she excelled in both capacities, and is considered an unofficial Special Officer these days. Tatsuya, was of course an official Special Officer, but under the name Ryuuya Ooguro.

Tatsuya, on the other hand, managed to figure out what that dream meant by full potential… His Regrowth and Elemental Sight combined allowed him an outrageous 'superpower'. He wasn't sure if he should use it though, it being what it is. He hadn't told Miyuki, since she would want him to use it, but he had told her that it was dangerous and he was going to tell Maya about it during Summer of 2095 at the earliest.

Blanche was a headache neither of them wanted to deal with, but they were too brazen and managed to make Tatsuya's Guardian side step out more…Of course, Miyuki could deal with the low-level grunts without any issues, or killing them with Niflheim. They had laid together to calm each other down, lest they rampage again, and risk getting in trouble at First High.

Only for their memories to return, and to meet the dragon again, in that subspace. Seiichi still had that damnable grin on his face.

"So, how have the two of you be- Oh… I see how it is…" he grinned further on seeing Tatsuya and Miyuki smiling while holding hands. "Anyway, I've seen your memories just now, and good job, Tatsuya! You figured it out! And don't worry about the consequences- YOU come under threat due to that hesitation of yours- still not allowed to tell you details about the future… Anyway, just go ahead and use it already!"

"I would, but are you sure that it's the right idea? Also, what about Miyuki?" Tatsuya asked… only to be smacked on the head by a tail. "It works on others as well… Make some allies and become stronger already, man!" Tatsuya swore the cute dragon was a hellion in a different world.

"Miyuki, would you allow me to take data about your MCA into mine?" This, to Miyuki, was a foolish question. "My everything is yours, Onii-sama! You NEVER have to ask me for anything!" she passionately exclaimed, even though she was confused on what he meant by his words, she still was willing.

Tatsuya then proceeded to use his last 'superpower'. He first used Elemental Sight to find Miyuki's MCA Eidos Data. He then replicated it in his mind and used Regrowth to essentially 'edit' the replicated Eidos Data into his brain. It did hurt, but at this point, after so many auto-repairs and so many times he used Regrowth, that pain was normal. When he was done, he found it easy to cast normal magic without a CAD… having committed all Magic Sequences to memory, again, though not just due to Seiichi's influence, he could use Flash Cast on all the magic Miyuki could use.

Miyuki, on seeing this, immediately connected all the dots… and proceeded to draw him into a makeout session in celebration.

"A-HEM!" until it was interrupted by the , remembering what he said, proceeded to do the same to Miyuki, and also held her softly while she writhed in pain for a few seconds… When the pain ended, she found she could do the same magic as him… and that they now both restrained each other… Using 25% of each other's Psions to suppress the other's Psion count to about 75% of the others, meant that they both had more than half of their Psion count available for use, and their control was at its extreme. This was a side effect of sharing each others' MCAs with each other.

"Why did you make me take Mother's Eidos Data and Magic?" Tatsuya asked, seeing as he didn't think it was important. Seiichi immediately debunked that, saying "Dude, you can view memories with her magic, and the Eidos Data of those memories… What did I say about Maya when we last met?" Their eyes widened at that.

Tatsuya immediately absorbed Miya's MCA as well, and while there was no Psion count improvement (not that they needed it), he got experienced with her Mind Control magic, as she dubbed it. It was clear that the experience with the magic was also transferred.

Tatsuya had officially reached his full (for now) potential. What was he going to do now?

"Oh, yeah… this is going to have some consequences in your love life, so maybe you wanna listen to that now?" That stopped them short- no one wants to hear those words in front of their significant other.

"WHAT CONSEQUENCES!?" Miyuki bellowed out with a glare, immediately furious. Tatsuya showed his 'Demon Face', in support of his lover. Seiichi chuckled in response… and the reason was explained in the next few seconds.

"Well, you two aren't gonna be separated… I can guarantee that at least. What's gonna happen though, is that your 'anchor' count is going to increase. About 10 'anchors' including Miyuki, I believe… This is mainly because you both need the balance in your emotions and they will help maintain it. Who they are is honestly up to your combined minds, really. I wouldn't even begin to guess, except for two of them, due to how close they are to you- Kyoko Fujibayashi and Maya Yotsuba I'm 90% sure are going to be 'anchors' for you."

Silence.

That was all.

Miyuki fainted from the shock. Tatsuya contemplated the ramifications of potentially being a polygamist (he was straight, thank you very much). Seiichi stood there just grinning at the mental gymnastics both of them were going through. He couldn't wait for them to let the fireworks loose… In fact, he might give them ideas…

"Well, you could adopt Mizuki as your sister, that way you can take one of your friends out of the equation- matter of fact, I'm sensing she's meant for another. This strength… These two might actually be meant for each other as much as you two are, so definitely do that. Maybe the Yotsuba could make an alliance with a clan of Ancient Magicians… Yoshida sounds good, so does Kokonoe…

"Anyway, that's all from me, I won't be making any more changes after today, though I will come to help you convince Maya about this entire debacle. Show off your new magical skills, Tatsuya, there have been cases where someone's magical prowess drastically improved after a life-threatening experience… You can pull that with some research… It actually was supposed to be that way for you, but you don't have nearly enough emotion to allow that due to the Yotsuba's desperation.…"

With that, the dragon cutie disappeared, leaving Tatsuya and Miyuki to ponder what they learnt after being returned to their house. An astral experience unlike any other, this would change everything, and the siblings were smart enough to know that.

OK, I'm getting out of hand with all the new fics I'm putting up, but this one's fortunately more than just a fic or oneshot. I know that some of you lot who read my stuff also publish fanfiction. With that in mind, I have a challenge to dish out. Here are most of the the parameters.

a) Tatsuya should have multiple romantic partners. This, as shown in my rendition of my own challenge, is for more of a practical reason- to hold himself back. the count is up to you.

b) His abilities- You'll notice that I've made him capable of normal magic as well. I'm making it absolutely clear that this cannot be something he is born with. My way is is a headcanon theory I have. You can do it whichever way you want. Miyuki is the only one he shares his abilities with

c) Your choice in pairings- The only ones I must insist on are Mizuki/Mikihiko, and Tatsuya/Miyuki/Maya. The rest are your choice.

d) Miya MUST die. I don't care if you decide to resurrect her later, but this is the trigger that makes Tatsuya become stronger, and make Miyuki stronger.

e) Disregard canon whenever you want. Fuck it if you must, but Edward Clark must die at Tatsuya's hands.
