What if The Spirit Rangers of Power Rangers Jungle Fury had their own series? Three Individuals as The Spirit Rangers? I loved the idea of the Spirit Rangers, but wasn't a fan of them being tools. I came up with the idea a decade ago and never got around to writing the series. Well, I finally came up with this Spin off Sequel for my own. This is my version of The Spirit Rangers!

Episode 3:

The Swan Slasher

Downtown Mauville

A mysterious girl dressed up in a white mask watches over the city. She stands on top of a skyscraper, looking at the town. She takes out a newspaper and reads the front page. The title says "Spirit Rangers take over Mauville!" she turns around and tosses the paper in the garbage. She goes back to the edge of the skyscraper "I've been gone for a month and this is what happens?" she says to herself.

NOTE: The Belle Swordswoman White Rose Mask (Sun Vulcan) has made her American Debut. She will be the Guardian of the town.

The Guardian of Mauville watches over the city, waiting to encounter the Spirit Rangers.

The next morning

Downtown Mauville - Recreation Court

John, Elliot, and Blake all do a few laps around on the track. They finish their 12th lap feeling tired. "How many was that?" asked Elliot. John replies to Elliot "4 Miles!" he says, unscrewing his water bottle. "4 Miles?!" yells Blake, trying to catch his breath. "Why would Master Gator make us do a few laps around the track?" asked Blake. John replies to Blake "Because, it is good for our stamina. We need to stay in shape, and cardio is one of them. The town can't rely on us being out of shape." Blake and Elliot nod in agreement. "I just wish Master would make us lift weights instead…" said Blake. John checks his watch, it is thirty minutes past 1 pm "Since we're done running laps early. Why not go shoot some hoops?" he asks the group. Blake nods "I can do that!" going with Johns idea. Elliot says to the two "but we can't play 2 v 2, there's only three of us!" John thinks for a moment "We could do subs" he suggests. "Odd one out, whoever loses can sub in" said Blake. John then notices a girl walk by.

The girl has long black hair, a pink tank top and black shorts. John notices the girl and calls out to her. Elliot wonders what John is doing? The girl notices John calling out to her, she looks puzzled and points to herself, wondering if John is calling for her attention. John nods and signals her over to him, the girl in the pink walks over to him. She is very interested in John. "Hi, whats up?" the girl asks John. John asks the girl "did you wanna come play 2v2 against us? We could use another person." The girl thinks for a moment, she then says to John "only, if I could be on your team!" John smiles "you got it!" Elliot and Blake are irritated, they have to play together and they could barely be in the same room together. "What's your name?" asked John. The girl smiles, "my name is Kelly" she says to him.

Downtown Mauville - Recreation Court - Basketball Court

The basketball court is empty, there is nobody there but the four of them. John and Kelly both partner up while Elliot and Blake look at each other in disgust. John and Elliot check in, John dribbles the ball, while Elliot tries to block him. Kelly gets open, taking the pass from John. Blake tries to cover her, but Kelly fake passes Blake, she lays it up into the hoop.

"Lucky shot" comments Elliot, not feeling impressed by her. Kelly and Elliot check in, Elliot passes the ball to Blake. Blake takes the pass, he dribbles the ball while John blocks him, making it unable for Blake to shoot. Blake passes the ball to Elliot. Elliot is about to take the pass, but Kelly swoops in and steals the ball away from Elliot before he could catch it. Kelly then passes it to John. John takes the pass from Kelly and drives it into the hoop. John and Kelly keep passing and shooting their shots into the basket. While Elliot and Blake struggle to at least get a shot. Kelly and John both steal the ball and continue to shoot some baskets. They win 15 - 0, shutting out Blake and Elliot.

