It was pure luck Agent had remembered the path out of there.

King was certain they were going to get lost and die down there.

…Wait, actually, no. Don't think about death.

You have a child to get back to.

King sighed, fiddling with the chain around his neck. His child's necklace.

The memory of Purple's pure relief in his voice hearing King talk to him again.

What has Luna done to you?

When I find her, I swear-

The bright sun blasts him in the face momentarily.

"Ow."

"Why is it so fucking bright outside?!" Hunter shouted. Victim glanced around, quickly finding a door.

"Come on! Quickly!"

They followed him through the door, quietly shutting it behind them.

"Stay as quiet as possible, we don't want doppelgangers or anyone catching us."

The doppelganger's cold voice still rings in his ears.

And he'd thought he'd felt fear before.

That outweighed the fear he'd felt hearing Purple was at the bottom of a lake.

Breathe, Clementine.

Just breathe.

Everyone's going to be fine.

Purple is going to be fine.

Just stay focused and-

"Look out!" Agent smacked away an energy blast with a baton, flinching.

"What the hell?!" Hunter shouted. King threw a hand over her mouth as the building went silent.

They stood there frozen for a few moments before Victim ushered them forward. King followed closely behind.

"What the hell was that?!" He whisper-shouted.

"I don't know, but I know I didn't install it." He muttered, rounding a corner into another corridor. "If we can just get to the sleeping quarters, we'll be able to find our way to the main room and hopefully ambush them."

"As long as they don't already know that we're in here. Which is a high chance." Agent said.

"He's right. With that attack, they probably know someone broke in."

"If anything, they'll think it's Purple. Which would suck, but they're stupid, so it's possible."

Come on, Purple.

Where are you?

His hand gripped the charm. Please still be alive.

An alarm blared above them. "Shit!"

"What?!"

"They know we're here."

"Fuck, fuck!"

Victim shoved them into a random room, slamming the door shut.

The quartet waited in silence for what felt like hours.

"DAMN IT!"

Lavender slammed her hands on the keyboard. "This fucking family!"

Blossom and Heather flinched, staring at each other. "Lav, breathe-"

"NO I WILL NOT! THE DAMN BASTARD'S FATHER ESCAPED!" She roared.

Her eyes glanced down at Heather. "Find them."

Heather nodded. "Y-Yes ma'am!"

She ran out of the room, looking up the location of where they were.

The sleep quarters of the building. A terrible place to hide. And a place incredibly close to them.

Brilliant.

She silently stalked the hallways, her eyes and ears trained on finding the slightest difference.

Then she caught it.

Small whispers at the end of the corridor.

She spawned in a few rather large meat snakes, ordering two simple words.

"Get them."
