Chapter 155 Tales of the Past 4

As time went by there were few Rebel activities going on due to the Empire's crackdown. Danny spent most of his time at FentonWorks helping in the garage, training with Maddie and Clockwork, and sparring and doing physical training with Jazz. Tucker, Wulf, and Valerie managed to find some random odd jobs to get themselves money as they stayed low and avoided any Empire forces as best they could.
Maddie could tell that Danny was getting a bit stir crazy from being at home, so after a training session, she decided to tell Danny and Jazz a little story from her past to help get their minds off their current situation.
"Kids let me tell you the story about how I revealed I was a Jedi to your father and help put a stop to a terrorist plot." Said Maddie to her children as they rested in the kitchen.

Maddie wiped some sweat from her brow as she finished working on a landspeeder in the FentonWorks garage. It had been a few years since Order 66 and the rise of the Empire and Maddie had gone into hiding and started a new life for herself. Maddie had been a fairly good engineer and good with figuring out machines during the days of the Clone Wars, so she had a fair amount of skills to fallback on and had gotten herself a job at FentonWorks, where she met the own Jack Fenton and eventually fell in love with him and got married. Maddie enjoyed her new life. Jack was a good husband and Maddie hadn't told him about being a Jedi, though she eventually planned to do just that.
Things were fairly good, though there. was one annoying problem in the form of a nasty obese Besalisk known as the Junkman that ran a criminal gang and protection racket in the area. The Junkman's three main enforcers were a trio of Trandoshans named Zix, Travoltron, and Tee. Now Maddie could have easily dealt with these criminals, but that would involve revealing she was a Jedi and getting the Empire's attention and she didn't want to put herself or Jack in that kind of danger, so she just bared the actions of the Junkman and his crew. Jack had tried to alert the local Stormtroopers and authorities about the Junkman and his actives, but his words and concerns were just simply ignored. The Junkman and his little gang were just small fish not worthy to be dealt with by the Empire.
Things went on, until one day Zix, Travoltron, and Tee stormed into FentonWorks, but instead of simply taking money for protection they grabbed Jack and loaded him into a landspeeder and flew off. Maddie grabbed a cloak and her lightsaber from it's hiding spot, jumped onto a speeder bike, and tailed the criminals to a large abandoned factory. She watched the criminals take Jack into the factory before she dismounted her speeder bike and crept to a window to get a look inside. Inside the factory there were dozens of humans and alien criminal types standing around with boasters observing other humans and aliens working on dozen of ships and implanting bombs on them. A few of the workers appeared to be working on pilot droids.
Maddie was stunned by this odd operation as she saw Jack be lead to one of the larger ships and be forced to work on it with some other workers. The Jedi decided she needed to get inside and see if she could figure out what was going on. She managed to find a ladder and climbed up higher, until she found a window to crawl in through. Maddie found herself on a catwalk and snuck around trying to figure out who was in charge around here and what exactly was going on. She saw the Junkman on a lower catwalk talking to a large barrel chested man with a dark goatee and mustache with a monocle over his left eye, dressed in black and silver armor with a horned helmet, and a jet pack strapped to his back. One thing that caught Maddie by surprise about the man was that he appeared to have two lightsabers on his belt. Maddie crept closer so she could hear the stranger and the Junkman talk.
"How goes construction of our flying bombs?" Asked the man.
"Very good Captain Rangun. I had my men bring in a few more mechanics and engineers and we're working them hard. The last of the bombs should be finished by this evening and ready to fly." Said the Junkman.
"Excellent. Soon we shall strike a blow to the Empire by having the ship bombs flying and smash themselves into buildings all over Goza City and send a great deal of fear throughout the rest of the Amitrax System. Then we shall take the city hostage and demand a great ransom if the people wish to not having their city bombed some more. Then will do it again on another planet then another, until we are richer then our wildest dreams." Said Rangun.
"Quite a good plan sir. You really are one of the most feared pirates that served with the Trade Federation." Said the Junkman.
Rangun? Maddie remembered hearing about some Trade Federation members hiring pirates and various mercenaries to aid their droid armies during the Clone Wars. She recalled a few of the most dangerous people recruit and Rangun was one of them and seeing that he had a couple of lightsabers it was clear that he was dangerous and had killed a few Jedi during the Clone Wars and collected their lightsabers as trophies and to be used as weapons like General Grievous.
Now Rangun was planning to launch some kind of insane bombing attack on Goza City and the Empire. Maddie had no love for the Empire, but innocent people would be caught up in the attack and she needed to rescue Jack and the other mechanics and engineers that had been forced to work for Rangun.
Maddie snuck around the catwalks and took in all her surroundings and what she could use to put a stop to the operation. She climbed down stealthy to the ground floor and snuck to one of the work benches finding a breathing mask used for working with hazardous materials and put it on to hide her face. Maddie then snuck around and found a couple of guards keeping some watch on some workers, one of the workers was Jack. The Jedi took a deep breath as she attacked one of the guards and putting him in a chock hold that quickly made the guard lose consciousness. Maddie grabbed the guard's blaster switching it to stun before she shot the other guard knocking him out and getting the attention of Jack and the workers.
