Crow was not going to hang around!
Judai was infuriated and Crow knew he'd feel the same way if the same stuff happened to any of his little birds or the Dragons. So it was just far better to check out and run for his life. One hop later he down from his little perch and was rushing around another large slab of stone. His hair was tucked down, but he wasn't stupid, Judai could easily see the direction he went.
Spread across between himself and the other dragons were various slabs of concrete along with lifted pipes spewing torrents of water. Dips in the ground or mounds of rubble, black asphalt meant for the road leading in sprinkled the ground. Yet thanks to the lack of light from far above those little chunks looked bigger than they were. Still, any rock smaller than a foot was a rock that could result in a twisted ankle or knee.
Judai didn't have so much power on his own, but he 'did' have spirits. So when the large slab of concrete Crow had been hiding behind shattered he wasn't alarmed. But he wasn't unscathed as he was struck by the resulting shrapnel. Time had hardened him enough that the deep scratches that oozed blood was nothing more than a mere flinch. If something tried to be more than a sting he reminded himself of Yusei bleeding out because he got impaled from a crash.
Just ignore the fact that the explosion could have shot a pipe through his body killing him instantly. Ok?
A sickening sound shook him from his thoughts as his duel disc radio began to go static on him. Not that he had time to check, the slab had left him open and he was forced to make a quick decision. Going left would take him to the gang faster, but the nearest safe concrete slab was further away. Going right there was a good sized slab and that decided it for him.
'Who knew running around on Satellite would have an upside?' Crow joked to himself as he ran. He knew the threat behind him, was semi prepared if it popped up east or west and prayed it wouldn't come from the front. While letting his senses stay more in his feet and judge what he was standing on at any time. Adjusting his balance whenever he found himself on something particularly unstable.
Such focus proved helpful when what 'appeared' to be solid ground gave way into an forward downward slant. Crow's arms went windmilling outward as he felt his gait suddenly be disrupted. Thankfully the fall wasn't that deep or dangerous thanks to his alert focus, though he had to limp out the shock to his left leg as he ran. Pouring water drowned out his footsteps and the hiss of static and the cracked sounds of Yusei trying to communicate with him.
'Sorry Yusei, you'll have to tell me when I get there.' Crow mused to himself as he continued to run.
"What did you do to Jesse you bastard!?" Judai shrieked as he ran after the stranger. He hadn't seen what that witch did to Jesse and he didn't have any spirits that were of the healing nature. None of the spirits he had seen had been in fact. Worse yet, blowing up hospitals meant there really wasn't a place he could 'take' Jesse to for help.
So the ache of failing Jesse was real, it was all his friends from growing up only worse, a good friend that he again failed to protect. Unlike those brown nosing idiots who didn't have a brain between them.
Lady Heat sped forward with Sparkman behind her spurred on by the rage and worry that consumed Judai. Sending the pair inter-cardinal to the fleeing teen and approaching quickly.
So much heat was easily warning Crow to hurl himself behind the concrete the moment he reached it. Whipping himself around the jagged slab that could have been a giants' tooth as dust stained his bloody arms and face. It gave him this ashen gray series of tattoos that were actually more impressive than the Mark that he had to carry. 'Hope the twins are ok with me looking like this...' he mused as he looked down at his poor duel disc.
The light that indicated the comm was working was flashing. Yusei had installed a simple SOS to let them know if the comm was down either from damage or potential hacking. No way to warn Yusei that Crow might be trying to alert them that someone was about to show up!
"Oh man..." Crow's gaze was sweeping across the horizon when it caught sight of something he 'really' didn't want to see. Sure 'some' of Jesse's spirits had been here, but he could see the crystal glow of several of them fast approaching their area. And sure the sight of such color was normally uplifting, yet it was something else that worried him. It slithered above the hues of Crystal Gem Beasts that Jesse had and its sight played on his mind. Night had finally arrived and between that and the thing above them whatever it was shown.
Some primal part of his mind, a lizard brain moment threw into his imagination his wonderful BlackBird, sleek black and how it looked at night guided only by its headlights.
'Its black metal slipping in the air...' his eyes began trying to trace the movements and a sickening feeling began to rise up. Yusei and the others were between him and that figure, and he had seen a good chunk of Big sister Asuka's friends spirits to know. They didn't deal in black metal, Marufujis' cyber deck were all clean, white metal...
