Teen Titans Unleashed
Note: This one will be a filler episode focusing on the Titans North. I'll have some elements we saw in "Mad Mod" and "Revolution".
Pop Quiz
The episode begins showing the door of a big dark room, which is then blown down by a big blast of red energy. The blast was caused by Red Star, who was accompanied by his team, the Titans North as they enter the room. They walked into the room as they glanced around cautiously as they were searching for something together.
Gnarrk glanced around before looking at Red Star as he said, "Gnarrk?"
Red Star glanced at him over his shoulder as he said, "I understand your concern, but our source says the victim was brought here. We must find them and rescue them from whoever kidnapped them."
Argent made her hand glow red to help light the room as she said, "I don't know Red. This is looking pretty suspicious to me."
Kole stood close to Jericho with a slightly nervous expression as she said, "Yeah, I just hope we're not making a mistake."
Red Star turned to his team as he bravely said, "I am wary as well, but if someone is in danger we must help them. But be on guard."
Jericho nodded in agreement and then they heard a mumbling and looked at the end of the room and saw someone standing with their back against the wall. The person had a bag over their head as they mumbled something in distress with their hands tied behind their back.
Kole pointed at the person as she yelled, "There he is!"
They all hurried over as Jericho untied the person's wrists while Gnarrk said, "Gnarrk."
Kole smiled as she held her left palm up and said, "Gnarrk says, 'Don't be afraid. We're here to help.'"
Red Star agreed as he lifted the bag off the person's face as he said, "Yes. Do not worry. You're now."
Immediately after he removed the bag from the person's face they were shocked to see Mad Mod, who smiled and said, "Thank you, but I can't say the same for you my duckies!"
They all gasped in shock as they stared at him as Red Star said, "Mad Mod!"
Mad Mod smiled at the Titans North while he pulled his cane and a gas mask as he deviously said, "That's right lad. You lot have walked right into my trap."
He put on his gas mask and then the ruby on his cane lifted to reveal a button which he pushed with his thumb. Suddenly a bunch of gas came out of the walls and ceiling and filled up the room as the Titans North all started coughing simultaneously.
Argent kept coughing as she shouted, "Knockout gas! We have to… Have to…"
She could not finish her sentence as she lost consciousness and fell to the floor, and soon the same happened to the others. Kole was the second to pass out, Jericho desperately tried to help her but he soon fell asleep as he laid on top of her. Gnarrk passed out and fell on his back and Red Star was the last one standing before he got on his knees, desperately trying to stay awake.
He looked up at Mad Mod and pointed at him as he said, "You are despicable."
He then fell to the floor and passed out, and after a moment the knockout gas dissipated and Mad Mod took off his gas mask. The Titans North were all out cold and completely at his mercy, all part of his brilliant trap and plan.
He smiled down at the Titans North as he arrogantly gloated, "Children are so easy to fool. It's a good thing you've got me to teach you lot a lesson."

The Titans North all woke up to find themselves strapped to high-tech chairs that were neutralizing their powers. They were all in a giant atrium of what appeared to be some kind of British university, with paintings and statues of Mad Mod. It was clear that they had been captured and brought to a facility that Mad Mod had created, no doubt full of dangerous boobytraps and weapons. They all tried to use their powers but the chairs had neutralized most of them to prevent them from escaping. Kole managed to crystalize herself but since she could not move in her crystal form it did not do her any good at all. She changed back while Argent failed to create anything with her red energy, and Gnarrk was constricted by large mechanical restraints. Jericho was bound by simple restraints while Red Star's hands were covered by high-tech restraints that prevented him from shooting his red energy.
They desperately struggled but could not break free, then Kole turned normal and curiously asked, "What happened to Mad Mod?"
They all turned forward as Mad Mod appeared in front of them with a grin as he said, "Right here my duckies. You lot recognize me so it sounds like you've been doing your homework."
They all glared at him as Red Star declared, "The Titans have shared files on their enemies with us. We know all about your dangerous traps and machines."
Argent leaned forward as she spitefully said, "And about all your smoke and mirrors. Is this a hologram of your younger self while your real self works in a control room?"
The ruby on Mad Mod's cane glowed with white energy as he angrily jabbed her with it, shocking her as she cried in pain.
