1. A lot of things aren't as they seem for this story. At least up front. And it feels gross to even reveal that much. Everything will be explained in due time. It wouldn't make sense to spill it all right away, would it?
2. This is not a Draco and Hermione pairing. If you were expecting that, sorry to disappoint. (Seriously? Hands in my panties? Gross.)
Plus, Draco and Hermione are basically young adults in their 11 year old bodies at this point. That would be... messed up and weird. Both characters have been through a war, they've both died, and now they've been thrown into this timeline that they have to get right lest they end up resetting it. Of course Hermione hugs Draco. He is the only thing that proves she isn't crazy. Could you imagine the relief she felt? Also, if Draco finds her the unglamoured image of her adult self to be beautiful, that doesn't mean he's got a hard-on for her. Grow up. Seriously.
3. This is a what-if story. It's AU, obviously. If you're looking for cannon, go elsewhere. If there's any cannon, it is recalled by Hermione and Draco as they figure out what to do next to fix things. However, as they deviate further away from the original events of the timeline, cannon becomes less and less important.
4. Whoever said something was plagerized, message me directly to point out what you think isn't my work. For the record, I wrote this story during a NanoWriMo 10 years ago and am now just getting around to editing it and posting online. If people are going to be shitheads, I won't even bother any more. I can pull it all and just leave the story for who it was originally intended for: my daughter.
5. If folks want more, I'll have new edited chapters soon. I've been going through some medical stuff and one of my kids was in the hospital recently. If you want me to continue posting, just leave a review.
P.S. I ran my story through Grammarly and Scribbr plagerism checkers (again). Ten similar words flagged total—out if what ? six chapters so far—but the phrasing was so common it was triggered across a couple of sites and types of content: a Russian site, a Trukish blog, and Norwegian blog on blogger. Let's just say it was over zealous. It was common vernacular. So, not plagerism. And YES, Scribbr's checker does check against popular fanfic sites, which is often a great way to find out if someone jacked your work and has posted it elsewhere.
Also, someone had suggested AO3. I didn't even realize it was still around. Thanks for the tip.
