AN: A change in the name of the twins from Zackary to Casey. Personally, it doesn't sound right. I'm also thinking after Helena Potter's Journey is finished, I'm planning to have a sequel story involving the Stone twins.

Ch 94 The Family's Hidden Secret

"Helena, are you serious about this?" N asked, hearing that his Sister would be an acting Gym Leader for a Pokemon trainer. "I may not be a Gym Leader or have experience of being one, but can you really handle the intensity of a Battle while you're Pregnant?" The green-haired trainer continued, strongly disagreeing with this idea.

Helena placed her teacup on the table, looking at her Brother, seeing his worry. "N, it's not like I'm going to war or something." The young Professor stated with a smile, "This is a Pokemon Battle, Brendan deserves his chance to Battle for the Stone Badge." She said to him.

N sighs, sitting back down. "It's not about the Brendan, Helena. It's the matter of you and Battling," The former King explains, expressing his worry.

Anthea agreed with what their Brother said. "You know, N's right, Helena." She looks at Helena, explaining why she agrees with him. "How long has it been since you had a Pokemon Battle?" The pink-haired Ability User asked her Sister.

Helena ponders, thinking back to when the last time was, she was in a Pokemon Battle. "I believe that was during the Stone Masquerade Ball…which was a few Months ago." She said, remembering the time she Battled Maya,

"Anyways, it's just a few Months ago, I still do remember everything when it comes to Battling," Helena said before Concordia asked her something.

"Does Steven know you're going to be doing an official Gym Battle yet?" Concordia asked, curious what Helena's Boyfriend's opinion on the idea of her being a Gym Leader. "What is his opinion of this?" She asked,

Helena looked at her Sister, explaining things to her with Steven. "Steven is currently away for the moment. At Dewford Island, studying the Mural we found a while back," She explains to the three.

N sighs, having doubts about this Battle. Out of all times, why did Steven decide to leave on the Day they needed him the most?

Zoroark patted his trainer's back before hearing the door open with a familiar voice. "I've spoken to the Headmaster, and he'd agree with the idea." Professor Ceder said, entering the Lab with a large book in his hand.

Anthea looks at their Guardian, curious about what was he holding. "Professor Ceder, what's that book you got with you?" The pink-haired Ability User asked as Pokemon gathered around them to see.

"This, Anthea is the Gym Leader handbook." Adam placed the book on the table where Concordia moved the refreshments. "I know it's rudimentary with today's Technology, but it's still quite useful." He explains,

Helena flips open the handbook, reading the Table of Contents. "There's a lot to a Gym Battle here, Professor…" She commented, moving aside for Kirlia and the others to see.

Adam looks at his former Student, explaining why there are rules. "Gym Battles aren't just a regular Pokemon Battle, they are a series of tests for Challengers to face." The blue and blonde-haired Professor explains to Helena. "You need to be hard on them but at the same time, give them tips and advice on how to surpass the Battle."

"So, in short place them in the most difficult situation and have them think of a way to get around your Battle strategy," Adam explains to Helena what she needs to do during the Gym Battle.

"I see…" Helena flips the page, reading what was contained. Mainly it's what her Mentor summarized for her. "Well, I do have a Day to read the Manual before the Gym Battle with Brendan tomorrow."

Anthea nodded, "We do have plenty of time to set up things for tomorrow." She said, looking up at her Siblings and Guardian.

Concordia took the Manual from Helena's view, checking a few things. "Well, the needed preparations are simple enough, since we're not official we don't need a Gym Challenge. But we do need at least one Gym trainer to fill the requirements-"

"Paulo will be happy to help out if I ask him," Helena said, knowing her own Student would be happy to join as a Gym trainer.

Adam smiles, seeing things are going smoothly with the preparation for the Gym Battle tomorrow. "Well, I can see you four got things handled for Brendan's Challenge." He got up, addressing the Potter Siblings. "I'll come by tomorrow for the Battle. This is still an unofficial Gym match with some special clearance,"

"As such you need to supervise because you are close to the Headmaster," Helena spoke, understanding her Mentor's role in this, watching him about to leave the Lab. "You're leaving already, Professor?" She asked him.

Adam turns around, smiling at the Potter Siblings. "I have some unfinished work to do at the School. It's rather large so I'm taking what's left of the Day to finish on what I can." He explains,

"Of course, Professor Ceder," Concordia said, wishing him safe travels back to the School.

Anthea smiles, hoping for the best for the Professor. "Do be careful in going back, Professor."

The blue and blonde-haired Professor smiles, waving the Siblings a farewell.

