Ch 67 Gathering

Hilda huffs, climbing the long and winding staircase leading to N's Castle. She eventually made it to the midpoint of the stairs.

Looking around, she could tell that she made it to the top of the plateau behind the Unova League. Hilda also saw the many staircases were connected to the other side of the Plateau.

"N-Now which one is the right stairway to N," Hilda asked herself, confused by the many possibilities.

Suddenly she saw a looming shadow leap from the top of the Castle. Two Liepards leap from the edge, aiming for her, "Liepards!" Hilda exclaims, stepping back and quickly taking out her Partner's Pokeball.

"Emboar, knock away the Liepards!" Hilda tosses the Pokeball into the air, releasing the Mega Fire Pig Pokemon.

"EMBOAR!" The Fire/Fighting-type raised his arms, swatting away the Dark-type Pokemon.

Both Liepards hit the ground, unable to Battle further.

Emboar slams in front of his trainer, still in a protective stance from whatever team Plasma dishes out. "Boar,"

Hilda nodded, standing close to her Partner. "Stay on guard, Emboar. We're in Enemy territory now." The brunette trainer said,

"Those in accord with Fate are preserved, and those who rebel against Fate perish." The red-robed elderly man spoke, appearing at the center stairwell.

"Gillio of the Seven Sages."

"When the Way is forgotten, duty and justice appear," The grey-robed elderly man appeared on the left side of the Castle.

"Bronius,"

"One can lose the Forest for the trees." A blue-robed elderly man made an appearance on the right side of the Castle,

"Gorm,"

"If you make a mistake and do not correct it, that is a second mistake. "A dark, green-robed elderly man appeared next to Bronius,

"Ryoku,"

"Superior men understand what's right. Inferior men understand what will sell." A brown-robed man stood next to Gorm,

"Rood,"

"There are not two Suns in the sky, nor two sovereigns over the People." A purple-robed man spoke, standing next to Ryoku.

"Zinzolin,"

Six of the Seven Sages made an appearance before Hilda. Judging from their placement, they were blocking the path to the Castle and holding her here.

Hilda remains steadfast, not even phased by the sudden appearance of Team Plasma's Admins. "So I am to assume that you're here to block me from meeting N?" She asked them all.

Gillio steps forward, answering the holder of the Dark Stone's question. "Well…if anything should happen to our King, the result would be disastrous." He stated. "Ghetsis's perfect plan would be ruined, and that's not what we desire."

"The Six of us shall defeat you here and now, so our King will be able to pave the Future we seek!" The red-robed Sage announced,

"And to ensure that in case you manage to defeat us…" Zinzolin snaps his fingers, in response multiple Team Plasma Grunts came out of the Castle. Each has their Pokemon out to overwhelm the one Person who can rival their King.

Gorm grins at the Army they have, outnumbering Hilda by more than a Hundred. "We outnumbered you by one to a Hundred, Hilda White. Even if your Battling is impressive, you can't face an Army on your own."

Hilda scoffs, still retaining her confidence despite being alone with her Pokemon. "Even if you have an Army of Grunts, I will push forward and defeat N and protect the Unova Region as it is!" The brunette trainer stated.

Ryuko gritted his teeth, glaring at the young trainer. "Know your place, you impudent Child!" The Sage held out his hand, many Pokemon dashed forward in an attempt to stop her.

"Emboar, get ready for a fierce Battle." Hilda looks at her Partner, nodding in response.

"Boar!" The Mega Fire Pig Pokemon snorts, marching forward to Battle.

However, he sensed something was off, turning around he saw two Liepards and a spinning wheel-like Pokemon attacking from behind. "Emboar!" The Duel-type tried to defend his Partner, but he was too far away to act.

Hilda gasps, not expecting that they would attack from the back. She closes her eyes, expecting them to land a hit.

The ground next to her cracked, bursting out was a large Mole-like Pokemon that turned into a drill. The Pokemon drilled toward the three Team Plasma Pokemon, knocking them away from Hilda.

"WHAT!?" Ryoku reacted, not expecting Hilda to bring out a second Pokemon. He then recollected himself before glaring down at the brunette trainer. "No matter, even if you have a second Pokemon. You're still outnumbered!" He stated before hearing footsteps.

Hilda watches as the Excadrill landed next to her. "Exca…drill?" She questions the sudden appearance of the Ground/Steel-type.

