MUGEN Universe: Tournament of Champions.

The Sun was setting in the horizon, and an old man sat at the porch of a quiet house, calmly tending to a bonsai.

He was surrounded by many more bonsais everywhere, and he hummed gently to himself as he worked, mind and soul well focused and at ease.

Then an envelope was flung in through the front gates of the residence.

The old man got up, marched across his yard, grabbed the enveloped, picked it up, and opened it.

He opened the letter that had been inside, and his expression did not change at all. "I see... They still think of old man? Heh heh."

He lowered the letter pensively and said, "Better I solve this before Daniel-san learns. He do fool thing like going there himself."

Mr. Miyagi.

Origin: The Karate Kid.

Miyagi Hideo, born in 1925 A.D.

When he was a young master martial artist in Okinawa, he and a rival, Sato, fell in love with the same girl. When challenged to a duel to the death by Sato, Miyagi refused to harm his former best friend and instead fled to Hawaii, where he would meet a woman and sire a son.

During World War II, the Miyagis were put in an internment camp for Japanese living in the United States. To prove himself a good citizen of his adoptive nation, Miyagi enlisted in the American army. While born Americans would distrust him and Japanese would deem him a traitor for opposing the Axis, he did not mind. But then he learned his wife died during childbirth, and he entered a depression he never fully recovered from, even if he did hide it well.

In the eighties, Miyagi trained young Daniel LaRusso and then Julie Pierce, and through the former, the Miyagi-Do Dojo teaching Miyagi's fighting style was formed. The Dojo would enter a longstanding rivalry with the Cobra Kai school.

Miyagi died in peace in 2011 A.D., reflecting on his life, and in a good mood to the end.

Stage: A narrow alleyway at night, with several Cobra Kai skeleton men watching in the background and cheering on at Miyagi's opponent.

Opening Poses and Lines:

Miyagi walks in. "You got problem with Miyagi? Miyagi got no problem with you!"

Miyagi jumps in from offscreen and lands on his feet before the adversary. "I heard you causing problem around here."

Vs. Orlok:

Orlok hisses at Miyagi.

"What is this?" the sensei wonders.

Orlok keeps on hissing and claws the air in Miyagi's general direction.

"He looks angry!" Miyagi observes.

Vs. Darkwing Duck:

There is a cloud of purple smoke, and Darkwing appears in it, wagging his cape. "I am the sequelitis that ruins your legacy! I am the Jackie Chan reboot that kicks you in the mouth! I am Darkwing Duck!"

"Hmmmm!" Miyagi says. "Pride no good thing. Sorry to say this. But boasting around is no way of defender."

Darkwing frowns. "Are... Are you serious, mister? What is a civilian with no idea at all of heroism doing in a danger zone?"

"Miyagi always hated having to shoo poor animals out..."

Vs. Galactus:

Miyagi is teleported onto the space platform.

"Very curious!" he says, folding his arms behind his back. "Is Miyagi daydreaming all of this?"

Galactus shows up. "I AM GALACTUS! Is this gnat the one who will oppose the Devourer of Worlds?!-?!"

"Do you speak Japanese?" Miyagi asks him.

"All primitive languages are extremely easy to understand for Galactus!"

"Then let us communicate," Miyagi says in Japanese. "You don't really need to destroy this planet, you must find your inner voice telling you-"

"SILENCE!" Galactus belows. "There is no time for such trivialities! THE HUNGER IS MADDENING!"

Miyagi sighs. "Not even those from beyond are above selfish appetites?"

Vs. Ikari Shinji in Evangelion Unit 01:

Miyagi makes it to the depths of the Geofront.

"This not how Miyagi wanted to see Japan again..." he says.

The Evangelion comes down howling viciously. But under the deafening sound, there is something else Miyagi knows well; a boy's cry for help.

"That voice... Someone is inside that thing?" Miyagi doubts.

"I don't want to be here!" Shinji screams from inside the EVA. "Please get away before it kills you!"

"Hang on there, young man!" Miyagi says. "Miyagi save you!"

Heavy Moves:

Crane Kick: One of the best known basic attacks of the Miyagi style.

