Author's note: Not fully back yet, but i want to slowly pick this back up, tho expect uploads to be a little more sporatic.

Chapter 12:

The chase

"Hello there…..little princess….."

They barely had time to react when the spider demoness dropped herself from the ceiling and jumped the 3 of them.

Barely able to jump away, Carmilla wasn't so lucky as with a swift kick of her dagger like feet, the weapons dealer was hurled backwards, the back of her head hitting the wall as she released a pained yelp before crumpling to the floor unconscious.

"CARMILLA!" Vaggie was barely able to yell out as a set of razor sharp claws came down, and as she only barely managed to evade the strike, they embedded themselves in the floor as Vaggie now stood face to face with a grinning, hunched over Ink, her posture and eerie, unnatural growling making her look more like a wild animal or a cryptid then a woman.

"VAGGIE WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" Charlie pulled at her girlfriend's arm, and as the 2 women made a run for it, with a loud, animalistic grunt, Ink had pulled her claws free as she stared down the hall the princess and her angelic partner had just disappeared off into "Yes my dearies….RUN….i just LOVE the thrill of a good chase, makes it more fun for me when I catch my prey…" Ink called out as she dislocated her joints, dropped on all fours in a spider like manner and began her chase.

Their hearts beating in their chests, Charlie and Vaggie ran as fast as their legs could carry them as in the background, they heard the stabbing of the spider demoness' limbs into the floor, walls and ceiling in quick succession as her mad cackle followed them everywhere.

"COME HERE, MY DARLINGS, there's enough room in my web for ALL OF YOU, YOOOOHOHOHOhoho!"

Finding themselves in the lounge area of the hotel, they would quickly hide behind a couch before they heard the tall overlord enter.

Peering around the corner, they saw Ink, now standing upright again, slowly prowl the room, drooling that thick, dark red saliva everywhere as she hungrily peered around every corner and in every nook and cranny.

Just as Ink was about to peer over the edge of the backrest of their hiding place, the 2 women managed to somehow wriggle themselves under the sofa without making a sound as they waited with baited breath for the tall demoness to leave.

They both breathed a sigh of relief when they heard Ink's stabbing like footsteps slowly die down as the tall woman slinked her way out of the room.

Finally coming out of hiding, they took their time to lean against a nearby wall and catch their breath, unaware that their shadows behind them were slowly distorting.

"She's….*huff*…officially….*huff*….lost it…." Vaggie panted, to which Charlie couldn't help but nod furiously in agreement "She's insane….that poor soul, whoever she is, she must be suffering in there" Charlie spoke when suddenly, the wall behind her began to bulge out….

Both their eyes would go wide in horror when with a wet sound, 2 sets of claws slowly began to emerge from the ever blackening shadow behind Charlie and curl over her shoulder as a face would push out in-between them from out of the wall when they suddenly heard the telltale voice of the spindly demoness….

"There you are"

Screaming, the both of them pushed themselves off the wall and ran as Ink fully emerged from the wall.

Running into the direction of the lobby, Charlie yelled out in a panicked tome "FUCKFUCKFUCK I FORGOT SHE CAN DO THAT!"

Unbeknownst to the princess and her partner however, Ink had begun scampering up the walls and was now quickly closing the distance on the ceiling as they entered the lobby.

"THERE!" Charlie yelped out as she pointed to the entrance of the hotel "We'll get out, get my Dad to help and come back for the others!" to which Vaggie responded "It's the only plan we have so fa-"

But she was cut off by the terrifying sight of Ink dropping herself from the ceiling, her dagger like feet planting themselves firmly on the ground in front of them, blocking off their path as she sneered out, a wide, wicked, manic smile on her face "GOT YOU, LITTLE TREAT!"

Slowly backing away, Charlie shook as the tall spider demoness slowly stepped closer, menacingly towering over them as she clicked her claws together in excitement, the thick, red drool running over her chin and ripping down onto the carpet.

"Oh I'm going to enjoy tearing into YOU, princess. I'm certain your flesh will be most sweet and succulent…" Ink sadistically sneered, until Vaggie forced herself in between her partner and the significantly taller overlord, brandishing her spear "You will not harm a single hair on her head for as long as I live, you fucking psychopath!"

Raising a single eyebrow in annoyance, the tall overlord rose to her full 7/8ft height "Out of my face, YOU INSIGNIFICENT LITTLE INSECT!" and unceremoniously backhanded the fallen angel away, sending her plummeting towards the reception desk, coming to a stop against the wall with a pained yelp and unceremoniously dropping down behind said desk, disappearing from view.

Looking at her normally so strong girlfriend being just slapped away as if she were a mosquito, Charlie would quickly glance back at Ink, hunched over, licking her lips in anticipation as she slowly prowled closer like a lioness honing in on a gazelle…..

That's when something caught her eye in the background….

….Roach…..holding her father's amulet….a wide, shit-eating grin on his face as he slowly began to sneak closer towards the tall spider overlord.

Just as the 2 made eye contact, he would make a "Hush" gesture as he slowly tiptoed closer.

Suddenly, Ink shot forward, closing the distance as she grabbed the princess by the throat, lifting her up and slamming her with her back against the nearby wall.

As her throat was being squeezed, Charlie couched and gasped for air as Ink leaned in, the princess feeling her hot breath on her face

"This is what happens to those who meddle in affairs they have no business in" she spoke with a wicked smile.
