Chapter Three

Celebrations, Decisions, Memories

A/N – Well, I thought I should start with a bang as our second favorite couple are engaged and ready to take that next step in their lives. They are the future of the family and company and with their siblings will definitely continue the legacy that is the Borden family. I hope you enjoyed my approach to the proposal as I wanted to take some time with each character individually. The intent was to provide some insight for each of them and tie in their knowledge and expectations of the big night for Lyndy and Wyatt. Sorry for the delay in posting this chapter but I am still aligning my storylines as we move forward with this stage of the family's lives. My plan is that when I get in the groove I can put out a chapter every week to ten days. Let's finish up the young lovers' night and get into JT's birthday, which I expect will include a lot of happiness for the newly engaged couple as well. We have a lot of exciting, fun and challenging times ahead for sure. I would really love to hear from you, especially since there has been a glitch in the system and Views and Visitors have not been tabulate for two months, losing a gauge on readership outside of reviews. The good thing is I can see them and I had a bunch for chapter 1, of which I am thankful for. I hope everyone enjoys the ride with me. Mature Content (Duh!) – Enjoy!

RR (Reader Reviews) – I have received several reviews from readers I can't respond to, so I would like to recognize MTaiawa, Jim, MT and Paul. I appreciate your comments and insights, especially with the system issue I mentioned above. If you choose not to allow a response, that's cool. Feel free to private message me if you have any questions or ideas as well or keep on sending them the way you do. I read every review and respond to those that I can. THANKS!

The Hotel Le Germain was a centrally located quaint Calgary boutique hotel that was perfect for the young lovers. Lyndy was still in a daze as they checked the truck in at valet, again to impressed looks from the staff. Wyatt grabbed their overnight bag and they headed to the desk hand in hand. Wyatt checked in and grabbed the key card for their room to a smiling staff member who saw the love they had for each other. She smiled, "Pardon me for saying but you both look happy, special occasion?" All Lyndy did was hold up her hand to show her the ring, too emotional to speak.. The attendant smiled, 'Well, congratulations and give me that card back, we have another room for you two." Still floating on air, all Lyndy could do was smile and lean into him as the came to the door. Their mouths both dropped open as they looked at the beautiful room that opened up to a panoramic view of the city and mountains. It was perfect. Before they closed the door, a bellmen scurried behind them, "Sorry for the interruption, I had to retrieve this from the room you were supposed to be in. Let me put it here and congratulations." Wyatt closed the door and they kissed deeply. Lyndy giggled, "Let's check out this cart and the room." They walked around looking it over and then went over to the cart and saw a bottle of champagne on ice, a dozen roses, some chocolates and a pretty big card. She opened it and her eyes teared up handing it to Wyatt as he read the note from Amy, "Congratulations we love you and are so happy for you. Enjoy the night and we will see you at home tomorrow whenever you make it." Each of them signed it individually and they laughed when below JT's name was a note, "Way you go Wyatt." And there was also one from Addie, "Remember, late check out times are available." Each of them had special notes but the one from Amy and Ty was the most special. He took a breath and read it, "Dad and I are so happy for you both. Since you first got together we could tell you were meant to be. Always love each other and take the time to show each other your love, no matter what obstacles are in your way. We love you both with all of our heart." They smiled tearily and move to face each other. Lyndy was finally able to speak, "Wyatt this is amazing, the room, the ring, the card, I will never forget tonight. I love you so much I could burst," They kissed again looking into each other's eyes. He laughed and looked at the bag, "I have instructions to have you unpack this and let you get ready first. I am going to start a fire and pop the champagne. Don't be too long." They kissed again and she skipped into the bathroom. He heard her humming and at times a yell out about the bathroom and the huge tub in it. She was quiet as he heard her shuffling around and giggling. Finally he saw the light go out and the door begin to open. What he saw took his breath away and he was lost for words. Lyndy whispered, "Do you like it?" Now it was time for Wyatt to be starry eyed. Lyndy had a pretty revealing nightie on and thoughts ran through his head as to who would get it for her. She smiled, "I am sure you are wondering but it is a gift from Haley and Katie, not mom." He took a big gulp and went to her. She did a quick spin and showed off the outfit that definitely sparked something in him. Looking down she giggled, "It looks like you like it." He picked her up bridal style and carried her to the bed.