He stopped and smiled as he smugly asked, "Does that answer your question love?"
Kole stared at Mad Mod as she asked, "What do you want with us?"
Mad Mod showed a twisted smile as he paced the floor in front of them while he explained, "Glad you asked dear. You see, I've been studying all you new Titans and I've been wondering how good you lot are. I've done a bit of research on you Titans North and I've come up with a little test for you."
Gnarrk was confused as he asked, "Gnarrk?"
Mad Mod walked over to Gnarrk and glared at him as he condescended, "Yes and I doubt you'll all pass, especially this one! Since those Teen Titans won't learn a thing from me I might have better luck here. First, we'll start by teaching this caveman some proper English!"
Gnarrk glared at Mad Mod in anger while Argent showed disdain and said, "You know, I've been to Britain and I have to say, you give REAL British people a bad name!"
Mad Mod smiled coyly at her as he held up his cane and said, "Now, now, there's no need for insults love. You lot are in my school now and if you play by the rules you'll all learn a thing or two from a good teacher."
Red Star glared at Mad Mod as he defiantly said, "We will not learn anything from you. We will escape and send you back to jail when-"
He was interrupted by the sound of a school bell and then Mad Mod smiled evilly as he said, "Oh, enough small talk, you don't want to be late for class."
They all screamed as they fell through trapdoors and were transported into different rooms in Mad Mod's facility. Red Star was transported into what appeared to be a history classroom with a big chalkboard in front of him.
A hologram of Mad Mod appeared as he smiled wickedly and said, "Red Star, history lesson. In World War II the British and Russian militaries banded together to conquer the world and bring about a new proper order."
Red Star glared at Mad Mod as he denied, "That is not what happened!"
Mad Mod smiled as he pointed his cane at the chalkboard and said, "Yes it is lad, watch, I have a video to prove it."
The chalkboard then changed and showed one of Mad Mod's hypno-screens as it displayed black and white swirls.
Red Star gasped before shutting his eyes while struggling to break free; Mad Mod annoyedly said, "Stop squirming boy! That chairs been designed to contain your nuclear energy!"
Red Star's entire body started glowing red and Mad Mod was surprised when suddenly he stood up and raised his fists, destroying the chair and freeing himself.
He shot a ray of his nuclear energy and destroyed the hypno-screen before he stopped glowing and said, "You underestimate my power."
Mad Mod smiled evilly again as he said, "Maybe, but I have plenty of surprises planned in case you kids start misbehaving."
The hologram then vanished and the walls moved down to reveal a dozen of Mad Mod's robot British soldiers. Red Star gaped in shock for a moment as they all aimed their weapons at him, but his fists glowed red as he took flight and started blasting them. He destroyed three of them before one shot him and knocked him down, then another came and smashed him into the floor with its fists. Red Star immediately got up and lifted the robot British soldier into the air and threw it at four others, destroying them all. He then flew and smashed the rest of the robots with his fists before leaving through a door and entering a giant hallway.
He glanced around as he cautiously said, "Robin's notes say that Mad Mod plants boobytraps and weapons all over his facilities. I should proceed with caution."
He slowly crept down the hall with his hands out as he glanced around for anything that might be a threat. Suddenly the floor opened up beneath him and he fell but took flight and looked down to see what looked like a giant trash compactor beneath him. The mashers were huge and would crush anything that fell down there, but then Red Star looked and saw flying busts of Mad Mod coming toward him. They fired weapons from their eyes but Red Star easily smashed them before grabbing the last one and throwing it down into the compactor.
He then flew into a room on the other side of the hall, where he heard Kole yell, "No I won't!"
He flew off in the direction he heard her voice and shouted, "Kole!"
He came to an art room where Kole was being held as she shut her eyes to avoid looking at the hypno-screen in front of her.
He tried to help her but an energy barrier blocked his path and sealed him away from her as he desperately tried to punch through.
He could not breach the barrier as Kole kept resisting and said, "I won't let you hypnotize me!"
Suddenly some laser turrets came out of the walls and aimed at her while Mad Mod spoke over an intercom and said, "Now my dear I need you to pay attention. I can't teach you anything if you don't listen. If you don't listen I'll have to try to get your attention another way."
Red Star had his hands on the energy barrier and shouted, "Kole! Look!"