Once Adam left the Pokemon Lab, Helena noticed that her Brother, N went up to his room.

Helena walked up to the bedrooms, seeing that her Brother's door was open. "N? Are you inside?" She asked, entering N's room,

Zoroark looks up from his bed, allowing the young Professor to pet his head.

Helena smiled down at the Dark-type Pokemon before shifting her eyes to N who was lying in his Bed. In his hand was the Stuff Wolf plush, something she hadn't seen since she was in his Room in his Castle. "Is something the matter, N? You're been quiet lately."

"Really? I didn't realize…" N spoke, still looking at the Plush.

The black-haired Woman sighs, standing over her Brother. "N, you don't need to be snarky with me. I can tell, even though you don't say anything, you highly disagree with me acting as a Gym Leader for Brendan." Helena stated, receiving a glare from N.

"Yeah, I highly disagree with you being a Gym Leader after getting yourself Pregnant," N stated, sitting on his bed, and placing his Stuff Toy beside him

Helena looked at her Brother, "What is that supposed to mean?" She asked, getting defensive,

N stood up, looking at his Sister, "I'm saying that you shouldn't be participating in Pokemon Battles until your Sons are born!" He exclaims, stating his reason why he opposes this decision. He sighs, sitting back on his bed, and slumping his head down.

Helena walks over to her Brother, sitting beside him. "N, is there something bothering you?" She asked calmly, "You never get angry like this before, it's only happened when serious happen." She said,

"Helena, you are risking a lot if you decide to Battle tomorrow." The green-haired trainer said, "If anything happens then-"

"N, I know what will happen to Ability Users who get Pregnant," Helena spoke, receiving a shocked expression from him.

N looks at his younger Sister, not expecting her to know about the risk of her Pregnancy, "How did you-"

Helena smiles, placing her hand on her abdomen. "The Day we told you that I was Pregnant, I called a Friend from the Galar Region who has more knowledge about Ability Users other than you and our Sisters." She said, not trying to imply anything. "But I can take care of myself, you don't need to worry about me that much,"

The green-haired trainer frowns, "Helena if you know that you know the risk of Childbirth, and I know that I can't change your mind…" N looks at his Sister, wanting her to ensure something for him. "Can you promise me that you won't go overboard during the Battle? Promise me that you won't use your Ability, I hate to see you have repercussions due to you overexerting yourself," The former King of Team Plasma said,

"I promise, N. I won't use my Ability during Brendan's Battle tomorrow." She promised before picking up the Wolf Plushy, She looked down at the Toy from her own World, asking about it. "You know, I've seen this Toy before. Back when you were under Ghetsis's control…"

"You probably got lost and found my Childhood Home when trying to find the Throne room." N chuckles, imagining his Sister being lost in his former Castle. He looks at his Childhood Toy, something he can't let go of. "From where my memories take me back, I'd always had that Toy with me. Even before I met Ghetsis, I always had this Toy with me,"

Helena handed the Toy over to N, taking it off from her hands. "Out of the Toys that I had when I was younger, none of them held a special place. They're just Toys," N said, looking at the Stuff Wolf in his hand. "But this one," He smiles down at the Toy in his hands,

"It's the only thing that makes me happy," N chuckles, having a smile on his face. "You know, I don't even know what this Toy looks like. I always thought it was some mix with a Zorua and a Furfrou."

"It's a Wolf," Helena spoke, informing N of what kind of Creature his Stuff Toy was.

The green-haired trainer looks at Helena, curious about how his Sister knows what Creature his Stuff Toy was. "How did you know what my Toy was, Helena?" N asked his Sister,

Helena twiddled with her thumbs, feeling a bit nervous about telling her Adopted Brother the truth. "Helena," N adjusted himself, looking at the black-haired Ability User. "Is there something you're not telling me?" He asked the same question she asked him.

Helena took a deep breath, answering N's question. "I-I wasn't being honest with everyone, including Steven," She said, feeling her heart beating fast. "I've been keeping this secret for a long time, that if I say it now…I'm not sure how everyone would react…"

"Helena, whatever it is, I'm your Brother," N said, wanting to be by Helena's side, no matter what she said. "I will always be with you, no matter what. Just like you who was with me back in Unova." The green-haired trainer said,

The young Professor chuckles, remembering she said something to him when they were traveling. "Thank you, N…" Helena proceeded to tell N about her origins,

She told him about her from another World and that she was actually a Witch. Her being an Ability User is something that most People who came from her old World transition to Ability Users.

