Chapter 48: Returning to Nomalcy.
Izuku is currently heading back with the girls after speaking with All Might. The girls from his class and few from B had gone looking from him, to which he was confused by, he didn't know why they had gone through the trouble looking for him.
Izuku asked, "So, is there a reason you were looking for me?"
Mina pouted, "What, can't a girl come looking for a friend without being interrogated?" She crossed her arms, her face scrunched up in a mock-offended expression.
Izuku waved his arms rapidly, "N-No, that's not what I meant!"
Yui bluntly said, "Actually, I'm the one who came looking for you. The other girls came along when Setsuna mentioned you could be talking to other girls."
The girls' faces froze, their eyes wide with horror. Toru's eyes bugged out, her mouth hanging open as she took a step back, her hands raised in a defensive gesture.
Mina's face turned bright red, her eyes darting back and forth as she stuttered, "I-I...we were just...uh...concerned...about...about...uh, your safety, yeah!"
Ochako's hands fluttered around her face, her eyes wide with distress. Momo's face contorted, her mouth opening and closing like a fish.
Toru added, "W-Wait, no, no, no! It's not like we're... we're...jealous or anything!"
Pony chimed in, "I-I mean, we were just...worried, that's all!"
Momo quickly said, "N-No, it's not like that! We won't...I...I mean..."
Ochako stuttered, "W-We won't...get...the wrong idea...I-I mean..."
Yui just shrugged, "I just wanted to make sure you weren't getting too close to anyone...else. But right now, that's not why I'm here."
Setsuna deadpanned."You guys are way too obvious."
However, Izuku was confused."Huh? Why would you care if I was talking with other girls?"
The girls exchanged knowing glances, their faces a mix of amusement and exasperation. "He's incredibly dense," Mina said, shaking her head. Yui's expression remained neutral as she reached out and patted Izuku's head.
"That head of yours could give Diamondhead a run for his money." Izuku's face flushed slightly at the touch.
"But I came looking for you to show you something," Yui said, her voice even and calm, as she rummaged through her bag.
"It was sent over the weekend by a girl named... uh... Aoi, I think." Izuku's eyes widened in surprise.
"Aoi?! No way!" Itsuka's face also lit up with a bright smile.
"Aoi isn't just any girl," Itsuka explained quickly. "She's the one we met, who told us about what's been happening at Seijaku Gakuen Academia." The girls nodded in understanding.
Yui revealed a small plushie from her bag, and the girls' faces lit up.
"Oh my god, it's so cute!" Toru exclaimed.
Tsuyu squealed, "It's adorable, ribbit!"
Mina asked, drooling slightly, "Can I get one?"
Ochako squeezed the plushie, saying, "It's like having a pocket-sized Deku!"
Momo took the plushie from Ochako and studied it with sparkling eyes. "So... cute."
The girls continued to fawn over the plushie, their excitement and delight palpable. Yui watched them with a stoic expression, her eyes betraying no emotion, but she had some drool looking at the plushie.
Before she shook her head."Here. It came with a note."
Yui handed Izuku a letter from Aoi, her eyes gleaming with unshed tears. Izuku's hands trembled as he unfolded the paper, his eyes scanning the heartfelt message.
"Hey, Midoriya... Hope you don't think the plushie is too creepy. Thank you for saving me. I don't have family or many people in my life, but I saw others at the school who had it way worse. So, I'm going to try and help people in my own way. A lot of people are grateful for what you did. I made this plushie so everyone at Seijaku Gakuen Academia can feel like they have the Hero with them always. And thanks to My Hero. Hope you like it~ Aoi."
As Izuku read the letter, his eyes welled up with tears, mirroring the emotions of the girls around him. Hagakure openly wept, her body shaking with sobs. The others fought to hold back their tears, but it was clear that Aoi's words had touched their hearts.
The memory of Aoi's harrowing tale flashed back - her attempted suicide, the brutal bullying, and the twisted teacher's sinister intentions. He had been wondering how the girl was doing but knowing she wasn't at that school made it easier to sleep.
"Hope she's doing okay." Izuku said before feeling a hand on his shoulder
"Hope she's doing okay," Izuku said, concern etched on his face.
"Me too," Itsuka replied, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "But she's strong; she'll be alright."
Ibara wiped away a tear, her voice trembling. "I'm praying for the victims and their families. May they find strength and healing in this difficult time."
Pony and Yui nodded in agreement, their faces somber.
"I heard rumors about what happened at Seijaku Gakuen," Kyouka said, her voice barely above a whisper. "The students who spoke out were anonymous, but from what I gathered, they went through unimaginable hell."
Izuku's expression darkened at the mention of the school. "Oh, and Izuku, did you hear about Vice Principal Ryujin?" Kyouka asked, her tone cautious.
Izuku's scowl deepened, his anger simmering just below the surface. "No, what about him?" he spat out, his voice low and menacing.
Setsuna's expression turned grim. "Well, he was found hanged in his cell."
Izuku's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, really? He killed himself?"
But instead of feeling relieved or satisfied, Izuku's anger intensified. "That coward... he couldn't even face the consequences of his actions."
Itsuka and Setsuna shook their heads, their faces somber. "It wasn't like that," Setsuna said. "From the rumors and other cellmates, he had been screaming for 36 hours, begging for death."
Mina's eyes widened in horror. "T-Thirty-six hours?"
Momo and Tsuyu quickly spoke up, their voices filled with outrage. "How could the guards not say anything?" Momo asked.
Tsuyu added, "If the inmates heard the screams for 36 hours, surely the guards heard something too!"
Setsuna's expression turned somber. "You're forgetting that Seijaku Gakuen Academia is a prestigious school. Parents of CEOs, politicians, and wealthy business owners send their kids there. And those parents... they have daughters, too. I'm sure they wouldn't have let Ryujin spend the rest of his life in a cell, comfortable in his own skin. They'd want him to pay for what he did, to truly suffer."
Ochako nodded thoughtfully. "I can see it. My dad's overprotective, and I can only imagine what he'd do if what happened to those girls happened to me."
Momo pondered for a moment before realizing, "Yes... my father certainly wouldn't sit idly by."
Pony's voice was laced with disgust. "So the guards were probably paid off to ignore what happened."
Yui's voice was soft but firm. " Atleast he won't hurt anyone else."
Hagakure spoke up, her voice quiet. "I'm just glad it's over. But I wish he had faced real consequences, not just some twisted form of revenge."
Izuku stretched, his eyes drifting towards the horizon. "Though, can't say I don't agree,"
Kyouka's curiosity got the better of her. "Oh, by the way, what exactly did you do to the principal?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with intrigue.
Izuku looked confused before answering, his voice barely above a whisper. "He tried to break my mind, you could say... He made me see some stuff..."
Yui immediately saw the discomfort. "Izuku, what did he make you see?"
Izuku hesitated, avoiding eye contact. "O-Oh, it's not important... just dumb stuff."
Yui's firm tone brought him back to reality. "Izuku, what did he make you see?"
Izuku sighed. Before he told the girls what he was force to see, the girls face softened, but he made sure not to tell them everything like One For All and his father or any part that claimed he liked them.
Ochako's face turned green as she belched into a paper bag. "Dekiru... Did you really imagine the guy who insults my friends constantly, calls us bitches, insults you, my best friend, on a daily basis? Why on Earth would you think..."She gagged at the thought, as Momo gave a her another buff bag.
"We barely interact!" She vomited again, and Izuku's face flushed with embarrassment.
"I told you it was dumb," he muttered.
Momo and Kyouka chastised him, their voices filled with disbelief and hurt. "Izuku, how could you think we so little of you!" Momo said.
"Yeah, like hell we would say that!" Kyouka added.
Mina and Hagakure both shouted in anger, defending their friendship. "Izuku, you know I would never say something like that!" Mina said.
Itsuka placed a gentle hand on Izuku's shoulder, her eyes filled with concern. "Izuku, we're your friends, and we'd never hurt you like that. You know that, right?"
Tsu frowned, her voice direct. "That's stupid, Midoriya-chan. We'd never say that to you."
Pony's eyes widened, her voice soft. "I-I don't think that's true, Izuku. You're our friend, and we care about you."
Ibara's eyes shone with conviction. "Midoriya, I believe in the power of truth and compassion. We would never hurt you, for that would go against everything we stand for."
Setsuna's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Midoriya you're so gullible. Of course, we'd never say those things to you. We're your friends, after all."
Yui's hands grasped Izuku's face, her touch gentle but firm. "Your muttering is fucking adorable, Izuku. I know you think it's weird, but I see it as a way of saying what's in your mind. I get having so much on your mind you wanna just spill it out - that's why I'm so quiet, I can never find the words to express myself. But I know when I say I love your muttering, you adorable nerd." Her eyes locked onto his, filled with a deep emotional connection.
Izuku's face turned bright red as he gazed into Yui's eyes. He gently released her hands, feeling flustered. "T-Thanks, but don't worry, I'm not gonna let it bother me," he said.
The girls couldn't help but feel a little flustered themselves, watching how Yui had grabbed Izuku's face. "Okay, but that doesn't explain how you... uh... blew out his eyeballs and left him like that," Setsuna said, her face turning pink.
Izuku scratched his head, looking confused. "Oh, well, I transformed into Amphibian to try and escape. When he tried to shatter my brain and leave me brain dead, we were kinda playing tug of war... mentally."
He struggled to explain further. "It's like if someone forced you to play tug of war by tying your arms together, and you imagined untying yourself. I let go of the rope, and it metaphorically slapped him across the face."
Setsuna's eyes widened. "Wait, hold up - you have psychic powers?!"
Izuku nodded. "I mean, yeah, but I don't really know how to access them or anything. From what I read in the Plumber database, I'll be able to read minds eventually."
The girls' faces turned bright red as they stopped in their tracks, while Izuku continued walking, lost in thought. Ochako quickly caught up to him, asking, "D-Dekiru, uhm... have you read any of our minds?"
The girls' blushes deepened, thinking, "If he can read minds, he'll know how I feel..." They were absolutely embarrassed and fluttered by the idea of Izuku accidentally discovering their secret crushes on him. Ochako's face turned beet red, while Tsuyu's normally neutral expression was now a deep blush as she looked down.
The girls' faces turned bright red as they stopped in their tracks, their minds racing with thoughts.
Momo thought: "What if he's already read my mind? Does he know how I feel about him?"
"Oh no, oh no, oh no... he can read minds?! What if he knows how I feel?!"Ochako asked herself.
Ibara took a deep breath, her calm demeanor a contrast to the others' panic. As she had a small blush." As he read our minds yet? Does he already know how we feel? "
Izuku's response brought a wave of relief washing over the girls. "What? Of course not," he stated, his words accompanied by a gentle smile. The blush on their faces began to subside as they exhaled collectively.
"I don't even know how I'd go about doing so, and it's not a natural instinct for Amphibian species. It has to be trained to use effectively," Izuku explained, his eyes sparkling with sincerity. "And I don't think that's a good idea. I don't really want to read people's minds; it sounds like a massive invasion of privacy."
The girls nodded in agreement, seeing his point. Momo spoke up, "Yes, but it would be greatly effective when interrogating villains. You could extract information from them quite easily."
Izuku cupped his chin thoughtfully. "I mean, sure... But it's not like I can practice it. I'd imagine I'd have to constantly train it like a muscle."
Kyouka shuddered at the idea. "Yeah, and I wouldn't imagine anyone would be too happy with someone constantly entering their minds."
"Agreed," Yui said, her voice firm."I think I would prefer it if you knew what's on my mind without reading my mind." Yui said, Izuku's face turned little red at that.
Setsuna added, "Plus, a lot of people have things they don't want someone knowing. It might be super embarrassing. I know I have some stories that if someone read my mind, I'd die from embarrassment."
