Ch 51 Welcome to Unova

"Man, Team Plasma was really something," Hilda commented, looking at her newly Evolved Pignite. "Am I right, Pignite?" She asked her Partner standing neck to her.

"Pignite!" The Fire/Fighting-type agrees with his Partner,

The dark brunette trainer smiles at her Pokemon, petting his head.

"Hilda!" The young trainer heard her name being called by a familiar voice. She turns around as her friend Cheran and a blonde clumsy girl rushed over to her and Pignite.

Chern huffs, looking at his friend. "Hilda, were you able to retrieve the Skull from Team Plasma?" The black-haired boy asked her.

"We saw Lenora heading back to the Nacrene Gym saying that you all handled Team Plasma already." The blonde girl looks at her childhood friend, "Are you two okay? Both you and Pignite, I mean."

"Bianca's right, I heard you met one of the leaders of Team Plasma," Cheran commented, also concerned if they have done anything to Hilda.

Hilda nodded at her friend's concern. "Both Pignite and I handled ourselves well with Team Plasma. We didn't even Battle that man, he just told that Grunt that the Skull wasn't the one they were looking for and left." The dark brunette girl explains to the two.

Bianca looks at Cheran, curious about what those people are doing. "What is Team Plasma after?" She asked.

Cheran held onto his chin, trying to figure out what those people are doing. "I'm not sure, the only thing to do is to wait and find out-" The young trainer paused, hearing their Rotom Phones ringing.

They quickly took out their devices, answering whoever is calling. All three screens went into FaceTime, revealing to be a light brown-haired woman with forest green eyes, her hair in a unique bun, with red square earrings.

"Bianca, Cheran, Hilda, glad you all pick up," The woman greeted the three Pokemon trainers with a happy expression.

"Professor Juniper, this is an unexpected call," Cheran said to the Region's Pokemon.

Professor Aurea Juniper, Unova's leading Researcher on Pokemon Origins and Regional Professor that gives trainers their Pokemon. She smiles at them, being a while since they have spoken. "Sorry for the unexpected call, you three. I was a bit busy lately and didn't really have the chance to chat."

Bianca steps forward, holding both her hands. "Don't be, Professor. It's always nice to talk to you,"

Hilda nodded, "Yeah, so you're calling to catch up with us, Professor?" The young girl asked the brunette Professor, seeing every time she calls was to catch up.

"In a way, Hilda. You guys are heading to Castelia City, right?" Professor Juniper asked the three trainers.

"That's right Professor, we're heading to challenge Burgh the Gym Leader there," Cheran answers the Professor's question.

Professor Juniper laughs, seeing it was perfect timing. "What a coincidence, currently I'm at Castelia City right now." She informed the group of her whereabouts. "An old Colleague of mine is coming over from the Galar Region. I'm at pier number three waiting for them, if you all would like you can come to greet them with me." The brunette offers the trainers she found interesting.

Bianca answered right away, "Yes, of course, Professor! It'll be an honor to meet a friend of yours!" The blonde trainer stated, getting excited from meeting new people.

"It's fine, the Castelia Gym is right on our way," Cheren answers with dignity. "It would be a nice change of pace,"

The brunette nodded, seeing it would be fun meeting someone that the Professor knows. "I'm down, right Pignite?" Hilda looks at the Fire Pig Pokemon.

Pignite lets out a puff of smoke from his nose. "Pig! Pignite!" He agrees with his Partner.

"Alrighty then, I'll be waiting for you in the City." Professor Juniper stated, waving them a farewell for now. "Until then be safe." With that, the call ended, leaving the group to talk.

Bianca looks at her two friends, excited to meet Professor Juniper's friend. "I'm going ahead, just thinking of meeting new people is exciting." She said, making her way to the exit of Pinwheel Forest.

Cheren sighs, watching as their friend swiftly left the forest. "There she goes, not even taking the surroundings into account." He turns around and looked at his Rival. "Hilda, I'll stay here for a while to train for Burgh's Gym. The path that Bianca will lead to the Skyarrow Bridge into Castelia City." He informed the brunette trainer.