N listens as Helena tells him almost everything about her, from Hogwarts to her Parents being killed, and how she met Arceus just to get away from an Engagement with someone whom she didn't like and a bit clingy. "And that's pretty much every-N?"

"H-How could…" N's face grew darker, after hearing what Helena just told him.

Helena knew the expression that N was giving was exactly how she imagined when telling someone where she really came from. "I-I know you're mad and I completely understand-"

"How could someone put you in a situation like that!?" N growls, thinking about the hardship Helena must've endured before coming to this World. "Helena, you should've told me. Out of everyone you know, I can understand where you're coming from." He said, comforting his Sister.

"N…"

"As your Brother, it's my duty to protect you from something like this." The green-haired trainer stated, feeling like he failed as a Brother.

Helena held her hand out to her Brother, calming him down. "N, there's no need beating yourself over it." She said, not wanting him to stress over something that probably won't happen for a while. "I can handle it when the time comes for Arceus to fulfill our deal."

The green-haired trainer looks at his Sister, "Helena, I don't want you to do this alone. From what you told me, the People who did this to you aren't trustworthy." The former King of Team Plasma stated, "When the time comes, I want to be there with you and face this Voldemort Person." He states, wanting to help her.

Helena smiled, happy that her Brother was going to be with her. "Thank you, N. To be honest, I was nervous about how I would defeat the Man who killed my Parents on my own." She confessed,

"Well, you're not alone. After all, even though I didn't get the chance to meet them, they're my Adopted Parents too now that Anthea, Concordia, and I share your Last Name." N said to Helena, before thinking of what she said. "So…when you said that this was a Creature-er Animal from your old Home. What exactly does this entail for me?" He asked, curious what this means.

The black-haired Professor thought for a moment before sharing what she thought it meant. "I believe that you came from the same World as I did," Helena said,

"…" N ponders for a moment, thinking over what Helena has theorized, "That…makes sense…"

"Hmm?" Helena gave a confused expression,

"I've been having visions of somewhere that's not familiar here. Mainly, a World without Pokemon except for this large Mightyena-like Creature and a light brown-haired Man that was looking at me," The green-haired trainer explains, "It makes so much sense now,"

Helena blinked, wondering what her Brother was saying. 'Ah, it must be N's Father and his Family's Pet before he came to the Pokemon World.' She smiles, accepting the thought. "I'm glad that you found some answers you might not been looking for, N."

N nodded, happy that Helena shared this with him. "Have you told Steven, yet? About you coming from another World?" He asked his Sister.

"N-Not yet, I'm planning to…but not soon…you're the first Person I've told about my Past," Helena admits, unsure how to tell her Boyfriend.

"It's best to tell him sooner than later, Helena. You've been keeping this secret for this long and he'll be Family soon enough." N said, advising her to tell the Father of her Children.

"You're right, I just need to find the time to tell him…" Helena said, thinking of the right time to tell Steven,

The next Day Brendan stood before the Potter Pokemon Lab. This was the official Gym Battle he would face since moving to Hoenn.

Thanks to an incident yesterday with someone in a red outfit who stole a Wingull named Peeko from an Old Man, his Pokemon were at the same level as Roxanne's.

And if Professor Potter's Gym Challenge is like Roxanne's, then it shouldn't be a problem.

"Alright Treecko, this is it. Our first Gym Battle in the Hoenn Region." Brendan said, feeling anxious and excited at the same time.

"Treecko…Treecko…" The Wood Gecko Pokemon commented, seeing this isn't an actual Gym Battle per se.

The brown-haired trainer sighs, understanding his Partner's comment. "I know, I know, but Roxanne is still busy with other challenges from other Pokemon trainers," Brendan said to his Partner on his shoulders, "Professor Potter is giving me a ticket to be on our way to challenging Dad instead of waiting for Roxanne to be free."

Treecko could see the logic behind what Brendan said. "Treecko…Treecko?" He looks up, seeing a familiar face.

"You're here already? We didn't expect you to be here right away." Paulo said, looking at Brendan, sitting on the railings of the porch. He placed his hand on his elbow on his knee, leaning back on the pole with a Pokeball in his hand.

"Paulo, are you here to greet me for the Gym Battle?" Brendan asked the dirty blonde-haired trainer. Both he and Treecko watches as Paulo leaps down from the railings of the porch.

The young trainer walks up to Brendan, smirking at him. He tosses and catches his Pokeball in his palms. "Yeah, I'm here to welcome you to your Gym Match with Professor Potter," Paulo explains,

Brendan blinks for a moment before realizing what Paulo means. He gave a slight chuckle, almost not expecting a Gym Challenge. "So, this is my Gym Challenge then?"

