Hey everyone, this is a little side story to the Power of Forgiveness. This is gonna focus on Isabel since the show never showed in detail how does she feel about Esteban's betrayal. It really does her injustice as it does to Sofia being mistreated in her own show. So Im going to address it in this in my Power of Forgiveness universe fanfics,.There's only going to be a few chapters so it's a short story. I hope you like it. Enjoy!
In the aftermath of Esteban's secret being revealed, Isabel went to her room and cried her tears out she was devastated that her own cousin will betray his own family, by sneaking Shuriki into the palace so she could kill her mom and dad, and take over Avalor, she never thought her own cousin would be a part of this cruel plot, she looked up to him like a big brother, she knew that he was a little grumpy at times but she overlooked it because that's just how he is, and that he was still family no matter what, but after what she just witnessed, she doesn't know if she can look at him the same way anymore.
She was curled up on her bed when she heard a knock on the door. "Isa?"
It was Elena, She can't see her like this, she didn't want her whole family to worry about her too. So she got herself together, wiped the tears from her face, and she let her sister in. "Come in."
"How are you holding up?" asked Elena
Isabel tried to make a convincing lie. "I'm a little shocked that Esteban would do something like this, But I'm okay."
Elena was confused, she thought Isabel would be devastated about what just happened. "Isa, are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure." Isabel said with a straight face.
Elena never wanted her sister to see something devastating like this at such a young age. "I'm sorry you had to see all that."
"It's okay, Elena" Isabel assured.
Elena begged to differ. "No it's not okay, you shouldn't have to experience your family turning against each other."
"I know, but it happened, and I can't do anything to change it, I just have to live with it." said Isabel.
Elena was more concerned about her sister's well-being at the moment. "I'm worried more about you Isa, if you don't feel like going to carnaval then..."
"I'm still going! Nothing is going to stop me from being with my family on this special day, not even Esteban." said Isabel
"If you're sure." Elena embraced Isabel with a big loving hug to make her feel better.
"So what's gonna happen with Esteban tomorrow?" asked Isabel.
Elena became honest with her sister. "We're going to have a grand council meeting for a trial against Esteban for his crimes, as soon as that's over, we'll ll start the Carnaval parade."
"I better get to sleep then." said Isabel
Okay, Good night Isa, said Elena
"Good night Elena." said Isabel.
As Isabel by pulled the sheets on her bed to cover herself she found it hard to sleep. She was still devastated that her cousin's betrayal and how it has affected her, now all the family she has left is broken. She doesn't know who to trust in the family anymore. Now she only has her sister and her abuelos I asked she had left. She closed her eyes and went to sleep with tears streaming down her face.
