Ch 105 December Twenty-Fifth
"Ellie, hang in there. We're almost there." Steven said, holding onto his now Fiancé's hand.
Helena wince in pain, feeling labor pains all over her Body. She could hardly speak due to the pain.
Steven couldn't do anything but watch as his Fiancé went through the process of Labor. Turning to the Driver's seat, "Finn, how long until we get to the Hospital!?" He raised his voice, asking the Security Guard.
The brown-haired Man looks up at the mirror, answering the Champion. "Just a few more minutes Sir," Finn responded, going as quickly as he could, ensuring that he didn't break any Driving rules.
"Alright, just get us there soon." The Steel-blue haired Champion looks at Helena, seeing Kirlia on her side and comforting her. "We'll be there soon, Helena. Don't worry-"
Steven paused, feeling Helena's hand hold onto his own. "S-Steven…N…A-Anthea…C-Concordia…e-everyo-" He stopped Helena from speaking, reaching out to caress her head.
"Don't worry about that. I'll call them when I know you and our Boys are safe." Steven promised to contact her Family once they were at the Hospital.
Helena smiles weakly, opening her mouth. "T-Thank..y…" She fell unconscious, feeling like her Body was exhausted.
"Kirlia! Kirlia!" The Fairy/Psychic-type Pokemon called out to her Partner, feeling her sudden exhaustion.
Steven held onto Helena, seeing her faint. "Helena! Stay with me, we're almost there! Stay with me!" The Hoenn Campion shouted, trying to get his Fiancé to stay awake. However, she remains
The Steel-blue haired Man gritted his teeth, seeing Helena's condition worsening. "Finn! How long is it now until we get to the Hospital!? Helena fell unconscious again!" Steven exclaims with urgency in his voice.
The Car immediately turned a sharp right, heading into the main road of Mossdeep City. "Don't worry Sir, we're already in the City. It's just another few minutes." Finn responded, trying his best to get to the Hospital in time.
Finn drove through the many Cars, taking any shortcut he could find to the Hospital. Soon enough, the Bodyguard drove up to the Emergency Entrance, causing the Security Guards and a few Medical Staff to approach the Vehicle.
Finn turns to Steven once he places the Car in park. "Alright, Sir get Lady Helena to the Emergency room!" He said, giving him the all-clear.
"Right, thank you, Finn." Steven quickly opens the door first before taking Helena in his arms. He looks at Kirlia, motioning for her to ride on his shoulders. "Kirlia, I can't get your Pokeball out, so ride on my shoulders for the time being." He said,
"Kirila," Kirlia nodded, appreciating Steven's consideration for her concerns. She hops onto Steven's shoulder, hitching a ride while he leaves the Car with her Partner in hand.
"Sir, we cannot let you park here-wait, are you…Steven Stone?" A Security Guard asked, recognizing the Hoenn Champion.
"Yes, but there's no time! My Fiancé is in Labor right now, she just fainted." Steven gave a quick summary of what happened.
One of the Medical Professionals signals the others from inside the Emergency Bay to bring a gurney. "Get us a gurney, stat!" She cried out to the others.
Two Chansey and a Blissey came running out of the sliding doors, approaching where the Patient was. "Quickly get her on the gurney and head straight for OR Four," The Doctor said, ordering the Medical Pokemon to take the young Professor to the Operating Room.
Just when the Doctor is about to follow the Normal-types into the Hospital, Steven grabs hold of her hand, "Wait, Helena is an Ability User. She's at risks-"
"I understand Mr. Stone, we are fully aware of Ability Users and the risks." The Doctor said, having full knowledge of Ability Users since they are Common like other People. "Don't worry, your Fiancé is in good hands. Though if there are people who are worried about her, it's best to call them."
Steven nodded, taking what the Doctor said into consideration. Turning around, he saw that Finn already clearing things with the Security Guard.
Shaking his head, Steven took out his Rotom Phone and quickly dialed the Potter Laboratory.
Rustboro City, Route One Fifteen
Within the Potter Laboratory, now expanded thanks to the Guardians of the Potter Family, the Phone rang throughout the Lab.
Walking over to the Computer, an Elderly Man wearing a brown Robe answered the Phone. "Potter Laboratory, how may I help you?" Rood, former Sage of the Seven Sages answered whoever was on the other line.
-ZZZ- Yes, it's me, Steven. I know it's late but is N, Concordia, or Anthea there?-ZZZ- Steven said, assuming this was another Teacher from the Trainer School taking shifts to protect the Lab.