John and Kelly talk to each other, they really make a great team together. "How come I haven't seen you around?" asked John. Kelly replies "I've been away for a few weeks. I had to travel to a relative's place to spend time with them." John understands "yeah, I've had my fair shares. Traveling to places and relocating" he says, not trying to explain much about his secret. Kelly asks "you seem new here" she then looks at both Blake and Elliot sitting on the fence, drinking their water "Are you all here at the same time?" she asks him curiously. John tries to come up with something, the first thing he could say is "y-yeah. We were all adopted. F-from the orphanage." Kelly tilts her head slightly "orphanage? In this area?" she asks John. John replies to Kelly "y-yeah. We all were adopted at the same time. But not from here, a faraway place. Far away from Mauville" he says to her. Kelly understands John, she scoots over to him. They keep talking about their lives.

Elliot and Blake watch from afar, they watch John and Kelly talk to each other. "Look at John, thinks he's the shit" said Elliot "he only won because he had that Kelly girl." Blake sits there, looking at the two chatting "she should've partnered up with me. I would've destroyed you two!" he says to Elliot. Elliott gives Blake a dirty look "no, it would've been me and Kelly destroying you. You just suck!" he says to Blake. Blake gets mad at Elliot "I'm strong, I'm a real wall! That's what Master Phant told me!" he says to him. "I still can't believe that we have similar powers from those Masters…" said Elliot, sighing in annoyance. "What's wrong with Master Swoop?" asked Blake. "Well, he's blind, but I think he's faking it" said Elliot. Blake responds "or maybe your other senses just suck in general."

While Blake and Elliot piss each other off. John and Kelly continue to talk. They both really have a deep connection with each other. "I'm so glad I came over to play with you guys" said Kelly. John responds "you wanna go out sometime?" he pauses, after realizing that he blurted out that towards a girl he just met. Kelly pauses for a bit. John feels so awkward, he wants to change the topic, but Kelly replies to John "yes, yes I will." John is surprised, he thought he said something that was too fast for him to ask. "Wait, really?" he asks Kelly. Kelly scooches over to him "yeah, you seem nice. You're a great partner in crime. And you seem to keep your buddies under control" she says to him. John is surprised, he never asked someone out and got a good response from them, not even at the academy. Kelly checks her watch, she realizes that she has to be somewhere "oh, I gotta go. I have to meet up with family" she says to him. John checks his watch as well "yeah, I gotta go back home and help around the house. I have some responsibilities to take care of." Kelly says to John "I'm free tonight at 7." John smiles, hearing this he says to Kelly "7 it is!" he says, confirming their date. He and Kelly both stand up and hug each other. "Meet me back here at 7, I can show you the area!" said Kelly. John responds to Kelly "good idea!" Kelly hustles off, John jumps for joy. Blake and Elliot notice John celebrating, they wonder what they just missed.

Slayers Cavern - Temple

Slayer comes up with a way to take down the spirit rangers, he looks through a portal to see some people having fun at the recreational area downtown. "Hmm, maybe this could help me out" he says, coming up with an idea. Slayer calls out for Klong. Klong hustles into the room, he slips and falls, but gets back up on his feet "you call Master Slayer!?" he asks his Master. Slayer gets a Rin-Shi over to the room "give me that gopher plague!" He directs Klong over to the closet. Klong runs over, swings the door open, and goes inside, he then asks his Master "uh, Slayer?" Klong asks curiously. Slayer groans in annoyance "What!?" he asks angrily. Klong responds "What's a Gopher?" he asks in confusion. Slayer growls in annoyance, he creates a cloud that images a gopher "something like this!" he yells in anger. The small cloud shows a picture of a gopher. Klong puts two and two together and sees the plague of a gopher right next to his right shoulder. He grabs it and hands it over to Slayer. Slayer mumbles to himself "you just can't get good help these days." The gopher is placed on the Rin-Shi, it transforms into a monster. A big hairy gopher with fangs sticking out of its mouth. "You called Master Slayer!" he says to his master. "Destroy the recreational area, Groulpher! [Growl-Fur]" Slayer yells in command. Groulpher responds "anything for you Master!"

