Chapter 1:
Chris Tribal was exploring the ifia tree after deciding to leave the party. He noticed the elevator was broken. He sighed thinking about how Garnet's adopted mom was killed by kuja. He sighed remembering his training as thief from being a member of the Tantalus theater troupe. He looked at his sword and being a knight of Pluto and also his abilities as a summon even though he could only summon carbunkle. He sighed noticing his hands were trembling. He suddenly remembered something.
"Garland?"
He laid down on the broken elevator and sighed. He looked up at the night sky. He took a breath and picked up his sword. He noticed his hand was unstable holding it.
"Why did that death effect me so much, could it have to do with the family I had before zidane that I don't remember!"
Chris took a breath noticing Mog and Eiko. He sighed as Eiko took a seat next to him and looked him in the eyes. He closed his eyes and yawned. He felt mog poking his face as Eiko laid down next to him.
"Hey Chris, I get why you didn't head back to Alexandria was the first time you witnessed something bad?"
Chris nodded no and took a breath opening his green eyes. He turned and faced Eiko and crossed his arms.
"It was kuja, using bahamut like that to kill someone for there own selfish reasons and the sadness in Garnet's eye pained my heart!"
She nodded and punched Chris in the arms and smelled his breath. She chuckled as Chris realized why, she did that. She chuckled as he stood up and pointed his face.
"I haven't drunk for a week, Eiko anyway I am looking for something I thought I noticed Bahamut dropped a gem while leaving with Kuja and had some ideas where it dropped on the ifia tree, in the ifia tree or around it!"
Mog noticed looking around some rocks and found a garnet among them. He blinked as Chris summoned Bahamut. He noticed Chris was trembling. He noticed Chris was frozen in fear.
Chris gulped while looking at Bahamut. He then felt Eiko grabbed his hand. He felt a little bit calm as Bahamut spoke.
"Listen well, you can summon other Eidolon but the connection has been broken but you were able to hang on to your connection with carbunkle!"
Chris felt a little less scared and more shocked at what, he just learned. He turned to face mog and Eiko. He sighed noticing Kuja appeared behind them.
"Okay what do you know about this, Kuja?
Kuja looked at Chris and chuckled. He noticed Bahamut and noticed Eiko. He walked towards Chris and ruffled his hair. He had a wicked little smile on his face as he explained what happened to Chris. He noticed the look of fear in his eyes. He noticed Eiko and Mog tried to rush him. He order Bahamut to attack Chris using Garnet stolen eidolon. He quickly fled and was shocked as Chris and Mog pushed Eiko away from Bahamut attack.
Eiko was in tears seeing no traces of Chris or Mog. She looked to Kuja who fled on Bahamut. She was wondering what to tell Zidane and Garnet. She felt her heart was broken losing her best friend mog and her friend Chris.
Chris sighed finding himself floating in a space that was the life stream. He sighed turning to face mog. He noticed mog was just thinking to itself and noticed tears on Mogs face. He placed his left on his face and noticed tears as he thought about being zidane adopted younger brother and there friends and the family he didn't remember.
"I wonder if this really is the end for us,mog?"
Chris took a breath looking at mog and smiled. He chuckled noticing Mog was an eidolon. He sighed and thought back to Bahamut flames engulfing them. He noticed mog left their ribbon near Eiko. He felt himself pass out before waking up as a baby in a new world. He sighed internally as his new mom handed him off to a attended.
" Useless Child, can't even have the blessing of the phoenix!"
Chris sighed in his head looking at his new mom. He noticed an older brother and then a middle sibling. He smiled as both of them were excited for him being born. He felt his abilities as a summoner and skills as a thief from being a member of the Tantalus theater troupe and his training as a knight from being a knight of Pluto. He look forward to his new life and hoped for the best for his family and friends in his old life.
Meanwhile in Gaia, Eiko was heading back to Alexandria. She was holding Mog ribbon and sighed looking at Chris sword that She found at the base of the ifia tree. She sighed laying in the back of the carriage that she got a ride from. She sighed wondering how to explain this to zidane and there friends.
