Ch 82 A Night to Remeber

Helena held onto Tory's hand as they followed Steven back to where his Uncle was. "Steven is your Uncle with your Parents?" The black-haired Professor asked her Boyfriend.

Steven looks back at her, answering the question. "Yeah, Uncle Rodrick and Yuko should be with Mother and Father if they can't find Tory." He looks down at his Cousin, smiling back at him.

"Keep holding onto Helena, Tory. We don't want you to get lost again." Steven smiles at his little Cousin.

The young Steel-blue haired Child nodded, "Okay Stevie." Tory responded, looking at Helena with a smile.

Helena smiles back, wanting to make Steven's little Cousin comfortable. "You know, Tory is very wary of Strangers," She looks up at Steven, hearing him talk about Tory. "He's very shy around them, as long as someone is there to introduce the Person to him, then he'll lighten up to said Person eventually."

"But Tory immediately hit it off with you," Steven smiles, turning his head to Helena. "He must really like you,"

"I just have a way with Children, Steven." Helena smiles, still holding onto Tory. However, she couldn't help but wonder about the name, Lund. She heard it before but can't exactly put her finger on it. "Lund, I'm sure I heard that name before." She said.

Tory looks up at Helena, hearing that he heard of his Father. "You heard of my Daddy, Ms. Helena?" The Steel-blue haired Boy asked the young Professor.

"In a way, I think I heard that name before but it's hard to put a finger on it," Helena answers the young Child honestly,

"Uncle Rodrick or Professor Lund is a well-known Professor who studies Pokemon/People relationship. He wants to make the World a place where People and Pokemon can live comfortably." The Steel-blue haired Champion continued, informing Helena what his Uncle does as a Researcher.

"Oh, really? So he's an Anthrozoologist then?" The black-haired Researcher asked Steven to which Tory responded with a question.

Tory looks up at Helena, curious about what that was. "What's an Antro..zoogist?" The young Child asked the Ability Users.

The black-haired trainer looks down at Tory, answering him. "It's someone who studies People and Pokemon relationships. Relationships like me and Kirlia," Helena explains to the young Boy.

Kirlia smiles as Tory, "Kirlia," She added,

"Oh, okay!" Tory smiles, still not getting what she means.

Helena couldn't help but giggle at Tory's innocence. Steven was observing her interacting with his little Cousin, smiling that she didn't mind him at all.

Soon enough, the four saw Steven's Parents, Uncle, and Assistant. "Daddy, Yuko!" Tory immediately let go of Helena's hand and ran to his Father and Assistant.

Rodrick turns around, smiling at the sight of his Son. "Tory, there you are. You had us worried." He sighed in relief, he then looked at Steven and Helena. "Thank you, Steven, and you, young Lady you have my gratitude." His eyes shift to Helena, noticing her.

"It's not a problem, I just saw Tory was looking a bit lost, so we offered to help." Helena looks down at Kirlia, nodding to his statement.

"Well, thank you for keeping an eye out," Rodick said before properly introducing himself. "Where are my manners, my name is Professor Rodrick Lund. You have my gratitude, young Lady, if it's alright, may I have your name?" The Professor asked Helena.

"It's nice to meet you, Professor." Helena greeted Tory's Father, "My name is Helena Potter, I'm a Professor too." She said, sharing a bit of herself with the Steel-blue haired Man.

Rodrick was intrigued, this young trainer was a Professor. "Really now? I must say, you're one of the youngest Professors I've ever met." The Professor commented, "Tell me, are you-"

"Helena, dear, it's been so long." Helena turns to Lydia, approaching her with Roserade by her side.

Rodrick and Helena look at the two greeting them, returning from the crowd. "I see my Sister returned; we can talk later." The Professor said, once again showing gratitude to her. "Thank you once again," Helena nodded, turning to Steven's Mother and greeting her.

Roserade approaches Kirlia, greeting her after so long. "Rose, Roserade."

Kirlia greeted the Bouquet Pokemon back, "Kirlia, Kirlia," She said, beginning a conversation with her.

Lydia smiles at the black-haired Professor, happy to see her after a few years. "My, you look gorgeous tonight." She said, taking a good look at the Ability User. "You look like a Princess,"

Helena smiles, humbly taking the compliment for her. "Thank you, Mrs. Stone."

"Come now, Helena. You should just call me Lydia, like I told you before." The white-haired Woman stated, wanting her Future Daughter-in-law to call her by her first name.

"R-Right, sorry Lydia." Helena smiles, accidentally forgetting what to call Steven's Mother.

Lydia smiles, nodding to Helena's correcting herself when addressing her. "There, isn't it much better to call someone by their first name?" The White-haired Woman asked the young Ability User.