Pressure Point Strike: Miyagi hits a pressure point on the body of his adversary and briefly disables one of their limbs.

Wax On, Wax Off: Miyagi moves his hands around in a circular fashion, blocking the opponent's attacks and, should they get close enough, also hit them.

Choke and Slam: Miyagi pragmatically wraps an arm around the neck of the opponent, swings them around, and tosses them.

Tree Breaking Punch: Miyagi loads his chi into a fist and then swings it, crushing anyone on his path.

Super Moves:

The Path to a Humble Heart:

Miyagi delivers a brutal beating chaining many hits with both hands, finishing by his hand pausing before the opponent's face... and pinching their nose.

Shattering Knee:

Miyagi grabs his opponent and yanks them down, smashing their midsection with a rising knee.

Low and High, High and Low:

Miyagi does a roundhouse kick and immediatly follows it with a slap to the face. Then he tosses the opponent down.

Low Blow:

Miyagi grabs a leg of the opponent, lifts it, and then kicks them in the crotch.

Two-Legged Kick:

The most powerful kick of Miyagi-Do Karate. Miyagi impulses himself on a hand and flips his body up and around, kicking with both feet at once.

Drum Technique:

The Miyagi-Do's ultimate technique. Miyagi rushes through the battlefield, twisting his body around and dodging any attacks coming his way, then sends several devastating blows to the body of his adversary. Since it is potentially lethal to a foe, usually he treats it as a last resort.

Victory Poses and Lines:

Miyagi folds his arms. "Fighting not good. But if must fight, win."

Miyagi shooks his head. "This all you could have avoided if we talk."

Vs. Orlok:

Orlok collapses and Miyagi kicks his head down.

"Hiyaaaa!" Miyagi says. "You... You worse than animal!"

Orlok pulls back, staring viciously at the old man.

Miyagi frowns at him. "Never before Miyagi see such vile man!"

Vs. Darkwing Duck:

"You see now, young friend?" Miyagi asks. "Pride only leads to downfall. You good, but still much you need learn."

Darkwing groans. "Just great, this is like studying under Goose Lee all over again..."

"Goose Lee?" Miyagi asks. "You still no taking this seriously, are you?"

Darkwing bashes a fist down on the dirt. "I take this more seriously than anyone else!"

Vs. Galactus:

Galactus plummets into the vast outer space with a howl that makes the whole screen shake. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"That is destiny of man who lets stomach govern him," Miyagi intones sagely.

Soon there is a series of shots of newspapers, books, magazines and internet sites showing Miyagi's humble face.

KARATE MASTER SAVES THE WORLD.

OLD MASTER DEFEATS ALIEN GOD!

MR. MIYAGI ACHIEVES WHAT THE AVENGERS COULD NOT!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MR. MIYAGI.

DOJO GRANTED PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL.

MIYAGI SPEAKS BEFORE THE U.N.

Ever so modest, however, Mr. Miyagi never looks for publicity or fame, they only go his way despite his own desires for quietness. He is last seen contentedly sitting behind his Dojo tending to his bonsai while Daniel LaRusso is seen inside of it, training dozens of new pupils.

THE END.

Vs. Ikari Shinji in Evangelion Unit 01:

The Evangelion stops moving, and drops an unconscious Shinji onto the floor, bathed on LCL and twitching.

"Hold on there, Pilot-san!" Miyagi rushes to his side. "First Miyagi takes your pulse, then see if ambulance could-"

They are quickly surrounded by NERV guards pointing rifles at them.

Miyagi squints. "What do you want with poor boy? What you did to poor boy!?"

Like a whirlwind, he strikes in all directions, quickly disarming all the guards and taking them down. Then Ikari Gendou comes to him with raised arms. "Who are you!?" Miyagi demands.

"The boy's father. I'm completely entitled to claim him back for this organization. Right now he might be a security hazard for-"

"Only hazard Miyagi sees here is you!" an unusually enraged Miyagi says, and slams his fist on Gendou's face.

There is a cut to a black screen.

The credits start rolling, but at mid point, they pause to show Miyagi training Shinji in karate at a beach, under a bright Sun.

The credits keep on rolling after that.

THE END.