"Got you, come on Pignite onward to Castelia City." Hilda smiles at her Partner who gladly agrees.

"Pignite!"

Shores of Castelia City

-ZZZ- Attention Passengers, we'll be docking in five minutes. -ZZZ- The Announcer informed the Passengers of the cruise ship. -ZZZ- if you would look forward you would see the Castelia City Cityscape and offshore is Liberty Garden. -ZZZ-

A black-haired girl rushes to the railings, she wore a white turtleneck sweater, over it was a pink dress and a darker pink belt with her Pokeballs. She has black below-knee boots on and she has her hair down as it flows in the sea breeze.

Helena smiles, holding her hair from blowing through her face. "Professor, look! Castelia City," She points to the skyscrapers looming over them as they approach the docks. "We're in the Unova Region!" She said to her mentor.

Adam places his hands in his blue jacket's pocket. "Yes, we are, man it's been years since I've been here." The Pokemon Professor commented, smelling the air of the place where he learn so much during his Journey.

"You said that you studied Ancient Ruins with your Mentor, Professor?" Helena looks at her own Mentor, asking about his past.

"That's right, Professor Cedric Juniper took me in when I first arrived at Unova," Adam explains, looking out at the view as the ship started to dock. "I was really interested in the ancient ruins long before I decided to become a Professor. In fact, my Sister back in Sinnoh is looking after the Snowpoint Temple in Snowpoint City."

Adam saw that they have docked on the pier, and the Sailors are preparing to bring the bridge over to the ship's side.

Adam and Helena grab their luggage and proceeded to the exit. "I was referred to by Professor Rowen to Professor Juniper to study under him when he asked what I want to study." The blue and blonde-haired Professor continues telling his background to his Apprentice.

"I learned a lot from him, mainly about Unova's Legend of the Hero and the two Legendary Dragons. But learning from him is a bit tricky." Adam explains, "Most times he has the tendency of not finishing his sentence when things are important." The Researcher chuckles, reminiscing the days of his youth.

"I see, well at least you were able to get your diploma once your studies were complete." The Ability User commented,

Adam chuckles, exiting the cruise ship with the Ability User. "You're right on that, my dear Apprentice." He commented.

The two Researchers walk down the stone pier and into the busy loading dock.

Helena looks up at the City, seeing the towering skyscrapers before her. This City in Unova reminds her of Manhattan in New York City (though she has never been there) back in her old World. "Wow…now this is what I call the Big City." She commented,

"Well yeah, Castelia City is a major port for trade and travel from other Regions," Adam explains, noting the many ships leaving and entering the piers. "Mainly the ships that enter are large ships with large cargo or Passengers. Those smaller cargo ships go to Driftveil City, where they go into storage warehouses." He explains further the inner workings of the ports.

"I expect nothing less from a major tourist stop," Helena commented, looking around the pier. Her eyes caught some Pokemon scurrying around the streets and the people doesn't mind.

The Pokemon even stop at a crosswalk before crossing the streets.

Adam walks further into the stone pier, turning around to look at her. "Come on, Helena." He calls for her.

"Coming!" Helena quickly walks over to her Mentor, now entering the sidewalks.

"Professor, you said that there's trouble here in Unova?" Helena asked as they walk on the sidewalk to the pickup area. "What kind of trouble?"

"Well…you see Helena, the trouble I told you…how can I explain…" Adam ponders how should he break it down for her. He sighs, ultimately deciding to tell her right on the dot. "I'll be straight, currently there's a group of people calling themselves Team Plasma."

Helena blinks, hearing the name of a strange group. "Team Plasma?"

Adam nodded, looking forward down the street. "My Colleague explains that these people are going around the Cities and Towns, spreading their ideals that People should liberate their Pokemon." He explains to the young Researcher. "That People and Pokemon are better off living separately."

"Well, that's a lot of nonsense. Our World revolves around People and Pokemon living together," Helena stated, hearing the ridiculousness that these People are saying. "If Steven and the others taught me that both People and Pokemon depend on each other to live peacefully."