Rood has heard that the Matriarch of the Potters is dating the Champion of Hoenn, so it wasn't a surprise to hear him call. However, the thing is, he was hiding Helena in a secluded area, 'Why is he calling now out of all times?' He thought before responding to the previous question.
"Currently, Lord N and the Ladies retired for the Night. Is there something I can relay in the Morning for-"
-ZZZ- Sorry to make this abrupt, but Hellena…she's giving Birth now at Mossdeep Hospital. -ZZZ- Rood froze, hearing what Steven said through the Phone.
Rood understands the situation, he has heard about Helena carrying Children. "Understood, I'll relay the message as soon as possible." The former Sage said, hearing the Call being disconnected.
The former Sage quickly headed to the rooms on the Second Floor, heading to inform the Potter Siblings.
Rood quickly opens the door, waking N from his sleep. "Lord N, it's urgent!" He called for the sleeping green-haired trainer.
N stood up in his Bed, wearing only a green muscle shirt and boxers. "R-Rood? What is it?" He asked, knowing the former Sage wouldn't come in without a good reason.
"L-Lord N, it's Lady Helena…Mr. Stone has made contact with us. She's given Birth right now," Rood informed his former King of the Situation.
N didn't need any more information or details from the Sage. "Stay here and watch over the Pokemon and the Lab." He said, quickly grabbing a pair of pants and a shirt. "Anthea and Concordia will be going with me." He said, grabbing his satchel with his Pokeballs.
The brown-robed Man looks at N, asking one last question. "My Lord, how are you going to get to Mossdeep City? The Ferry is still closed at this time." Rood said, pointing out the most important question.
"I'll have Reshiram take us. I know he's willing to lend us his strength at this time." The former King of Team Plasma said, heading to wake both his Sisters and gather his Friends in the backyard.
Rood nodded, obliging to the orders given by N. "Of course, Lord N. the Potter Lab is in good hands." The old Man said, making a list of things to do when the Morning Sun rises.
Mossdeep Hospital
Steven was in the Waiting Room outside of the OR with Kirlia beside him. He called everyone who was really worried for Helena. His Parents, Helena's Siblings, Flannery, Brawly, Roxanne, Wallace, Jackie, his Parents, and anyone worried about Helena.
Most of them were either sleeping or unable to come due to how late it was except for his Parents and Professor Ceder.
"Mr. Stone," Finn came rushing down the Hall after finding a Parking spot in the Parking Lot. "How is Lady Helena? Is she alright?" The brown-haired trainer asked the Champion, curious about her condition.
Steven and Kirlia look up at the Security Guard, answering his question. "Helena is still in the Operating Room, the Doctor has yet to tell us what is going on." The Champion informed his Guard.
Kirlia nodded before hearing the doors to the Operating Room, she saw the Doctor in charge of her Partner's care. "Kirlia, Kirlia." She calls for Steven, gaining his attention.
Steven heard Kirlia calling for him, looking up at where her Fiancée's Pokemon was pointing to. "What is it Kirlia?" He looks at the Doctor coming towards their way.
"Mr. Stone, I am Dr. Berk, I'm your Fiancé's Doctor and in charge of her and the Twiins' Health." The Doctor introduced herself to the Hoenn Champion,
Steven stood up, extending his hand to greet back the Doctor. "Nice to meet you, Dr. Berk. How's Helena and the Twins? Are they doing alright?" He asked, concerned for his Fiancé and Children.
"They're doing okay, we have them set up in a room and already prepared a room for her." Dr. Berk looks at Steven with a complex expression.
The Steel-blue haired Man could see the expression on their Doctor's face, "What? What is it?" Steven asked, demanding answers.
"Due to the fact she's carrying Twins, and an Ability User means we're going to operate soon." Dr. Berk explains to the Hoenn Champion. "Mr. Stone is Professor Potter's Guardians present with you?" She asked,
Steven shook his head, answering the Doctor. "No, not right now. He's at Rustboro City along with her Siblings," He explains to her. "They're going to come when the Ferry opens the first thing in the Morning."
Dr. Berk nodded, seeing Steven was close to the Family to explain what they were going to do. "Alright, well since you are her Fiancé, and her Family isn't here momentarily. I'll explain the Procedure." She said, ready to explain to him.
