Elanor's Pizza rental
Mike crawled aimlessly for the exit as multiple questions floated: "Afton, Afton, Afton. No matter where I go, that name ALWAYS pops up. Just who is he? Where did he come from? Why did he kill those children? Why did he target my family's pizzeria for his murders?" Mike then unknowingly wanders into a random room. It looked like the office from his pizzeria. Multiple screens, scattered blueprints, an operating table, and a claw arm exist.
The hand spoke, "It seems you have accidentally wandered into a highly restricted and dangerous area. You've entered from maintenance hatch 1B, reserved for cleaning and repairing the scuper. Entering this side of the room is strictly prohibited by unauthorized personnel, and due to the sensitive nature of the materials that you may be exposed to here, you will not be allowed to leave until the cleanup crew arrives at 6 am. So hang tight! Rest assured that you will be promptly rescued, fired, and sent home. Thank you for being an employee. We hope that your experience has not been as regrettable as ours."
"Yeah!? Well, the joke's on you. I don't work here, and even if I did, I WOULD QUIT!" "*sigh*" "Where am I?" Taking his bearings, Mike looked at one of the blueprints. It has an arm similar to the one in the room. It has dialogue. "The main purpose of the Scup (Scalable Creation of Ulterior Presence) is to take out the endoskeletons of the Circus Baby's Pizza World animatronics." Mike then looks at the Scup. "Maybe I should stay away from that thing for now." Mike then looked at the table. "Is that for the animatronics when it's scooping time?" Mike then heads to the trash can, hoping to find some clues. He sees a rusted game cartirige. He picks it up and sees the words "Chipper and Sons, Lumber Co." "I remember this game; it came out in 1993 and was backlashed for being scary looking. It doesn't help that the characters look like they belong to Freedy and Friends. "He looks at the creator's name and sighs,"And it was made by my father's partner to boot.No wonder this was here"Mike puts the carterige down, then heads to the screens and reads a password request. Below is a control panel. "A password? Could it be?" Mike's mind flashes back to last night when he was introduced to the secret room. He then shudders. "I suppose it can't be helped." He then enters the number 1983. [Access granted] The screen shows Mike multiple files. "Good gracious. Where do I start?"
One hour later
Vanessa enters the highly restricted and dangerous area. "Hey Mike, are you ok? I did some more investigating and took out the animatronics by myself to give you space, but-"
Vanessa stops herself as she hears Mike crying. "Vanny. *Sniff* I'm sorry you saw me like this. Both back there and here." Mike then turns to face Vanessa. "I did it. I know who Afton is. Where he came from. Why does he kill, and why is he out to get me and them."
The Miller Estate
Mike and Vanessa are sitting on the front porch, and Mike recalls what he learned from the files. "My father had an abusive father. His name was Big Bill Miller. He liked to beat up father because of how strong he was compared to him." Mike then clenched his fist. "The abuse was so bad that he ran away from home and found Steve Raglan and his traveling circus: Freddy the dancing bear. It was also where he found mom, Clara Raglan. The Raglans were a better family than Bill. Bill found out, and his grandpa argued over Father's custody. An argument that Grandpa won. Humiliated, Bill then killed Grandpa out of petty revenge, and he was promptly arrested. What everyone didn't know is that Bill had an affair, and that affair born a child."
Vanessa then had a realization. "Afton"
Mike nods. "Afton is a literal bastard who wants to destroy my family out of vengeance for everything that happened all those years ago and even went as far as to kill my sister!" Mike then makes a fist as he sees a blond, green-eyed baby girl. "Father disappeared for 20 years to find him."
"Do you know where he is now?"
Mike shook his head. "No, Vanessa. *Sniff* I don't know where he is, or Afton, for that matter. *Hic* They could be anywhere or dead!" *Pound!* Mike then slams his fist to the ground. He has tears swelling in his eyes as helplessness overwhelms him. "I just don't know what to do here."
Vanessa then placed her hand on his shoulder. "Hey, at least you can sleep easily, knowing that your father is innocent of all this."
"That may be true, but what about the ghost? What about Henry? Should we get him involved?"
"Michael, even if we're super generous and say that Henry understands and forgives everything that happened, the fact remains that two of his kids died due to this family affair. Do you really think he would want to see another Miller again?"
Mike sighed. "Nah, you're right, and frankly, the ghost element is so hard to believe that I'll be coming off as insulting to the dead."
"As for your ghost question, the best bet I got is us setting them free. The corpses are in the suits, right?" Mike nods. "Then we would have to get them out."
"Vanny, what you're saying is easier said than done. Even if we get them out of there somehow, would they just manifest as ghosts and try to kill us?"
"Not if we set them on fire."
This grabs Mike's attention. "Set them on fire?"
Vanessa nods. "I got this from a book from the factory."
Vanessa then shows Mike a book. It's titled Remnant of the Soul. By: Dr. Talbert and Phineas Taggart. He takes it and reads it. ""Every living thing has a soul, and every soul has three essential components: The body, which serves as the engine vessel for the living; the mind, which serves as the seated driver for the consciousness; and finally, the immortal fuel that continues to exist in the Afterlife, Remnant. Remnant exists everywhere in the body and mind, but its primary location has always been the sacrum." The sacrum?"
"That's the bone in the pelvis."
"Ah, ok. "the sacrum was named that because it was once held sacred as the battery to life, or at least its generative component. The sacrum is usually the last part to fall to pieces when a human body decomposes, and it was thought in medieval times that the resurrected dead would regenerate their bodies from this bone, but it can't do that without…"" Mike then stops reading as he pieces together what the book is saying: "A vessel. The animatronics are a vessel."
"Hard and sturdy vessel."