As he put her down the feeling of her skin aroused him even more. He began moving his lips all over the exposed parts of her body and eventually the nightie was discarded and thrown somewhere in the room. His boxers were next as they were hungry for each other. Lyndy moved from her lips to his neck and chest. She was on fire and was stimulating him relentlessly. She moved down his body to reach the place where he really enjoyed her attention. His head leaned back as she pleasured him with her lips with moans coming from both of them. He couldn't handle too much more so he gently rolled her over as she shrieked a little. He began his onslaught. He started at her lips with a sensuous kiss, their tongues dancing. He moved to her neck, a place she loved him to pay attention too and onto her perky breast. He played for a while as Lyndy moaned his name over and over. It seemed he was where he needed to be. After several minutes he ventured down to the place, where like him she enjoyed his touch. He used his lips and fingers to pleasure her repeatedly and she shuttered with several waves of pleasure. She was breathless as the last orgasm brought the quiet screaming of his name. They were both heated up as a slick sheen of love covered them both. Their breath was rapid as he continued to bring her to extreme levels of love until they settled and she whispered, "I really love the ring and begin engaged to you Wyatt. I have never loved you more and I can't wait for our life together." He smiled and laughed, "Lyndy, you complete me and have made me who I am. So you want to go to sleep?" Her eyes grew wide as she position herself above him and his still attentive manhood. She grabbed a condom and smiled, "I am not even close to being tired lover." As she lowered herself Wyatt gasped at the bond. She moved fluidly as they made love. He joined her in the movements as they were in sync moving up and down. She was moaning and calling his name as she increased the lovemaking, arching her back and pulling her head back. Wyatt grabbed her hips and pulled her toward him, "Lyndy, I want to see you, open your eyes." She moved to him and they kissed, not missing a beat in their love. After they kissed he pulled back and began to increase his thrust, nearing his orgasm. She sense it and began to shake as her orgasm came as well. As they exploded, each of them reached an amazing climax. As they recovered trying to catch their breath, each of them glistening in perspiration. Finally Lyndy smiled and whispered breathlessly, "Best night ever." He rolled over and smiled facing her. "Lyndy, I have never been as happy and in love as I am right now, I am so glad you said yes, three times." The pulled into each other as one body and within minutes were fast asleep.

Back home the family finally settled. Amy and Ty still walked around to check on each of them even though they were older, they called it a parent thing. Secretly the kids loved that they still did. As Ty watched Amy brush her hair he couldn't help to see she was still smiling and it seemed it had been there all night. He spoke up, "So Mrs. Borden, are we happy?" She finished and walked over to him climbing into bed. She looked in his eyes still smiling but also had a little tear forming. "Ty, I am so happy for them. Did you see the look in her eyes when he asked, it was so wonderful. But I also realized that my little girl is getting married to the man of her dreams and it just makes me feel so amazing but scared." The last word through him for a bit as he asked, "Why are you scared?" "Ty our kids are growing up and moving on. I don't want to lose them." Now he was alarmed and he pulled her in as her smile faded. "Ames, I can assure you we will never lose our kids and for you especially you will never lose Lyndy. You two have a special connection that I see all the time. She loves Wyatt a lot but she loves you just as much. You two are so alike and are so full of love and compassion. And they are probably gonna live right next door for a while until they decide what to do so she I not leaving town. Wyatt will become a full time vet for us and Lyndy, she is you and will continued to work with horses right by your side. I think we are stuck with each other." She calmed a bit and whispered, "The proposal was awesome, Wyatt did such a great job. But