Laundry Day
Lucy closed the washing machine, turned it on and went to her bedroom. She had done several missions in a row and she had not had time to do the laundry. She had nothing to wear except a t-shirt and a pair of shorts that Cana had given her as a joke.
That day, she was once again fond of the bottle and she had given her a very low-cut pink tank top with white mini shorts that had JUICY written in big letters on the back. Lucy had thanked her, embarrassed, but she had never worn it.
She knew that Cana's actions should not be taken seriously when she was in this state, and she probably did not remember giving her those clothes. But since that day, Lucy had decided to never wear it in public. She was too ashamed.
But today, she had no choice. It was that or to be naked while her laundry dried. And it was not like anyone was going to see her dressed like that. She would be mortified. The window of her bedroom suddenly opened. Oh no, Lucy thought horrified. Not now.
"Lucy !" Natsu exclaimed.
"Hello Lucy !" Happy said.
"What are you doing here ?"
She wanted to hide or cover herself, but Natsu was standing on her bed and she could not take her blanket.
"We're out of food," Happy explained. "We came to see what you had in your fridge."
Lucy did not have time to say anything. Happy had already left the bedroom and she could hear the door of her fridge open. She looked at Natsu who was staring at her wide-eyed. In a second his expression changed and he was trying not to burst out laughing.
"What are you wearing ?"
Lucy blushed to the roots of her hair. She had turned her back on him for just a second, but he had managed to see what was written on her mini-shorts.
"It's laundry day !"
Natsu finally burst out laughing and Lucy was more and more embarrassed.
"I had nothing else to wear," she tried to explain.
Natsu stopped laughing. He had a huge smile.
"You are pretty like that."
Lucy blushed again, but for a different reason. Only Natsu could make her blush like that. He went to join Happy to empty her refrigerator. Lucy fell to her knees because of all the emotions she had felt all at once. She put her hands on her red cheeks and smiled. She thought that maybe Cana had had a good idea to give her these clothes. And maybe she could wear it again. At home and only when Natsu was there.
