Danny snapped out of his trance and quickly pushed his teammates out of the way of the fire.

The figure landed on the ground and dashed towards the Newyorkers, shooting a burst of fire from his back to increase his speed. He would have demolished them if Danny had not used his powers to stop and throw him into some soldiers on the other side of the warehouse.

"You guys take the soldiers and the rhino, I'll take this new guy," Danny stated harshly

"Are you crazy there's no way you're beating him," Kate replied

"Just go, I know what I'm doing," Danny said, speeding away before the others could stop him.

He stopped in his tracks, face to face with the figure who was indeed subject 2 who he had seen last night.

"You're faster than I remember," Subject 2 said smirking

"So are you," Danny replied, clenching his fist that was sparking with blue energy.

The two soldiers charged at each other, using their respective heat and energy to propel themselves forward. The opponents crashed into each other, with Subject 2 obtaining the upper hand. He continued to blast forward, whilst maintaining a tackled position with Danny and gained a little altitude before crashing back down to the ground, using his opponent as a shield.

"Get off of me," Dany groaned, pushing his opponent off him, rising back onto his feet using a kip up, with his assailant mirroring his move.
The two readjusted themselves, returning to their near identical combat positions, before switching on their powers. Each of their forearms was engulfed in their respective blue energy and fire.

Subject 2 launched a short beam of fire at Danny, which he shielded with his energy-enhanced arms, causing the beam to flutter out into a sort of wall. Subject 2 emerged from the flames, and swooped down, ready to attack. Danny hastily threw his head back and fell to his knees, sliding across the floor, barely evading the meteor that subject 2 had become. The sapphire speedster spun back onto his legs and maintained his momentum, jumping into an aerial with his foot connecting to his assailant's face.

They started brawling, but they were matched hit for hit, perfectly in sync. Each of them knew what the other was gonna do and how to counter it. Danny managed to get a hit in and with his opponent off balance, he performed a perfect tornado kick, which subject 2 was able to dodge. Danny sent a front kick towards Subject 2 which was blocked, sending Danny's right foot back to the ground. This put Danny out of phase for just a fraction of a second before both he and Subject 2 sent their own respective roundhouse kicks at each other. Their two legs collided in mid-air, and it seemed to be an endurance match but Danny broke it up, jumping into a front leg hook kick that shot into Subject 2's face. The two legs separated and Danny dive-rolled back onto his legs, whilst Subject 2 flipped and landed in the 'superhero pose'.

From Danny's perspective, it looked like hand-to-hand combat wasn't enough. They were equally matched. He needed a weapon.

He took a split second to search around him and saw a group of metal chains resting against a large wooden crate. He dashed over towards them, and grabbed two chains, leaping into the air before a fireball missed him and hit the wooden crate. Danny moved the bundle of chains under his left left arm, and rotated his right arm at superspeed, creating a vortex that successfully put out the young fire.

Danny landed back on his feet, quickly took the ends of both chains, wrapped them around his wrists a few times and strongly grasped onto the rest, holding the chains like whips.

Subject 2 looked at him confused before Danny spun into another aerial, and the end of one of the chains slashed Subject 2 in the shoulder as he dodged a second too late. He grimaced before jumping up to avoid a chain that Danny had sent at his feet in an attempt to trip him.

Danny sent his right chain, which his opponent caught with his left and wrapped it around his own wrist. Danny sent his left chain, which Subject 2 caught with his other hand and began to reel in his target. When they were just three or four feet apart, Danny did something unexpected. He pulled his legs up off the ground, tucking them against his chest, and kicked forward. Subject 2 fell back onto his knees and Danny fell into a kip-up with his chains dragging on the floor. He sent both chains at the kneeling subject 2 but he caught them both with one hand.

"Enough!" The blazing soldier yelled, as an orange flame grew in his hand and his skin had become an almost translucent orange.

Even on the other end of the chain, Danny felt the heat and was scrambling to unwrap the chains. Moments later. The chains dropped to the ground, with their tips bright orange and a lot shorter than they were before. Subject 2 opened his hand, and molten metal dripped out and pooled onto the floor.

"Fuck," Danny thought to himself, watching the silver liquid flow.

Subject 2 lunged forward, as Danny sent a kick to his head but his opponent ducked to his knees and slid below him.

Danny peered down, but it was too late. A blitzkrieg of fire erupted from his adversary's hands, blasting him up into the air. Subject 2 hovered up into the air slightly above Danny, and started forming a fresh fireball. Danny immediately got a very stupid idea, but at the moment it didn't look like he had much choice.

He quickly formed his dodecahedron and fired it at the wall directly opposite him. It ricocheted off the wall and collided with Danny's stomach, barely pushing him out of the hotheads' line of fire. Unfortunately, this sent him on a trajectory that would result in a collision with an 8ft tall metallic armour. Danny dissipated his construct in an attempt to slow himself down, but it was futile. He collided with the armour, and thanks to the extra thrust he had accidentally given himself, the collision sent them both straight through the nearest brick wall along with his teammates.

The Newyorkers and their two opponents stumbled onto the outside ground and took a minute to readjust to the new situation.