"Yep, Professor Potter has asked me to be a Gym Trainer for the time being." The dirty blonde-haired trainer explains to the young Challenger. He then got into a tossing position, ready to send out his Pokemon, "Now, enough talk, since you're a Challenger, it's my Job as Gym trainer to test you."

The brown-haired trainer smirks, gripping his fist and ready to Battle Paulo. "Right," He looks over to his Partner sitting on his shoulders. "Are you ready Treecko?" Brendan asked the Grass-type Pokemon.

"Treecko!" Treecko ran across Brendan's arm, leaping off from his trainer's arm and standing before him. Both his arms were ready in a fighting position,

"Alright, Clefairy, let's do this!" Paulo caught his Pokeball before tossing it onto the brick path.

The Pokeball opened and then released a small pink bipedal Pokemon, with a swirled tail and the tips of her big ears were a darker pink. She has a natural blush and small but friendly eyes, coming out of her mouth was a small fang.

"Clefairy," The Fairy/Normal-type Pokemon jumps with joy, ready to Battle.

Brendan paused, taking a moment to observe the Opponent's Pokemon. He had seen this Pokemon before in Johto, "A Clefairy," He took out his Red Rotom Phone, and opened the Pokedex App.

-ZZZ- Clefairy, the Fairy Pokemon. A Fairy and Normal-Type Pokemon. -ZZZ- The Pokedex informed Brendan about what kind of Pokemon Clefairy was.

-ZZZ- On every night of a full moon, groups of this Pokémon come out to play. When dawn arrives, the tired Clefairy returns to their quiet. -ZZZ-

Paulo smirks which Brendan quickly took notice of. "As you can see, Brendan. Unlike the Rustboro Gym, which uses Rock-type Pokemon. Professor Potter specializes in Fairy-types," The dirty blonde-haired trainer informed what the Challenger will expect in his Gym Run.

"The Professor wants to test your adaptability. You might be prepared to use Pokemon that are strong against Roxanne's Rock-types, but can you be able to defeat the tricky and mischievous Fairy-type Pokemon?" Paulo asked the young Challenger, "Beat me, and you'll have the right to Battle the Gym Leader-er, Professor Potter to win your Stone Badge."

Brendan smirks, ready to Battle any Pokemon regardless of the Typing they have, "We're ready! Treecko, let's go!" He held his hand out, ordering his Partner to Battle.

"Treecko!"

"Clefairy, go on and show your strength!" Paulo smirks, believing in his Pokemon,

"Clefairy!"

A few minutes passed; Helena was waiting at the end of the Lab's Battlefield for Brendan to emerge from her backdoor. She changed her outfit to better fit a Gym Leader role,

Helena wore a simple light pink blouse that was tied in a black bowtie, a darker pink skirt suited for Pregnant Women reaching above the knees, and brown boots that reached up to her knees. She tied her hair in a ponytail, being held by a light pink ribbon dangling down along with her hair.

Her Keystone was present, around her neck to complete her look as an Unofficial Gym Leader.

Adam approaches his former Student, seeing her acting a bit nervous. "Helena, this is your first unofficial yet official Gym Battle. But remember to take deep breaths and focus," The blue and blonde-haired Professor advised Helena, "And remember, be yourself, and have fun." Adam said, supporting Helena.

Helena looks to the side, seeing Kirlia and her Pokemon cheering for her. Kirlia was above Brendan's Pokemon in terms of strength, that's why she's on the sidelines.

Anthea and Concordia were sitting on the bleachers, watching their very first Friendly Pokemon Battle. Plus giving their Sister some moral support,

N was going to be the Referee during the matches, he looked at the black-haired Woman, nodding at her to give it her all.

Helena was grateful for the support, even when her Children were literally with her in her abdomen. Most likely Steven hasn't heard about her taking up an Unofficial Gym Leader Position, but he'll be giving support for both her and Brendan if he hears.

"Thank you, Professor, I'll do my-" Helena paused, seeing her Laboratory door open.

Adam took that as a sign to depart. He looks at his Student, giving her a thumbs up before returning to his seat.

Helena took a deep breath and gave a confident smile at Brendan being led by her Pupil. "Welcome, Challenger to your final stretch to earn yourself the Stone Badge." She repeated what she rehearsed earlier.

Brendan and Treecko stood before Helena on the Battlefield as Paulo took his seat. "As you're aware, I'm not using any Rock-type Pokemon. My preferred typing is Fairy-types," Helena announced, taking out her first Pokeball as an Unofficial Gym Leader. "Now, are you ready to take the test?" She smiles,
