"Okay what is going on here," Sam spoke up for everyone who, except the Newyorkers, still had their respective weapons or attacks pointed at Alex.

"Guys relax, Alex is seriously on our side,"

"Explain," Bucky, ordered sternly

"Alex is from the same base I was in. We grew up together, he's basically my brother and he has the same goal as me," Danny explained.

"And that is?" Bruce asked

"To take down Hydra, for good," Alex responded

"Give us one good reason why we shouldn't lock both our asses in a cell," Rhodey spurted out.

Alex reached his hands into his belt before saying. " Cause I have this," showing the room a flash drive between his fingers, causing the Avengers to slightly lower their weapons.

A few moments later, Alex and Danny stood at the head of the holo table, sifting through the files on Alex's drive. They finally found what they were looking for, and opened the file projecting a mugshot of a woman with black and green hair who looked to be in her late 30s.

"This is the woman that you got from that CCTV camera. She's had many aliases and currently, she's going by Ophelia Sarkissian but for convenience people usually call her Madam Hydra. I couldn't find much else on her except that she became Hydra's main head in 2014," Alex started

"Most of what I could get was what about me and Danny, like this," Alex finished, pulling up a report.

"It's a document of every experiment, test, and enhancement that was done on us," The soldier said, pushing the file forwards so the holographic pages spread across the table.

"If you guys were at the same base, then why didn't you leave at the same time?" Monica asked.

"It's not that simple," Danny replied

"Make it simple," Bucky said

"We both want to stop Hydra, but we didn't have the clearance to do so from the inside," Danny started

"So we came up with a plan. We knew that some kind of organisation was investigating the facility, so one of us would leave and help start an investigation," Alex said, confirming what Danny had told Monica when he first came to Sword.

"Whilst the other one stayed, and gathered as much intel as they could," Danny finished.

"If Hydra only has two of you and one had already escaped, how did you know that they wouldn't just lock you up," Pepper addressed to Alex

"On paper, I'm more powerful than Danny, which is why I had to stay. Hydra was eventually gonna send me out in the field to try and retrieve Danny,"

"And that brawl that you guys had?" Kate asked

"It was planned out, but it had to look realistic to both sides, so that's why I didn't tell you guys about Alex and why I fought him alone," Said Danny.

"You've never mentioned this Ophelia person," Monica addressed to Danny.

"Yeah, she's not exactly someone I like talking about," Danny said, rubbing the back of his head and pushing back repressed memories that were threatening to resurface.

"Everything that ever happened to us at Hydra for better or for worse was done under her orders," Alex added, showing signs of discomfort on the subject.

The table went silent for what felt like a long time until someone broke the silence.

"I think we should give him a polygraph," Hill suggested

"I can trick a lie detector test," Alex replied truthfully.

"Not this one," Fury stated

"Name?" Maria Hill asked the soldier in the seat opposite of her whilst monitoring the main light source in the room. A screen that monitored galvanic skin response, oxygen consumption, microexpressions, biofeedback, brainwaves, pupil dilation, voice biometrics and a whole lot more.

"Alexander," Alex replied

"Date of birth?" Hill asked

"Sometime in 2002," Alex responded

"Age?"

"17 I think?"

"Okay let's get straight to the point, what are you doing here," Hill asked coldly

"I'm here to help take down Hydra," Alex replied

"S.H.I.E.L.D. has managed just fine so far, so what exactly can you contribute?" Hill asked with the same cold

"I don't know much about Shield, but Hydra's been around since WWII. I'm guessing that the reason you haven't beaten them yet is that they're always one step ahead of you," Alex started, leaning forward slightly in his chair.

"To be honest, most of what I can contribute to your fight is firepower, but aside from everything on that drive, I can tell you this. Hydra is looking for people with powers," Alex revealed, pun completely intended

"Yeah, it's been their motto for years," Hill replied unimpressed

"No, not just any powered people. People who are born with powers. Natural powers. I almost got caught getting this info, but they started with a race called the Inhumans a decade ago," Alex rambled, twisting his wrist in the cuffs and Hill was taken aback.

"How do you know about that?" She asked as the Inhumans were confidential to anyone under level 8 Shield clearance

"Like I just said, I almost got caught getting this intel. The reason they gave up on the Inhumans was that they were too hard to track and there weren't many of them. Less than 0.0001% of the population. Plus their entire race mysteriously went missing just after they started popping up.," Alex explained, shifting his arms slightly, and displaying a face of slight discomfort

"And this Ophelia you talked about, where does she come into play?" Hill asked, glancing down at the monitor

"She's the line that connects all the dots. The story circulating is that she's been obsessed with natural powers for 20 years after she got a vision during a seizure. She was in perfect health, so no one knows where the seizure came from, but after she took over the organisation she moved their goal to natural superpowers," Alex finished

Hill glanced back at the monitor puzzled. Alex definitely knew things that he shouldn't have, and he had given her some insight into what exactly Hydra was trying to do but there was still doubt in her mind. Although there were no spikes on the monitor, showing that he had been truthful, something about the way he shuffled his arms was bothering her.

"I'm sold," A voice said in the seemingly empty corner of the dark room.
A yellow glow erupted from the corner, and retracted back, revealing Monica with her arms crossed.

"How did you get in here?" Maria asked

"Invisibility," Monica replied and started walking towards Alex.

She pulled a badge out of her blazer pocket and swiped it against Alex's cuffs. They released a beeping noise and unclipped themselves from his wrist. Instantly, Alex began rubbing the parts of his wrists where the cuffs had been, that were now lighter than the rest of his skin. Maria immediately realised why Alex had been shuffling around. The cuffs were really thick and tight and weren't meant to be used for long periods. For some reason, this dissipated Maria's doubt.

"Let's go," She said to the soldier, and all three returned to the Avenger's lounge.

Monica and Alex Joined the Newyorkers who were having some miscellaneous chat, whilst Maria went straight to Fury and they left slightly after.

After seeing Alex walk towards him, Danny stood up, and they both had a long-awaited hug.

"So you're the secret that Danny's been hiding all along," Wanda spoke up.

"You guys knew?" Danny asked, flabbergasted.

"Well, we knew there was something you weren't telling us," Shuri said

"Why didn't you guys say anything?" Asked the speedster

"We figured that if you were hiding something, you probably had a good reason for it." Peter replied

"So you're Alex," Wanda commented "You seem alright,"

"Any friend of Danny's is a friend of ours," Peter said, holding out his hand which Alex shook.
