MUGEN Universe: Tournament of Champions.
The depths of outer space, past the limits of the Milky Way.
A lone shiny figure, a silver man standing on a long board, flies in silence through the vaccuum.
The space wanderer comes to a halt before a metallic planetoid. He speaks to the sphere with a stoic, cold voice.
"Master. I have located a planet for you to consume."
Two huge glowing eyes are opened in the darkness.
"The source of the energy pulse has been tracked to a small planet its inhabitants call Earth. A figure calling herself a goddess has seized it, and she apperars to be the one who sent the Dimensional Tide."
"So," a booming, rich voice says. "This entity needs to be dealt with, even before my hunger is sated."
The Silver Surfer lowers his head and says nothing.
A giant in purple armor rises, fists tightened by his sides. "Set course for this planet instantly! SO SPEAKS GALACTUS!"
Galactus.
Origin: Fantastic Four.
A figure of legend across galactic empires, such as the Shi'Ar, the Devilukes, the Freezer Organization, the Jurai, and New Genesis and Apokolips.
Born Galan, a scientist in an universe before this one, he researched the energies that would create what we call the Big Bang. The only survivor of his universe by being at point zero of the explosion, the power unleashed turned him into a titan who needs to periodically absorb the life energies of homeworlds to survive.
He traveled alone for eons, but spared the planet Zenn-La in exchange for the services of one of their leaders, Norrin Radd. Radd was brainwashed by Galactus, who gave him a portion of his awesome Cosmic Powers and appointed him as a herald so the task of scouting the universe for sources of feeding would be more efficient. Thusly, the Silver Surfer, Herald of the Spaceways, was born!
Stage: A Lex Corp space station right past Earth's atmosphere, with its own atmosphere and gravity field.
Opening Poses and Lines:
The player is transported to outer space. There is a rising pan of the camera through Earth's atmosphere and then an asteroid belt, stopping at the metal platform of a space station, where the character you are playing is teleported Star Trek style.
Galactus manifests himself before the players. His deep voice echoes in an emotionless way.
"PREPARE YOURSELVES TO BE DEVOURED IN THE NAME OF GALACTUS! Your lives must end so that I may live. For GALACTUS HUNGERS!"
Heavy Moves:
Backhand Swat: Galactus moves a hand across to sweep the section of the platform in front of him. It can be blocked, or avoided by putting enough distance from him.
Divine Hand Smash: Galactus punches the section of the platform that is closest to him. It can be blocked, or avoided by putting enough distance from him.
Haymaker Punch: Galactus briefly gets out of reach by pulling back and swinging his fist through the whole of the stage. It can be blocked or leaped over. He can perform this attack twice even if your fighter is lying on the platform.
Cosmic Throw: Galactus pulls himself back to the background and swings his hands towards the forefront to take a hold of you. It is unblockable, and you only can avoid it by flying around or performing a high jump. Should you be grabbed, a speedy button mash might free you from his hands before he slams you onto the platform, or you might be helped out of it by an assist character, if you have one.
Snap Back Flick: Galactus overall treats you like you would treat an annoying insect, and this move is the best example of such attitude. He uses one of his fingers to flick you like a fly, should you fall off the platform you lose the match immediately.
Hyper Smash: Galactus only resorts to this attack infrequently, generally when he is low on energy and growing desperate to defeat you.
He charges a small amount of his Cosmic Power and does a with his empowered fists. It can be blocked, but if you let him use it twice in a row the second hit still takes a bit of energy even if you block, and the third one is unblockable.
Super Moves:
Finger Laser:
A relatively simple and straightforward blast of Cosmic Energy from Galactus' pointer finger, it flies in a straight line through the screen.
Eye Laser:
A variant of the prior Super Move aimed at the farthest part of the screen, tilting downwards from Galactus' eyes. It can be dodged by getting close enough to Galactus. If it hits, it takes most of a full energy bar away.
Hyper Laser:
Galactus stretches his fingers and shoots cosmic blasts from all of them. The best strategy against them is performing high jumps over all of them. Blocking only lessens the amount of damage received, but does not neutralize it.
Punisher Robot:
Galactus moves to the background and briefly summons his Punisher Robot, a huge, although nowhere as huge as Galactus himself, unfeeling and cold abomination. A humanoid, gray and blue chromed figure.
The robot has its own power bar and it must be destroyed before dealing with Galactus again. It acts as a melee brawler, unarmed but gifted with uncanny speed, and flies around not too far above the platform.
Galactus only can use the Punisher Robot once per round.
Victory Poses and Lines:
"The fate of your world was sealed from the moment I first heard news of it," Galactus says. "You fought bravely, but this outcome could not be fought! Farewell! Galactus shall not forget you!"
"Earth K.O.," says Peorth's voice. "Global Destruction!"
There is a text screen only reading You Lose.
Galactus appears in a cinema display where he grows big enough to grab Earth with both hands, absorbing its lifeforce through his fingers. Earth loses its colour and eventually cracks, until it explodes and Galactus, revitalized, shouts "IT IS DONE!"
The camera pans over to the Silver Surfer, floating at a distance in the space, with his head hanging low.
He says quietly to himself, "What have we done..."
GAME OVER.
Next Challenger: The second secret boss.