She opened her eyes and saw the turrets and heard them make noises as they all simultaneously charged to fire. She then smiled as she got an idea and waited for them to shoot, then she crystalized herself and absorbed the lasers harmlessly. She then refracted their energy and shot it from her crystal body in every direction, prompting Red Star to shield his face. She made lasers shoot and destroy everything in the room including the hypno-screen, the turrets, the generator maintaining the energy shield, and even her chair. Red Star was impressed as Kole was lying on the floor before changing to her normal form and getting up as she smiled at Red Star.
He walked to her and smiled as he said, "Good thinking Kole."
She smiled proudly as she said, "Yeah, Mad Mod wanted me to pay attention so I did, and he helped me escape."
They both glanced around as Mad Mod's voice said, "Very clever my dear, but you'll have to be more creative if you want to pass my class."
They looked and saw some statues of Mad Mod start moving toward them as they activated high-tech weapons. Some paintings on the walls also started moving and out of them came seemingly real living lions, tigers, and bears.
Kole glanced at Red Star as she pointed at them and asked, "Are those real or illusions?"
Red Star glared at the animals as he seriously said, "I suspect they are not real but are just as dangerous."
The statues of Mad Mod attacked first and Red Star waisted no time smashing them with his fists before a big one grabbed him with mechanical pincer claws. Red Star struggled in its grip before firing a ray of his red radiation from his hands and blew up the robotic statue. Kole bravely stared at the animals before a lion jumped at her, but she crystalized just when it was about to hit her. It crashed into her and fell to the ground before vanishing in a flash of light, then she turned normal and ran at a tiger and jumped at it. She crystalized in the air and fell on the tiger, destroying it as it vanished in a flash of white light, then she turned normal and looked at a bear. It stood on its hindlegs and slashed its claws at her, but she did cartwheels to avoid its claws before it tried to bite her. She remained still and crystalized as it bit her head, showing pain before it too vanished in a white flash of light. She turned normal and saw more fake animals coming at her, but Red Star joined her and they smiled and nodded at each other. She jumped in the air and put her hands behind her head with her elbows out to her sides as she crystalized, then Red Star grabbed her by her legs and flew at the fake animals. He swung her like a giant mallet and destroyed the fake animals before they left the room and entered another hallway.
Red Star put her down and Kole changed to her normal form as she gratefully said, "Thanks for the save Red Star."
He looked down at her with a serious expression as he said, "You're welcome, but we are not safe yet. We must find the others."
She nodded in agreement and they pressed on; meanwhile Jericho was still strapped to his chair in what appeared to be a library.
He glared with disdain as Mad Mod paced the floor in front of him before staring him in the face as he said, "Now, I've tried being reasonable with you boy but I'm starting to lose my patience. Why don't my hypno-screens work on you?! Speak up!"
Jericho said nothing, as if he could, and he stared into Mad Mod's eyes as his eyes changed color and he tried to possess him, but nothing happened.
Mad Mod smiled arrogantly as he stood up and flickered, revealing himself to be a hologram, and he said, "Sorry lad, they'll be no possessing in my school. The only one possessing anything is me possessing you lot!"
He laughed evilly and while he was distracted Jericho used his legs to push himself back, knocking over his chair and causing it to break.
He was free from the chair as he held his wrists and then Mad Mod smiled and said, "Persistent boy, but class isn't over yet."
He then disappeared and some busts of Mad Mod started moving as they activated different mechanical weapons and attacked Jericho. One attacked him with a chainsaw, but he dodged it and made it cut one of the other robot busts instead. Jericho then kicked the bust with the chainsaw and knocked it over, then one came behind him and tried to zap him with a device in its mouth, but Jericho grabbed the device and pulled it out. He zapped the bust with the device and made it fall down, then he jumped between two busts as they launched saw blades at him, but he dodged them and they cut each other instead. Jericho made it out of the room and started running through a hallway, where a bunch of dangerous boobytraps activated. He ran and demonstrated his skills and agility as he swiftly dodged lasers that were shot at him, ducked under giant blades, avoided falling through trapdoors, and narrowly jumped through a laser grid.
He made it to the other room and walked, startled when he heard Argent shout, "Let me out of here!"
He ran and opened a door to find her in what looked like a music classroom with various different instruments around.
