Raven and Gale walked and searched through the school, but both were still having no luck in finding something. Then, a question popped up in Raven's head.

"Why exactly does this Darkness want the Storybook of Legends in the first place? What is the whole point in doing so?" she asked.

Gale… didn't really know how to answer this question.

"Well... My mom's diary only mentioned it being important but… doesn't specify how, so-"

"You don't exactly know what to do once you find it." said Raven, summing it all up.

"Hey, It was the best lead we had at the time. We also needed others on our side. But whenever we find people, it is either they help us or against us. Some of which is not due to the darkness."

"And how do they even infect people anyway?" Raven asked.

Thinking about it, she answered "Well, it starts by capturing you first. Then it seeks into your mind and looks into your fears, nightmares, desires, anything that it might use to corrupt you. There were a few times it happened to me and the others, but we managed to prevail well enough. Though some are long gone in corruption to even have a chance to come back."

"Must be hard. Dealing with it once it spreads."

"Yep. And a lot of pretty close calls too."

As they walked, raven couldn't help but think about the ones infected. To be in their worst nightmares until being succumbed to it. She still has a few doubts that they were telling the truth, but if they were right, then she needed more proof.

"And how does one know if they're infected? How do I know if you or your brother aren't infected yourself?"

Gale looked at her. Over the years, she adapted to figuring them out. And just by looking at the witch, she could see right through her concerns. She expected it.

"They would seem normal, sure. But there's the hints of other stuff that are different. Like for instance in magic." Gale showed her hands, and a light red aura erupted around her hands, startling Raven.

"You have magic?!"

"Long story. But to explain further, the color of my magic would be different. Either gray or black. When the corruption is revealed, they would show signs of their worse selves and completely black eyes. And if me and Ax were infected, then we would've come for you two right away."

It was a good explanation. But is any of it true?

"You're thinking if any of this is true, aren't you?" The older girl asked, taking Raven off guard. Sighing, Gale handed a photo.

Raven took it, and widening her eyes. She looked at Gale for some form of confirmation.

She answered with a smirk, "This ain't fake, I'll tell ya. Your magic could sense it. And trust me, that time was a real hexing experience. Any more to confirm?"

Raven shook her head.

"Good."

As they arrived at the door, Gale looked at the knob only to find a lock combo with purple and black colors on the door.

"Pixie dust. Judging by the material, the lock's magic proof. We need a code. How are we gonna- What are you doing?" She got cut off as she saw Raven go to the door and simply put in a code and opened it.

"How did you do that?" Gale gaped at her.

"What? I simply opened it." Raven said like it was talking about the weather.

Gale still was even more confused. "How can you just open it? You don't seem like the person to carry a lock pick at all times. The only possible explanation is that you know the code. But how come you have it in the first place?"

Raven looked worried, but easily thought of a way to escape the question. "That's not important right now. What is important is finding whatever we can to help us."

Gale went along with the most suspicious excuse she ever heard of in her life. Everyone has their secrets that they wouldn't share. Besides, she'll find out eventually.

The two looked through the corridors and every inch of the shelves to look, but nothing. Just then, Raven pulled out an object from the desk and when she looked at what it was, she instantly put it back. However, Gale noticed this action.

"What was that?" Gale asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Just... something that I thought was personal to look into and seemed like something that's not important." Raven said, nervousness was written all over her face. And if there was, there would be a big sign saying "Secret" in highlights.

Kitty: Over dramatic much with that?

Shut up. I'm trying to create a story here

Kitty: Fine.

But as always, she decided to lay back on the conversation since she always manages to find something. As they kept looking, Gale instantly found a folder in a drawer that said "Top Secret"' in bold letters.

Jackpot!

As Gale read the contents of the words, her eyes and jaw went wide.

Raven saw this and asked. "Why do you look surprised?" she said as she went to her, reading the paper.

"20 years ago, Ever After suffered through a plaguing control of darkness that spread through the people's minds like a parasite. In doing so, they manipulated their host into their madness and nightmares, while twisting their personalities into their worst possible versions of themselves."

'Huh. I guess that makes sense. But how come it was never mentioned and not a big deal now?' Raven thought. To get answers, she continued reading.

"Not only that, It kept trying to gain access through rabbit holes to wonderland in order to spread its corruption, along with the other worlds out there with a device called the "Mirror Portals"."

Raven wide eyed at that. "Wait... "other worlds?!" That sounds like something out of a sci-fi book.

"Yeah. didn't expect it either." Gale said, then noticing another sheet of paper. "Hang on. There's something else."

She took it out and both Raven and her looked at another document.

"During those times, Headmaster Milton Grimm and his brother, Giles Grimm, formed an alliance between the different worlds, calling it the "Council of Worlds". This teamwork all had representatives who were each from these places in the multiverse, including the sister of the Grimm brothers."

"Did it just say "the sister of the Grimm brothers?" Headmaster Grimm has a sister?!" Gale proclaimed. She looked at Raven, who looked like she saw a murder.

"Hey, are you okay?" she said, sounding worried.

Raven... was not okay. "He... He never told me this. Why didn't he tell me?"

"What do you mean?" The older girl asked with a raised eyebrow once more.

"I..." was all the witch could say.

Gale, who had enough of the ominous secrecy, went to the desk as quickly as she could to open the drawer and take out a paper that was in Raven's hands from before.

She... was stunned. What she found seemed to be a drawing made by a toddler. But what surprised her was two figure doodles that appeared to be the headmaster and Raven with smiles on their faces. Her shock only grew when poorly spelled words were above but was readable to reveal a shock.

"You're Headmaster Grimm's Granddaughter?!"

Raven winced at the alarmingly loud reaction that her ear felt like ringing, causing her inner crisis from before to disappear for a brief second. But one thing was clear in her ringing head.

She's gonna be giving a lot of explanation, and given herself never clear explanation when she's done talking to her Grandpa Grimm.

Maddie & Kitty: What?!

Yep expected this reaction a mile away.

Lucky: Course you did. You love a good reaction.

Maddie: How- This is beyond what I was expecting! This news is crazier than no tea at tea time! And tea time always has tea!

Kitty: How did that even happen? Don't those two hate each other? Wouldn't that contradict a few things? Jeez, this place gets just as bonkers as Wonderland sometimes.

Brooke: Trust me. I had the exact same reaction.

You think this is crazy? Wait till you see the other family reveals.

Kitty: You're kidding right?

All will be revealed! Through drama!

Lucky: Oh boy.
