Chapter 3 Pregnancy

Orko and Dree Elle have pretty much settled into their new life together. They were both very happy. It had almost been a year and a half since they were married. Little did the two them know life for them was going bring a change that will make them very happy.

Orko and Dree Elle were sleeping in bed in the morning. Dree Elle was waking up. She saw it was morning. Orko started to wake up too. "Good morning Dree Elle," Orko said.

"Morning," Dree Elle said. Then she sighed a bit and had a weary look in her eyes.

"You alright?" Orko asked. "You don't look so good," he said.

"I really don't feel so good," Dree Elle said. "I feel sick and tired," she said.

Orko touched her forehead. "Hmm you don't seem to have a fever," Orko said. "Maybe you ate something that didn't agree with you," he said.

"I feel so sick, tired and dizzy though," Dree Elle said and started to get out bed but almost fell down. Luckily for her Orko caught her.

"Something might be going on with you," Orko said. "Just rest Dree, I will call for a Trollan doctor to come," he said.

"I don't think there is need to, I think I'll be okay," Dree Elle said.

"Dree Elle you haven't been feeling well or like yourself for sometime," Orko said. "I think it would be a good idea for a Trollan doctor to take a look at you," he said. "It will put my mind at ease if you let the doctor look at you," he said.

"Okay," Dree Elle said.

The Trollan doctor arrived and came into the room. "Okay Dree Elle let's take a look at you shall we?" The Trollan Doctor said. He examined Dree Elle from head to toe. To make sure she was alright. Then after the exam he knew what was going on. "Okay I examined her and she is perfectly healthy," he said. "But I did find one little thing that is going on and wont go away until six months and then be a big part of you two's lives." he said. "Dree Elle is pregnant," he said.

"We're going to have a baby!" Dree Elle said.

"I'm going to be a father!" Orko said.

"Now I do want to go over a few things with you both," The doctor said.

"Okay," Orko and Dree Elle said.

They were so excited about the baby. They couldn't wait to tell everyone. They came out a bit later at dinner. "Hey we saw a Trollan doctor is everything okay?" Adam asked.

"Yes everything is fine," Orko said.

"Yes things are just fine," Dree Elle said. She was at peace with everything.

"Well we know you haven't been feeling like yourself, are you alright?" Teela said.

"Yes I am just fine," Dree Elle said. "The doctor took a look at me and said I was okay, and did say something else," she said and placed her hand on her middle.

"What did he say?' Cringer asked.

"He told us we're going to have a baby," Orko said. "So Dree Elle is pregnant," he said.

"Congratulations," Marlena said.

"That is wonderful news Orko," Randor said. "We will have to make the empty room next to you two's a nursery," he said. "I know your little baby will be a welcome addition to the palace," he said.

"Thank you King Randor," Orko said. "I am grateful for it." he said.

"As am I," Dree Elle said. "Trollans are pregnant for six months and I am only about a month along so we have plenty of time to get ready," she said.

"Awe a little baby Trollan," Teela said.

"Yes what wonderful news," Adam said.

"Congratulations little friend," Man at arms said. "I can see it now, instead of having one egg on my head there will be one more," he said.

"I have been more careful," Orko said.

"I know you have," Man at arms said. "But if the baby is anything like you we better watch out," he said.

"Funny real funny," Orko said. "Plus we don't know if the baby will be anything like me or Dree Elle," he said.

"I meant no offense Orko," Man at arms said. "I just know you do have a talent for trouble," he said.

"I know," Orko said. "I am worried the baby may get that trait too okay?" he said. "I am already nervous enough about this even though I am happy and excited about it and I don't know why. I am happy and excited about it, but I am also scared and nervous about it," he said.

"I am just as scared and nervous," Dree Elle said.

"Well you two are going through what a lot of parents go through," King Randor said.

"Yes I was wreck when Adam and Adora were going to be born," Marlena said. "But it was a very happy day once I held them it was wonderful," she said.

"Well you can count on our help Orko," Teela said. "Because we love both you and Dree Elle," she said.

"Yes and we will love your baby too," Adam said. "So this will be a happy day when the baby comes," he said.

"Thank you all of you," Orko said.

Time began to pass. Dree Elle's belly was growing big round. Orko and the others managed to get the nursery ready. They were super excited about this and looking forward to the baby being born.

It was super exciting. Then the months of waiting had turned to mere days. Dree Elle was feeling very expectant and also very excited and worried. She was just waiting for labor to begin. Then on a nice warm summer day that moment came.

The Trollan doctor came quickly a couple of Trollan nurses came with him. Everyone was excitedly waiting for the baby to be born. "It's been hours is everything okay in there?" Cringer asked.

"Well Cringer these things take time," Marlena said.

Then from the room where Dree Elle was giving birth crying was heard. "Sounds like the baby has arrived," Adam said.