"Not bad at all, Little Lady." Hilda gasps, turning around to see a familiar face.

"C-Clay!?" The brunette exclaims at the sudden appearance of a Friend. (Insert Victory Lies Before You! Arrangement ◓ Pokémon Black & White

"Y-YOU!" Rood steps back, shocked to see that Person here. "YOU'RE DRIFTVEIL'S-"

Gillio held out his hand, responding to Clay's appearance. "Crush him!" He ordered the Grunts.

The Grunts rushed toward the two trainers, attempting to defeat them. "Come on Clay, with you by our side we can defeat Team Plasma!" Hilda stated, gaining a second wind.

Clay scoffs, placing both hands on his hips. "Clay? What's with that scoff there?" Hilda asked.

The Ground-type Gym Leader smirks, looking at Hilda. "You know, Hilda White, it ain't just me…" Clay stated.

"Huh?" Hilda felt something dash past her legs, she saw a Herdier running on the Plateau. He barks, glowing a whitish hue before slamming into a Krokorok.

"Herdier!?" Hilda reacted, watching as the Normal-type flips back to the right side of the field.

Coming from behind the Loyal Dog Pokemon was his trainer. "Sooo Sorryyy…" The Woman spoke, petting her Partner on the head before leaning on her leg. "We all decided to stop by and say hello." Lenora smiles, waving at Hilda.

"Lenora!" Hilda smiles at the appearance of the Normal-type Gym Leader.

Bronius steps back in shock, "L-Lenora, the Nacrene City's Gym Leader…" Suddenly, he heard galloping from the other side, then a shadowy figure leaps in the air before bolts of lightning struck the Vanguard.

A zebra-like Pokemon slides on the ground after giving the Grunts and their Pokemon bolts of Electricity. Riding on Zebstrika was a blonde trainer, crossing her legs dramatically.

"Ignoring Team Plasma," The trainer gave a smug smile at the Sages before her. "Don't you know, that would be a terrible thing for us Gym Leaders to do," Elesa spoke, flipping her accessory dramatically.

"GAK! I-It's Elesa, the Nimbasa City's Gym Leader! Why is she here-" Zinzolin heard cries of pain, prompting him to turn around.

Making her way through the side, a green streak circled around through all of the Pokemon and Grunts. A Leavanny stood next to a brown-haired man, smiling at the fallen Grunts. "You see, we must do everything we can for each and every Pokemon as well." Burgh dramatically opens his arms before inclining his head to the Sages.

"W-What!? The Castelia City Gym Leader too!?" Rood questioned, before shaking his head and turning to the flying totem-like Pokemon. "Sigilyph! Use Psybeam to-"

Suddenly, a beam out of rings blasted through the flock of Sigilyphs. "Well, well, to think there was this much noise going on outside of the League," Everyone looks up, seeing a man in a dark blue suit with black hair combed upwards on the side.

Next to him was a Liepard, finishing up the Psychic/Flying-types. "Do finish these troublesome People, Liepard," The Man said, observing from the top of the Champion Chamber.

"G-Grimsley of the Elite Four!? Here, now!?" Gillio was in utter shock, not expecting a member of the Elite Four to make an appearance. "W-Wait, if he's here then that means…"

Looming shadows cover the entrance to the Castle, then six figures fell to the ground.

"Beartic, stop them from coming over!" Brycen cried out, dashing forward at the Grunts. He used his martial arts to subdue and neutralize the Grunts.

Beartic roars, grabbing hold of a Gigalith and tossing him at the entrance where the Grunts are spewing out.

"B-Brycen, Icirrus City's Gym Leader!"

A dark-skinned man punched his fist together, grinning at the incoming Grunts. "Now this is a brawl worth fighting for!" Marshal of the Elite Four grins, looking at his Partner next to him. "Let's do this, Conkeldurr!"

The Fighting-type Pokemon nodded, lifting the huge pillar in one hand and tossing it at the entrance.

"ALRIGHT!" Marshal yells, punching one Grunt before kicking the other.

A blonde Woman closes her eyes before opening them. "Team Plasma…you dare to disturb my sleep!?" Caitlin of the Elite Four exclaims, holding her hand to the side. "Gothitelle, Hypnosis!"

"Gothitelle…" The Psychic-type Pokemon's eyes glowed a bluish hue. Those who stare into it, immediately fall asleep.