it was missing one thing." She leaned over and kissed him deeply, "No shooting star." He smiled burying his kips in her neck and whispered into ear lobe, "Do you see on now?" For the next couple of hours Amy and Ty celebrated in their own way. They made love into the early morning figuring it would be a later morning that would be starting with JT's birthday breakfast. Lyndy opened her eyes as the morning sun was lighting up the sky. Their bedroom had enormous floor to ceiling windows and although shaded still let in the might. She smiled remembering the magical night her and Wyatt had had. They were intimate already, but last night was something special. All of a sudden, her eyes grew as the shine from her engagement ring hit her eyes. She gasp and yelled out, "I'm engaged!" Wyatt woke up alarmed and basically fell off the bed trying to gather himself. "Lyndy, what the heck, you scared me." He stood up not realizing he had never gotten dressed as Lyndy giggled pulling him to her, "Now I can get use to this morning view." They laughed and rolled around waking each other up quickly. She leaned into his chest, kissing his neck, "Good morning fiancé." He laughed, "Good morning my beautiful and sexy fiancé." After a lot of kissing they decided to take a shower and get ready to go home. They decided in between some shower play that they wanted to get home for JT's breakfast. Reluctant but excited they got dressed and headed out to the Miracle Ranch.

Breakfast was slowly getting prepared as the kids wandered down at their leisure. When JT came down everyone yelled Happy Birthday as the girls showered him with hugs. He wouldn't admit but he still loved them but did put on a stoic face as he felt he was too old. He went to his mom and she hugged him tightly, "I can't believe you are 10, I love you." He snuggled in close enjoying the familiar warmth of her hug, "I love you too mom and I am still your little boy." Amy teared up hugging him tighter. As she let go he went to hug his dad as well. He spoke up, "Have we heard from Lyndy and Wyatt, last night was so awesome." Addie smiled suggestively, "I think is may be a while before they get home." They all smiled in agreement when the door opened and sure enough the newly engaged couple walked in smiling, surprising them all. Hugs and happy birthdays followed as the girls oohed and awed over the ring. Lyndy went to Amy and they hugged tightly as Wyatt went to JT, "We couldn't miss your birthday breakfast!" They all gathered around the table for his special breakfast laughing and talking about last night and the upcoming weekend of parties. Once they finished, Amy and Ty offered to cleaned up so the six of them could tend to the family horses. Although there were ranch hands to handle it they always took care of their own as well as Blaze and Triumph. As they went out, Lyndy and Wyatt were the center of attention as news of the engagement spread quickly. Everyone wanted to see the ring and congratulate them. Annie laughed to the others, "Looks like the horses are ours to handle this morning." They heard scream's as Katie and Haley ran toward the happy couple. The three girls hugged and cooed over the ring talking a mile a minute. The crowd continued to grow as everyone was so happy for the couple. JT walked over to them and complained, "Don't worry we got then horses." Katie shushed him away and as he walked back he noticed a car pulling up to the house. His eyes opened wide when he saw Grandma Lilly and Grandpa Max getting out of it. He screamed and ran over to them at full speed. He slowed down just in time to gently hug his grandma, as she was using a cane to walk. After a big kiss he grabbed her other arm and helped her in the house as Wyatt, who came over with the girls, helped Max with the bags. Amy and Ty came out to meet them and spoke up, "Surprise JT!" Lilly laughed as she hugged him again, "You didn't think I would miss my best buddy's 10th birthday, would you. And I hear there is a ring I need to see." Lyndy smiled broadly holding out her finger for Lilly and Max to see. Max smiled, "Good job Wyatt!" Lilly hugged Lyndy, whispering into her ear, which brought a smile to her face. The girls less Lyndy went back to finished the horses as rest headed into the house to get the visitors settled. It was going to be a great weekend.