ALs Car Mechanic - Living Room

Connie gives the boys a nutritious lunch, Elliot is confused "wait, no french fries?" he asks Connie in confusion. Connie responds "well, my boys need some nutrition. You can't eat greasy foods and fight a monster in that condition!" she says to the boys. Elliot looks at his sandwich, he notices that there is only roast beef, but other toppings like lettuce, tomato, and onions inside of it. Elliot asks Connie "can I get mayo in mine?" Connie glares at Elliot "no! Mayo is not good for the hardworking ranger!" she says to him. Elliot doesn't wanna question Connie too much, he takes a bite of his sandwich.

Connie and AL both head over to the back, they go to the private office of AL.

ALs Car Mechanic - ALs Office

Both AL and Connie walk inside of the office, AL shuts the door. "We have to tell the boys" said AL. Connie has a worried look on her face "you mean?" she asks her husband. AL responds "yes, it has to be told. Or there will be a lot of conflicts here than what we have going on with Slayer." Before they could do anything, the alarm goes off. "Looks like we'll have to wait" said Connie.

Mauville Park

The Spirit Rangers are morphed and ready to battle. But there is nothing going on in the park. "Hold on, the alarms and scanners read that there is something going on here" said John, feeling confused. Elliot sighs "this is perfect! I knew that Master of ours wasn't a tech guy!" he says to the trio. Blake says to Elliot "oh, and you could do better!" John stops the two from arguing, he feels something is going on. Blake closes his eyes, he stands there feeling the vibration of the ground "it feels like an earthquake, but no. It is not an earthquake" he says to the duo. He feels the vibration getting closer and closer, Blake grabs John and Elliot and moves them aside. They get away just in time, popping out of the ground is Groulpher.

"Almost had you guys! You could've stood still a bit!?" Groulpher says to the trio. Elliot laughs "like we're stupid enough to stand and take the attack!" he says to Gopher. Groulpher glows in an aura, it dashes over to the trio. Elliot stands there, he grabs the gopher by the shoulders and holds it back. "Never underestimate the Spirit of the Elephant!" Blake says to the monster. He pushes Groulpher back, shoving him harder and harder. John uses the opportunity and unleashes his animal spirit. The shark flies out of him, Blake jumps away just in time for the shark to attack the beast. Elliot jumps up and begins to fly, charges up and uses his Jungle Fan to slash the monster. Blake sprints, he throws a few punches towards Groulpher. Groulpher flies thirty feet back, hitting a tree. The tree falls down on the beast. "Looks like you've met your match!" said Elliot. John says to Elliot and Blake "let's unleash our animal spirits!" both boys nod to him in agreement. They are ready to unleash their animal spirits, but a powerful feather flies in between the rangers and the beast, hitting the ground like a bullet. The Spirit Rangers and Groulpher all look at the White Feather in confusion. "What kind of trick is this?" asked Groulpher. Elliot responds "you sure this isn't Slayer pulling something on us!" John is confused; he wonders why this white feather is interrupting the battle. A voice comes out of nowhere, "this is my battle now!" the voice says to the trio. The Spirit Rangers look around, Elliot is the first to notice "it's coming from the top of the pavilion!" he says, pointing to the left side.

Standing on top of the pavilion is a girl dressed up in a white suit, pink tights, white boots, and a white mask with a fencing epee in her hand.

NOTE: An Epee is a type of sword used for Fencing. There are other types of Fencing Swords like a Foil and Sabre.

Groulpher stands there asking the girl "what kind of person are you? You're some fucked up type of spirit ranger!" he says to the girl. The girl says to the beast "I am the Guardian of this town. I am The Swan Slasher!"