Helena giggles, seeing Lydia was the same since she left. She then looks at Joseph, joining the conversation. "Helena or should I say Professor Potter?" Joseph smiles, hearing that she got her degree.

"Ah, I see Professor Ceder told you or…" Helena shifts to Steven, smiling innocently at him. "Steven must've told you." The black-haired Professor said, having a feeling that he told his Parents.

"Actually, both of them told us. Right Professor Ceder?" Joseph looks over to the incoming blue and blonde-haired Professor heading over to them.

Helena turns around, seeing her Mentor walking over in a blue suit with a hint of green in the leaf design on his sleeves and pants. His mask was a Leafeon mask, speaking about his Partner.

Leafeon was wearing a green bow tie with a black top hat on his head.

"Yep, I couldn't help but brag about my former Apprentice to my closest Friends." Adam Ceder chuckles, scratching the back of his head.

Helena noticed that her Brother and Zoroark were following their Mentor.

"Ara, and who's this handsome young Man?" Lydia looks over to the green-haired trainer,

N blinks at the white-haired Woman, seeing that Helena is acquainted with her. Based on the eye color, it's obvious that she's Steven's Mother. "Good evening, my name is N Potter. Mrs. and Mr. Stone, I'm honored that you invited us to your Masquerade Ball." He greeted the Stone Family.

"Ara, ara, aren't you humble." Lydia smiled, seeing how humble N was. "It's a pleasure to meet you N. I heard much about you from Adam," The retired Coordinator said,

"You work at the Daycare, taking care of the Pokemon there," Lydia asked, interested in the young trainer. "You also studied Pokemon Care in Paldea when you attended Naranja Academy with my Son and Helena."

N nodded, confirming Steven's Mother's question. "That's right, I prefer to work closely with injured Pokemon to find the problem." The green-haired trainer said, turning to his Partner. "Zoroark helps me manage the many Pokemon at the Daycare." He said,

Zoroark nodded, standing with his Partner.

Joseph nodded, looking at the Dark-type Pokemon. "How interesting, Zoroarks are very rare Pokemon. I never met a trainer who has one as their Partner." He said, conversing with the former King of Team Plasma. "They are very elusive to find in the Wild."

N nodded, smiling at the memories of him and Zoroark when they were younger. "I've known Zoroark since he was a Zorua." The green-haired trainer explains to them, "We practically grew up together, like Siblings." He chuckles.

"Oh how wonderful, it's so nice to see People seeing Pokemon not only as Partners for Battle but as members of a Family." Lydia clasps her hands together. "We also see Pokemon as Family. It's nice to have someone who shares the same ideals on Pokemon and Family."

"Speaking of Family, I heard that Helena has Adopted you as her Brother. Well, Older Brother considering your Age." Joseph said, talking to N about little things. "How is it being related to an interesting Person such as Helena?"

N chuckles, "I say it's like every Sibling relation that every Sibling in the World." The green-haired trainer explains to the two.

Helena smiles seeing her Brother interacting with more People. The music grew a bit louder, gaining her attention. "Oh, the music…" She turns around, seeing People and their Pokemon heading to the dance floor.

"Ellie," She turns to the side, hearing her Boyfriend calling her name. The music became louder as more People who desired to dance headed to the Ballroom's dance floor.

Steven offered his hand to Helena, placed his mask over his eyes, and smiled. "May I have this dance?" He asked her, giving a charming smile.

"Of course," Helena smiles, taking Steven's hand. She turns to Kirlia and Metagross, and they follow their Partners.

Steven smiles, gently guiding the young Professor to the Ballroom floor.

N and the others watched as the two went down to the dance floor, smiling at each other.

The music grew louder as Steven and Helena took their places on the dance floor. Steven gently held Helena's hand and waist while Helena placed her own hands on Steven's waist and shoulders.

Helena looks around, seeing everyone doing a similar motion. A simple step forward and back, the Pokemon who joined were doing their own thing with their dance Partners. "A bit nervous?" Steven asked her,

"Um…just a bit…" Helena replied as her eyes laid on their Partners.

Kirlia was spinning around Metagross while he floated, swaying side to side and following her Partner.

"This is my first time actually dancing with someone I…like." Helena blushed, a bit embarrassed that she had little experience in dancing.

Steven chuckles, smiling at the black-haired Ability User. "Same here, usually I stand at the corner while everyone is on the dance floor." He said to her, making Helena relieved that she wasn't the only one. "Here, I'll lead while you follow. I've watched everyone do this in the Past, so I got an idea of how to dance." (Insert The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke's Mansion ED Song MindaRyn)

Helena nodded, accepting the logic. "A-Alright," She chuckles, looking down at Steven, waiting for his first move.

Steven steps back as Helena quickly steps forward, "Gah!" The young Champion flinched, feeling Helena's foot step on his foot.