The Steel-blue haired Man nodded, listening to what the Operation was. "With Professor Potter being an Ability User and carrying Twins, her risk of Death is very high." Dr. Berk explains, not sugarcoating the facts. "Our plan is to get the Babies out as quickly as possible. Recent Research shows that Ability User Mothers use both their Energy and Strength to give Birth to their Children." She explains,
"As such a C-Section is the best possible solution for both the Children and the Mother's survival." Dr. Berk explains what the plan was.
"But didn't you say that Helena and the Twins are at high risk?" Steven asked, making sure he had all the necessary information with the Birthing Procedure.
Dr. Berk nodded, going into the reason why. "Yes, I did say that. The risk I spoke about is the fact she's carrying Twins." She explained to the Hoenn Champion, "Never we've encountered an Ability User who is carrying Twins. The occasional one, however, Twins are quite rare."
Steven nodded, caring only for one-er three things. "Please, Doctor, do everything you can for them." He said, wanting his Family to be safe.
"We can try, all I can promise you is that we're doing our best."' Dr. Berk said, finishing what she needed to say to the Father. "Now, if you are clear on the Birth Plan, please follow me. Regardless of whether Professor Potter is a regular trainer or not, the type of care is equal to all Patients." She said walking down the Hallway with both Steven and Kirlia where Helena was staying.
Steven and Kirlia nodded, grateful that a kind and capable Doctor was placed in charge of Helena's care. "Thank you, Dr. Berk." He said,
"Kirlia," Kirlia nodded, sharing her gratitude towards her.
The three were standing outside the OR, Steven could see his Fiancée was lying on the Operating Table. They removed her Wig and changed her Clothes to a Hospital gown,
There were two Audinos, a Blissey, and a Chancey with the Surgical Team, gathered around his Fiancée. "We have to put Professor Potter in Anesthetics in case she wakes during the Procedures. It's better if she's not conscious during this and the risk of fatality is fifty-fifty,"
Steven nodded, "I understand," He said, praying to Arceus for Helena to make it through this.
"Mr. Stone, I'm afraid Kirlia has to wait here until the Operation is finished," The Doctor informed the Hoenn Champion with an apologetic expression.
Steven nodded, understanding what their Doctor meant. He turns to Helena's Partner, kneeling to her level. "Kirlia, I'm trusting you to keep an eye out here while we're in the OR. Okay?" He asked the Duel-type Pokemon,
Kirlia nodded, she understood what her task was. "Kirlia!" She replied happily, following the orders.
Steven smiles before following Dr. Berk into the OR where the OR Nurses assisted Steven with a Surgical gown. He stood next to Helena, smiling down at her. "Don't worry, Ellie, it'll be done soon." He said, looking at the Surgical Team.
"Alright, let's begin." Dr. Berk looks at Audino, who passes some Surgical tools to the Nurse then at the Doctor, beginning the Procedure.
Steven held onto Helena's hand as Dr. Berk cut her Abdomen.
It was dark, Helena felt like she was floating in the air. "Where…am…I?" She asked herself,
She tries to open her eyes, but she can't. "…" Her ears picked up something, a voice, speaking to her.
"W-Who's there?" Helena asked, wondering who was speaking to her.
"It's been a while, Helena Liliana Potter." A familiar voice spoke to the black-haired Woman,
Helena tries to open her eyes, hearing the same voice she hasn't heard for the longest time. "I-It's you…Arc-"
"Listen well, Helena," Arceus spoke, giving her words of Wisdom to her. "Your Children will be blessed by me, a new generation of Ability Users. Raise them well, until then." The Alpha Pokemon turns around, walking away from his Chosen Human.
Helena didn't understand what the Creator Pokemon meant, "W-Wait! Arceus!" She reached out to the Alpha Pokemon, wanting to speak some more and possibly know when she's going to repay him. "Wait, I still have some questions for you!"
Arceus turns his head back to Helena, answering her questions. "All in due time, my Dear. All in due time…" He said as a bright shining through the darkness,
Helena slowly opened her eyes, her vision was a bit blurry before getting a clear picture of the ceiling. "Hmm…w-what happened?" She asked, feeling a jolt of pain in her Abdomen.
The young Professor gasps, reaching for her Abdomen to check if her Sons are okay. Her eyes widen, realizing that her Stomach is flat and has no bump. "W-What happened to my Babies-"
"Helena!" Helena turns around, seeing Steven entering the room. The Hoenn Champion looks tired and frazzled, indicating he hasn't had enough sleep, with all that he was smiling at her.
