Moon Strength Prologue

A regal palace stood with peaceful pools of water lining it's walkways and the vast green and white garden. The palace glowed silver from the Earth light while the pools and flowers gave off golden shimmers as the sun peeked around the planet. An early morning breeze brushed some of the flowers as a young girl dressed in a long flowing silver dress, her long double bunned hair fluttering softly, slowly walked from one patch to the next.

Caretakers passed by the girl every once in a while as the staff and other occupants began waking and starting their days. The girl looked up brushing her silver gold hair away from her face and saw four girls running near the far end of the garden and while she couldn't get close to them she seemed to recall bits and pieces of their training regime as well as banter and times they had spent with her. The girl sighed and sat on one of the many benches scattered around the garden and looked up to the Earth as it glittered in the light of the sun and wished again that she could figure out how and why she was getting these dreams.

After a few more workers passed her and the light of the sun brightened, she stood and stretched before wandering closer to the palace. The morning light made the flowers glow a gentle amber making the garden look gilded and ornate.

As the day moved forward and the girl wandered she noticed again that the girls were near another edge of the garden but they weren't alone this time, beside each girl stood a knight of influential prestige. The girl who longed to understand whom the girls were and wished she could go join the group and chat with them however she knew that just as when the girls were running or training each day, she would never reach them nor hear what was being said if at all. A sigh passed the girl's lips and she turned away with a heartrending slouch and began walking back toward the palace.

"At least the palace doesn't look dilapidated like a few nights ago... "the girl shivered at the scene she had seen, a large battle, death and the end of a powerful Kingdom. Last night she had danced with a very handsome prince and last week had given her the chance to see Earth which had a very similar garden next to a rather extravagant castle so she came to the conclusion that maybe she might have been the one to make a few issues and possibly a scene or two until someone gave in and had the garden planted.

There was a long sigh as she went through her new set of memories and started when she realized she remembered a very large amount of her past life, A past life as a princess of a solar system sized Kingdom where she had close friends, a tight-knit family, a rather handsome fiancé and lived in a gorgeous Palace with a ginormous garden. With that realization, she landed rather hard on her butt with a PUFF. In her shock, she hadn't noticed that she was no longer in the garden or the rather fluffy chair she landed on as her mind whirled in a swirl of silver and color. As her mind calmed down, she finally took notice that the breeze that had been lazily playing with her long tails and bangs was gone. And that she was no longer outside.

She peered around the room she was now in, a gorgeously decorated sitting room with silver, violet, and periwinkle colors set into the furniture as well as on the curtains hanging in front of the floor to ceiling windows, although those could be doors if her memories weren't playing with her. A single tapestry hung on the wall opposite the seat she finally realized that she had landed in, was done in an array of colors depicting the castle and a woman being crowned as the sky faded up into an endless star and planet-filled backdrop for what the girl assumed to be the royal family's symbol a deep golden crescent moon. It was as she finished her observation of the room that she ascertained that her perception of the room left her without the realization that she wasn't actually alone, it was as the other person, a woman with a lilting voice chuckled and spoke did the young girl startle.

"It seems young one, that you've finally come to realize whom you are. It is sad to meet while you are in a coma while your body heals but if this is when we meet then so be it." The woman who was adorned with a very indistinguishable dress and hairstyle that the silver gold haired girl did a double-take at her own dress before looking up at the woman again and scrutinizing her a little closer as the woman sat down on the other chair at the table in front of the tapestry.

The girl did take notice that while the dress and styling of the hair were the same along with the facial features and eye color, the woman's hair color was a silver lavender. The young girl recalled what the woman said and took stock of her memories as well as what she was recalling the accident she had been in. She gaped at the woman who just raised an eyebrow at the rudeness of the still quiet girl who quickly backpedaled and stuttered while abruptly standing "That's not my fault and what do you mean who I am? I know exactly who I am, I am Usagi Serene Tsukino, I'm 13 years old and I was going great in school!" Usagi took a breath, realized the woman had said that she apparently was in a coma and panicked "WAIT! What do you mean by a coma? I shouldn't be in a coma. I was in my father's car just last…" Usagi paused and realized that as she thought back she had been wandering the palace and castle grounds as well as anywhere else her dreams and memories had taken her for quite a while, she recalled seeing many a sun rise as well as the setting sun duck behind the earth many a night. That made her slump back into the chair with a dismayed look as her mind whirled just as it had when she came to this room.

When Usagi looked back up to the lavender haired woman she didn't see a look of pity or or forced comfort, what she did see was a woman she had long missed in even her older memories and now, she blinked as her vision became blurred by tears that flowed quicker with each blink and she let out a sob.

"I remember you, I remember the war!" she hiccupped a sob out as more tears flowed "Mother, Oh mother! I can't" Usagi paused and wiped her eyes as best she could "What happened? All I can recall is how I ended my life after I lost Endymion and the girls! Oh! They had to fight against their bonded ones, oh that had to be heart wrenching. I can't imagine how that felt." Usagi continued to cry and began getting frustrated with the non stop flow of tears. She was about to get up and face away from her now remembered mother, the previous Queen Selene as said woman came around the table and kneeled in front of her daughter and took a handkerchief out to wipe the young princess's face and calm her down. She chuckled again at the situation and caressed Usagi's cheek while looking at her with love and care.

"My daughter, while I'm glad you've begun to remember, I had hoped that those last memories would have come at a later time. But that means we can change things now since you will be able to blend in this time. While we must hide you and the silver crystal, I'll let you borrow what remains of mine until yours forms my dear, we can make sure you aren't in danger or recognizable. We can plan and make sure that the enemy won't be able to take anyone's bonded this time and that you can flourish in the way you couldn't." Selene stood up and motioned for Usagi to follow, as both woman left the sitting room Usagi could see all the rooms and everything looked like that had when she had lived in this palace all those years ago and while nothing looked dusty or falling apart, she was very sure that the actual structure was long decimated and unrecognizable. The queen looked back at her daughter and stopped in front of a door. The queen smiled at Usagi and as Usagi smiled back the door opened and Usagi took sight of the only room she had ever seen a few times, the prayer room, a room with a giant standing crystal which glowed and shimmered with silver light and gold motes of light.

"Here my daughter is where we will plan out what we will do to the enemy. And you will join the fight this time my dear, that I hope will help with what Setsuna saw in the past." The Queen allowed her daughter to go into the room first and after following her in she shut the doors and the hall in which the woman had been walking through dimmed to the white unknown that was where Usagi had been wandering while seeing the palace and aforementioned places.

Author's Note: Here is the edited prolog, to which I thank Astraearose-silvermoon for taking the paragraphs and making it read cleaner. I do thank her for helping me and I plan on having more chapters out soon. To those who have commented before I appreciate the feed back and advice. I do not own nor make money from Sailor Moon, I would love to meet Naoko though since she is helped my younger self learn that I can be strong.
