Purple wants to do nothing but curl up into a ball and fucking die.
But he can't do that right now.
Instead, he gets to be dragged out of the city he grew up in, taken away from the only people who truly view him for who he is.
Taken away from King.
That's what he has to do now. Live out the rest of his life with Luna, or die in the process.
Honestly, death sounds like paradise to him right now.
It really, really does.
He misses King, he misses his friends, he missed the Color Gang, he misses everyone in Stick City that knows him and loves him and-
"Well, here we are!" Luna suddenly slammed on the brakes, jolting the car forward. Purple nearly falls out of the backseat, his stomach doing flips.
"Jesus fuck-"
"Sorry! Had to rear off the road to get here." Luna doesn't sound sorry.
She sounds evil.
She is evil.
Purple glares at her, readjusting himself and staring out the window.
Staring endlessly at the miles and miles of trees.
Were they still in their region?
Where were they?
"Where are we?" His voice betrays him.
"About eighty or so miles out of Stick City. It's another eighty something miles to the next city, so we're gonna stay here for a while before continuing."
That confirms those suspicions.
She fully intended on leaving the region with him.
This was just fucking wonderful.
Luna half-dragged him out of the car, snarling at the defiance.
"Let go!"
"Why? It's not your father is here to save you."
Purple glared at her. "Don't you fucking dare talk about King like that!"
Luna grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him dangerously close.
"I can talk about him however I want, and you can't do anything about it because he's dead."
Purple glared back, tears prickling the corners of his eyes.
Luna smirked before throwing him back onto the ground. Sharpness dug into his palms, the back of his legs.
When he got out of there, he hoped to god that she would be burned to death.
"Seeing as The Void failed to get rid of you, it only makes sense that I'll have to do it my way." She grumbled, pulling Purple to his feet, her hand gripping tightly around his wrist.
Ow.
She led him through the house, throwing a door open before half throwing him down the stairway.
"Good luck escaping this basement. There aren't any boarded up windows that will give you a miraculous chance of survival." She snapped, making it clear who she was referencing, and slammed the door.
Purple distinctly heard the door click shut.
He sighed, collapsing against the cold floor. "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck."
Purple doesn't sleep that night.
Out of everything he knows right now, he knows the most that he has no sleep in his system except for the last time he slept a decent amount of time(A few days?), and he's going to regret that in the future.
He doesn't have a lot of his stuff, and his phone still wasn't working.
His life fucking sucked.
What did Luna even have planned?
Why was she doing this?
How did she know about the incidents at The Void-
Oh yeah.
Periwinkle.
Purple was grateful she was dead. At his own hands, not so much, but she was dead at least.
That was as good as anything.
The door slammed open, and Luna's footsteps filled the otherwise silent room. Something screeched, dragging behind her.
Purple's heart plummeted, stomach filling with dread.
He was so dead.
She stopped at the base of the stairs, tossing the chair to the side. "Good morning, sunshine."
"Don't call me that." Were the first words he shot at her. He backed further into the dark room.
"Oh, come on, kid, loosen up a little! Everything will go a whole lot smoother if you just cooperate and stay quiet."
The words made his stomach flip.
She wouldn't.
She pressed a button on her wrist, and Purple realized what it was.
Rocket Corp technology.
Oh, fuck.
In an instant, she had a lasso, wrapping it around his waist and throwing him into the chair. Purple winced, the sudden fast motion making him dizzy.
Shaking his head to clear it away, Purple kept strong, glaring her down as she dragged the chair forwards, slowly wandering around the furniture and tying the rope around the chair.
Purple glared her down the entire time.
"Now, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way," She began, kneeling in front of him. "We do this the easy way, you'll get out unharmed, and you can run free."
Not like I have anywhere to go. Purple thought, avoiding her gaze.
"We do this the hard way, " Her voice dropped several octaves, grabbing his face and pulling him close. "I get to turn you into my puppet toy."
"Good fucking luck." He snapped back.
Luna smirked, throwing him backwards into the chair and fiddling with her bracelet. She brought up a picture of Periwinkle, shoving it in his face. "Where is she."
Purple blinked for a moment, her face bearing no resemblance.
Until something clicked.
"This is for killing my boyfriend." She growls. Purple is faster, delivering another kick to her stomach before scrambling to his feet and grabbing the gun.