As everyone returned Maddie, Annie and Addie had decided to make an offer to their older sister. Addie spoke for them, "So Lyndy, how about you hang with grandma and grandpa, go see the Heartland group and we will go with mom and dad to help with JT's party. Annie and Addie were free until this double date with Jeremy and Desi that night and Maddie was having Gwen and Caroline over for a sleep over. Lyndy smiled tearily, "That would be awesome, I want to see GG and Grand Mere as well as Georgie and Lou. Grandma and grandpa, can we drive you over, maybe we can bring lunch over from Maggie's?" Everyone liked the plans and got ready to get on their way. The girls helped Amy and Ty load up the truck with the kids goodie bags and the two cakes. The place was providing pizza and ice cream as part of the birthday party package. JT was riding with Mallory, Trent and Shawna while Doug was hanging with Lexi all afternoon. The party goers got on their way and Wyatt decided to go get the food in Lyndy's truck and let Lyndy drive them in his truck to Heartland, since Lilly seemed a little tired. The entire group would meet back at the house after all the activities. As the party group arrived, the girls set everything up while Amy and Ty met the parents and made sure the kids were accounted for. All total, there were 13 kids from JT"S class including the three of them. Amy thanked the girls several times as the group of rambunctious 10 and 11 year olds took a lot of work. Maddie laughed, "Actually mom we are having a blast, this place is a lot of fun, look at dad, he is out of control." Amy looked over and saw her husband right in the mix with the kids on the ropes course. She felt embarrassingly excited watching as his muscles strain as he moved over the course. Addie, looked at her blushing and whispered to Annie, "Look at mom, I swear they are like teenagers." Annie smiled noticing her mom's gaze, "I know, I love it." They hugged and went back to save Shawna from the slide area as she looked a little uncomfortable. After they stopped for lunch and the kids settled for a bit Amy, Ty and Mallory sat to the side. Mallory was smiling, "I am so happy I ended up back here. I never thought I would be happy again and here I am with and amazing son, stepdaughter, 4 year old and an amazing and caring husband who I love completely." She leaned into Amy with a little tear in her eye. Ty put his hand on her shoulder, "I know how you feel Mallory, this place and this family is pretty awesome." They all smiled as Maddie came over, "Ok old people, enough mushy reminiscing, these kids want to party." With Amy's go ahead the kids tore back to the different activities and the adults followed. The rest of the afternoon went well, especially since no one was injured. After cake and ice cream the kids settled and parents started to arrive. In lieu of gifts, JT asked his friend to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in his grandma's name. The parents of the partygoers were moved by his unselfish request and were very generous. The Bordens hopped in their truck after cleanup and headed home. They were looking forward to some time with the family before the twins headed out for their date and Maddie's friends came over. JT was focused on spending time with Grandma Lilly. Lyndy and Wyatt had a great day sharing their news with the entire family and a lot of the staff. Everyone was really excited for them and even though it was expected, Wyatt received a lot of congrats for the event and how special it was. They even made a call to his out of town relatives and let them know they would be invited to the wedding, whenever that was. Lou of course was already making list and plans. She knew Maddie would help but since she was in the wedding party it may give her a little opportunity to help more. Lilly was so happy to be with the family and really enjoyed the afternoon with Jack and Lisa as well as the evening with the family. She was tired but felt energized every time she visited, especially with JT. She became very emotional when Amy told her about his gift request and when she did she called JT over for a big hug. The family made it an early evening, but like always Ty and Amy waited for their twin daughters to get home. They didn't mind as it allowed them to cuddle on the couch and make out a little. Lyndy walked down to get some water and smiled as she saw them, never saying a word.