"That's exactly what I was thinking, Helena." Adam chuckles, ruffling her hair.

Helena pouts, pushing away his hand from his head. "Professor, I spent at least fifteen minutes doing my hair like this," She whines,

"Alright, alright…" The blue and blonde-haired Researcher removes his hand,

Helena rolled her eyes as they pass a few people.

A young trainer paused, turning around to see a black messy hair girl walking by him. "Ngh!"

A newborn infant with similar hair was sleeping peacefully in a crib wrapped in a pink blanket.

"Ah," The light-green-haired man huffs, having another strange memory appearing in his head. However this time was different, but he couldn't figure out why. He stood up, shaking his head. "Why am I getting these headaches all of a sudden?" N continues his way, however, he couldn't help but think of the person who passes by him. (End Song)

"Professor Juniper, t-they just came out of nowhere and took Munna." A blonde girl cried, getting frantic over her Pokemon being stolen. "I was resting and decided to play with her then they took her!"

Professor Juniper held onto the young trainer's shoulders, calming her down. "Calm down, Bianca. Don't worry, we'll help you find Munna." The brunette Woman turns to a young girl with dark skin and purple hair. "Iris, can you tell us what happened?"

"I sure can, Professor. I was just minding my business when Bianca scream for help." Iris explains to the group, "I saw two Team Plasma members run away with Bianca's Munna. I tried going after them but lost them to the crowd."

A young man with wavy light brown hair frowns at the situation in his city. "To think Team Plasma would go and steal Pokemon from loving trainers." He gritted his teeth at how extreme these people are. "Ms. Bianca, as Castelia's Gym Leader, I shall not rest until I retrieve your Pokemon."

The Gym Leader looks over to the dark brunette trainer before them, "Hilda, I know we just had our Battle but won't you and your Pokemon help?" He asked the aspiring trainer.

Hilda nodded, determined to help her Childhood friend, "Of course, nobody gets away from stealing others' Pokemon." She stated,

"As always, you have a good heart, Hilda." Professor Juniper looks at the trainers around her. "Okay, we'll divide the City. Look for any places that Team Plasma might be hiding." The Professor said, laying out the search grid.

"Oh? Are we searching for something, Aurea?"

Juniper sighs, knowing who this voice belongs to. She gave a smile to the person who spoke to them. "Professor Adam Ceder, you have come at the perfect time." She greeted her Colleague.

Adam chuckles, looking at the brunette woman. "Oh? And what time is that my dear Aurea?" He asked,

Hilda steps forward, making the summary short. "In short Team Plasma has kidnapped my friend's Pokemon, Munna." She informed the two new faces, assumably Professor Juniper's friends. "If you would, can we have your help in searching for Team Plasma?"

"Oh no, that's horrible," Helena stated, looking at the frantic blonde girl. She then looks at her Mentor, wanting to help. "Professor, I want to help with the search."

Adam nodded, wanting to lend a helping hand to them. "Of course,"

Burgh steps forward, "Professor, you'll be with me on the east side of the City, Hilda, and Professor Juniper take the right, and Iris and…"

"Helena,"

"Helena, lovely name…anyways you three go at the center." The Gym Leader informed the group where to start searching.

"Right," Everyone agreed, even without pleasantries Iris went ahead before turning around at Helena.

"This way to the center, Helena." Iris motions Helena to follow her into the City.

Everyone split up, trying to find wherever Team Plasma was hiding.

A few hours into the search, Helena and Iris were walking down the streets of Castelia City. "Hey," Helena looks at the purple-haired girl, hearing her calling. "So, yeah sorry for not introducing myself. Things were a bit hectic all of a sudden with Team Plasma,"

"It's no problem, I understand this is a serious situation so there wasn't time for really to do it," Helena answered the young trainer.

"So, starting from the beginning." The purple-haired girl turns to Helena. "My name's Iris, I'm training to be a Dragon Master."

"My names is Helena Potter, I'm currently traveling with Professor Ceder to become a Pokemon Researcher." Helena notices her hair was ruffling. "Hmm?"