Hagakure snapped her fingers, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Maybe when we graduate, you could practice it on villains!"
The group turned to her, with their mouths agape and mortified expressions.
"Hagakure villains are people too!" Shiozaki shouted.
"Not just any villains, obviously," she clarified. "I mean, a villain hiding the location of a kidnapped child or something. You could totally read their minds and use them as practice."
Momo's expression turned thoughtful. "You could also uncover all sorts of criminal activities. It sounds terrible on paper, but the results would be beneficial."
Pony nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and it's not like you're the first hero to use telepathy for interrogation. Dozens of heroes back in the states use it regularly."
As the group continued chatting and walking, discussing their internships, Izuku couldn't help but smile. A warm feeling spread through his chest, accompanied by a gentle flutter.
...
Itsuka gestured dramatically as she recounted their encounter with Dr. Animo's mutant monsters. "And the mutated hawk was like 20 feet tall! Its wingspan was incredible!"
The girls listened with wide eyes and excitement. Izuku nodded, adding, "I was more terrified of the giant two-headed rattlesnakes. I'm pretty sure they could wrap around Mt. Lady in her giant form."
Tsuyu shuddered at the thought. "Ribbit, that sounds terrifying."
Itsuka continued, her voice filled with awe. "It was crazy, I've never seen mutant monsters like that before. But you should've seen Izuku take down the giant mutated mammoths as Four Arms!"
Izuku chuckled, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Yeah, but when I got slapped by that trunk, it really hurt, even as Four Arms. It felt like I got hit by a truck."
Setsuna's face lit up with a toothy grin, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Oh man, prehistoric mammoths! And giant rattlesnakes! I know Dr. Animo is absolutely insane, but do you think he could bring back some dinosaurs? Like a T-Rex, or a Triceratops, or a Velociraptor?" She geeked out, her enthusiasm infectious.
Izuku chuckled, happy to see her so thrilled. "I'm not to sure I'd be to thrilled about that especially the fact hell probably send them to kill me."
Setsuna slumped as she realized the situation."Aw, man, why does the guy who can bring back dinosaurs have also have a hate boner for the guy I'm crushing on totally not fair." She thought to herself.
As they entered Heights Alliance, Classes 1-A and B were gathered in the common room, discussing their internships. They settled into the couches and tables, snacking on chips and sharing stories.
"Hey, there you girls are!" Awase exclaimed, opening a pack of chips.
"Hey Awase," Itsuka replied, as they made themselves comfortable, setting down their bags and joining the conversation.
The room buzzed with excitement, the students eager to share their experiences and hear about each other's adventures.
Mineta slumped in his seat, his face contorted in mock despair. "I had to clean Mt. Lady's apartment for the entire week!"
Tenya stood up, swaying his hips back and forth. "My time with Gran Torino was greatly beneficial. I truly learned flexibility!"
Tsuyu watched, impressed, her head nodding in approval. "Nice moves, Iida."
The room was filled with lively conversation as both classes shared their experiences. Mashirao said, "I had an amazing time interning with Shippūjin. I learned so much about using my Quirk, Tail, to its full potential."
Pony nodded enthusiastically. "I know what you mean! Kōgetsu taught me how to master my Horn Cannon Quirk and improve my remote control skills."
Tsubaraba added, "I worked with Aragami, and it was incredible. I learned how to harness my Solid Air Quirk to create complex structures and platforms."
Awase grinned. "I interned with Jūjin, and it was a blast. I learned how to control my Quirk and fuse objects at an atomic level with precision."
As they shared their experiences, Izuku sat on the couch, looking stunned. , hold up - you beat up three prehistoric mutant mammoths and fought two mutated hawks?!" Awase asked, his eyes bulging in shock.
Izuku nodded sheepishly. "Y-Yeah..."
Izuku sat on the couch between Tsuyu and Yui, surrounded by other students from Class A and B. Awase's eyes widened in shock as he asked, "Wait, you're telling us you took down three prehistoric mutant mammoths and fought off two mutated hawks?!"
Izuku scratched his head, looking sheepish, and replied, "Y-yeah, I guess so."
The guys around him erupted in a chorus of disbelief and admiration. "Dude, that's insane!" they shouted, with one of them dramatically falling to the floor.
Shishida chimed in, "All I did was go on patrol..."
Denki grabbed Izuku's shoulder, his eyes serious. "Midoriya, do you realize what this means? A villain is obsessively plotting to destroy you! He's probably losing sleep, his eyes bloodshot from thinking of ways to kill you!"
Izuku looked puzzled. "Uh, he's just a crazy person?"
Sero snorted. "A few screws loose is an understatement."
Kaminari exclaimed, "Midoriya, you have your own Super Villain!" The room fell silent, with Pony and others looking stunned.
Sero shouted, "Oh, shit! That's awesome!" Izuku blinked, tilting his head in confusion.
"It is?" Izuku, Kyouka, Momo, and Itsuka asked in unison.
Pony excitedly got in Izuku's face. "Having your own supervillain is a staple for any top hero! Think about it, all the greats have one - All Might and Toxic Chainsawman, Hawks and the Flame Emperor, Endeavor and his long list of villains."
Todoroki, sipping on cold soba, chimed in, "Like, remember Kaigen Mizunami, the water-based quirk user? She was notorious for battling the old man a few years ago."
Izuku's expression turned gloomy. "I don't want a supervillain."
Awase teased, "C'mon, Izuku, it's like having your own Doc Ock - a crazy scientist trying to kill you!"
Kyouka joked, "Wait, would that make Green like Spiderman?"
Pony quipped, "Terrible luck, always getting targeted by a blonde guy for no reason, and surprisingly good with women... yeah, that's Peter Parker!"
Izuku's face turned pink as he said, "Can we stop? I really don't want to fight mutant monsters especially one designed to kill Miruko."
The group chuckled at his flustered expression, but Monoma's eyes narrowed, intrigued. "Wait, you mean Dr. Animo made mutant predators of Miruko's predators?" he asked, his voice laced with curiosity.
Izuku nodded, and the room fell silent, with raised eyebrows. "That's a little weird," Monoma said, his tone skeptical.
Monoma snorted, "Ha! Of course, you Class 1-A students wouldn't catch the subtle clues." He shook his head, his expression mocking.
Itsuka's eyes flashed with irritation, and she raised her hand, ready to strike. Monoma dodged and waved his arms defensively, saying, "Alright, alright, I won't insult your boyfriend... yet!"
Itsuka's face turned bright red, her eyes twitching, as Setsuna giggled. Monoma continued, "Miruko doesn't usually take interns, so it's strange that Dr. Animo created mutant abominations for her."
The classes exchanged thoughtful glances, and Setsuna said, "Actually, that's an excellent point."
"It's not that I find it strange that Dr. Animo targeted Midoriya, it's just that he seemed too prepared," Monoma said, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "I mean, who could have predicted that Midoriya would intern with Miruko? It's not like that information was public knowledge. Yet, Animo showed up with mutant monsters specifically designed to take down someone with rabbit-like attributes, like Miruko. It's as if he had inside information or somehow knew about the internship in advance. That's what's really unsettling."
...
Tenya's eyes scanned the room, his gaze lingering on each face. "I mean, the only people Midoriya told about his internship with Miruko were the teachers and... our classes."
The room fell silent, with students exchanging uneasy glances. Koji Koda fidgeted, his eyes darting around the room. Nirengeki Shoda's brow furrowed, his lips pursed. Sen Kaibara's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on some unknown point.
But then, Kurahiro chuckled, a deep, rich sound that broke the tension. "So, I may have done something... sorry," he said, scratching the back of his head. His eyes sparkled with amusement, and his smile seemed genuine. "I posted that Kendo was going to intern with Miruko, and one of my classmates helped me get a lot of followers on Zwitter."
Kiniko raised an eyebrow. "Really? I thought you didn't like social media. You said something about it being too tempting to explore your darkness or whatever."
Kurahiro's grin faltered for a moment, before he regained his composure. His eyes still seemed to hold a hint of mischief, but the tension in the room dissipated.
The students began to murmur among themselves, the conversation flowing easily once more. Laughter and chatter filled the room as if the moment of suspicion had never occurred.
Everyone went back to talking, their faces relaxed, but the suspicion lingered, a subtle undercurrent that remained unaddressed. Aoyama's eyes remained fixed on the floor, his face pale, but he too eventually joined in the conversation, his voice blending in with the others.
...
As everyone chatted, the TV hummed in the background, catching Izuku's attention. He got up to grab a snack, but his eyes were drawn to the news report. Seijaku's Gakuen students were being interviewed, their faces blurred to protect their identities
Izuku's heart skipped a beat as he watched, memories of his own bullying flooding back.
On screen, a student spoke of the torment they endured at Seijaku's Gakuen. "They'd call me weak, say I was useless...the teachers wouldn't even try to stop it."
Izuku felt like he was reliving his own nightmare. The student's words echoed his own experiences, and for a moment, he was transported back to those dark days.
Izuku's pupils constricted as the voices of his past bullies echoed in his mind. "Deku!" Bakugou's voice rang out. followed by the haunting phrases:
"What a freak!"
"Sorry, but that's not gonna happen."
"Loser!"
"Someone like you could never be..."
Izuku's breathing quickened, but he forced himself to take a deep breath in, closing his eyes. He exhaled slowly, pushing past the painful memories.
Without a word, Izuku got up and slipped out of the room, unnoticed by most. However, two people caught the subtle change in his demeanor and guessed the reason behind his sudden departure. They exchanged a knowing glance before slowly following.
...
Izuku gazed out at the city lights from the UA rooftop, lost in thought. Night had fallen, and the darkness seemed to match his mood. He had finally found a moment to process his emotions, and the thoughts he'd been avoiding began to surface.
He longed to confide in someone. His mom was his first thought, yet he hesitated. Sharing his experiences would mean revealing the bullying he'd endured, and he wasn't ready for that conversation. All Might was another option, but Izuku was unsure how he'd react - would he think Bakugou deserved punishment?
As he pondered, the door creaked open, and Jirou and Momo appeared. "Izuku..." Momo said softly, as they sat beside him. An awkward silence fell over them.
"Are you okay?" Momo asked, her voice gentle with concern.
Jirou spoke up, "I tried to understand why you suddenly wanted to talk, but then I realized... you were at Seijaku Gakuen Academia, even if only for a day. It probably brought up some bad memories."
Momo added, "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but we would be honored if you trusted us with this knowledge and allowed us to help you, just as you helped me."
Kyouka nodded in agreement. "I was so nervous and terrified when I told my parents I wanted to be a hero, but you gave me the push to follow my dream and ask my parents."
Momo whispered, "And don't think we're only doing this to repay you or anything else. Believe it or not, Izuku, we actually care about you. I think you might feel better having someone to share this weight with."
Kyouka added, "Yeah, and with everything you've been through, including Vilgax, this might be good for you."
Izuku looked down at his lap, unsure of what to do. He had been bottling up his emotions, and Seijaku had loosened the lid. If he was being honest, he almost felt like he might explode, so he tried to suppress these emotions. This was stuff he hadn't told All Might or his mom, and they only knew bits and pieces of it.
And with Kevin around, he had very few bruises to hide. But on the days when Kevin wasn't around, Bakugou and his friends made sure the beating was memorable. The rest of the school wasn't dumb enough to touch him, even when Kevin was around.
Izuku felt like a tightly packed gas tank, always on high pressure. School, One For All, living up to All Might and his father, and the constant threat of Vilgax were all taking a toll.
But the fact that Kyouka, Momo, and Tenya had seen the signs and didn't bother him to speak about it made it a little easier. Maybe.