After a good night's sleep the Borden family and their guest were welcomed with a good family breakfast. They ate a little more since the figured that they could hold off until the family party for JT. Just after lunch the family and extended family were coming over to celebrate JT's birthday, along with the big engagement. JT specifically made sure that that was also a part of the celebration. Along with the ever expanding family, the O'Dell's, Walsh's Saunders, Rusty and Haley and a few others were coming as well. Unfortunately, Casey was by herself as Tim's health continued deteriorate. Lyndy and Wyatt went to see him and then bring Casey back with them. The visit did not go well as Tim was not to engaged as he continued to become more and more despondent. On the ride back, Casey thanked them for the effort but began to cry, "You guys I appreciate you coming over and I am so happy for you both. Your grandpa is not well and is getting worse. I am going to talk to your GG, mom and Lou, but I think I need to put him into a care facility. It is just too much to take care of him. I wish I knew how to but I just can't do it anymore." Lyndy reached back to grab her hand, "It's all right grandma, we will always be here for you and you need to make sure you take care of yourself." They sat quiet for the rest of the short ride until the pulled up too all of the party excitement. They hopped out and Lyndy immediately put her arm around her step grandma and walked into the house. Casey joined Jack, Lisa, Max, Lilly, Lou and Scott at what the kids called the elder area. Jack ribbed them a bit but he enjoyed the special treatment. As she walked away, Lyndy grabbed her mom, "Hey you need to go sit with them for a second. The visit didn't go well and Casey needs to talk to you, Lou and GG." Amy grabbed Ty's hand and walked over as Lyndy assured her she would make sure they had some privacy. The Borden kids, less the birthday boy made sure all of the guests had drinks and laid out some apps for them to much on. Per JT's request the midafternoon meal would be Maggie's fried chicken with all the sides along with the birthday cake, several pies and ice cream. Again per JT's request there were some presents but just from immediate family. The rest were asked to donate to the same place in Lilly's name, just like his kids' party parents did the day before. Lyndy's ring continued to gain a lot of the women's attention but as she smiled with Wyatt in her arms at all the attention, she kept an eye on her mom and dad who were now engaged in a serious private conversation with Casey and the others. She could help but notice that Amy, Lou and Lisa sat close to her as it seemed she was shaking a bit and crying. She looked at Wyatt and they silently made sure they would keep people away. Addie and Annie also noticed it and smiled at her confirming the need to keep people at bay. Maddie, Caroline, Ricky and Gwen were focused on the birthday boy, keeping him occupied as well, understanding that they needed to. The guest seemed all taken care of as drinks and apps were begin enjoyed.

Casey thanked all of them for talking with her, "Guys, I just have to say that Tim is extremely lost and I just can't handle his care anymore. He is reluctant but we have decided to move him to a care center that will help him with his demons but also take care of him. As you know he has lost a lot of weight, but most importantly his will to fight anymore. It was so sweet for Lyndy and Wyatt to come in and visit but he was not to responsive. He weakly smiled and went back to bed. Amy, I know Lyndy was upset but both of them were so strong. I know what they are feeling as it reminded me of when my first husband died of cancer." She took a breath and Jack spoke up, "Well, I know I have not always been in his corner but I have seen how drugs and alcohol can ruin a person, trust me I saw a lot of it during my rodeo days. Casey, you have done everything you could to help him, so I agree that maybe we need to get help for you. Lisa and I are fully supportive of your decision." The rest agreed by shaking their heads and grabbing her hand. Lilly moved to sit next to her, "Honey, I once had a discussion with Tim about our similar problems so I feel I may understand more than most what he is up against. I was lucky, I found help and finally saw my way out of it. Like Max, you are strong and hopefully this will help him. But ultimately it is up to him and you can't control that, you have to believe me when I say that. I know what that stuff does to you and trust me there is no greater a struggle to bear." Ty smiled at his mom and added, "Casey, I think we all agree with doing this and no matter what you are part of our family and will always be." Casey broke down and melted into Amy and Lou's grasp. Scott and Ty shielded the scene to make sure they had privacy. After a few minutes Lilly spoke again, "Honey, I can attest to the fact that a good birthday party always makes you feel better." Pointing over to JT, "That young man is my savior and has helped me more that you all know. I