"Axew!" The Dragon-type Pokemon exclaims, shocking Helena.

A green little Pokemon with two dull tusks appeared from Iris's purple locks. "Gah!" She was startled by the sudden appearance of the Pokemon.

"Oh, Axew, you don't scare people like that." The aspiring Dragon Master scolded her Partner for popping out like that. Iris looks at Helena with an apologetic expression, "I'm sorry for Axew popping out like that, he likes to scare people for fun. No matter how much I tell him, he doesn't seem to get it."

Helena shook her head, "It's fine, my Hatenna is similar to that. She likes to wander a bit whenever there's a new place." She explains, remembering how the Calm Pokemon followed her to Sootoplis City.

Iris blinks at the name of the Pokemon, "Hatenna? Oh, you just came from outside of Unova." She commented with a smile. "Bianca just told me you were at Galar. Hatenna, they're rare among these parts of the Unova Region."

"Really? That's interesting-" Helena saw something glimmering down the street. She saw a few people wearing strange robes like the Knights did back then. "Hey, don't those people look odd to you?" She points down the streets.

Iris looks at where Helena was pointing and saw the people they were looking for heading down the alley. "TEAM PLASMA!" She stated, turning back to her new friend. "Good eye Helena, come on! They went down that alleyway!" She leads the Ability User down the street.

"H-Hey, wait up!" Helena was taken aback at how fast Iris was on her feet. She shook her head and followed the Dragon trainer down the busy streets.

She tried to catch up with her, moving through the crowded streets of Castelia City. "Iris! Wait up, I can catch up with you!" Helena called out, seeing the purple-haired girl disappear in the crowd, losing sight of her.

Helena paused, taking a moment to look around the area to find where Iris went. "…I'm lost. No wonder people say New York City can be difficult to navigate without a guide." She sighs, continuing walking, now entering a park.

She looks around some more before walking forward. "Where could she go? Maybe I can-no wait, I didn't get her number…" Helena sighs, walking on a crossroad in the park.

"Maybe if I head back to the place I went to then maybe-" Helena walks on the path, not noticing that someone was walking from the right side. "Oof!"

Both trainers staggered back, colliding with each other. Helena shook her head, realizing she has bumped into someone, dropping their hat. "I'm sorry, I just got here, and I didn't see where I was going." She apologizes to the person she bumped into.

"It's fine, don't worry about it." Helena looks up, seeing a light green-haired trainer wearing a white colored shirt, a black shirt underneath, beige pants, and green shoes. On his side was a cube chained to his belt,

However, the most noticeable feature of this trainer was his long light green hair and his blue eyes. Eyes that are oddly familiar and calming.

Helena shook her head before speaking to the person before her. "Sorry again for bumping into you." She apologizes once more.

"No, don't be I was the one lost in my head." The trainer apologized, he then took a closer look at Helena, noticing that she was the person he'd passed by. "You, you look familiar. Have we met before?"

Helena tilted her head, not sure what this trainer was talking about. "I don't think so, I just arrived in Castelia City from a ship." She explains to the green-haired man. "Unless you're on the ship, then I don't think we've met."

The trainer nodded, "I see, well, in any case, you said you're lost?" He asked Helena. "I'm not sure if I could be any help to you there." He stated,

"Oh, it's not that big. I'm just looking for my friend, she has dark skin, purple hair, and-"

"An Axew in her hair? I think I saw them running in the direction you were going." The trainer points down the path back into the City.

Helena smiles, starting to head in that direction. "Thank you," She smiles before turning to the nice trainer she spoke to. "Oh, my name's Helena Potter by the way."

The trainer blinks at the name before speaking, "N, the name's N." N introduced himself to the familiar girl.

"Well, I'm grateful for your help, N." Helena waves at him before walking down the path. "See you around." She left the strange trainer and off to search for Iris.

N stood at the park for a second, watching the girl Helena Potter run off. "Helena…Potter…" His mouth spoke her name, a name that is oddly comforting and natural to say. "Potter…that name….it sounds familiar." He said to himself before turning around and heading to Nimbasa City.