But someone did someone have a sleek black dragon...
"Yusei! Can you read me?!" He called out as the duel disc hissed and spit back white noise in retaliation. 'Oh this is bad...' he realized as he felt the heat melting the concrete while the rivers of water hissed away into dry earth.
"...read..."
Crow could see this going a thousands ways bad as the image in the sky wouldn't leave his head. He looked for a safe place after this shield gave out to run to, but the nearest piece of concrete was, again pushing him away from the gang. "Yusei, behind you! Look behind you!" He ordered as he was forced to move towards a smaller piece of concrete. Small enough for him to hunker down but also thicker, maybe part of a pipe as well?

"... behind..."
Crow's chirp of a voice was all that Yusei could make out of the audio. The blinking was signally that more had been said, but he couldn't hear what it was. 'Its not on my end and the spirits don't have the ability to affect tech like this. Meaning something must have damaged his duel disc...' the thought sent his mind into growling.
"I know. I can see Judai," he replied.
The guy was on the ground running after Crow with a single minded determination that seemed almost absurd. Judai was no fighter, and while Crow didn't pursue physical combat as his norm, he could still beat Judai one on one...
'But its not one on one, Judai is going to have spirits and Crow's own flock is dependent on Aki.' Which brought into play the question of if Yusei was wearing her out by letting her powers go on like this. Turning he looked at her, she was turned so she was only half facing him bodily, but her face was turned towards the battle. In lieu of an actual monitor revealing everything at a touch of a button she was forced to use the very basic of tech.
Her pale neck.
Technologies' first swivel joint.
Black feathers were starting to drift down as Crows flock of a deck began to return, having been sent to deal with one particular 'Trueman'. Yusei began counting each black feathered being as they flew past, their roost being where ever Crow was. So the spirits that Judai sent against Crow were about to have combat set upon them. "Aki how are you holding up?"
"Never better, who knew completely cutting loose with my powers could be so empowering," Aki answered easily enough.
'Ok so maybe I shouldn't worry about her running out of strength and worry more about what Black Rose Dragon can do.'
"No, behind..."
"Yes I see him."
Ryu frowned as he heard the conversation, not from what was being said, rather how it was affecting the deck at his hip. It was growing warm, a sensation he was completely unused to, the moment the lid was flipped back a soft glow erupted. Elation filled his heart as he hurriedly pulled out the deck and began fanning it out in his hands. Eyes pouring over each card in a desperate bid to find the one glowing.

"Man!" Crow growled as black feathers rained down from above. "Not me, you! Yusei look behind YOU!"
Above him a pitch battle began him, drowning him in a cacophony of squawking birds and outraged spirits. Frustration turned his lips downward into a frown while colors of different super heroes began to join the battle. His was only one deck but they were about to be focused on all of Judai's deck. So there really wasn't a way to get them to Yusei and no one was going to hear him 'now'!
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Witch of the Black Rose blinked as she felt the hem of her dress get tugged, looking down she saw Ryu looking up her a card glowing in his hand. "What's the matter Ryu?" She asked as she sank down so they were eye to eye.
"Witch, I need you go and ask big brother what he's trying to tell Yusei? I think its important." The fascinating child requested, because she was being ordered to go to Crow. Not asked given there wording was a straight out order. In his hands was that deck he was always carrying yet never dueled with. Out of its case, one card was glowing and he held it up for her to see, revealing a beautiful blue skinned woman with white wings behind her back and on the sides of her head.
She scrunched her mouth up to the side since this wasn't an order coming from Aki, but... "Normally I wouldn't cuz you're not Aki. But this 'is' a battle soo... be right back..." The spirit answered before blinking out of existence and traveling over to Crow.
"So Ryu wan- WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU!?" Witches' attempt at a conversation was suddenly preempted as she saw Crow. His hair was pinned down under that green headband. But he had these dusty gray trails and smears all over him. Cuts were clear to her eyes as gray slashes and she knew he was going to need that first aid kit humans used. Muddied lines were slashed across his arms and face the way she figured something tossed into that terrifying paper shredder would.
She didn't care of course he was one of that ruffian Yusei's friends. This was just concern that if he got too close to Aki he could smear concrete or blood on her nice clean partner! Right, exactly.