"They really care about me," Izuku thought. "It's only been a few months since we've known each other, yet I feel like I've known them for a pretty long time, just like Itsuka and Ochako. I would have told Ochako, but I think she still thinks Kacchan and I have some kind of rivalry. And knowing Itsuka, I'm pretty sure she would be really overprotective if she found out the guy who bullied me for over 10 years was in the same class as me, and she couldn't be there to make sure I was okay."
Izuku thought for a moment before softly saying, "...Okay.
"I-I suppose it all began 11 years ago..." Izuku started, his voice barely above a whisper. "Kacchan and I were friends, believe it or not, when we were just four years old." Kyouka raised an eyebrow, her expression incredulous.
"I know it's hard to imagine, but we were inseparable, united by our love for heroes, especially All Might. We both dreamed of becoming the greatest heroes of all time." Izuku's face lit up with a faint smile, nostalgia flickering in his eyes.
"Heroes were my everything. I wanted to save people, to make a difference. And then... I was diagnosed as quirkless." Izuku's voice faltered, his gaze dropping to the ground.
Momo and Kyouka exchanged a curious glance, their faces reflecting their confusion.
"But, well... my quirk, it's complicated. It was dormant, hidden, until my body could handle it. That's when I met Yagi sensei." Izuku's words tumbled out in a rush, his eyes pleading for understanding.
Kyouka nodded thoughtfully, her expression softening. "I think I understand. It makes sense, in a way." Momo's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with doubts, but she said nothing.
"If you as now still break your bones and your not even using qauter it make sense, I don't want to imagine what would have happened if you used it when you were little." Momo said.
Izuku chuckled nervously."Y-Yeah, I don't think I would b-be here right now."
"Well I'm glad you're here."
Izuku continued, sharing how Kevin had protected him from the relentless bullying he suffered in middle school, where Bakugou's cruel words had sparked it all - announcing Izuku's quirklessness to the entire school, declaring him 'useless' and 'weak', and encouraging others to join in on the ridicule, making Izuku a target for everyone's scorn and mockery.
As he shared how Bakugou's daily torment had made him feel worthless and useless, Momo's grip on her skirt tightened, her knuckles white with suppressed anger, while Kyouka's eyes flashed with indignation, she honestly felt like slapping Bakugou.
"I always thought Bakugou was less than approachable... But hearing what he did to you, Izuku..." Momo's voice trailed off, her words barely above a whisper.
"Yeah..." Kyouka said, her voice laced with frustration, her eyes darting between Izuku and the floor.
"How are you so nice...?" Kyouka asked, her face contorted in frustration, knowing her friend had gone through so much torment. "How can you be the nicest guy I know? How are you not constantly angry, especially with that... that... blonde piece of shit! I know you beat him in the Sports Festival, but god, knowing what he has done for nearly 11 years, I'm surprised you didn't lose your shit."
Momo looked down, somewhat agreeing with Kyouka. "I agree... I don't think you should go around beating everyone up, but I'd get it if you were more guarded and cold. Anyone who went through that would be bitter and resentful. You're stronger than I could ever hope to be, Izuku."
A moment of silence passed before Izuku spoke up. "I... I used to think I deserved it," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. Kyouka and Momo's eyes widened in shock.
"That... being quirkless made me useless, worthless. I thought being put down was what I deserved," Izuku continued, his voice cracking. "I didn't tell Mom because she already blamed herself and worried about me... I didn't want to feel any worse. And Dad had just died, so I thought I should just endure it."
Momo and Kyouka were left speechless, their faces filled with empathy. Then, Izuku's voice grew stronger. "But after I saw what happened at Seijaku, it was a tough pill to swallow. I realized that no one deserves to be treated like that. The way I was treated was wrong."
Momo and Kyouka exchanged a glance, their expressions softening. Izuku continued, "I think that's why I have called Bakugou.'Kacchan' instead of Bakugou, Kevin used to tell me that the way I was treated wasn't right. I think that's why I saw him as a friend for so long-"
"A friend?!" Momo and Kyouka exclaimed in unison, cutting Izuku off.
Izuku groaned, anticipating their reaction. "Momo, pardon my language, but fuck Bakugou! He isn't a friend; 'acquaintance' isn't even the right word," Kyouka said, her voice laced with anger.
Izuku nodded. "Look, I know, but back then, I looked up to him. He never gave up; he was tenacious and worked hard to get what he wanted. He was my image of victory. Even though I don't know how I feel about him now, I don't hate him... or maybe I do. Maybe I just can't bring myself to say it."
Momo stared at Izuku, her expression intense, before creating a book from her leg and smacking him over the head with it. "Ow, Momo!"
"He's not your friend, Izuku! He's a cruel, impolite, egotistical bully. He doesn't deserve to be called a friend, especially by you!" Momo exclaimed.
Kyouka nodded in agreement. "Exactly, like Momo said, he's not a friend; he's a piece of shit, borderline villain. Picking on a kid who can't fight back? Whatever his reasons, that's the truth."
Izuku nodded, his eyes downcast. "I know... and that was back then. I thought we were still friends, even though the evidence said otherwise. But... I don't see him like that anymore."
Momo and Kyouka exchanged a glance, their expressions softening.
"Look, yes, at one point, but... after our fight in the Sports Festival, I realized we're not friends. I started feeling that way after Kevin disappeared; he constantly told me how Bakugou sucked. It was slowly growing on me, but after Seijaku... I realized we were never friends," Izuku admitted.
"It's going to be difficult to break the habit of calling him Kacchan," Izuku added, making the girls smile gently.
"Don't worry, I'll try to remind you," Momo said.
"Same goes for me, though I won't lie, I kinda wanna punch the blonde asshole in the face," Kyouka said unapologetically.
Izuku chuckled. "Can't say I don't agree. Though if he does bother you-"
"I'll be fine; I still managed to beat him in the Sports Festival," Izuku said with a soft smile.
Kyouka nodded. "C'mon, we should probably head back. Sato's making some cakes, and I could seriously use some food and light-hearted conversation."
"I couldn't agree more," Izuku said, smiling softly. Feeling little lighter.
...
Two days had passed, and the internship buzz had died down. Class 1-A was back to their routine, settled into their homeroom class. The students chatted quietly, awaiting their teacher's arrival.
"Wait, your costume still isn't repaired?!" Ochako exclaimed, surprised.
Iida nodded dejectedly. "Yes... and today's rescuing training would be the perfect opportunity to have it. But I'll have to make do without it."
Shoto raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you faster without the costume, though? I thought speedsters wore skin-tight suits for more mobility."
Iida sighed. "Most speedsters do, but my armor is designed to help with wind resistance. It's a big help when I'm moving at high speeds."
Ochako frowned sympathetically. "Well, you'll just have to wear the UA gym uniform for now. Hopefully, your costume will be ready soon."
Meanwhile, the rest of the class was in a state of panic, frantically trying to catch up on their schoolwork. Papers were scattered everywhere, and the sound of hasty scribbling filled the air as they desperately tried to complete their assignments before the deadline.
Mina slumped her head on her desk, "Crap, I totally forgot!"
Kaminari echoed her sentiment, "No way! Ectoplasm is going to chew me out!"
Mina turned to Momo, her eyes wide with desperation, "Momo, can I copy your homework? Please?"
Momo looked hesitated."I don't know Mina, maybe this will be good lesson for you."
Mina batted her eyelashes, clasping her hands together, "I know I should've done it earlier, but with the internships and the Sports Festival, I just didn't have time. Please, Momo? Just this once?"
Momo sighed, shaking her head, as she pulled out a boom from her bag "Fine, but only the math homework. You're on your own for the rest, Mina."
As Momo handed over her book, Mina's face lit up with relief, "Thanks, Momo! I owe you one!"
Kaminari watched the exchange, chuckling, "You're lucky Momo's a softie, Mina."
"For that softie comment you don't get to copy."Momo said.
Kaminari looked panicked before going on hands and knees."Please you're the greatest, beautifulest, smartest raven haired woman I have ever met!"
Momo rolled her eyes."I was joking but please contunie with your groveling."
Hagakure and Mina chuckled and giggled as Kaminari's face turned bright red from embarrassment.
"Don't forget, we have Present Mic's assignment due this week, and Midnight's assignment on how the first vigilantes became heroes," Shoji reminded them, working on his English assignment.
Kyouka tapped her jacks on the table, struggling with a math question. "Aw, man, Green, do you mind helping me calculate for X?" she asked, as she extended at the currently distracted Izuku she snaked reaching for his forehead.
Izuku, who was sketching Buzzshock in his alien notebook, looked up. "H-Huh?"
"Help calculate X," Kyouka repeated.
Izuku got up from his seat to assist Kyouka. Momo, walking by after handing Mina her book, caught a glimpse of Izuku's notebook. "Buzzshock, huh? Kinda cute," she thought.
As she was about to leave, she noticed something peculiar. "Note: Curious, will I be able to send an electrical current through Black Whip?" Momo wondered, "What's Black Whip?"
Just then, she heard Aizawa's footsteps approaching.
"Crap," Hagakure whispered, as everyone rushed to their seats.
"Hope that helps, Kyouka," Izuku said, hurrying back to his seat.
"Yeah, it does, thanks, Moptop," Kyouka whispered back.
Aizawa stepped in his usual tired look on his face."Morning class."
"Morning, Mr. Aizawa," the class greeted in unison.
Aizawa began, "Today's Heroics class will be a rescue exercise, led by myself, All Might, and Thirteen. We'll be doing something more extreme than usual. You'll meet at the Downpour Zone and be divided into teams. I'll assign the teams now to save time."
The class grew excited as Aizawa announced the teams.
"Team 1: Momo Yaoyorozu, Kyouka Jirou, Denki Kaminari, Toru Hagakure, and Minoru Mineta." Mineta jumped up, exclaiming, "Yes! I'm on a team with the two hottest girls!"
Momo and Hagakure glared at him, while Kaminari corrected, "Uh, buddy, I think your math is off. You mean three."
Aizawa intervened, "Mineta, keep your opinions to yourself. Nobody wants to hear your thoughts on the girls in our class."
Mineta shrank, trying to make himself small, as some classmates chuckled.
Aizawa continued, "Team 2: Izuku Midoriya, Ochako Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu Asui, and Shoto Todoroki."
The five teammates brightened up, except Shoto, who maintained his neutral expression but showed a hint of a smile.
Tsuyu thought, "Yes! I'm on a team with Midoriya-chan! We'll make a great team, ribbit!"
Ochako smiled, thinking, "This will be so much fun with my best friends on the same team!"
She glanced at Izuku, who smiled back, making her cheeks turn a little red.
Aizawa announced the remaining teams...
Team 3: Katsuki Bakugou, Mina Ashido, Ejirou Kirishima, Hanta Sero, and Yuga Aoyama.
Aoyama struck a pose, saying, "Don't let my sparkle distract you."
Bakugou warned, "Get in my way, extras, and I'll kill you."
Team 4: Rikidou Satou, Mashiro Ojiro, Koji Koda Mezou Shoji, and Fumikage Tokoyami
Aizawa concluded, "That's all. Now, Mic."
The class wanted to ask question before they he left as Present Mic began to teach the lesson.
...
Present Mic, compared to the other teachers, was the most laid-back and understanding. He occasionally allowed students to have some free time if the class finished the lesson earlier than the actual period. Currently, they were using this free time to finish up any work they may have forgotten or not yet completed. Most were finishing up the English essay on Julian and Rowan.
"Oh, man, writing a 500-word essay with only three days left? Aw, man," Ojiro said in frustration. "Guess it's another all-nighter. I'm glad I had those energy drinks in stock."
