Apple had a really long night. Which was an understatement. She wasn't even sure what time it was and in that few spam of hours the events of unpredictableness led from one thing to another.
First she had double the sibling reunions with her older siblings and her younger siblings.
Then she finds out her older siblings ran away because her mom was under some freaky mind control caused by some unknown entity called the darkness that wants to corrupt anyone and anything for who knows what.
Then there's the fact that Raven got involved when she wasn't supposed to but wanted to help like the good and wonderful person that Apple loves and admires very much.
And now more people got involved when running into Raven And Gale. Two of them were the Headmaster and Briar and the others were boys that she didn't seem to recognize but for some reason one of them is in a masquerade get up.
And how does Apple feel about all this?
Well, not much but now she just wants to get all of this over with because it has been a long, long night. She can hear the crazy things they all have to say now while she is also going through some shock at some of it and then she can go sleep in Raven and her shared dorm.
Yeah, this isn't new. Apple was starting to think that she was getting used to all the craziness happening in this school.
"Handsome face!" cried out one of the boys, running to them and to Apple's surprise, kissed her brother in the cheek.
"Who the hex are you?" asked Aaron, eying the guy suspiciously.
Before the boy would answer, Gale beat him to it.
"Apple, Ax, who're these kids and why are they with you?"
The blonde girl sighed. Whelp, time for another freak out. Wonder how her older sister would take this.
"Hang on a minute," Briar came in, recognizing the twins. Why is she here?! "Aaron, Orchard, Eira?!"
The three of them shouted in excitement as they said, "Briar!"
"Briar, you know these kids?" asked Raven.
The sleeping princess nodded, "We played a lot back at Apple's castle. Lots of fond and adventurous times."
"You taught them to ride a hang glider." Apple said, sternly looking at her BFFA while remembering the traumatic events.
"I regret nothing."
"I still remember my screaming." Her younger brother Orchard shuttering at the memory.
Briar let a sheepish chuckle as Apple's glare grew harder. Gale was still confused. Apple, noticing this, looked at her older sister.
"Meet your younger siblings, the White triplets."
Gale's face was that of something comical along with Raven and the other boys. Her eyes wide and her jaw falling down. Apple was worried and was about to ask if she was okay when Gale shouted in shock.
"Mom got pregnant again and to Triplets?!" blinking out of her surprise, Gale instantly had stars sparking in her eyes as she gave a big bear hug to the young ones. "Oh my godmother, they're so cute!"
The kids had multiple obvious reactions to being squished to death.
"Hey! Too tight!" cried out Aaron.
"Geez, she's even stronger than you!" shouted Eira, trying to get out.
Poor Orchard on the other hand was too focused on trying to breathe than to say anything.
The other guy and the masked one were snickering while Axel, expecting this reaction, went to his younger sibling's cry for help, "Gale, I know you're excited and that this is really great and all, heck I'm happy about it too, but can you please let go of them? They kinda need the air."
"Oh, right. Sorry." Gale said, letting go of them as they gasped for breath, "I just can't really believe it."
"I can't believe it either!" shouted an excited Aaron, "But this is so cool! I get to have more siblings! All three of us have so many questions! And are those tattoos?!" he said, pointing at the tattoos on Gale's arm.
"Oh! Yeah, got them a while back." She said, showing him the various images of tattoos littered on her arm.
"Cool! I want some!"
"Maybe when you're older." stated Apple, sternly, making Aaron pout. "What I really want to know is who these people are and why Headmaster Grimm and Briar are here?"
Yes. Why were they here? And who are the three boys that appeared?
"I can answer for some of us who are here." said one of the boys who bowed his head, "My name is Drake, your majesty. And the boy here," looking at the guy that kissed Axel, "Is my brother, Crow. I'm sure you've already known my sister."
Crow gave him a questioning look, "Seriously, I know she's royalty but do you really have to go knight mode even without your armor even to our sister's friend?"
"Wait, sister?"
"Um…" Apple turned to the kind voice that she was very fond of as Raven chuckled nervously, "These are my brothers." her nervous expression turned to glaring as she looked at her brothers.
"Wait," Axel said, connecting the dots at what this entails, "I'm dating my mother's enemy's son?!"