The Swan Slasher jumps off of the roof of the pavilion, she takes out her sword and pokes the beast. Groulpher is unaffected. "That thing is weak!" the Beast says to the mysterious girl. Groulpher throws a punch at her, but The Swan Slasher dodges the attack. She does a spin and lands on her feet, she kicks the beast right in the stomach. Groulpher wants to attack the girl, but he decides to dig on the ground and throws chunks of dirt at her. The White Warrior gets a few on her, but she uses her sword to cut through the patches of dirt.

The Shark Ranger joins in on the act, he helps the Swan take down the monster. After lying a blade on the beast. The Swan Slasher kicks the Shark Ranger, knocking him down. John gets aggravated "What the Hell! I'm on your side!" he yells at the Swan Slasher. The Swan Slasher responds "it's my battle and my town! It's best to leave this for me!" she says to the Shark Ranger. The Beast takes out its claws and throws a clump of dirt at the Swan. The Swan Slasher tries to cut it up into billions of pieces, but it is no use, she is knocked back. John, using his Shark Sabers, runs in rapid speed, he surfs through the aura and slashes the gopher.

The Swan Slasher gets up and tries to stab Groulpher, but the sword is pointless, not even leaving a scratch on him. "That was weak!" said Groulpher, he then kicks the phantom back. She is about to land on a wall, but both Elliot and Blake catch her just in time. "It's best to leave it to the experts," said the Bat Ranger. Both Bat and Elephant Rangers come charging towards the beast. The trio unleashes their animal spirits, their spirits come charging towards the gopher, destroying it into millions of pieces. The Swan Slasher is stunned, she has never seen such power come out of three different colored heroes. The Swan Slasher thinks to herself "I need more training" she says to herself. She then looks at the Spirit Rangers "and to understand where the Hell these three came from!" she says, looking at them. The Shark Ranger hustles over to her, he checks up on her "hey, sorry for interfering, but these things are a lot more tougher than your average bank robbers" he says to the Swan Slasher. The Swan Slasher takes offense to this comment "these things are only the beginning!" she says to the Shark Ranger, she then pushes him back "I take no comment from a guy in spandex! Not even someone who uses a holographic animal to destroy my enemy!" she says to the Shark Ranger. Both Elephant and Bat Rangers come over to help defend John "hey, a simple thank you would've been nice!" said Blake. "Yeah, you could've died today!" said Elliot. The Swan Slasher throws a smoke bomb on the ground. A huge puff of white smoke blinds the Spirit Rangers, the cloud disappears, The Swan Slasher is gone.

ALs Car Mechanic - Training Room

The Three Spirit Rangers demorph and sit down in the training room. AL and Connie come inside of the room. John asks the two masters "so what is it about this Swan? And why is she against us?" he asks the two. AL and Connie begin to explain, AL starts "it has to do with the guardian of the town. The Swan Slasher has been guarding Mauville since the 1800s. She or He has been doing this for a long time. So coming here was something we didn't think of when Connie and I got settled into this town" he says to the boys. Connie explains more "when we got settled in, all we could think about is getting away from the temple and having a life of our own. We didn't think about Slayer or his goons coming here. All we could think about is our own tasks in hand. Like owning a car garage and having our own family someday" she says to the trio. Elliot gets frustrated "you know how bad this is! We may have won, but this being thinks that we are enemies! We're just doing our duties to take down Slayer and this Swan thing is trying to kick us out of town!" he says to his masters. Connie says to her student "we know things are gonna get frustrating. Pai Zhua has had their issues in the past with another individual who tried to take down our temple. Blake gets curious, he asks his masters "who would he be?"

Cut to a man in the forest

Calibur Forest

Deep into the forest is a man wearing blades on his wristbands. He has a navy mask on. He starts to kick down some very weak tree trunks with his boots, they also have some blades on the back of the shoes. He is wearing a Navy jumpsuit like a bad ripoff of goku from the early dragonball episodes (you know, before he wore his signature turtle hermit uniform).

NOTE: Just think of this mysterious man like a combination of Goku from Dragon ball, Crasher Wake from Pokemon, and Heihachi Mishima from Tekken. Except I added a few weapons on him.