Crow was just stunned at how she appeared before him, all of a second was necessary for her to began to bluster at his appearance and injuries when he saw hope. He grabbed her, ignoring her squawk of lady like outrage, by the waist and turned her around so she could see where he was pointing. With the relief of how she stiffened in response.
"That's a dragon... that's the Crystal dragon that... I GOTTA TELL AKI!" She could see Rainbow Crystal Dragon's aura, the corrupted flow of light that was once their essence. Of course with Jesse just being bad lucked into a heart attack the dragon would come out of nowhere!
"Shields! We need shields now! DRAGON ATTACK DRAGON ATTACK!" Witch shrieked as she materialized among the group. "Crow is telling you to look BEHIND YOU NOT HIM!"
Ruddy red stained the concrete they had surrounded themselves with as Witch's warning struck all their ears. Everyone turned around in reaction where flames were starting to show up in the air, light of the dragon about to let loose.
"We can't lose Stardust!"
Everyone was thinking what shields they had among their decks to lend to Aki as Witch and Ancient Fairy began to generate their shields. Zalinka calling out her Ka out even if it put her in a mental zone.
'Not big enough...' Yusei realized, Crow was going to get hit, the Ladies would likely get hit or lash out in a way that would destroy the Gem beasts. More over why not just scorch earth the area? Yusei looked about to see what else could be done when he saw Ryu... what the hell type of 'dueling' style had the cards float in 'open air'?!
The others in Asuka's group were also just as in awe at the sight of what Ryu was doing. It looked very similar to the original dueling fields that were created by Pegasus and Kaiba. White light traced areas in front of Ryu like the trap and spell zone and the monster zones. It was simplistic enough that anyone would be safe in assuming it was just a new bit of KaibaCorp technology, nothing amazing just pretty.
Only no duel field or disc made the cards hover in the air, and Ryu's opening hand of five card were doing just that. Four glowing white, one glowing gold, they hovered before him leaving his hands empty as the spot for the deck was even represented and currently holding the deck.
Ryo frowned as he saw the cards and leaned over to Fubuki and Kazu who stood closest to him, "I can't see any information on the cards, can you?"
Fubuki and Kazu glanced at each other and squinted at the hovering cards before Ryu, yet it was as Ryo stated. Monster? Spell? Trap? The cards appeared to have the same design as the backs of the cards in the game. But it made no sense to have a deck that revealed your whole hand to the opponent so what was going on?
"No, they look like the back of the cards not the front... but we've never seen cards actively 'float' before so who knows?" Fubuki replied, before his gaze was pulled down to his own deck. "Then again I suppose we've never truly dealt with magic before huh?"
"We really don't have time for this by the way," Kazu pointed out feeling the very strong panic since his dear Queen did not have shield capabilities and he didn't want to be roasted physically. While his gut clenched when his reproachful gaze towards Ryo and Fubuki got coopted by poor Junko and Momoe and their clear terror filled panic. Asuka was between them and Aki, and Kazu quickly turned his steps towards the pair, sure he was just as useless. But he couldn't let them stand there alone!
Both the Emperor and Ice Prince, watched Kazu leave until they saw the girls and recognized the need. "Aki? Can you get my dragons to help Junko and Momoe out of here? It would help to shrink the size of the target."
Light from Ancient Fairy spread far across the field while the thorn tendrils of Witch wove into it. Just before turning ice blue with a kiss of winter with aid from the Ice Barrier that served Zalinka joining in.
'Ruka is the weak link in this though, her dragon is the strongest shield creator, but its going to cost her health to do this...' Ryo thought to himself while forcing the look of worry off his face. Even with two others boosting the Fairy's power it was still going to be hard.
"Superia! High Priestess of Sight! I summon you!"
Ryo and everyone currently not shielding was taken aback by Ryu's voice, more over the card he 'summoned'. A beautiful blue skinned woman materialized among them, her wings open and beating as she faced outward from him. She was dressed richly, but not as royals would rather modest almost priestly in a way though her gown was white.
"Dragons can only hit an area as big as their mouth, as bad as Crystal can get Superia can tell us where he's going to move. So we can direct the shields strongest point there!" Ryu pointed out as the woman looked about with this almost passing interest expression before turning her gaze upwards towards the night sky and the black dragon.
"How?" Jack voiced, while Carly cheered.
"Ok!" Ruka replied as Rua took her hand in his.