Sero was already yawning, feeling the exhaustion from his upcoming all-nighter. Even the most hardworking students, Momo and Tenya, were working on the assignment. Ochako turned to Izuku with concern, and Tsuyu looked on with concern as well, recalling Izuku's tireless training and how he was physically and mentally exhausted when he returned to the dorms.
"I bet Dekiru is more stressed than any of us. He's been training non-stop, and with the internships, he probably didn't manage to get any work done," Ochako thought.
"I hope Midoriya-chan is doing okay. He never seems to take a break, and with all the work we're being handed daily, I really hope he doesn't burn himself out," Tsuyu thought, putting a finger to her chin.
Momo looked on with the same concern. "Knowing him, he won't ask for help even though he desperately needs it. I'll make sure to come over to his dorm room and help him complete any work," Momo thought with a small blush.
However, Izuku himself, who was actually just reviewing his work, stretched before standing up and walking up to Present Mic's desk. "Sensei, I finished the essay on Julian and Rowan. I know it's due Friday, but I thought I'd hand it in early."
Present Mic raised an eyebrow. "Ah, Midoriya, you're done already? Huh, pardon my skepticism. Let me check it out."
Midoriya handed in his essay, and Present Mic scanned through it before nodding in approval. "Alright, seems you really got a pretty good understanding, and from what I can see, you hit the 500-word mark. Good job. You can take a chill pill."
Present Mic said as Midoriya bowed before walking back to his seat, where he sat quietly and listened to music that Kyouka recommended while reading a book Momo recommended. The class looked flabbergasted, but shrugged it off. However, as the classes continued, the confusion only grew as Izuku had all the work done and handed it in. Midnight made an innuendo that he worked too fast, making him blush.
The confusion only deepened as Izuku was famous for hims intense training and frequent sparring, making it a surprise that he could complete so much work. It was lunchtime, and Mina sat on Izuku's desk with a visible pout, alongside Hagakure. They stared at him with an unblinking expression, making Izuku feel like a mouse being stalked by cats.
"Uhm, w-what's up, Mina and Toru?" Izuku asked, trying to sound calm.
"How the heck are you so ahead?!" the class yelled in unison, except for Todoroki, Tokoyami, and Shoji. Bakugou had left with Kirishima, saying he didn't want to be near Deku, which Kyouka and Momo were internally grateful for.
Mina and Hagakure were extremely close to Izuku, their faces inches from his. He could smell Mina's sweet, fruity scent, reminiscent of strawberries and citrus, and Hagakure's gentle, floral aroma, like cherry blossoms and honey. Their proximity made Izuku blush, and he felt flustered.
"S-So close..." Izuku thought, his heart racing.
Mina and Hagakure's intense gaze didn't waver, their eyes fixed on Izuku as if trying to uncover his secrets.
"I'm also curious, Midoriya," Tenya said, his hand chopping the air, "with your class rep duties and the amount of training you do, how come you're always ahead?"
"Yes! Tell us your secrets, Midoriya! I would have more time with Ester!" Kaminari shouted.
Momo added, "I've been wondering that myself. You always have free time for training and to help anyone in need."
"And compared to the rest of us, you had an eventful week, yet you still managed to complete the week's assigned work," she continued.
Izuku showed them the Omnitrix. "I use Fasttrack to get everything done pretty quickly. It usually takes up around 40 seconds to two minutes of my day to complete, so I don't worry about falling behind."
They blinked at him as he chew it some of his lunch.
"Though it totally screws my perception of time." Izuku said
The class burst into a collective outcry, with shouts of "That's totally cheating!" filling the room. Their faces reflected a mix of jealousy and frustration, as they realized that Izuku's use of Fasttrack had given him a significant advantage. They couldn't help but feel envious of his ability to complete all his work in just a few minutes, while they had spent hours struggling to keep up.
"I know it's kinda cheating," Izuku said, scratching behind his head sheepishly.
"Midoriya, using your powers for such selfish gains!" Mina exclaimed, wiping away a dramatic tear.
"With great power comes great responsibility, Midoriya!" Hagakure added.
"We're a class that's supposed to struggle together!" Mineta, Sato, and Kaminari shouted in unison.
Izuku shrugged with an innocent look, while Momo simply shook her head.
"Great power comes with great beneficial gain, I guess," Kyouka said with a chuckle.
"How come you're not mad?" Hagakure asked, noticing Kyouka's calm demeanor.
"Well, not really," Kyouka replied. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm super jealous... if I had that amount of free time."
"But it's not like Fasttrack gives you a boost in super intelligence," Tsuyu pointed out. "You're just using the speed to get everything done as fast as possible, right?"
"And if you were all in Midoriya's position, wouldn't you all do the same." Shoto said as everyone began sweating as they looked away embarrassed, they would do the same thing.
"I would use Brainstorm shamelessly." Kaminari admitted.
"If it makes you feel better, when I'm ever stuck on a question, I get Momo to help me out, which is fun," Izuku said with a grin, making Momo blush and look down, her cheeks turning a soft pink.
"So, when you're stuck on a question, you have a literal raven-haired goddess, with a body like the Greek goddess Aphrodite? And when you're not having the Aphrodite goddess tend to your needs, you can complete an entire week's homework in a minute," Mineta said, his eyes wide with exaggeration.
Izuku felt the comparison to Yaoyorozu was mistaken. "Sure, Momo is beautiful, but a more accurate comparison would be Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom," Izuku said, his eyes shining with sincerity. This made Momo blush a little deeper, her heart fluttering at the thoughtful words; she fidgeted with her hands, looking pleased.
"Wait, we're Japanese; why are we using Greek mythology?" Tsuyu pointed out, raising an eyebrow.
"But my point still stands!" Mineta exclaimed, throwing up his hands.
"You guys have the added bonus of not having to train in 20 different forms with their own abilities. I only have two, and it's as difficult as it is," Todoroki defended his friend, crossing his arms.
"Thanks, Todoroki, but if you guys need help, I do have some free time," Mina and Hagakure said, pouting before Toru had any idea; they both folded their arms, looking sulky.
"Sure, Izuku, but only on one condition," Toru said with a playful tone, a sly smile spreading across her face.
"Uh, sure, anything," Izuku replied, his eyes narrowing slightly in curiosity. Toru blushed a little, looking away.
"I'll tell you later," she said with a small blush, making the boy confused; he tilted his head, wondering what she had in mind.
"And it's not like I'm the only one with super speed," everyone turned to Tenya, who blushed a little, his eyes darting down.
"I prioritize efficiency in my work, Midoriya, ensuring every moment is optimized for productivity," Tenya said with his hands moving in his robotic fashion, his fingers twitching.
"You just like doing homework, don't you, Tenya?" Ochako and Kyouka both said, teasing him; Tenya nodded enthusiastically, his face lighting up.
"...Yes," Tenya said with no hesitation, his smile unwavering.
Everyone chuckled at that. Izuku turned to Momo, his expression softening.
"I could help you out with the vice rep job, I mean-" Izuku began before Momo quickly denied, her hands rising in protest.
"No, thank you," Momo said firmly, her eyes sparkling with determination.
"But-" Izuku was about to protest, his brow furrowing.
"No, Izuku, it's the principle of things; you have your duties, and I have mine," Momo said, her voice gentle but firm; she smiled kindly at him.
...
Izuku turning the dial of the Omnitrix tapping the faceplate before nothing happened he slumped against he seat in dejection.
" Ah, man at this rate I'm never going to get it, "Izuku thought in rejection looking at the Omnitrix stuck to his wrist. Izuku sighed as the class were talking among themselves.
Izuku took out his notebook he had been seating next to Ochako who was surprisingly cheerful in seating next to him the other girls wanted seat next to him but she managed to wriggle seat next to him.
He was currently on a page with himself, looking at a drawing himself with some notes around his drawing.
Note: Black Whip huh curious on how it looks does look like and actual whip but black?
Under his note was some flimsly drawing of how black whip looks, like a whip from way back in the past coloured in black.
"Huh? What's Black Whip?" Ochako asked leaning in close and taking a peak at his notebook.
Izuku face turned red from how close she was. But flusterness quickly turned to panic.
"I-It just some doodles, nothing really." Izuku said quickly rushed out in a hushed tone."I-I just got bored and thought having whips like Midnight would be really cool."
Izuku said nodding with a closed eye smile but internally smacking himself."What am I saying?! That's the dumbest thing I have ever said! Seriously Izuku?"
Ochako tilted her head in confusion before giving a small smile."That's a little weird Dekiru."
"Y-Yeah," Izuku said scratching behind his head.
"Can I take look though?" Ochako asked. Izuku's face turned red a bit before showing the girl his notebook.
"Huh cool, though I didn't think you would be into the whole dominatrix thing." Ochako said.
"I-I-I am n-not I-I just having a whips like that would be really cool, you know I could latch and attach to things swing around kinda like..."
"Spiderman?" Ochako asked with a small grin.
"Well, actually, I was gonna say Sero, but that's way better." Izuku said they chuckled a little.
Ochako looked at the description of Black Whip and what it could do, it she studied it a bit before an idea started emerging from her mind.
"Hey, get ready. USJ is soon coming up." Aizawa said, the class got quiet within the bus as Ochako handed Izuku back her notebook.
...
Class 1-A were walking through the down pour zone however the place famously known for it's heavy rains and strong winds. The place was eerily quiet.
"So where are there teachers?" Kyouka asked walking around the zone.
"Yes, Mr. Aizawa said All Might and Thirteen would meet us here." Momo said.
"How long do we have to work around this getting annoying!" Bakugou shouted in frustration.
Izuku looked around, he was walking with Tsuyu, Tenya, Todoroki and Uraraka looking around.
"I wonder what kinda of training will be doing today ribbit?"
"Probably something that will put our life in mortal danger." Kyouka said sitting on her butt.
"Jirou you don't actually expect UA too not take our safety as our top piroty do you?" Tenya said.
"I would remind of all the time UA nearly killed us, but I have feeling you'll be getting a perfect example in a few minutes." Kyouka said.
Suddenly the speakers around the zone began to crackle before a loud a booming voice echoed throughout.{"Boo Ya! I am here in the speakers!"}
"All Might?" The class questioned.
"Now Class 1-A hope your ready for todays rescue training!" All Might's voice echoed thoroughout.
"Sir what would will the rescue training be today
{"No questions, now over the past weeks your battle prowess has shown significant improvement." Aizawa's voice came through the speaker.}
{"But battling villains is not what all being a hero is, since All Might became the top villains have been less active and if your going to be any pro hero you'll need to be able to rescue people at moment notice." Thirteen said.}
{"And if were being honest your rescue skills need substantial work." Aizawa said bluntly. }
"That's so mean." Sato said dejectly.
"Aw, man not all our quirks are meant for rescuing." Kaminari said slumping in dejection.
{"Stop complaining. Now I hope you all remember your teammates?" Aizawa said.}
Soon the class grouped together with the teammates.
"Good."
"Now today none of you will be victims you will all be heroes!" All Might shouted through the speakers.
The class erupted into cheers and exclamations.
"Yes!" They all chimed in unison.
"Finally we get to be heroes!" Ochako shouted while throwing her fist in the air.
"Tch. I don't gotta pretend like I need any of your extras help." Bakugou said.
Mina echoed, "This is going to be so much fun!"
Kaminari, however, looked disappointed, "Aww, man. I was really hoping to be a victim. I suck at rescue training."
Aizawa's stern voice cut through the chatter, "Enough talk."
He turned to Thirteen, "Thirteen, if you please."
The sound of marching footsteps filled the air, followed by the appearance of hundreds, perhaps even over two hundred, humanoid robots. They scattered throughout the zone, some wearing shirts and caps, awaiting the class's heroics.
"Robots?" Tsuyu asked, confusion etched on her face. "I take it these will be the people who will be rescuing?"