Some Sages step back, seeing there were too many powerful Pokemon trainers in one place. "M-Marshal and Caitlin of the Elite Four! No way, no way, we can't-" Bronius steps back, afraid of the powerful trainers.

"Stop it! We are Seven Sages, we must defend our King's Castle from these arrogen-GAH!" Rood covered himself from the slashes of air raining down on them.

One of the Grunts saw the Seven Sages being attacked by a bombardment of air slashes. "The Seven Sages are being attacked! Defend them at all costs!" The Grunts and their Pokemon ran towards the Sages, however, they were met by a bombardment of their own.

"Oh, this will be an excellent insert to my books," A purple-haired Author was furiously writing in her journal about the events taking place. She then closes her book and looks down, "Alright, Chandelure, I've finished taking notes. Use Will-O-Wisps to cause disorder!" Shauntal ordered,

Next to her was a chandelier-like Pokemon, sending Will-O-Wisps at the Grunts and their Pokemon. "Chandelure…" The Ghost/Fire-type said,

A graceful cry soars above the Battle, sending Air Slashes at the Enemy. Swanna cries, diving down past her trainer.

Skyla held her hands to the side, announcing her resolve. "Unova's Skies..." She placed her hand on her chest proudly, "Will be safe with me!"

Zinzolin couldn't handle the situation anymore, he looked at the Grunts behind him and commanded them. "You there, stop those bombardments! We can't let chaos run amok here!" He stated.

The Grunts oblige to the Sage's orders, "Yes, Lord Zinzolin!" They took out their Pokeball, tossing them at the two trainers.

"Druddigon, end those two!" The Grunts ordered the two Dragon-type Pokemon to attack.

They headed to both Skyla and Shauntal, about to stop their attacks. However, a blue Dragon-shaped beam crashed into them "W-Wha-"

Iris ran out of the Champion Chamber as Axew landed in front of the fallen Druddigons. "Oh wow, I didn't expect this much resistance." She then shakes her head, focusing on her current task. "Anyway, you Team Plasma Grunts. Surely you didn't expect there might be resistance to your plot, right?" The aspiring Dragon master smirks.

The Grunts gritted their teeth, seeing that Iris was taunting them. "You Brat, we'll show you-AAAAHHHHHH!" The two Grunts were swatted away by a powerful Dragon Tail,

"HAXORUS!" The Ax Tusk Pokemon roars in the air after swatting away the Grunts.

Drayden steps beside his Apprentice, crossing his arms. "Iris, how many times do I need to tell you, not to taunt your Opponent." The Dragon master scolded the purple-haired girl.

"R-Right, sorry," Iris cheekily smiles at her Mentor.

"No matter, this is the only exception." Drayden glares at the Sages, struggling to maintain order among their ranks. "I certainly empathize with some of what you say." The Dragon master stated before raising his voice at them. "But I could never forgive that you reject everything else!"

Helena huffs, running up the stairs and entering the Battlefield. "Alright, Bianca has gathered everyone!" The black-haired trainer exclaims at the sight.

Adam joined up with his Apprentice with Leafeon, standing beside her. "Now this is what Team Plasma was missing. Now, remember what Anthea and Concordia said." He looks at Helena and Kirlia.

"Right, enter the Castle and go further in until we meet them," Helena said, remembering what the two Sisters told them.

"Let's go," Adam ran out with Leafeon following his lead.

Helena also followed her Mentor, still holding Kirlia in her arms.

The two made it past both Iris and Drayden, entering the Battlefield. Gillio noticed the pair, heading on their way, "Stop those two! We can't let them enter the Castle!" The Sage shouted as Krokoroks ran towards them.

"Oh no you don't," Clay quickly responded to the Krokoroks, "Excadrill, Metal Claw!" The Ground-type Gym Leader ordered his Partner.

"Exca!" The Subterrene Pokemon's large claws took on a metallic color, dashing toward the Dark/Ground-type Pokemon. "DRILL!"

Excadrill slashed one Krokorok while Emboar came in and thrust his fist at the abdomen of the other.

Clay chuckles, turning to Hilda, "Now that's what I call teamwork," The Gym Leader grins as Helena and Adam quickly joined in the fray. "Bout time ya'll show up, things are looking bad… for Team Plasma."

"We know, and we saw." Adam chuckles, seeing the path was still blocked by the Seven Sages. "We need through the Seven Sages, but they're blocking the path."