Periwinkle shouts for Jade(whoever the fuck that was), before Purple jumps through a trapdoor and continues running.
The tunnel smells heavily of pot and weed and God knows what else but he needs to get out of there.
He can hear footsteps running behind him, but he just keeps running.
If he had his elytra, this would be so much easier.
But he didn't.
Lovely.
Purple jumped through a trapdoor, forgetting that it wasn't a Minecraft one for a brief moment, before the smells and sights made him freeze.
Bad idea.
"Oh God, please no-"
A hand clamped over his mouth, something being jabbed into his arm.
"Now, now, sunshine, we don't want you escaping, now do we?"
Purple squirms, kicking his legs, but nothing makes contact. He's forced to his knees, a gag thrown into his mouth.
"Hush now, my child. It'll all be over soon."
Purple then realizes the gun is in his hands, grasps the trigger, aims for the person behind him.
-and fires.
Purple doesn't respond, lost in thought.
He really killed her.
"I said," Luna tilted the chair backwards, snapping him back to reality. The look in her eyes could cut through steel if she really tried(Chosen please come save me). "Where. Is. She."
Purple snarled. "You should know by now. I'm here. Which means she failed."
Luna growled, ripping the rope apart, throwing him out of it and very nearly into a wall if Purple hadn't caught himself. She stomped towards him, the intent to kill clear in her eyes.
Purple maintained composure, despite the fear coursing through his veins. "Why am I here if you already know the answer?"
"YOU KILLED HER!" Luna's scream comes down on his ears. Ow.
"Bout fucking time." Purple grumbled, attempting to get to his feet.
Luna kicks them back, sending him crashing back to the ground. "I'll kill you like you killed her."
"Then maybe you should've just let this happen. After all, maybe if you hadn't gone to the extreme because your child made a stupid decision, neither of us would be here. That's all your plan is based on. Revenge. And I know from experience that it gets you nowhere."
That's how it went with King.
He was lucky enough to have gotten through to him and gotten the happy ending to that story.
Luna didn't see it that way, though. "You let Silver die!"
"I had no reason to let them die!" Purple snapped back. "They were the one who decided that I was target number one! They decided that I needed to die for YOUR brother's actions! And guess what? Nobody. Did. Anything."
Luna grabbed his face, slamming his head to the ground. The impact should've been enough to draw blood, but it wasn't. Purple glared at her, still very much alive and breathing.
"Your whore mother was a terrible liar." Luna snarled.
The word circles in his head over and over.
"You and your whore mother were holding Navy back from being something he could be worth living for!"
"Take it, whore."
"Watch your tone, whore."
"Come on, be a good little whore and take it."
"Good little whore, you are,"
"You and your whore mother-"
Something about that one word made his blood boil.
"Don't you dare call my mother a whore."
"Why? You know it's true. And look at you! Following in her footsteps! Like mother, like son, am I right?"
That. That was what made him snap.
He kicked Luna in the stomach, pulling himself to his feet and grabbing the front of her shirt.
"Call me a whore and see what fucking happens."
"You know that's what you are. Deep down inside, you know that's all you are, and all that you're good for. Being the whore and fucktoy of older men. That's all you are, sunshine."
God, he was going to strangle her.
"Come on, you know you like it, too." She purrs out, her eyes glistening with evil intent. Purple doesn't say anything, the words festering, his blood boiling over.
"You like having older men fuck you into oblivion, don't you? Your mother did. That's what makes you two so similar," Her fingers brush against his cheek, flipping loose hair out of his face. "It was never rape, like the news said it was. It was all just your idea of prostitution. Selling your body to older men who would kill to have that kick."
Purple clenched his fists, swallowing the nausea bubbling in his throat.
This isn't your fault, Purple.
You know this.
You were raped. It wasn't your fault.
None of it was.
Don't listen to you, just fight back and get out of here.
"You really are your mothers boy," Luna says fondly, gently cupping his cheek. If it were literally anyone else( Dad please come back I miss you I love you I'm sorry- ), he would've fell for the affection immediately. But no. It was Luna. "In fact, I know a person your mother just adored, who would be oh so glad to keep you as his own little fucktoy sex slave-"
That was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Purple punched her in the face hard enough to where he felt the aftermath. She fell backwards into the wall, and Purple himself stumbled back from the force.
God damn.
He really was capable of that?
Holy shit.
"YOU PRICK!"