He then takes out his sais and cuts every giant leaf, tearing it into shreds. The man takes a drink of water, he starts chugging it. After his drink he takes off and goes home for the day after some hard training. He takes off his mask and weapons. He then takes off a headband that reveals a symbol from the order of the claw. The mysterious man walks back to his shack.

Locke Temple

Back in Mauville, there is a temple outside of the town. It looks like a church, but without any religious symbols on it. A man in all white prays, hoping for more protection to the town. He then sees The Swan Slasher come out of the ground, he says to the girl "ah, young lady. Did you manage to keep the town protected again?" The girl takes off her mask, it is revealed to be Kelly, she says to the man "no Master Kin, there have been more disruptions again" she says, feeling annoyed. Master Kin lowers his head out of pure irritation "they must know. These Spirit Rangers are not protectors of the town. It is you Young Kelly!" he says to her. Kelly bows to her Master, I know Master. It has been in our Family and Friends for so long. But leaving town to train on the other side of the world has been a problem for the town" she says to him. Another Man in White comes out of the Temple, he has overheard the whole thing, he says to Kelly "your mandatory training is important! You are the Swan Slasher! After your cousin Keith was killed, you were next in line! Now that these Spirit things are invading our town along with a few evil beings, you must take it more seriously than usual!" he says, scolding Kelly. Kelly nods "yes Master Francis" she says to him. Master Kin and Master Francis both look at Kelly, they take out their swords, getting ready to slash her. Kelly dodges just in time, before she could take the hit. "You should've sensed that earlier, you've gone weak!" said Master Francis. "Your Father would have dodged that easily!" said Master Kin. "Your Uncle Sam would've dodged and kicked me right in the balls!" said Master Francis. "I still hate your Uncle Sam for doing that to me" Master Kin says, thinking about his crotch, "but he and Your Aunt Erika were both ballsy for their title!" Master Kin takes out his old blade, he creates an aura making a circle with a few squiggly lines inside of it, making it into a symbol. The circle is launched, destroying a few trees. Another Man comes out of the temple, he scolds Master Kin "you really gotta stop destroying our air!" he says to Master Kin. Master Kin bows, feeling apologetic "sorry Master Quinn. Master Quinn stares down at Kelly "Kelly, you will be in strict training! That means no distractions!" he yells in command.

Downtown Mauville - Recreation Court

It is evening, there are a few people riding their skateboards down in the park. John stands right by the empty basketball court. He checks his watch, it is the right time. It is seven o clock, he stands there wondering where she is. "Kelly must be running late…" he says to himself, trying to think positively.

A few minutes go by, John continues to wait for his date. He thought he saw a girl that looks similar to Kelly, but it is not. He looks at every girl from far away, wondering if it is her. John feels stood up, he doesn't have her number or anything.

Locke Temple - Training Room

Kelly, dressed in her all white uniform, trains all evening. She keeps fighting, but is starting to lose focus. She thinks about John, she regrets not getting his number. All Kelly could think about is the Spirit Rangers, but mostly the Shark Ranger, who interfered with her duty as a guardian of the town. She looks at the training dummy, she pictures the Shark Ranger, her eyes glow in flames, she creates an aura similar to Master Kins, she throws the glowing sphere destroying the training dummies. Kelly falls down in exhaustion, but manages to stand on her ankles, "I'm coming for you Spirit Rangers!" she says under her breath.

Slayers Cavern - Temple

Slayer looks through his portal, he notices that The Swan Slasher has been building up her game, taking training a lot more seriously. Slayer notices that The Swan Slasher has some problems with the Spirit Rangers, but also has a problem with Slayer as well. "Klong!" he calls out to him. Klong hustles over to Slayer "y-yes Master!" he says, catching his breath. "Let's give our new friend a wonderful gift. I'm sure she'll enjoy a good game of knockout!" he says to his assistant.