{All Might replied, "Exactly that, Young Asui. These robots will be simulating people in need of rescue."}
Tenya raised his hand, "Sir, what kind of situation will we be rescuing them from?"
{All Might chuckled, "That's classified, Young Iida. You'll just have to react as heroes. But I will say it's a natural disaster."}
The class exchanged worried glances, before the robots scattered around the zone.
"But sir how can we plan our approach if we don't know what we're up against ribbit?" Tsuyu asked croaking a bit
"Yes, will be going in blind." Tenya agreed.
"If we don't the disaster then, we can't affectively plan anything out, especially if it's some sort of natural disaster." Hagakure said with a bit of a pout.
"Maybe that's the point?" Mina said."Like in real life scenario's a natural disaster can happen at anytime,"
Izuku nodded. "She's right, we won't know what's about to happen the most we can do is react."
Momo nodded. "Yes, heroes need to be prepared for the unexpected. Natural disasters or emergencies can happen at any time, and we need to be able to respond fast."
Thirteen commented. "Well said Yaoyorozu. Adaptability is key in rescue operations."
"Exactly in real life, you won't have the luxury of knowing ahead of time." Aizawa said.
All Might added, "These robots will simulate civilians caught in a disaster. Your task is to save them."
Aizawa emphasized, "Now, take this as a real-life situation."
Thirteen reassured them, "Remember, this is just a simulation, so don't worry if some robots 'die' - it's all part of the learning process."
{Aizawa demonstrated, using a robot next to All Might, who crushed its skull. The robot exclaimed, "N-No, I am dead!" as its blue colors turned red.}
{Thirteen explained, "When a robot's blue colors turn red, it means they've 'died'. Your goal is to get as many robots as possible to the safe zone before that happens."}
All Might added, "If a robot is left behind or falls, it's considered a loss. Make sure to keep them safe!"
The class grew excited as All Might announced, "The teams with the most successful rescues will earn a special reward. Let's see which team will rise to the challenge!" He flashed a brown envelope and smiled.
Tenya asked, "A reward-based system? We don't usually get rewards for rescue training. What's so different this time?"
Jirou replied, "That's actually a good question. We're saving lives, and a reward will only make us want to compete with one another."
"Oh, by the way, how come aren't you guys over watching as usual? Where are you?" Kaminari asked.
"Oh, we're in a safe position," Aizawa said, leaving everyone perplexed.
"Huh what do you mean by that?" They all asked before the speakers were shut off.
...
Izuku felt a needle piece through his brain, danger sense was flaring off. He looked around frantically not noticing anything. However danger sense went off again, this time noticed by his teammates.
"Danger sense going off?" Shoto asked, Izuku nodded before activating the Omnitrix circling through his forms.
"Somethings coming danger sense it's in its low range so we probably have a minute or two."
"In that time we should get the civilians to safety." Tenya said to which Ochako and Tsuyu nodded.
However before they could do anything Tsuyu pointed out. "Wait but we don't know what the danger is?"
"It could be an Earth qauke, a hurricane or something, where exactly would we even..." Momo pointed as she approached the group.
"Izuku I believe we all need to work together." Momo said her tone firm.
This made everyone shock. Izuku however was a bit surprised, but however he couldn't argue.
"I agree." Izuku said.
"Uh, hate to be the bringer of bad news but were supposed to be competing with one another."
"Yeah! The most manly one of us will rescue the most citizens and win the prize!" Kirishima exclaimed, slamming his fist in his palm.
"Totally, that's why they put us in teams. Only one of us can get the prize. I really hope it's no homework for a week!" Mina said with a hop.
Izuku looked unsure. "Were supposed to take this a real situation. So would we really compete with other heroes to save people."
The class stopped before slowly realizing.
Momo agreed. "Mr. Aizawa said this will be a natural disaster simulation. I think they purposively placed us in teams to see that despite there's a reward for one team, we can still work together as one unit."
"That makes far more sense. We shouldn't let pride and arrogance overcome us, especially when lives are in danger," Tenya said.
"Some of our teams have something is lacking we only a few minutes.." Danger sense went off.
"I think... "He said, adjusting his head as if he was TV trying to get a good connection.
"Regardless. Midoriya's right for us to succeed. We need to work together. Some of our teams don't have the mobility or strength to save as many people as possible." Tenya said.
Hagakure nodded vigrously."I agree we can't do this alone!"
"I'm sure whatever the teachers have planned won't be easy. Having support from the other would be beneficial." Shoji said.
"The darkness preys on those who are alone together will repel anything that stands in our way." Tokoyami said.
"He means his in." Darkshadow said.
"As my sensei always says.'A warriors' strength lies not in their arms, but in their allies.'"Ojiro said.
"We can combine our quirks to maximize our rescue efforts ribbit." Tsuyu added.
"Alright, class rep and vice, I'm assuming you two will lead. Just let us know what you need from us." Sero said with grinning slugging his arm over Kaminari.
"Let us know!" Kaminari said.
The class erupted in cheers of excitement, Danger sense was still going off reminding this was all cute, but time was running out, from what Izuku could tell about 4 or 3 minutes.
Most of the class was in agreement... Well, most.
"As if." Bakugou growled out before he turned his back to the group. The class got quiet as his teammates tried to convince Bakugou.
"Dude, c'mon, Midoriya and Yaoyorzu-" Kaminari began as he was cut off by a yell.
"Fuck off! I'm not going to work with those fucking extras! Just because that pony-tailed bitch is sucking that nerds dick that doesn't mean her fucking theory is right! And like hell that does it mean I'm going to take orders from either of them!"Bakugou shouted his anger boiling over.
Momo looked somewhat hurt by the statement, and the glares from the other girls and guys only made Bakugou more pissed off.
But Bakugou didn't stop his tirade. "The point is to see who's the best in rescue! That's fucking obvious! Anyone with a brain can see that! That's how the real world works! We're supposed to prove we're the best!"
Bakugou commanded, "Raccoon eyes, tape arms, stupid hair, and laser stomach, let's go!"
Sero tried to intervene, "Can you stop yelling for two minutes? We're just trying to work with you; it won't kill you to accept help."
Mina added, annoyed, "Yeah, what are you, five?"
Even Kirishima was shocked by Bakugou's behavior. "What's up with him? He's never been this aggressive. What's going on with him lately?"
Momo deduced, "Ever since the internships, he's been getting worse. Since Midoriya beat him, he's been acting strange."
Ojiro tried to explain, "We can't physically save all the drones by ourselves-"
But Bakugou cut him off again. "You're not real heroes! A real hero wins! If you all want to kiss up to Deku and his bitch, then go ahead! I don't need any of you!"
Bakugou exclaimed, "I'm not going to help! We're supposed to win! That's how you become a hero! Being the best!"
Kirishima tried to calm his friend, "Dude, calm down and take a-"
But Bakugou wouldn't listen. When he heard Izuku's voice, he remembered how he'd heard that name all week, how people talked about Izuku being the next number one hero. The guy was incredible, and kids were already mentioning his name.
Bakugou's anger flared up again, and he shouted, "Fuck those two! I'm not going to help! We're supposed to win!"
Izuku tried to reason with him, "Bakugou, don't be stupid..."
But Bakugou's anger boiled over at the sound of Izuku's voice. He remembered how he had heard Izuku's name all week, how everyone talked about him as the next number one hero."Him? The next number one hero?! That useless worthless nerd! Just because he brought in some two bit thug and taking down that school?! Bulletshit! Deku only beat the fucking Principal... Why is everyone thinking his something!?"
The guy was incredible, and kids were already looking up to him. Bakugou's jealousy and frustration reached a boiling point.
[Flashback)]
Bakugou patrolled alongside Best Jeanist, sporting a combed-over haircut similar to his mentor's and wearing jeans. As they walked, a couple of kids noticed him.
"Hey, I know that guy!" one exclaimed, pointing at Bakugou. Bit soon his blonde combed over hair turned to its usual spikey as the kid mocked him.
"He's the one who got captured by the Sludge Villain! He was so scared!"
Bakugou's face turned beet red with rage. Explosions crackled in his palms.
"Talk to them like a hero, Bakugou." Best Jeanist said.
Bakugou forced a smile, "Listen, brats, I wasn't scared. I had the villain right where I wanted him."
But before he could continue, a blonde-haired kid spoke up, "Oh, I remember him now! He's the one who got beaten by Dekiru 10 in the Sports Festival!" Bakugou's eyes widened, and his face began to twitch with suppressed anger.
The other kid started making punching motions, "Yeah, Dekiru 10 didn't even use a form! He's so awesome! My favorite is Four Arms!" The blonde-haired kid chimed in, "I know, right? Everyone likes Four Arms, but I prefer the fire guy... uh... what's his name again?"
Bakugou's absolute rage boiled over, his mind racing with furious thoughts.
"That nerd isn't even here, why are these brats bringing him up?! Its fucking annoying if I have to hear another one of the things the nerd did Ill kill them...! Now people actually think his going to surpass All Might! That fuck! Just because he took down some two bit thug? And some fucking in school with their stick up their ass?!"
He clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms as he struggled to maintain a heroic facade. Best Jeanist's watchful eye on him only added to his frustration.
[Flash back over]
"We're supposed to work as a class, the zone is too big for one-" Izuku was cut off by a swift backhand, forcing him to the ground, clutching his nose.
The class gasped in shock, and the girls quickly rushed to Izuku's side. "Midori! Green! Dekiru! Midoriya-chan!" they shouted in unison, concern etched on their faces.
Shoto's face contorted in anger. "What the hell is wrong with you, Bakugou?!"
Mineta and Kaminari chimed in, "Dude, what the fuck?!"
Bakugou shouted back, "Shut up, you extras!"
An argument broke out, with Tsuyu saying, "You can't just hit someone anytime you want, Bakugou!"
Ochako added, "What's wrong with you? Dekiru didn't do anything to you!"
Bakugou snapped, "Shut up, you don't know anything!"
Ochako and Tsuyu stood firm, undeterred. "Look, it's no secret you two don't get along, but we need to work together," Tsuyu said.
Ochako nodded in agreement. "Tsu's right. We can't let personal issues get in the way of our mission."
Momo currently checking uo Izuku, making sure he was alright, she asked, "Are you okay, Izuku?" Her voice was however cold.
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"Good." Momo said
Momo stood up as the class continued to try and convince Bakugou. Momo walked up to him, her head down, everyone was still arguing.
"I don't fucking-" Bakugou began before a loud slap by Momo Yaoyorzu turning his head to the side. The whole class fell silent. Bakugou even himself fell silent suddenly being slapped.
Momo wasn't the violent type she would never lay a hand on a person unless necessary so watching slap Bakugou was something
"If you want to act like a child then leave." Momo said firm as she sent a daggers towards him. One that even some of her classmates took a stepback from.
"Were wasting time trying to convince Bakugou to work with us. We're heroes not children, and people's lives are at risk. This isn't playtime, where we can afford to coddle someone who refuses to cooperate." Momo said firmly. Izuku slowly getting up could only agree.
Some of the guys particularly Kaminari, Sero and Kirishima could only scratch their heads uncomfortably.
" Yet you all want to include him. If he can't let his ego and pride down for a moment so we can all succeed that's his problem. By arguing not only are we wasting precious time and breath. I won't waste time on someone who doesn't want to work with us it's illogical and a waste of effort. "Momo said.
"Yao-" Kirishima was about to defend Bakugou when. Momo sent Kirishima a glare.
"Were working to be heroes, and if you want to indulge in constant arguing with your classmates that's your problem. But don't you hurt our fellow classmates just to soothe your own ego and to mask your Inadequacy."
The words felt like someone cut through the air like butter. As Bakugou could only scowl as Momo turned and began to walk away.