"Owwwww," Danny groaned, pushing himself off the ground.

"You imbecile!" The Rhino yelled in frustration. His frankly comical Russian accent was amplified by his armour.

He growled loudly and started aimlessly powering through the streets of New York.

"Surge, crowd control!" Peter yelled, webbing himself up onto the Rhino's shoulders

Danny glanced over at the now-standing Subject 2 before speeding off ahead of the Rhino.

"Get back here you traitor!" The hothead yelled, rocketing into the air and soaring in Danny's direction.

Whilst Peter, Shuri and Kate tried to stop the giant armour, Danny and Wanda worked on moving pedestrians and vehicles alike out of the rhino's rampage. Danny however was simultaneously dodging attacks from his flying adversary. One of Subject 2's fireballs missed Danny but was rocketing towards an unsuspecting woman. Danny raced towards her, moving her safely out of the line of fire.

"Are you okay ma'am?" Danny asked the woman who was staring at him like she'd seen a ghost.

"Yeah, are- are you that guy from Sokovia?" She asked him, and Danny understood her confusion.

"No, but I get that a lot," The speedster replied and sent a discrete signal to subject 2. He nodded and continued his Barrage of fireballs, making sure they went nowhere near any civilians.

At one point, the Rhino was on course with a tanker truck which was, unfortunately, carrying highly flammable cargo. It took all of the Newyorkers might to push the Rhino out of the way, causing them all to stumble into a decomposing parking lot.

With all the heroes in basically the same spot, Subject 2 started charging up for a new attack, but Danny was already in mid-air preparing for a spin kick. He sent his leg flying towards the hothead, but it was easily dodged. Subject 2's arms became engulfed in flames and he leapt into the air spinning around like a Beyblade for a few moments before his fist came crashing down onto Danny's chest, violently planting him onto the ground. Danny groaned in pain but got back onto his feet.

"Where did that come from?" The speedster exclaimed, grabbing onto his shoulder.

"If you'd stayed a little while longer, you would have known about all my new tricks," Subject 2 replied, lunging at his former roommate.

Instead of dodging, however, Danny stood his ground, as Subject 2's fists thrust into his palms, starting yet another endurance match. Subject 2 pushed forward, using fire from his back as thrust, whilst Danny planted his foot in the small craters that had now formed under his feet. This went on for a few moments before something odd started happening. Through the small area of Subject 2's face that was uncovered, his usually amber-coloured eyes started glowing a fiery orange. The glow continued to increase in intensity until Danny finally had a pulling feeling in his gut and threw his head backwards. Two small blazing beams of fire blasted out of Subject 2's eyes, right where Danny's head had been just a few seconds ago.

Danny pushed away just as the beams stopped, and looked at his opponent with a look of pure shock and dismay. His opponent looked back apologetically before putting his game face back on.

The two soldiers raced towards each other for another standoff, when a large metallic arm slammed into them, sending them both flying. It was the Rhino, aimlessly flaming his arms after Peter had successfully covered the armour's faceplate in a thick layer of webs.

"Surge!" Kate yelled, mounted on the Rhino's shoulders with Peter.

"Use the ball thing!" She added

Danny instantly knew what she was talking about. He put his hands together and a familiar, small dodecahedron formed in his palms and massively grew in size, pushing his hands apart. It continued to grow until it was about the size of a basketball. He launched it at the floor at an angle, where it rebounded, crashing into the Rhino's torso, pushing him into a disintegrating car behind him and keeping him there.

With the Mechanical armour held in place, Shuri fired her blasts at his neck, rendering the vibranium in the armour useless. Wanda fired a hex wave, and Kate finished the job with an arrow to its power supply which was stupidly in the same spot as the last armour. The chest area of the armour started hissing, signifying that the pilot wanted to exit, but it seemed like the hatch was jammed.

With the Rhino out of commission, the team focused their attention on subject 2 who was struggling to stand up. The now out-of-breath speedster recalled his construct, shrunk it back down to its usual size and launched it towards subject 2, sending the soldier back to the ground.

Shuri took off her bracelets and put them around Subject 2's wrist, with the nanites forming two cylinders around his forearm.

"A.V.A., call law enforcement and send us the E.S.J," Peter commanded, and in a matter of minutes, both tasks had been completed.

The Neyworkers exchanged the situation with the police, minus a few details and were ready to hand the Rhino and subject 2 over.

"Wait," Danny said catching his teammate's attention.

"Not him," He added

"Why not, Wanda asked suspiciously.

"We need to question him. Well realistically, we should question both of them but the Rhino's not gonna fit in the jet," Danny ranted, whilst Subject 2 simply smirked discreetly under his mask

"Alright," Peter replied, lightly shoving Subject 2's shoulder in the direction of the parking lot exit.

The 5 Newyorkers hastily made their way to their jet, subconsciously avoiding the camera flashes and the fast-approaching news reporters and took off towards the mansion.

"Wait, something's wrong," Shuri announced, looking up from her Kimoyo beads.

"What?" Wanda asked.

"I sent those Vibranium trucks to the house, but my GPS says there upstate at Avengers campus,"

"Then I guess we're going to Avengers Campus," Peter resorted.