hope you can find someone as well to lighten your day." Casey smiled, "He sure is something Amy and Ty. What a joy and such a special young boy. I agree Lilly and I have someone in mind. Amy and Ty, while they visited, I got pretty emotional and Lyndy took me to the other room while Wyatt sat with Tim. She talked to me and helped me calm down. She is an amazing woman and I can see her offering her support as I get through all of this." She again began to cry and Amy leaned over and whispered loud enough for everyone to hear, "Casey, she already talked to me about it so I expect you two will be spending a little more time together. And you are right, she is pretty special." After quiet moments, Jack spoke up, "Well I agree but I think we are almost ready to eat, so let's join the party." They all smiled and headed to get drinks and a snack. The party was well underway and the guest were all in a great mood. Lyndy noticed that they seemed to be done and she walked over with Wyatt and gloated, holding out her left hand, "Have you seen my ring yet?" They all laughed and hugged her. As she hugged Casey, she whispered in her ear, "Grandma, I love you so much." They held each other as the others gave them some space. Wyatt smiled as Amy hugged him and Ty whispered, "Son, you have a pretty good woman there, don't mess it up." Amy smacked him as they all went over to join the guest.

The party was going well as everyone was settled in and enjoying the time together. The Borden girls each had their boyfriends with them and as usual JT, Shawna and Trent were always together. The Odell, Saunders and Walsh children were mixing will with the family kids in their age group. As usual, Katie, Clay, Haley and Rusty were hanging with the newly engaged couple. Lyndy continued to receive a lot of attention as it seemed that her smile couldn't get any brighter. The girls gushed when she described how the proposal went and privately how the night at the hotel went. Ty was walking by as the three of them, along with Addie, Annie and Camilla were giggling about their night together and put his hands on his ears, "La, La, La, not something I want to hear." They all laughed as he turned very red. Wyatt on the other hand was receiving congrats from the guys. He was not as open about their evening but that didn't stop them from razzing him. Desi joked, "I bet your night was action packed." Jeremy added, "Dude they share a room already." The rest of them agreed and were a bit jealous of his living arrangements. Clay laughed, "Do you know how hard it was to have any time alone with Katie. I mean we live in Jacks house and he hears everything. Even though she was his great-grand daughter, I still got the losing a limb speech." JT was being the perfect birthday boy making sure he talked with everyone and Amy couldn't help but notice that Shawna was always by his side. Even though a grade lower, she was only 6 months younger than him and they defiantly were very close. Mallory was sitting by them keeping Lexi occupied as Doug was with the men having a beer. "They are so cute Amy. Shawna is really fond of him, talking about him all the time. No matter what the three of them are really close." Amy smiled tickling Lexi, "Does Trent have any girls he likes?" Mallory thought, "You know he never really talks about it too much. He is a pretty laid back kid so I figure he just isn't into that yet. I know he really liked the twins group, especially Camilla, Bella and Maya. They seem to all hit it off. Who knows maybe he is an old soul." The older group was hanging on the porch which was heated with the drop cloths were down and opened up to the heated tent that had all the younger adults with their kids. The set up was perfect and allowed the little ones to have a chance to run around and see the horses if they wanted. Ty wandered over and sat close next to Amy. Lilly laughed, "Ok you two keep it G-Rated." Everyone laughed as Amy kissed Ty quickly on the lips. As they sat next to each other the smiled, whispering to each other. Ty sighed, "Amy, this is perfect. JT is an amazing kid, look how he works the crowd. I have watched him talk with every person here at least once and has spent time with the elder group a lot. And the girls are perfect host, even with their men tagging along. And Lyndy, I think she is going to burst. She has smiled non-stop and I think she might hurt her wrist holding her ring out for everyone to see. And Wyatt he just keeps looking at her with a look that is familiar. It's the one I have when I look at you." Amy giggled, "Well Dr. Borden our kids are amazing like their parents. And are you trying to swoon me, wasn't last night enough?" He leaned in and kissed her earlobe, "Never." Lou squawked from across the porch, "Didn't you hear your mother Ty, leave my little sister alone." The porch erupted in laughter and Amy was happy to see a smile on Casey as well. She was worried about her dad but decided that was for another day. She got up and told the crowd that the food was ready and led by JT they headed into the house for the buffet.