The class squirmed uncomfortable mostly because she was right. Izuku stood up.
"S-She's right." Everyone looked at him. He usually includes everyone. He sighed in acceptance rubbing his nose.
"Midoriya you can't be serious-" Kirishima was about to defend him.
"Danger sense is going off we only have two minutes and we don't know what the disaster is we have been wasting to much time." Izuku said, he didn't like the idea of just not working with Bakugou... Okay he didn't like the idea of not working with his teammates. But Danger sense was slowly increasing intensity.
Momo began to walk beside Izuku as the rest of the classmates nodded before leaving.
Sero and Mina looked conflicted as Bakugou was walking from the rest of the group. "Ah, man, c'mon Sero, Ashido we need to catch up to Bakugou." Kirishima said both looked uncomfortable. Mina squirmed where she stood while Sero scratched his head. Mina stood there."Sorry Kiri but no," Everyone widened.
"Look this is supposed to be taken as a real life situation. Working with the majority is more logical and my quirk isn't the best for rescue so if there's anywhere I can help everyone I'll have to stay, you can go with Bakugou and honestly I don't feel like dealing with his temper." Mina said before she left giving an apologetic smile. "Sorry,"
Before she went off with other group. Sero scratched behind his head."Sorry, dude I'm honestly stoll kinda mad about the Spots Festival," Sero said before leaving with other group.
Despite the awkward moment, the group quickly sprang into action, forming a plan.
Momo asked, "Midoriya, how long do you think whatever happens will happen?" Izuku replied, "We have two minutes, tops," as the downpour zone winds began to pick up.
He continued, "I'll go Fasttrack and try to figure out what might happen," his voice rising above the growing wind. "You guys get the citizens to safety," he instructed.
Kyouka teased, "Oh, so we're supposed to be your backup, Green?" Izuku waved his arm rapidly, protesting, "N-No, that's not what I meant!"
His friends chuckled, and Kyouka reassured him, "Relax, we're only teasing." Izuku's face flushed slightly as he slumped his shoulders. "Come on, okay..."
As he turned to leave, Momo stopped him, saying, "Izuku, before you transform, please hear me out."
She advised, "I would suggest going with Big Chill or someone else. Take Shoji and Kyouka to a high vantage point." She pointed to the highest point in the facility, her expression serious.
...
"You detect where ever the danger is and Shoji and Kyouka can scout and with the quirks..."
"They can figure out what disaster will be facing!" They class said in unison.
"And with that we can act as quickly as fast possible you said we have about...
Danger sense went of it became a little stronger."About... 3 minutes uh.. maybe two and thirty sorry still trying to figure it out"
"Don't apologize, when you figure out will formulate a plan. While rescuing the drones." Momo said.
Izuku nodded."Kyouka, Shoji let's go!" He said running off he turn the dial.
"Cover your noise."
"Ah, man you don't have anyone else."Kyouka whined.
"Don't know why your complaining you don't have super smell." Shoji said with a monotone.
"Damn, okay now I feel bad." Kyouka said as green burst occurred Stinkfly stood where Midoriya was.
Shoji and Kyouka hoped before he shot of into the air his wings flapping like shuttering wings as he flew threw the air
"I'll make sure to make it up to you, just bare the stench." Stinkfly said before stopping at the roof of building Izuku transformed back. Danger sense was flarring of in all directions it was hard trying to pinpoint where it was actually coming from.
"I-It's like the dangers everywhere I-I'm not sure where it's coming from." Izuku said.
"How does uh danger sense work?" Shoji asked.
"It alerts me to danger, like needles piecing my brain." Izuku stated as the winds of the downpour zone grew a little stronger.
"Green maybe it's like my earjacks."
Izuku raised an eyebrow, as Shoji nodded.
"And also like my dupliarms quirks, instead of just sensing the danger you have to actually focus, like listening to a sound
"Or like listening for the beat in a song, or your favriote lyric, you actually have to focus on it." Kyouka instructed,
Izuku took a deep breathe in closed his eyes."I-I'll try."
Danger sense went off, he focused feeling he felt danger sense flarrin
"South west corner!" Izuku said opening his eyes.
Kyouka knelt down plugged her jacks into the building, while Shoji began to duplicate his arms creating an eye and ear from his tentacle.
"I hear... rushing water...?"
"Creaking of... A dam?" Jirou said
All three widened. "It's a flash flood!"
Izuku tapped his earpiece."Momo it's a flash flood!"
Momo on the ground widened. Alongside the rest of class 1-A as they all exclaimed.
"A FLASH FLOOD?!"
Kaminari began to panic, "Crap, crap, crap what are we going to do?! I can't swim! Fuck I was so afraid I'm accidentally elecrute someone so I never learn to swim! Fuck!" Kaminari was panicking before being slapped by Ashido as she grabbed her shoulders.
"Get a hold yourself!" Ashido said.
Momo and Tenya quickly began to charge with Midoriya over the comms.
"Todoroki, you head over to the south west corner." Izuku said over the comms.
"It seems to be make shift damn, and it's currently on the verge of collapse." Shoji said using his dupli arms to scan the area.
"We have minute, how the heck is he supposed to get there in time?!" Mineta said as everyone turned to Tenya who saluted.
"I'm not as fast Midoriya but I'll move as fast as possible!" Tenya said.
Shoto nodded."Okay let's go."
"Alright, climb on my back!" Tenya exclaimed, his sudden declaration leaving everyone in stunned silence.
Mina and Hagakure's widened as their face strained to contained giggles. The rest of the class stood frozen and silent.
Shoto on the other hand blinked twice before his usual face of neutrality returned and he turned away.
"He immediately rejected!" The class thought in comedic shock.
"Would you prefer bridal style?" Tenya asked.
Shoto turned to him with the most 'Are you serious look' accompanied with a deadpanned expression.
"..." Shoto paused, considering his options.
"Tch," he muttered before hopping onto Tenya's back. Momo couldn't help but let out a small giggle at the sight.
Shoto's face flushed with embarrassment. "Move, Iida," he said, his usually monotone voice tinged with a hint of discomfort.
"Okay, just make sure-" Iida began, but Shoto cut him off.
"Iida, please just move!" Todoroki exclaimed, his engines roaring to life.
"Recipro Burst!" he shouted as he blasted off like a bullet, accelerating to incredible velocities in the blink of an eye.
The wind whipped past them in a deafening roar, buildings blurring together in a green and brown smear as they rushed through the city.
Todoroki and Tenya arrived at the scene, where a dam-like structure loomed before them. Tenya skidded to a stop, his feet screeching against the ground, leaving visible marks. Izuku's Danger Sense surged to extreme levels as the dam began to crack beneath their feet.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Tenya and Shoto leapt out of the way just as the entire structure gave way, unleashing a torrent of water. The ground trembled, and the sound of creaking and rumbling filled the air.
Mineta's voice trembled with fear, "W-What's happening?"
Shoto sprang into action, summoning a massive ice glacier to freeze the rushing water and prevent it from engulfing the city.
Flames erupted on his left side as he declared, "I'll need to maintain a continuous ice barrage to push back the water."
"Seems Midoriya was right, it would be flooding."Tenya said looking at the glacier that Todoroki had been creating.
"Yeah," He groaned out, his breathe misty.
...
Momo seeing the glacier that was currently pushing back the flood. "Izuku was right."
"Then we need to get the citizens to a higher place Todoroki can't hold back it back forever."Tsuyu said as she was currently carrying a few robots with her tongue.
Sato was carrying two as he leapt digging his hands into the building as he dropped them on a building
Ochako floated a few into the air, while Sero used his tape to wrap around those floated in the air before dropping them into a building."The streets seems empty, I think we can head over to the rest."
"Hold on there's about 3 more, building in the top." Shoji said
Mina quickly ran into the building."My quirk isn't the best when it comes to rescuing best I can do is make sure everyone is safe."
Izuku quickly activated the Omnitrix and began going through the list of forms. "
You guys stay here," Izuku said. "If it's a flash flood, we can't risk you guys getting caught up in it." Shoji gave a nod.
Kyouka looked at him with a concerned expression.
"Hey..." Kyouka said, as Izuku turned with an eyebrow raised. "Yeah?" Izuku asked.
She scratched her head uncomfortably, a dusting of red on her cheeks. "Be careful," she said.
Izuku blushed a little before nodding and sprinting off.
He leapt from the building, and a burst of green erupted before his tongue stuck out and he swung himself away.
Kyouka's eye twitched. "I said be careful, and he jumps off a building."
"So 'be careful,' huh?" Shoji teased, as they watched Bullfrag swing away.
"Say a word, and you'll be choking on that mask," Kyouka threatened, as Shoji chuckled.
Bullfrag swung through the city, sticking himself to a wall as he wrapped his tongue around a robot couple before swinging them onto the roof. Izuku was still new to Bullfrag and accidentally threw them a little too hard.
"Ow! I'm hurt, I'm hurt, I'm hurt," the
Bullfrag winced as he saw the robots knee damaged. He then heard a ribbit as Tsuyu croaked as she put two robots on the roof.
"Midoriya, you need to be more careful. You need to let them down gently." Tsuyu demonstrated as she carefully put them down."You're trying to get things fast. Sometimes you need to pace yourself."
"I know how to pace myself." Bullfrag said with a shrug. He tried to make his point by sticking out his tongue and placing them on the roof.
"Thank you." The robot said with a bow.
"See?" Bullfrag said Tsuyu had to resist not rolling her eyes.
"I know they said we shouldn't be competing, but it won't hurt to have little friendly competition." Bullfrag said as he stuck out his tongue, making Tsuyu tilt her head in confusion.
"Try and keep up doll face." Bullfrag said as he swung away, Tsuyu's face flushed red. Before sticking her tongue out and swing away.
"I won't lose Midoriya-chan,
"No need to be so formal call me Izuku, or if you would prefer Bullfrag."
"Midoriya, please stop your making me flustered." Tsuyu said as she swung down, picked up two robotic bystanders, a family, she grabbed the kid, while Bullfrag swung down and lifted up the parents
"But I will take you up on calling Izuku," Tsuyu said.
"Your poker face is incredible, I barely can tell you're flustered." Bullfrag said.
"Ribbit." Tsuyu croaked as she tried suppressing her blush.
Class 1-A worked in tandem, efficiently relocating robots to designated safe zones on high ground. Todoroki maintained a steady stream of ice to block the dam, and the operation was proceeding smoothly. Tokoyami utilized Darkshadow to carefully place robots on rooftops.
Sato, positioned on the side of a building, was carrying a pair of robots when a sudden strong gust of wind swept through. The downpour zone, notorious for its fierce winds and rains, forced Sato to shield his eyes. The winds were so powerful that they compelled him to drop a robot.
"No!" Sato exclaimed as the robot crashed to the ground, shattering into several pieces. "I-I'm dead," the robot said, its blue eyes turning red.
Meanwhile, Sero was swinging through the air with robots in tow when the winds and rains intensified, causing his tape to weaken. He lost his grip and dropped two robots, but Ojiro swiftly reacted, using his tail to swing and catch them. "Be more careful! They may not look like it, but we're supposed to pretend they're actual people!" Ojiro admonished.
"R-Right, sorry," Sero said, looking sheepish.
Ochako, who had been controlling a few drones, struggled to maintain control as the strong winds blew them away. "Oh no, I'll release them!" she exclaimed, about to deactivate her Quirk.
"Ochako, wait!" Momo urged, but it was too late. Ochako touched her fingertips together, and the drones began to descend rapidly. "If you release your Quirk, they'll smash into the streets!" Ochako panicked.