"Professor, I know I wouldn't suggest it. But we need to scare them to punch a hole in their lineup." Helena suggested a solution to their small problem.

Hilda nodded, trusting Helena's instincts. "Helena's right, this is our one and only chance to stop Team Plasma once and for all." She stated, determined to put an end to this.

Adam nodded, hearing their resolve. "Alright, Leafeon; I'm trusting you here Bud." The blonde and blue-haired Professor said to his Partner.

Leafeon nodded, wanting to fulfill his Partner's decision. "Then, Leafeon, charge in with an Aerial Ace!" Adam cried out.

"I'll help too!" Helena tosses Kirlia in the air, "Kirlia, Shadow Ball!" She smiles at her Partner.

"Kirlia!" Kirlia held her arms to the center, forming a ball of shadows.

Leafeon cried out, making a dash toward the Seven Sages.

The Duel-type released her Shadow Ball at the Sages as Leafeon grew a pair of wings.

Zinzolin growls, seeing the chaos that these Gym Leaders and Elite Four members were making. "Damnit, why is this happening? Ghetsis told us they were all willing to obey and listen to our King if we defeated Alder."

"Why, why? Why is this-" The Ryoku paused, hearing hurling sounds coming from the front. Before he could issue any orders, Shadow Balls reign down upon them. "GAH! RUN, RUN AWAY!"

"W-WHAT'S GOING ON? We can't possibly beat defeated like this, now way!" Gorm cried before feeling a slash that pushed him back. "GAH!"

The Sages were in disarray, unable to command or regroup to make a better plan.

"They're all fleeing! The Seven Sages are leaving the area!" Hilda exclaims, seeing a clear path to Brycen, Caitlin, and Marshal.

Clay stood behind the three, glaring down at them. "Go, we'll face these little buggers for ya'll." The Gym Leader told the three, "Defeat Team Plasma and restore the proper order of things,"

"Right!" Both Helena and Hilda exclaim,

"Girls, follow me. I'll guide you two to the stairs." Adam ushers the Girls to follow him, leading them to the stairs. (End Song)

Inside the Castle

N sat on his Throne, watching the Battle between the Gym Leaders and the Elite Four against Team Plasma.

"DAMNIT! THOSE SAGES FLED THE SCENE! WHAT SORT OF COWARDS ARE THEY!" N's blue eyes shift to his Foster Father, ranting to himself at how the Seven Sages failed him.

Ghetsis slowly took in a deep breath, calming himself at the situation. "Alright, there's no need to get all worked up over this." The green-haired man spoke to himself,

The last Sage turns to him, pointing his Staff at him. "N, you are to remain here on your Throne and wait for that insolent Girl to get her." Ghetsis orders his Foster Son to wait, "Once Hilda White gets here, you will defeat her and take Zekrom from her."

"Then, and only then things will turn out for the better." Ghetsis frowns at the Battle shown on the screens placed around the Throne room. "This may be a slight setback to how I envisioned, but things will fall back in place."

Soon the two saw a group of trainers make their way to the center stairwell, entering the Castle. N spotted Helena among the group, causing him to blink upon seeing her. "H-H-Helen…a…" He softly said,

Ghetsis heard the King of Team Plasma speak, prompting him to approach N. "N, that Girl you saw serves no purpose to our plans anymore. She's one of those who wished to condemn Pokemon of their freedom,"

"She is your Enemy now," Ghetsis removes his monocle, revealing his yellow iris. It glows, causing N to flinch before crying out in pain.

N screams, trying to resist the power Ghetsis has over his mind. But to no avail, Ghetsis's Ability is too much for anyone, even an Ability User such as N. After a few minutes of trying to resist, N's eyes became dull like before.

Ghetsis leans back, looking at his Foster Son fully. "N, tell me. What do you think of Helena Potter?" The green-haired Sage asked the King.

"Helena Potter is nothing more than a nuisance," N spoke robotically, with no hint of the former self. "She's too blind to see the Truth of Team Plasma's goals."

The Leader of the Seven Sages smiles, placing back his monocle on his right eye. "And what is your goal now?" Ghetsis asked his Puppet.

"To defeat Hilda White and take Zekrom from her hands." N answers Ghetsis's question, the answer that Ghetsis seeks from him.

"Good," Ghetsis walks towards the doors to the Castle. "Now, sit there while I deal with the intruders." The Ability User said before exiting the Throne room to face the group who entered the Castle.