"Call me a whore and a prostitute and then try to sell me as a sex slave, and see what fucking happens." Purple snapped, wincing from the pain in his fist, but maintaining his glare. "You're lucky you're not dead."
Luna glared at him. "You do not get to hit your aunt like that."
"You? My family?" Purple almost laughed at the absurdity. "The last time you, or anyone else besides my mom, were anything close to my family was before Navy decided he was going to be the world's number one parent!"
"You-"
"You are not my family, Luna Star Ribbon. You never were, and never will be. The last little bit of a real family I had left is dead, because of you."
"Please. King never loved you." Luna scoffed.
Purple wanted to have the power to kill someone with looks right then and there. She would've been dead enough to where The Day of Surrection couldn't even bring her back.
She was lying.
King didn't hate him.
King cared about him.
King needed him.
King loved him.
King had adopted him, promised to protect him, and he was there for him.
King loved him more than anything.
Purple could almost hear King's voice in his head."
"You mean so much more to me than I will ever be able to describe."
"I will always be here, I will never leave you."
"The two years you've been in my life have been some of the greatest of my life, and they're all because of you."
"You are family, Purple. Never forget that."
"I love you so, so much, my beloved little sunshine. Always and forever."
"If you think that sorry excuse of a father ever loved you, then think again!" Luna snapped.
Purple growled. "If you think I'm going to believe you over the man who took me in when your sorry asses abandoned me, then maybe you should think again."
Luna charged forwards, attempting to tackle him. Purple dodged with ease, letting her fall to the ground.
Purple took his chance and ran up the stairs, ducking into a hall closet while he had the chance.
Steadying his nerves, he thought about what to do next. He could always escape, but he had almost no idea where he was. How far out Stick City was.
Where could he go?
Luna all but ripped the door off its hinges. "You're going to die, brat."
"Try it, bitch." He kicked her in the face, pushing past her and scrambling back into the basement. He slammed the door shut and locked it, ducking into the furthest and darkest corner of the room.
He glanced down at his wrists, the bandages slowly peeling off.
God damn it, when did he change them last?
…Oh yeah.
Purple shook away the thoughts, something else catching his attention.
The waterproof Rocket Corp communicator he'd forgotten he had.
Oh, thank fuck.
He quickly turned it on, scrambling to get in touch with someone, anyone.
Chosen, Dark, Vic, Agent, Hunter, I don't fucking care who, just please-
"HOLY SHIT YOUR ALIVE!"
Welp. It was better that it was Hunter.
"Dude, shut up! You're going to get me killed! There is nothing but a locked door and stairs that are between me and my last few seconds alive."
"What?! Dude, where are you?!"
"Eighty or so miles out of town. Don't know where, but it's isolated as shit."
"What?! Are you okay?!"
"The furthest thing from it. You're lucky I'm still alive."
"God we are. King thought you'd turned against us or some shit."
What.
What did she just say?
But-King was-
"King's…King's still alive?"
"...Yeah? He's very much alive. Have no idea where the hell he is, but he's very much still alive."
She tricked him.
Luna fucking tricked him.
King was alive this entire time, worrying himself sick, and Purple didn't even realize it!
God, how was he so fucking stupid?!
"Purps? Are you there?"
Purple bit back the sob of relief in his throat. "I'm fine."
"I can go find him if that'll make you feel any better."
"Please! God damn it, he's going to kill me-"
"He will not kill you. Worried fucking sick, yes, but he won't be mad at you."
Relieved, probably.
That's what he'll be. Relieved and will never let you go once you get out of there.
"Purple! Purple, sunshine!"
King!
God damn it, he was alive!
"...Dad?"
"Purple! You're okay! Thank goodness, I-"
"I know, the entire world was told I was dead underwater. I was told you were dead and didn't love me anymore!"
"Purple, honey…that's not true. I love you more than I probably should, and that will never change."
Purple smiled. "I love you too, dad."
*CRASH*
Fuck.
"Shit, she's in." Purple muttered.
"Who-What-Purple, where are you?!"
"I don't know, dad! I really don't! But it's somewhere bad and Luna's trying to kill me and I just-" He drew in a breath.
"Baby, please…"
King's terror in his voice made Purple's heart break for him.
"I'm sorry, dad…I love you."
He disconnected the call and spawned in a lighter, having no other choice.
He threw the lighter at her and bolted into the flames.