Kitty: Wow, say that three times fast.
"Yeah, shocked me too, gorgeous." Crow said, wrapping an arm around his boyfriend's shoulders and giving a wink, to which made Axel blush crimson while Aaron glared at loving birdbrain.
Gale looked at a dumbfounded Apple white and whispered to her ear, "Yeah, we kinda figured out that we're dating the members of the Queen family just now. But hey, maybe this could be a good chance for a triple date with Raven tagging along with you."
Apple blushed just as much as her older brother. Thank godmother that Raven wasn't listening in. Was it really that obvious to both of her older siblings?
Raven rolled her eyes at her flirt of a brother and realized something else, "Now that I think about it, you never said why you two were here. And you as well"
Raven looked at the Headmaster as he was put on the spot. He did not want to be here.
"What, why-"
It was Apple who interrupted in suspicion, "Yeah, wait a minute. You're supposed to be out of the school today for a meeting. Why are you here exactly?"
The Headmaster froze and tried to come up with some explanation or excuse. Unfortunately he couldn't and he slumped his shoulders in defeat.
Briar didn't know who to look at in this confusing interrogation. "Okay, I think I'm getting mixed up on asking questions to who, so Apple, why are all of your siblings, including the ones that ran away, here?"
Apple had to admit, she was confused with it as well, "Well, the triplets thought something was wrong when I didn't write back. As for Gale and Axel… Well, do you know about the Darkness?"
Briar blinked in confusion, "As in the dark in the night kind of sense or…"
"Okay, so you don't know." Apple said and looked at her siblings, getting them to explain since they are the ones with more experience.
"Magic corruption by an unknown entity that we know nothing about and wants control of everyone and everything." Gale said, explaining the whole gist of it.
"What?! How did you figure that out?!"
All attention fell on the shocked Headmaster Grimm, who shrunk as he realized what he just did.
"Um… Grandpa?" asked a confused Crow.
"Care to explain?" Raven said while narrowing her eyes at her grandfather.
Apple looked at both the ravenette and her twin brother as she heard their words, "Wait, did you just say-"
"Deal with that later," Drake said, looking at his grandfather with skepticism, "Grandfather, what do you have to say for yourself?"
Before the old man would respond with some explanation or excuse to escape his predicament, someone had caught a certain person moving away from the scene.
"Where do you think you're going, Theo?!" shouted Briar as she angrily noticed the masked figure trying to scoot out of here.
"Fuck." he muttered.
"Not in front of the children!"
"Ow!" Theo yelped as Briar whacked him in the back of the head.
"Wait," Headmaster Grimm looked at him up and down, inspecting his whole get up and focused on his mask. "I've seen that mask before. You're the Masquerade Rose!"
"Wait, as in…" Eira said as she racked her head at the name while Aaron finished for her.
"The greatest thief known throughout the lands and kingdoms of all time?!" said Aaron, eyes lighting up, "We get to see the Masquerade Rose face to face!"
Everyone except for the Rebellion looked at Theo in disbelief.
To all that don't know, the Masquerade Rose is the greatest thief that puts Robin Hood to shame. He steals without ever letting anyone track him down or find even a glimpse of him through highly secured cameras. All they receive is a card with his name and a picture of a mask.
And now they see him for the very first time.
Theo would have felt pride fueling his head and ego, if it weren't for Briar glaring at him with more rage than ever before.
"Oh you are so gonna explain yourself, dear big brother of mine."
And like that, Theo was dragged by the ear by his younger sister pulling him away to give him one big lecture. The greatest thief was grabbing in a begging way to the others to rescue him from a very pissed off Briar Beauty.
Sadly for him, the others either gave him a flat look, shaking their heads in fear at what Briar might do to them, and some shrug. Drake was even giving him a look that said "You did this to yourself. It's your problem".
Apple honestly feels bad for him. Sure, he was a thief. The greatest thief in fact. But to endure through Briar's wrath, then she could only pray that he survives.
Raven also watched while feeling bad for the guy as well, but looked at her own brothers and was waiting for her own answers.
Crow, being the idiot he was, pointed at his brother and the lectured thief, "It was their idea, not mine!" he shouted in a pitiful attempt to put the blame on someone else.