Mike continues reading, ""The sacrum must be inserted into a vessel to give life, but it must have a mind to function properly," Or, in this case, an AI. "If one gets a vessel and a driving conscience, the last step is to turn the sacrum into a liquid by using heat and have that liquid either flow inside the vessel or cover the vessel with the liquid from every angle. That way, the remnant would be forever intertwined with the vessel and the conscious, thus barring the soul from the afterlife and reanimating the dead back to life." Did Afton know about this?"
"If he did, then he would have done his murder very differently."
"There's only one way to kill a remnant-infused reverent, and that is more heat. When turning the sacrum into a liquid, it's important not to heat it too much, or else that soul is gone for good. Returned to the afterlife where it belongs." Mike closes the book and stands. "So it's settled then. I may not find my father or Afton anytime soon, but they will all be free tonight. Down to the last one."
Vanessa also stands: "That's the spirit, no pun intended. Now, stop me if I'm wrong. We have 11 spirits in 9 animatronics. Well, 11 if we count the cupcake and Mangle's second head."
"Yep, that's right."
"Are you sure that's all of them?"
Mike thought over it but remembered last night when Gabriel was talking about introducing him to someone: "There's another."
"Another?"
"I haven't met them, but last night, when I was pretending to be murdered, the ghosts talked about meeting me with someone in the secret room."
"So we have 12." Mike nods. "We're going to have to set the place on fire and ensure no one leaves."
"We're going to need some serious gear. The next time they see me, I bet they'll kill me right there on the spot, and tasers alone would be insufficient."
"I got that covered."
Vanessa shows Mike an earpiece. "What's this?"
"Found it in the factory. On the blueprints, their purpose is to talk to an animatronic, but I reversed-wired them, and now the animatronics don't see me."
"That's how you took care of them!" "and since the animatronics you're up against are less advanced than the funtime ones."
"It should work on them. Vanny, you're a genius!" Mike proceeds to hug Vannesa
"You feeling ok?"
"For once ever since 1983, *sniff* I'm fine. I had no one ever since that day. My three best friends moved away; my dad was too preoccupied with the bit to notice a fire during the final fall fest and to top it all off, everything was sold to the Aemilius after all of this. I was outcasted, branded a killer, and no one wanted to come near me; and how can I, considering how I killed my brother? I really should thank you, Vannessa J. Fitzgerald. For giving me a chance."
Mike let go of Vanessa. "Wish I said all this on a proper date."
Vannessa then kisses Mike: "It's good enough, Mikey. Let's get some more proper gear for the night." Vannessa walks to her car, and after a few seconds, Mike follows.
Meanwhile, at the Pizzaria
Everyone is in the secret room getting their bodies fixed up. The dweller is now upgrading the bodies due to the constant electrical attacks and installing communication devices.
"She outdid herself, huh?" Brooks asked as she looked at her animatronic.
"Well, in all fairness, Jason inspired her with the drawings he found. I don't know what he was drawing about, but in all frankness, I'm not surprised that even the way he draws is monstrous," Jeremy commented.
"*Tch* Of course he draws monsters, and now we're his, so why be subtle? Besides, he's seen too much of us, and I'm tired of seeing that fucking face each night," Suzie answered.
"You and me both, and honestly, we should have done this long ago," Ron complained.
"And we owe it all to Jacob and Alanna. Raiding his stash was an excellent idea, car included." Gabriel complimented as he looked at his mini but nightmarish Freddies.
"At least the next time we get a shock, or if our dials are set to 20, we won't get stunned for too long," Jacob pointed out.
"And that means we can finally kill the purple bastard," Alanna commented.
Everyone relished his eventual karma. "We can only do that if we kill him on the spot. No more idle surprises for us and no more break-ins for him. Everyone must be stationed at an entrance and be in communication. The moment he comes in, He dies!" Charlie commanded.
"Before we do that, though, I have a critical question for all of you," Cassidy announced before his voice darkened. "Do you two still want answers from him?"
Lisa's head hangs down while Fritz gets defensive. "Come on, man, he's the one who started talking.I was close to killing him until an unwanted assistant rescued him."
Cassidy sighs, "Fine, fine. Jacob, Alanna, make sure that the assistant has no equipment." Cassidy turns to Lisa, who has her head down. He places a hand on her shoulder, "Follow the plan. That's all I ask."
Lisa looked at Cassidy and nodded, smiling. "I will. There will be no setbacks."
The dweller announces, "Alright, the repairs are finished. I thought I would have him for myself, but it can't be helped. Run along, little children and Cassidy."
"Yeah?"
"Don't forget to use the gas if once the time comes. "
Everyone leaves the secret room, with Charlie tailing with Cassidy. "All of this will soon be over, isn't it?" "It will, brother, it will soon."
Once everyone leaves, the dweller then makes a phone call.
Jennifer Jane's house
Jennifer is on the phone. "Hello? Oh. I see. I'll let him know." Jennifer hangs up and walks to a workshop. She sees a man wearing a face plate and using a blowtorch. "Honey, they found them. The real deal. We could open that sister location soon."
The man looks up and nods. Jennifer returns to her office. The man then stops working and turns to two robotic heads. They looked like Bonnie and Chica. Except they have blush stickers and brighter coloring.
"Is it time?" They both asked.
The man removes the face plate, and tears flow down his face. "Not yet, but soon, and if it goes well, then this ends for all of us."
Author's notes: At the time of this chapter's postage, I recently started a new job as a ramp agent at Swissport in the DFW airport. Meaning that this was the point where updates gotten slower, but I will continue this, and as promised, the next chapter will be the fifth night, where Mike will face a horde of angry animatronics. As for the dweller, the man, and Henry, Dave, and Afton's whereabouts, you'll get answers once I finish the next chapter. See you later.