As soon as everyone was eating Addie, Annie and Maddie got ready for presents. Maddie had been keeping a running donation total and hope to have it for JT to announce later. As dinner finished and before cake, pie and ice cream JT opened his presents from family. He was excited about his presents which included a lot of fishing stuff, some books and his favorite present from his parents, a watch that allowed him to text back and forth with his mom, dad and siblings. It also allowed Amy and Ty to see where he was although he was pretty trustworthy. Wyatt helped get it set up and he had a lot of fun texting his sister and him funny stuff. They all had one too, before they got phones. Jack, Lisa, Lou, Scott, Max and Lilly started a certificate of deposit for him. They did it for the other kids as well when they were 10. Amy and Ty already had college accounts set up for each of them and privately had also set up a wedding account, as they knew having four girls would be expensive. JT looked at Max and asked, "So what is this for?" He laughed and since he was still small enough, he pulled him into his lap, "Well as your lawyer it is a good idea to have an account like this. You and others can add to it and when you retire it will be source of income to help you have a good life." He pondered for a second and laughed, "Ok, I think that makes sense but I have a question. I have a great life grandpa, will it get better?" Amy, Ty and the others looked on as he answered, "Well son, good point, you do have a great life. But I expect it will get even better. There may be some challenges but remember with family you can always get through it." He smiled and as he walked away after kissing Lilly's cheek, Amy came over to give Max a hug, letting him know that what he did was perfect. After a resounding version of Happy Birthday led by Lyndy and Amy, cake, pie and scoops of ice cream were given out. As they at Amy's phone rang and she smiled handing it to JT. He smiled when he say Jusitn and Maryanne Trudeau's smiling faces. Justin spoke up, Happy Birthday JT, are you having a good day?" He laughed, "I sure am I got some cool things." Maryanne continued, "Well we couldn't make it but if it is Ok, we want to donate to your cause in your grandma's name." He smiled even brighter, "That is awesome, thank you so much." They said no problem and Justin continued, "In fact the Trudeau Family Foundation would like to donate $10,000 and there is one more thing. When you have your final total, I am going to request a proclamation from Parliament, recognizing your efforts and total donation amount. Maddie, what do we have so far?" She pulled out her sheet of paper, "Well with your donation and what we have gotten tonight, we have collected $36,000." He smiled, "That is amazing JT, you are a very thoughtful young man." Lisa interrupted, "Well we have something else to say. The Board approved to match what was collected as a part of our charitable foundation so if my math is good." Maddie jumped in "$72,000!" The crowd erupted in applause and congrats for JT. Lilly pulled him into a deep hug as tears were in her eyes as with many others. Jusitn and Maryanne were in tears as well and said their goodbyes. The party settled back and as the deserts were finished everyone started heading home. Max and Lilly would be staying for a week as Lilly had a meeting with her medical team in Calgary and she wanted to attend JT's monthly session with him.