Drake, used to his brother's antics, gave him a flat look, "I remember correctly that it was your idea to tag along to their mission that they specifically said not to go because you stated that a good boyfriend should always look out for his lover and would be devastated if something bad were to happen."
Axel looked at his boyfriend, warm and fuzzy feelings at the heartful statement, "You did this because you were worried?"
Crow took both of Axel's hands and his expression determined with great love, "Of course! You are a great and wonderful guy and always cares about the people that matter to you the most, I wouldn't live with myself if something terrible befalls you!"
Apple stares at the two and couldn't help but feel happy for his brother to have such a loving partner.
Raven was happy for them two, but goddamn, this was not the time for her brother to have a heartfelt couple moment.
But now that she thought about it, she was kinda the one asking for the answer in the first place, so…
Gale looks at her own boyfriend, "Why can't you be like that?"
With a slight blush, Drake grunted as he looked away.
"What? Shy? Too embarrassed?"
"No."
"C'mon, I know you want to say a few nice words to your girlfriend."
"That's-"
"Stop!" All eyes turned to Aaron, his sister looking away as if trying to seem like she didn't know him.
"I can't take this! The both of you stop being lovey dovey. Especially to my brand new siblings!" he angrily said, pointing to Crow and then to Drake, the latter raising a brow to ask who's the one being lovey dovey in this situation.
Apple tried to steer her brother away as she grabbed her brother by the shoulders, "Sorry, about him, he can get pretty protective of his siblings very easily."
"Yeah, don't mind him, he's been an idiot ever since he hit his head at birth." Eira stated, pulling Aaron's arm for them to get away with Orchard following.
"Hey!"
"You'll learn once you get older."
Apple couldn't help but sigh in relief but also from exhaustion. She knew they could be a handful alright. It was why the maids back at her home let her deal with them since they knew she could deal with them better than them. And even though she doesn't mind, it always was tiring trying to keep up with them.
And it was good to get the kids out of earshot from the predictable conversation about the darkness talk.
"Now that that's settled," Raven turns to a frozen Headmaster Grimm as he looked like he was about to skedaddle as he had the same idea as Theo, "Why exactly are you here?"
The Grimm, nervous but quickly brought out a safe face, cleared his throat, "I had just finished my meeting, that's all. And I would like to know what are you all doing here?"
Raven knew he was trying to get himself out of the interrogating radar as much as he could. She knew it wouldn't last long. The purple witch knew it wouldn't last long, as she knew her strict old grandfather can't pretend while backed into a corner.
"Apple and I happened to find people who know something about a certain corrupt darkness, some documents in your office say it all, along with a few other certain details. Mind explaining?"
The Headmaster's facade was wearing down but tried so hard to put it back together, "I don't know what you are talking about! And whatever it is that you saw Miss Queen, stay out of it."
They stared down at each other, two sides not backing down. One was an old man (Who knows how old) with an unhealthy issue with destiny and the other was his granddaughter with Evil Queen magic flowing through her veins. The tension was more tense as it dreaded across the room that it could be sensed outside in the halls.
The unfortunate people that had been forgotten to the two watched as this went on, not knowing which to look at in this shivering debate as they looked back at the Headmaster and then onto Raven. All of them were unsure which one would lose to this intense staring contest.
(Scene stops as Kitty was sitting on the page eating popcorn with Maddie beside her, both watching intensely)
Kitty: (Points above) Hey! The show was just getting good!
Brooke: Sorry, I just had to check because I kept hearing you guys eating popcorn so we kind of had to check.
Maddie: It's alright, Brooke! (Takes a piece of popcorn and throws it in the air as it lands in her mouth) Just continue!
(Scene continues)
"And what about these?" Raven said, using her magic to make the documents appear in her hands in a puff of purple magic fire.
"Where-"
"Like I said, in your office." said Raven, cutting off his sentence in a dull but effective tone in her voice, "You and I both know that I have access to it any time."
Try as he might to not fess up, he knew that there was no denying the evidence right in the hands of his granddaughter's hands. It's just that he wished he had more time.
Headmaster Grimm sighed in defeat, "What do you want to know?"