"I-I'm sorry, Steven. I didn't mean to step on your foot." Helena quickly apologizes to her Boyfriend, feeling bad she stepped on him.

"N-No, it's alright. It's bound to happen for first-timers." Steven said, knowing she didn't do it on purpose. "T-To be honest, I'm worried if I accidentally step on your feet." He said before taking a deep breath.

"Okay, on three…" Both Steven and Helena counted, pacing themselves. Steven steps back, followed by Helena, repeating the process for a moment.

Steven then shifts to the side, guiding Helena with his movements which she quickly followed. They move back then move forward a bit, before guiding Helena around him with his hand to the left.

Steven then spun Helena around in his arms, moving with the group in a circle.

Helena smiled feeling her arm being raised, being twirled around as they moved to the side. "I think I got it." She spoke, following the rhythm of the Music and Steven's guidance.

"Yeah, we just need to dip our toes in first before getting the hang of this," Steven said, stopping as he and Helena circled around each other to the right. "Ready? It's the same as the last time."

Helena gave a small laugh before having Steven guide her arm to the right. He then spun her around with one arm before grabbing her waist and holding pulled close to him.

Back where the Adults and N were, they watched as the two danced in sync with the other dancers on the floor. "Those two are in perfect sync," Lydia said, admiring how Steven and Helena quickly got a hang of dancing.

"To think Steven didn't participate in dancing," Joseph commented, happy to see his Son happy. "What do you think N? Do you think my Son is good enough for your Sister?" The navy blue-haired Man asked the green-haired trainer.

N smiles, seeing the happy expression on Helena's face. "It's not that I have a problem with your Son, Mr. Stone." The green-haired trainer answered, "I'm just looking out for Helena as a Brother, that's all."

Adam chuckles, knowing N has developed a protectiveness since Unova. "I understand you want to protect Helena, but she's a capable young Lady." The blue and blonde-haired Professor said, petting N's hair.

"What are you doing, Professor?" N asked, his eyes shifting to his and his Sister's Mentor.

"Come on, I'm just cheering you up, N." Adam chuckles, knowing N doesn't mind him petting his head. "I know how anxious you are when your Sister is off with someone who might hurt her."

N blinks before looking away from his Mentor.

Rodrick chuckles, seeing himself within the young trainer. "I see you're quite protective over your Sister." N turns to the Professor, holding his Son in his arms. "Any reason why?"

N nodded, feeling Adam remove his hand from his head. "Well…after an incident in Unova, I want to protect Helena not wanting her to experience that again." He said, still harboring regret when he was under Ghetsis's control.

"I see, then let me tell you something that might help you with your inner issue," Rodrick said, offering to help N with his protectiveness.

The green-haired trainer looks at the Professor, feeling like he can relate to him. "Alright, I'm willing to listen," N said, wanting to relax when Helena is alone with someone.

Back on the dance floor, Steven held out his hand as he twirled Helena around for the last time.

Soon the music ends, prompting both Partners to bow at each other. (End Song)

Helena smiles, enjoying the dance with Steven. "Well, that was enjoyable." She said, happy that she got to experience this with someone she loves. "I never danced like that before."

"Not bad for our first time," Steven commented, also enjoying the time they spent together on the dance floor. "Especially you,"

"Thanks," Helena looked over to where their Partners were. Both Metagross and Kirlia approached them after they were done with their dance. "Seems like both Metagross and Kirlia are finished with their dance."

Steven turns to their Partners, who look like they are a bit hungry. "Yeah, let's go to the others first," The Steel-blue haired Champion said, "I didn't greet them yet."

Helena nodded and their Partners all obliged to the idea.

Upon reaching the table their Friends went over to them immediately. "Ellie, you and Steven were beautiful out there!" Flannery exclaims, never seeing two People in sync.

Brawly nudges Steven's side, causing him to move away. "Never knew you got those moves on you, Stevie." The Sky-blue haired trainer laughs,

"H-Hey, don't nudge me there, Brawls." Steven laughs, moving away from his Friend, "Why are you guys getting over-excited about a dance?" He asked his Friends around him.

Roxanne smiles, standing beside Helena and joining their Friends. "Because you two got closer from the last time we saw you, which was a few months ago." The brunette paused for a moment, thinking about something. "I do wonder…how would your Wedding dance might-"

Helena laughs, shoving Roxanne lightly to stop her from talking. "Hahaha, Roxy don't talk about nonsense things!" She said, not ready to think about a Wedding.

Steven blushed, hearing the brunette trainer speaking about him and Helena getting married. He cleared his throat, speaking his mind. "U-Um, Roxy, we're not ready to talk about Marriage just yet." He said, "We've just dated almost a year, we still need to get to know each other more before thinking about Marriage."