Just in time, Tsuyu and Bullfrag intervened, catching the drones before they hit the ground. "Ochako, if you're going to float them, it's best if you join me and Izuku. We can't have them floating away," Tsuyu suggested. Ochako nodded and chased after the two.
"The rains and harsh winds may have been unexpected, but we can still-" Momo began, but was cut off by Todoroki's angry shout over the comms.
"What are you doing, you idiot!" Todoroki exclaimed, his tone conveying frustration and anger.
"Todoroki?" Momo asked.
Bullfrag while swinging touched his comms."What's going on?"
Tenya speeding through the city the harsh winds pushing him back made him stop as he touched his ear." Todoroki are you alright?"
Before everyone heard explosions, and they widened in horror. "You'll cause the entire-!" Shoto said in frustration, but his voice was cut off by static.
Bullfrag, swinging through the air, stopped at the side of a building, sticking himself to the wall. Tsuyu stopped next to him, and they squinted their eyes, trying to see what was happening. Then, they saw Bakugou creating explosions, and their eyes widened in shock. "Bakugou!" Tsuyu exclaimed.
Bakugou was rocketing towards the structure, sending off placed explosions, trying to bring down the buildings on the other side. "Relax, Icyhot! We have to block the dam, and the easiest way is through debris," he said, as he exploded towards the other side, creating large blasts. He made sure to store up sweat in his gauntlets, and the explosions occurred in rapid succession.
Everyone saw the massive mushroom cloud in the distance, where Todoroki had been holding back the dam. Soon, the building on the other side collapsed, crashing in front of the dam and piling up into a massive heap of debris.
As the explosions subsided, the team gazed out in amazement as the rushing water, which had been mere moments away from breaching the dam, suddenly slowed to a trickle. The roar of the impending floodwaters diminished, replaced by an eerie stillness. The water's surface, once churning and turbulent, now seemed almost calm.
Kyouka and Shoji listened intently and heard the water calm. "Did...he actually stop it?" Kyouka asked.
Shoto wondered the same, ceasing his ice barrage. His left side still smoldered with flames as he struggled to counteract the effects of hyperthermia, exhaling a frosty breath.
Bakugou flashed a smug grin, admiring his handiwork. "That's how you do it," Bakugou said.
Todoroki could only sigh in exasperation.
As everyone let out a sigh of relief, Kaminari spoke up, "Bakugou's kinda an asshole, but you can't deny he's got talent."
Mina scratched behind her head. "Yeah, I guess," she said, before sitting down on the ground.
"Hey don't be such party pooper your team won!" Denki said.
However Mina didn't feel like she won anything sitting on the ground as she remembered in Undertown, how Izuku opened up how Bakugou bullied him, and how he basically hit without provocation made her stomach turn in anger.
"I hope Midori is okay, maybe I should talking to him later." Mina thought.
Then Bakugou's voice crackled through the comms, "I made a decision that we would win! And look, my team saved everybody! Only the strongest can achieve a flawless victory! While you're busy wasting time listening to Deku's and Ponytail's-"
But before he could finish, Bullfrag's urgent voice interrupted, "Get to higher ground now!"
His Danger Sense screaming in alarm, he swiftly wrapped Ochako in his tongue and swung her to safety on the roof.
"Huh? Midoriya, the dam's-" Kirishima started to say, but his words were cut short.
A loud rumble shook the ground, and the team's eyes snapped towards the massive pile of debris that had been blocking the dam. But it was too late. A colossal tidal wave burst through the wreckage, sending water crashing down upon them.
Bakugou and Todoroki's eyes widened in unison as they struggled to comprehend the sheer force of the water. Shoto instinctively reacted by summoning a wall of ice to block the wave, but it was no match for the torrent. His ice shattered instantly, leaving him stunned and vulnerable.
Before he could even process what was happening, Tenya grabbed Shoto, yanking him to safety. Meanwhile, Bakugou blasted himself into the air, narrowly avoiding the deadly wave.
...
"Crap! We haven't saved everyone!" Kaminari yelled, carrying two robots on his shoulder as a wall of water came crashing down the street. The torrent was relentless, sweeping away everything in its path. Just as Kaminari was about to be engulfed, Tsuyu's tongue shot out, wrapping around him like a lifeline and pulling him to safety.
Bullfrag dove into the chaos, his agility allowing him to dodge debris and swirling currents. He snatched Momo and Mina from the jaws of the flood, swinging them through the air as the water raged below. Finally, he deposited them on a building's rooftop, where they collapsed, gasping for breath.
Sato, meanwhile, saw Koda get swept away by the rushing water. Without hesitation, he plunged into the torrent, fighting against the powerful currents to reach his friend.
The water was icy cold and unforgiving, threatening to drag them both down. Sato's muscles strained as he swam, his lungs burning, but he refused to give up. Finally, he grabbed hold of Koda, holding him tight as they both struggled to stay afloat amidst the turbulent water.
Just as Sato and Koda were about to be pulled under by the relentless floodwaters, Sero swooped in, his tape shooting out like a lifeline. Sato grasped the outstretched hand, feeling a surge of relief as Sero's tape wrapped around his wrist. With a swift jerk, Sero pulled them both to safety, swinging them up onto a nearby rooftop.
Exhausted, Sato and Koda collapsed onto the rooftop, gasping for air. They lay there, taking deep, ragged breaths, their chests heaving as they struggled to catch their breath. The floodwaters continued to rage below, but for the moment, they were safe.
Tokoyami used Darkshadow as an anchor, his Dark claws anchoring to the building. Aoyama was holding to Tokoyami's torso the boy was clearly shaking with in his armour that he could feel. They were suspended above the churning flood waters.
Below hordes of robots were now submerged their red glow eerily illuminating the turbulent water.
Shoji and Kyouka were on edge, their high ground offering little comfort as the water levels surged higher by the minute. Yet, in the distance, Shoji's keen eyes picked out a lifeline - Momo's resourceful handiwork, a sturdy raft perched atop a building, waiting to rescue them from the deluge.
Mineta clung to the rooftop, his Quirk sticking him to the surface.
Hagakure held on flash flood raged below, threatening to sweep them 's usual jokes were silenced by sheer 's grip on his arms tightened, her fingers digging deep into his skin.
"AHHHH! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO!?" Mineta exclaimed in fear."THE ROBOTS ARE DROWNING!"
"I don't know,", Hagakure stuttered out in fear.
"And it's getting even worse!" Mineta yelled, his voice laced with desperation, as he pointed towards the safe zones. They were being pummeled by massive waves, the water levels rising at an alarming rate. It was clear they had grossly underestimated the severity of the flood.
Momo's eyes widened in panic as she took in the scene. "Dammit!" she cursed, her mind racing for a solution. The situation was spiraling out of control, and their options were dwindling by the second. Momo took a deep breath allowing her thoughts to come through."What would Izuku do right now..." She asked herself
"Everyone, your priority is safety right now."She said over the comms."This is still an exercise, and unfortunately these are robots your life is far more important. Get yourself safety." Momo said through the comms.
Those who would began to make efforts to safe more robots quickly aboondanded the efforts and quickly got themselves to safety.
Aoyama and Tokoyami clung to the building as a rush of water threatened to sweep them away. "Aoyama, hold on!" Tokoyami shouted, but Aoyama's grip faltered, and he let go, crying out in terror, "Mon Dieu, protège-nous!"
Tokoyami yelled, "No! You fool!" as Aoyama was violently washed away by the powerful current. Without hesitation, Tokoyami jumped into the water, his Darkshadow quirk extending to anchor him to the building.
"Aoyama, hold on!" Tokoyami begged, desperate to reach his classmate. He swam towards Aoyama, his armor weighing him down, and stretched out his hand. Aoyama's drowning form was just out of reach, his hand outstretched, pleading for help.
Tokoyami chastised himself, "No, dammit! C'mon!" as he struggled to close the distance."Darkshadow do not let go!"
"Alright Fumi! Just get back!" Darkshadow urged as Tokoyami began to swim towards Aoyama, his armor weighing him down. Despite his struggles, Tokoyami pressed on, his eyes fixed on Aoyama's drowning form.
"No, dammit! C'mon!" he chastised himself, his hand outstretched towards Aoyama.
"Aoyama, hold on!" Tokoyami shouted, but the water seemed to push Aoyama further away, his hand slipping beneath the surface.
Tokoyami's eyes widened in horror as Aoyama's hand began to sink, his fingers slipping from view. "Aoyama!" Tokoyami yelled, his voice cracking with desperation as he strained to reach his classmate.
...
"Ribbit!" Tsuyu shouted as she pulled Tokoyami up and deposited him safely onto a life raft alongside his classmates.
Meanwhile, Bullfrag plunged into the water, fighting against the torrent's might to reach Aoyama. The current buffeted him about, threatening to drag him under at every turn. Debris swirled around him, a deadly maelstrom of splintered wood and twisted metal.
"Izuku!"Tsuyu shouted, her voice barely audible over the roar of the flood.
Still, Bullfrag pressed on, his determination to reach Aoyama driving him forward. He smashed through the wreckage, his tongue snapping out to wrap around Aoyama's arm. The current howled in protest, trying to rip them apart, but Bullfrag held fast.
Tsuyu's tongue wrapped around his own arm, and together they formed a human chain, struggling against the flood's fury. The water raged on, its roar deafening, but they refused to yield.
Finally, they broke through to the surface, gasping for air as they were pulled onto the life raft. Aoyama lay limp, his armor removed, as Momo worked to revive him. The current still churned beneath them, a reminder of the battle they had just fought and won.
"Is he alright?" Tsuyu and Bullfrag asked in unison.
Momo nodded, relieved. "Yes, he's fine!"
Kirishima's body was tossed about like a ragdoll, the torrent of water slamming him into buildings and debris with brutal force. His Hardening Quirk protected him from the impact, but it couldn't save him from the suffocating grip of the floodwaters. As the waves crashed over him, he struggled to break free, his voice muffled by the deluge. "Dammit, I can't get out of this! Crap!"
Just as all hope seemed lost, Mina's voice pierced the chaos. "There's Kirishima!" she shouted from her makeshift raft, before leaping into the churning waters to rescue her friend.
"Mina, wait!" Hagakure cried out, but Mina had already plunged into the turbulent waters. Ashido, seeing Kirishima trapped, held her breath and began to melt the debris entwining him, the sizzling sound of her Acid Quirk echoing through the air.
With a few swift motions, she freed Kirishima and grabbed hold of him, swimming towards the life raft with all her might. Hagakure and Mineta rushed to assist, helping to pull Kirishima to safety just as the water began to drain at an alarming rate.
The waves ceased their frantic crashing, and the floodwaters receded as suddenly as they had risen, like the swift draining of a bathtub.
As the winds and rains ceased, the students on the raft trembled, still trying to process the chaos they had just endured. Bullfrag swung in on his tongue, landing on the ground with a thud before transforming back to normal.
Tsuyu arrived soon after, her eyes scanning the area until they landed on Izuku. She rushed to him, wrapping him in a tight hug. "You're okay," she said, relief evident in her tone.
Izuku nodded, still catching his breath. "Y-Yeah. Let's check on our classmates." Tsuyu pulled away, concern etched on her face, before rushing to help the others.
Kyouka was coughing up water, her body shaking as Izuku approached her. "Kyouka," he said, his voice laced with worry. Kyouka's arms wrapped around him, holding tight as she struggled to speak. "Green..." she whispered, her voice hoarse from the floodwaters.
Izuku's concern deepened as Kyouka winced, her leg clearly injured. "Kyouka!" he exclaimed, helping her to her feet. But she stumbled, her leg buckling beneath her. Izuku caught her, his face etched with worry.
"Get on my back," he said, his voice firm but gentle.
Kyouka didn't have the energy to protest, her body exhausted from the ordeal. She nodded weakly, allowing Izuku to help her onto his back.