"Who are you?" Asked Jack.
"Let's just say I'm a concerned citizen with skills and I'm here to rescue you and put a stop to this madness." Said Maddie.
"Well you have my support." Said Jack.
"But how exactly are we supposed to stop this?" Asked one worker.
"We can use these guys own explosives against them. We just need to detonate one of those ships near some support beams to bring this place down and get the authorities attention." Said Maddie.
"That could work, but we're going to need a distraction." Said Jack.
"Leave that to me, you just focus on the explosives and rescuing the others." Said Maddie picking up a grenade from one of the fallen guards and headed back up to the catwalks.
Maddie got up high and located a group of fuel barrels before tossing the grenade ate them. The grenade exploded sending a few guards flying and getting everyone's attention.
"Who are you?" Demanded Rangun.
"Someone who's going to put a stop to your plan." Said Maddie before she pulled out her lightsaber and activated.
The workers and criminals stared at Maddie stunned. Jack and his group looked up at Maddie equally stunned by this before they quickly went back to knocking out a few guards and rescuing their fellow workers to help secure one of the ships. Rangun's surprise turned into a grin.
"A Jedi huh? I thought all your kind were slaughtered. Looks like I get to add another lightsaber to my collection!" Said Rangun as he pulled out his two lightsabers and activated them.
The lightsaber in Rangun's hand was blue and the one in his left was green. Rangun activated his jetpack and flew up to the catwalk Maddie was on and landed in front of her. The guards pointed their weapons up at Maddie, but Rangun gave a command.
"No do not interfere. This one is mine." Said Rangun before he charged at Maddie swinging his lightsabers.
Maddie quickly went on the defensive as she blocked Rangun's attacks with her lightsaber and retreated back across the catwalk. Rangun was indeed a good sword fighter and had the strength to back up his talk. Maddie deflected one lightsaber and flipped over Rangun delivering a Force push to the pirate to knock him to the ground, but Rangun rolled with the push and quickly got back to his feet, before charging at Maddie again. Maddie switched up tactics and went on the offensive striking back at Rangun and making him block her attacks.
As all that happened Jack and the freed workers reached one of the ship bombs and activated it. They made the droid pilot drive the ship over to one of the main support beams and once it reached it the bomb exploded destroying the beam and caused the whole factory to shake and shudder!
"What is happening?!" Yelled Junkman before he took notice of Jack's group.
"Stop them!" Yelled one of the guards next to Junkman.
The freed workers who had stolen some blasters began shooting at the guards, who shot back. A few stray shots hit some of the ship bombs and more few barrels causing more explosions in the factory and fire to rise up and spread!
"No! What have you done!" Yelled Rangun in dismay at the sight.
"Looks like your operation is up in flames." Said Maddie.
Rangun responded by activating his jetpack and flew around the catwalk striking it with his lightsaber and making the whole thing start falling to the ground! Maddie quickly used the Force to jump from the falling catwalk to another catwalk that was stable, before leaping down to a parked ship, and finally the ground.
"We have to get out of here!" Called Maddie to Jack and the other workers.
Both workers and guards began to flee and exit the factory. Maddie got out and have to dive to the ground to avoid getting decapitated by Rangun who flew by overhead. Rangun turned around and flew at Maddie who got to her feet. Maddie concentrated and used the Force to help her dodge the oncoming attack and slice into the jetpack on Rangun's back!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Shouted Rangun as he lost control of his jetpack and crashed into the ground several yards away and knocked himself out.
Maddie put away her lightsaber and located Jack. The explosions and fire attracted the authorities, who quickly arrived and began rounding up the criminals and questioning the workers. Maddie grabbed Jack and lead him into a alley where no one could see them and she removed her mask and hood.
"Maddie?!" Said Jack in stunned recognition.
"Hey Jack, I came to rescue and the others." Said Maddie.
"You're a Jedi." Said Jack.
"I am." Said Maddie.
For a few seconds neither of them said nothing.
"You really are a incredible person." Said Jack with a smile.
"Thanks. Now let's head back home." Said Maddie.
The two of them got onto the speeder bike and headed home as Rangun and the other criminals were arrested.
Present.
"That was the last time I picked up my lightsaber for combat before joining the Rebels and began Danny's training." Said Maddie.
"That's was incredible!" Said Danny.
"You saved a ton of people, including dad! You're a hero mom." Said Jazz.
"Thanks you two. Now I want you to clean up and rest. Things might be tough with the Empire now, but will figure something out and put a stop to them. I promise you things will get better." Said Maddie.
The siblings nodded and went to clean up and rest. The story of their mother had reinvigorated their spirits and their desire for justice and putting a end to the Empire's tyranny no matter what stood in their way.