"Huh, being responsible eh Steven?" Roxanne asked, accepting the reason. "Alright, seeing Helena has plans to build a Lab, I understand." She said, happy that Steven decided not to go into Marriage right away.

Flannery raised her eyebrow at his statement. "Really? You two are so close that People may think you've dated for many years-" The red-haired trainer felt a nudge from Roxanne, indicating for her to stop.

"I-I mean, whatever floats your boat, Stevie!" Flannery chuckles, correcting herself.

Brawly lets out a small chuckle, looking at Steven and Helena. "Besides, if Steven ever wants to Marry Ellie, you still have an obstacle to pass." The Fighting-type trainer said, hinting at who he needed to get approval from.

"Oh? What obstacle is that, Brawly?" Helena asked, curious what he meant.

The Sky-blue haired trainer motions his eyes to N, talking to Rodrick about something.

"Ah…right," Steven deflates, almost forgetting about N.

Helena smiles, petting her Boyfriend's back. "Don't worry, Steven. I'm sure N will be reasonable, after all, you did hit it off when we arrived in the Sinnoh Region." The young Ability User said, remembering their first meeting.

'Hit it off?' Everyone asked mentally, and they all clearly see that N has issues with Steven dating Helena, let alone Marriage.

Steven deflates, his head lowered remembering the many attempts to befriend N but ends up in flames (metaphorically). "If trying to help around the Daycare counts as befriending your Brother, Ellie…then I suppose you can put it that way…"

Helena just blinks at her Boyfriend, not getting what he means. "Huh? Steven, where are you going?" She asked, watching him walk off to the refreshment table.

"I-I'm just going to get some drinks for Metagross and me." The Hoenn Champion looks back at Helena and Kirlia. "Is there anything you want, Ellie?" Steven asked his Girlfriend.

"Oh, um, something not too acidic. Lemonade?" The black-haired Professor said, telling Steven what she wanted to drink. She then looks at Kirlia, wondering what she wants. "How about you, Kirlia?"

Kirlia points to the water fountain, indicating that she wants water. "Kirlia,"

Steven nodded, understanding what the Duel-type wants to drink. "Water, I get it." He looks at Brawly walking over to him.

"You know what bro, I'm coming with you," Brawly stated, feeling a bit thirsty along with Machamp. "Plus Machamp wants something too."

"Machamp," The Superpower Pokemon nodded,

Steven turns to the Girls at the table, wanting to know what their drinks are. "Roxanne, Flannery?" He asked the two.

"Soda," Flannery answered before Roxanne told her own.

"Fruit Punch, I prefer something less acidic too." The brunette stated, to which Steven and Brawly nodded, heading off to the Table.

Once they left, Helena and her Friends talked a bit. Telling each other what was happening in their Jobs and other stuff.

"So, you remember what Professor Birch said about taking care of the Starter Pokemon for new trainers?" Helena said, conversing with the two.

Flannery nodded, listening to her Friend. "Yeah, I remember something like that." The red-haired Girl said. "That's when we went to his Lab in Littleroot Town."

Roxanne understood what Helena was talking about, "Oh, yeah, I remember overhearing the conversation with Professor Ceder and the Headmaster talking to N." She said,

Helena nodded, "That's right, Professor Ceder told me that the Headmaster offered N to look after the grotto where they kept the Starters for the trainers." She said, proud of her Brother receiving an important task.

"Really? Now that's a big job to take." Flannery said, knowing how much of a responsibility to look after and care for the Starter Pokemon. "Well, considering N has a special connection with Pokemon, I see him not having a problem with it." She smiles.

The Girls agreed, continuing to speak, not noticing someone approaching their table.

Kirlia was speaking to Metagross, Nosepass, and Slugma before sensing jealous emotions coming from behind them, Looking behind to find out where that emotion originated from, she found the Person instantly.

"Kirlia, Kirlia," The Emotion Pokemon calls out to her Partner,

"Hmm? What is it Kirlia?" Helena looks at her Partner before noticing the Person standing behind them. "Maya?"

Maya wore a blue old-style gown but rather revealing, the fabric covered a small amount of her breast. Her hair flowed down her right shoulder, and wore an excessive amount of jewelry.

Next to her was a large blue Pokemon with a large red flower with white polka dots and an orange center on her head. She wore a green dress with a pearl necklace.

Helena stood up, greeting Maya for a long time. "It's great to see you-"

"What are you doing here?" Maya raised her head at Helena, sneering at her. "This is a Devon Corporation Event, a nobody like you shouldn't be here." She stated, crossing her arms.

"Get out before I call security or have my Vileplume deal with you painfully." The Teal-haired trainer stated, causing some commotion around her. "Well, what'll it be?"