As they moved through the devastation, scattered robots lay motionless, their metallic bodies dented and twisted. The once-flooded streets were now littered with debris.
Izuku spotted Momo on the raft she was leaning taking deep breaths. Izuku moved to her side while Kyouka was still on his back.
Izuku rushed to Momo's side on the raft, concern etched on his face. "Momo!" he exclaimed, still carrying Kyouka on his back.
Momo looked up, her raven hair drenched and her eyes sunken. "Izuku..." she replied, trying to stand up but coughing up water instead. She finally managed to get to her feet, swaying slightly.
"Is anyone hurt or in need of medical attention?" Momo asked, her voice weak but determined.
Izuku hesitated before answering. "Jiro-"He felt a tap on his forehead from her jacks.
"I-I mean Kyouka...she has a sprained ankle, I think. She can't stand."
Momo nodded and created a waterproof mattress out of thin air. Izuku's eyes widened in shock. "W-Wait, you can still create?!"
Momo smiled weakly. "Yes, thanks to the Fatgum agency. Please put Kyouka down and bring anyone else who's injured."
As Kyouka was laid down on the mattress, Izuku asked, "You're not injured, though?"
Momo shook her head. "N-No, though my body is still reeling from the waves. I'll be fine."
Kyouka chimed in, "Yeah, Green's she's pretty tough. She will be alright"
Momo smiled slightly, her eyes still sunken from exhaustion.
Izuku nodded before surveying the area, searching for his other classmates. Mineta was frantically searching for Kaminari, his usual pervy nature replaced by worry.
Meanwhile, Mina and Hagakure, supporting each other, caught Izuku's eye. Their faces, though exhausted, lit up slightly as he approached.
"M-Midori," Mina said, her voice hoarse from the floodwaters. As Izuku drew near, they wrapped him in a tight hug. "I'm so happy you're okay!" Mina sobbed, her body shaking.
"Me too!" Hagakure added, her eyes welling up with tears.
Izuku smiled weakly, relieved to see his friends safe. "R-Right, I'm happy you're both okay, but-"
His gaze fell upon Mina's shoulders, where a fragment of wood was lodged, blood seeping from the wound. "Yeah, I was hoping Yaoyorozu could patch me up. Any clue where she is?" Mina asked, wincing in pain.
Izuku quickly guided her to Yaoyorozu's location, concern etched on his face.
Nearby, Kirishima was helping some of his classmates, his head hung low in thought. "Guess you had to save me again," he muttered, looking at his palm.
"Have I really not changed?" he wondered, his voice laced with self-doubt.
Ochako floated back down from the building, spotting Deku and her classmates in the distance. She saw Momo tending to Mina's shoulder, wrapping her in bandages. "Mina!" Ochako exclaimed, concern etched on her face.
Mina waved her off. "Ochako, I'm fine. Don't worry about it, sheesh, you're just as much a worrywart as Midori."
Ochako pouted, but her expression soon turned pale as her Quirk's aftereffects caught up with her. She felt a wave of nausea wash over her, her stomach churning.
She held her mouth, trying to keep it in, before lying down on the ground, her body trembling slightly. Her face was pale, with a faint sheen of sweat on her forehead, and her eyes looked glassy.
Momo tossed Izuku some pills. "Here, give them to Ochako, they should help with the nausea."
Izuku nodded and handed the bottle to Ochako, who raised an eyebrow weakly. "Momo said this should help with the nausea," Izuku explained.
Ochako nodded slightly, taking the pills with a trembling hand, her eyes fixed on Izuku with a mixture of gratitude and discomfort.
"Thanks," Ochako said before drinking some, before lying down
Tenya conducted a quick assessment, relieved to find that most students had escaped with only minor injuries. "It seems everyone's in good health, considering," Momo reported. "Tsuyu sprained her shoulder, and Hagakure did too. We all have a few bruises, scrapes, and cuts, but aside from Mina's injury, nothing too serious."
Kaminari's gaze fell upon the scattered robots, his expression grim. "We totally failed, didn't we?" he muttered, to which everyone nodded in uncomfortable agreement.
Just then, explosions echoed through the air, and Hagakure spat out, "And we all know who to thank for that." The group's glares converged on Bakugou as he landed, his face met with a chorus of disapproving stares. He scoffed, turning away with a dismissive "Tch."
The sound of footsteps approached, and All Might, Aizawa, and Thirteen emerged, their faces etched with disappointment.
"Well... Uh... It's safe to say the exercise is over," All Might said, his tone laced with a mix of frustration and concern.
The group's attention remained fixed on Bakugou, their disapproving glares unwavering. No one seemed to notice All Might's attempt to wrap up the exercise, too caught up in their frustration with Bakugou's actions.
All Might's words hung in the air, unacknowledged, as the students continued to shoot Bakugou pointed stares. The tension was palpable, the air thick with unspoken reprimands.
It wasn't until Aizawa cleared his throat, his expression stern, that the students slowly began to shift their attention back to their instructors. Even then, the glares persisted, Bakugou's actions clearly not forgiven.
"Alright, let's meet up for your review!" Toshinori announced, clapping his hands together.
The students slowly rose to their feet, assisting each other as they began to disperse. Kyouka, now on crutches, hobbled along, her peers offering supportive arms.
As they passed Bakugou, a chorus of disapproving comments erupted:
"We definitely failed, thanks to you, Bakugou," Sato said, shaking his head.
"Arrogant prick," Kyouka muttered, her voice laced with pain and frustration.
"Asshole," Sero added, his tone blunt.
"Selfish dick," Hagakure spat, her eyes flashing with anger.
"Explosive dumbass," Mina chimed in, rubbing her bandaged shoulder.
"Flawless victory my ass," Mineta snorted, helping Kaminari walk.
"Seems his arrogance and pride have only worsen."Tokoyami said
"Honestly," Momo said, exasperated, "his hubris could have gotten us killed."
The students' words trailed off as they continued on their way, leaving Bakugou standing alone, his expression unrepentant.
They all stood in front of the teachers.
Aizawa's stern expression left no room for argument. "This exercise was a disaster. The worst I've ever seen."
Thirteen's tone was disappointed but not surprised. "Normally, first-years manage to save around 60% of the drones. But this...this was a complete failure. No drones saved."
Bakugou opened his mouth to protest, but Thirteen cut him off. "It doesn't matter whose fault it is. What matters is that lives were lost. In the hero world, everyone is held accountable for such failures."
All Might's voice was firm but encouraging. "Yaoyorozu, Midoriya, as leaders and class representative, you two will take responsibility for this failure."
The class erupted in outrage, their voices filling the room. "Bullshit!" Kyouka shouted, her face red with indignation.
"I agree, sir," Tenya said, his voice firm but polite. "Despite the... colorful language."
Mina jumped to her feet, her eyes blazing. "Bakugou was the one who messed everything up, and it's not like Midoriya didn't try to work with him!"
Todoroki's voice was calm but authoritative. "If Bakugou had worked with us from the beginning, we could have prevented the flash flood. It's unfair to blame someone who had no control over the situation."
All Might raised his hand, his expression calm but firm. "Yes. It's unfair, perhaps, but that's the reality of being a hero and a leader. You must learn to take accountability, even when it's not entirely your fault."
The class gasped in shock, but All Might continued, "A hero's strength is not just in their powers, but in their ability to lead and take responsibility. Young Midoriya, you are the class representative. You must learn to represent your class, even in failure."
Aizawa's stern expression emphasized the gravity of his words. "As aspiring pro heroes, you may have sidekicks or team members under your leadership. When they succeed, it reflects your worth as a leader. But when they fail, it's your responsibility to take ownership of their shortcomings and learn from them."
The class nodded, some still looking uncertain, but none dared to speak out. Izuku and Momo, however, took the message to heart.
Izuku looked down, his voice filled with determination. Before they bowed. "I'm sorry...I should have accounted for Bakugou's tendencies. I'll do better next time."
Momo nodded in agreement. Before bowing as well."We both are. Midoriya and I should have tried harder to work around Bakugou's limitations or found alternative strategies. Instead, we left him to his own devices, and the result was tragedy. To our classmates, we're truly sorry we couldn't lead you all to victory."
Aizawa's expression softened slightly, but his voice remained firm. "See that you do, Midoriya. This is a harsh lesson, but one you must learn."
Thirteen added, "We've had many students like Bakugou before. Prideful, arrogant...but it's up to you, as leaders, to ensure they don't compromise the team."
All Might's face broke into a wide smile. "Now, onto the positives! First, Yaoyorozu and Midoriya showed exceptional leadership by discovering the true purpose of the exercise. You all were meant to work together towards a common goal, putting aside your differences... well, most of you," he said, his gaze sternly falling on Bakugou.
The class remained silent, their faces somber. Bakugou looked down, his expression unrepentant.
All Might continued, "Although one team would have received the prize, your failure to work together ultimately led to your defeat. And... since all the robots were destroyed," he said, shredding the brown envelope with a flourish, "no prize for anyone."
The students slumped in dejection, their faces fallen. Others were giving Bakugou a glare. Bakugou only crossed his arms.
"He doesn't even look apologetic." Hagakure thought in annoyance.
Denki tried to lighten the mood. "Hey, guys, the prize was probably something dumb like extra homework or whatever."
Tenya muttered, "I would've liked extra homework."
"I.. uh... Yeah I got nothing."
Aizawa pointed out, "And unlike other first years, you didn't have an early warning system, Midoriya." He pointed towards Midoriya who fell all eyes on him.
"Midoriya explain. " Aizawa said. Izuku gulped.
"U-Uh well remember when I used my quirk to enhance my vocal cords? How I can create a massive shockwave, so I-I thought why not try it with my brain."
Everyone immediately pictured his head exploding. The girls turned black and white in absolute fear.
"I used my Quirk to enhance my brain's sensory part, thinking it would give me some cool vision or something. Instead, it gave me a sixth sense." Izuku explained. Izuku internally thought.
"Actually that's a pretty good reason," All Might and Izuku thought.
Izuku's lie was convincing, even All Might thought so. But the others remembered the consequences of Izuku overusing his Quirk.
"AAAH!" Hagakure, Ochako, and Mina shouted in unison. "ARE YOU CRAZY!?"
Momo's tone was stern. "Midoriya," Izuku gulped she doesn't usually call him by her his last name. He made an audible gulp.
"You're going to Recovery Girl for brain damage."
Izuku gulped. "I-I am fine-"
Momo cut him off. "This isn't up for discussion."
Izuku nodded meekly. "Yes, ma'am."
Aizawa nodded, slightly impressed. "Regardless, you had an early warning system and made good progress. A few robots were dropped, but only about 10 were destroyed before...things went wrong."
Hagakure muttered, "Maybe if Bakugou wasn't such an asshole."
Bakugou glared at the invisible girl, who shot one back.
All Might concluded, "Well, have a good day, think about how to improve, and watch me speed away like a hero!"
With a gust of wind, All Might blasted off.
...
I want to know what you guys think of the chapters in between you know like Seijaku arc, uh the time between the Sports Festival and USJ. And let me know how to improve them. I know they can probably feel like a chore to get through, but let me know regardless.
Any feedback would be appreciated, whether it's complimenting the story, pointing out something wrong, or just giving out a suggestion.
Guest:: I guess I can see her like a love rival like in Canon where she's obsessed with Izuku but sorry she probably won't be in the harem, though she will still be thirsting after our boy. And I'll try to explore more.
Guest G:When you say I should show off the other girls what do you mean? Sorry about Himiko though she will still be thirsting after our boy though. I can't say what the next arc is you'll just have to read the next chapter.
Guest Justin D: Probably not going to do that sorry though I have been thinking of the girls one charm of bezel.