"S-Steven, my stomach, our Babies, they're-"
Steven rushed over to Helena, hugging her tightly and calming her down. "Shhhh…it's alright. Everything is alright," He said, smiling at his Fiancée, "You're going to be okay now, Ellie. The danger has passed." He said, feeling relieved that she was still alive.
Helena was confused, unsure of what Steven meant. Regardless, the issue was that her stomach was flat. "Steven, our Sons, where are they?" She asked, wanting to know where her Children were.
"Ellie, look to your side." Steven smiles, lifting his head to the area beside her. His eyes gazed at two plastic containers.

Helena's eyes look at where Steven is staring at. Tears started to form when she saw them, "T-This…this got to be a Dream…right?" She asked, couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Steven smiles, walking over to the two containers and lifting something within the first container.
Helena covered her mouth; in Steven's arms was a small Infant Boy wrapped in a Seafoam Green blanket, sleeping peacefully. "Helena, meet our First-Born Son, Aiden Joseph Stone." Steven introduced their Son to her.
The new Mother cried softly, reaching her arms out to hold their Son. Steven gave Helena the Newborn, gently placing him in her arms.
"Aiden…our beautiful Baby." Helena cried, gently holding her Son in her arms. She took a good look at Aiden, exploring every feature he had.
The Baby has a pale skin color similar to Steven's, and like Steven, he has Steel-blue hair like his. A carbon copy of Steven but as an Infant,
Aiden coos, snuggling up to his Mother, sleeping peacefully in her arms. "He's perfect," Helena commented, stroking a strand of his hair away from his face.
"He has your hair color and your facial features. He's like a mini-clone of you," She looks at Steven, giggling at how much he and Steven look alike. "Seem like you did the work on him." She jokes with her now Fiancée.
Steven chuckles at Helena's comment, "Yeah, a mini-me. If you're curious what his eye color is, it's green like yours. I've kinda seen when they were cleaned up by the Nurses." He sheepishly said before motioning to the other Baby. "But don't forget about our other Little bun," He said, now carrying a second Infant in his arms.
Helena smiles softly, still crying tears of Joy at what she saw. In Steven's arms was their Second Son wrapped in a darkish Baby-blue blanket, he had a Piplup pacifier in his mouth as he slept in Steven's arms.
"Helena, since I got to Name our First Son. Why not Name our Second one?" Steven said, offering the chance to Name their Son to the Mother of his Sons. "It's only right since you were still recovering."
"Are you sure?" Helena asked, wanting to make sure it was alright with him.
Steven nodded, walking closer to the Hospital Bed, and handing their Second Son to Helena. "Careful, you don't want to wake him…" He said, showing a bit of concern for their Son.
Helena looks at Steven, exchanging Aiden with his Brother Steven. "Careful? What do you mean by careful?" She asked, gently holding her Second Born.
Steven cradles Aiden gently, softly smiling at the black-haired Woman. "W-We'll wait until Dr. Berk comes back to check on us to explain things." He said, looking down at his Son, using his finger to scratch his little nose.
Aiden sneezes a bit before snuggling close to his Father. "Heh, Mother is going to be cooing over him when she and Father come in the morning," Steven commented,
Helena decided to follow Steven's advice before looking down on her Second Son. Like with Aiden, she took a good look at his features,
His skin was pale like his Elder Twin Brother, he had snow-white hair, something inherited from Steven's Mother's side of the Family. His face somewhat resembles her own Father with a splash of her here and there.
He gently turns his head, cuddling next to his Mother.
Helena smiles, thinking of a Name for this Little One. Seeing that her Son was similar to her Father in some way, she got an idea. "So, what are you going to Name our Son, Ellie?" Steven asked his Fiancée, curious about the Name.
"Casey, Casey James Stone," Helena answered, feeling that was a perfect Name for her Son.
Steven smiles, adjusting himself and Aiden sitting beside her and now Casey James Stone. "Casey James, unique, and I believe James is your Father's Name. right?" He asked, remembering that Helena delved into that information to him one time.
Helena nodded, caressing Casey's cheeks with her hand. "Yeah, something to remember him by and honoring his sacrifice." She said, wanting her Children to remember their Grandparents even though they won't ever meet them.
Steven leans in, kissing Helena on the lips. "Even so, I think both of their Names are perfect. Both of them are perfect," He said, looking at both of their Sons together. "I Love you, Ellie."
Helena smiles, responding to his sentence. "I Love you too, all three of you," She said, excited to start a new chapter in their lives.