It had been a perfect birthday as the family settled for an early evening snack. As they sat talking Lilly looked at Lyndy's ring again. So Wyatt this ring is beautiful, is there a story behind it? And I need to hear the details about the proposal" He smiled and grabbed Lyndy's hand, "Well this was my Grandma's ring that she gave to my dad for my mom. Before she passed she gave it to me as I was the only child. Lyndy had seen it but I had put it away until I was ready to propose. I took some of the money left over from the truck fund she left for me and added the diamonds around the band and the two alongside the original. I wanted to make it special but still keep it close to the original with hopes of passing it down in our family. This ring is one of the few things I have left from my mom and dad so it is very important to me. It was only meant for Lyndy." He was a little teary eyes as they leaned into each other. Lyndy then went over the proposal in detail from the fancy dinner to the actual proposal where everyone had snuck in to witness. She showed Lilly and Max the video and they both smiled brightly. Lilly hugged her, "Lyndy that is something you will never forget for sure. Lyndy grabbed Wyatt's hand and kissed him lightly on the lips gazing into his eyes, "I know this guy is the best." The girls made their gagging sound a little and Addie commented, "Grandma and Grandpa its mom and dad all over again." After a look from their mom they apologized. Lilly smiled, "Girls, what your mom and dad have is special. I remember the first time I met Amy, I could tell she was good for him. I didn't give him the best life growing up and your mom saved him and made him realize that he deserved to be loved." Amy and Ty smiled as Max proudly put his arm around her as she lightened the mood. "But I do agree, they are both a lot alike and sure like to smooch and stuff." JT laughed, "Grandma did you just say smooch?" She grabbed him an pulled him in for a kiss on the cheek, "Yea just like that." Everyone laughed as Maddie, Annie and Addie went over to hug their grandma to make sure she knew they were sorry. Max laughed, "Ok, enough smooching. I for one am looking for that leftover pie." They continued chatting by the fire and went to bed as it was a school night but not before JT proclaimed it the best weekend ever.

Lyndy and Wyatt sat up a little longer in front of the fire to just hold each other and talk. After a little bit of time he noticed she had fallen asleep and he soon followed. A little bit before midnight, Lilly walked out to the living room on her way to the kitchen for a drink. As she walked by she noticed the two young lovers sound asleep in each other's arms. She also saw Amy quietly coming down the steps as she whispered, "I was looking for them, I figured they were still down here. They like to stay up and talk, especially when they have a late class." She took a breath and smiled and walked back into the kitchen with Lilly to have some tea. Lilly smiled, "Amy you and Ty have done an amazing job with all of your kids. JT is remarkable and such a kind and caring young boy. Maddie is as energetic as any kid I have ever met and her care for others is amazing. The twins are so beautiful and so much like the both of you. It so funny as they look alike but are so different. And that connection is pretty scary. And Lyndy and Wyatt, they are just like the two of you. As I watch them I can't help but notice that they look at each other like you and Ty do. I know I said it earlier but I can't thank you enough for saving my son. He had a horrible childhood and I can't even think about where he would be if it wasn't for your family, especially you. I have never seen a couple more in love." Amy smiled, "Well thank you, but you know he kind of saved me to. When he came here I was a mess. I had just lost my mom, my sister and I were at odds and the farm was in trouble. I felt all of this pressure to help and was really depressed. I have never told anyone but I was wondering if everyone would be better off without me until this juvenile delinquent almost ran me over. When I looked into his eyes, I saw the same thing my mom saw and decided right there that I was going to help him. And when Spartan showed up he was right there by me, helping me calm him." She smiled and blushed a little, "Do you know I basically saw him naked the first week he was here. I had this dream that I was Spartan and ran over to tell him in the middle of the night. I barged in, startling him and he hopped out of bed in his birthday suit. We both stood there stunned until I turned away and he covered up. Even as crazy as I expect he thought I was he came down and we helped Spartan together." Lilly laughed quietly, "And look at you now." They were interrupted but a sleepy Lyndy, "Hey what's so funny?" They both smiled as Lyndy whispered, "I am going to wake up Wyatt and head off to bed, good night mom, good night grandma. She hugged them both and headed up dragging a sleepy Wyatt. Amy and Lilly finished their tea and Amy headed up but not before she hugged Lilly. "Thanks for being here Lilly, the kids and Ty aren't the only ones who are happy, I am too. We love you grandma."