She was turning her head to look away from one of Mad Mod's hypno-screens while she said, "I'm not gonna look! Let me out of here right now!"
She glanced up at the ceiling as she heard Mad Mod's voice say, "Now love, don't give me that attitude."
Jericho immediately ran over and tried to free her hands while she looked at him urgently and said, "Jericho! Glad you could make it!"
Suddenly Mad Mod said, "Now, now, we'll have none of that. Why don't you two get an earful of this."
The horns and other instruments in the room started making sonic noises that made Argent cry in pain as she cringed. Jericho also cringed in pain as he covered his ears and got on his knees, but could not block out the noise. Argent got worried as she looked at him and tried to think of something when she noticed her feet were not restrained. She then kicked out and made her chair shake before she managed to fly while still strapped to it, and then she slammed against a wall and broke the chair. Her hands were free and she created a giant knife of her red energy that destroyed all the instruments making noise.
The sonic noise stopped and she flew to help Jericho as she asked, "You okay?"
He smiled gratefully at her as he nodded and then they noticed some robotic statues of Mad Mod coming at them with weapons.
Argent smiled as she floated and held her hands out while saying, "I've got some musical talents of my own."
She then created two giant drumsticks out of her glowing red energy and used them to smash all of the robotic statues. She smiled triumphantly before Jericho tapped her shoulder and then pointed his thumb behind himself.
She smiled as she said, "You're right. Let's get out of here."
She then created a large platter out of her red energy, and Jericho stood on top of it as she flew out and carried him on it. They went into another room and landed in a hallway full of lockers; they proceeded carefully when all of the locker doors opened up. Out of them came various different bombs and blasts of energy and they all avoided them as they hurried down the hallway. They came to huge black and white room and were accompanied by robot British soldiers, which Argent destroyed with a giant fist of her red energy.
Argent looked at Jericho and said, "This is one school I'd love to get out of."
He nodded in agreement and they continued; meanwhile Red Star and Kole escaped from a room full of fire before slamming the door behind them.
Kole gasped in shock as she exclaimed, "Gnarrk!"
They were in a science classroom where Gnarrk was still bound to his chair as he stared at the hypno-screen with his eyes swirling black and white while drooling.
Kole and Red Star went to him while Mad Mod mockingly said, "Now this chap I'm making progress with. His empty head has plenty of knowledge to store. Why under my teaching he might learn more than one word!"
He laughed mockingly as Kole desperately shook Gnarrk and said, "Gnarrk! It's us! Snap out of it!"
Red Star used his strength to rip off the restraints holding Gnarrk, but he was still in a trance as he kept drooling with his eyes swirling. They turned as they heard a noise and saw robotic statues of Mad Mod rise out of the floor with weapons. They fired lasers at them but Kole stood protectively in front of Red Star and Gnarrk as she crystalized herself. She absorbed the energy of the lasers and shot them out of her body back at them and destroyed the robot statues.
Red Star picked up Gnarrk and held him over his shoulder as he said, "Good, now come. We need to get him somewhere safe."
They hurried out and sometime later they were still trying snap Gnarrk out of his trance but could not get him free.
Red Star was stumped as he held his chin and said, "How can we break him free from this trance?"
Kole smiled at Red Star as she suggested, "Starfire told me that when Mad Mod hypnotized Beast Boy they just needed to make him laugh. Let's try it."
She smiled as she leaned next to Gnarrk and said, "Gnarrk, a Triceratops got stuck in a tarpit."
He did not respond and she was at a loss as she looked at Red Star and said, "That one always knocked him out before."
Suddenly they heard Argent shout, "Kole? Is that you?"
She and Red Star turned as Kole shouted, "Argent?!"
She and Jericho came around a corner and smiled as they hurried toward them while Red Star happily said, "My friends! You are alright!"
Jericho and Kole happily hugged each other tenderly while Argent proudly said, "Mad Mod's traps couldn't stop us."
Kole smiled at Jericho and Argent before frowning at Gnarrk while she said, "It's great to see you two, but we still have a problem."
They all looked down at Gnarrk as he kept drooling and Argent asked, "What's up with him?"
Kole was concerned as she honestly said, "Mad Mod got him with one of his hypno-screens. We don't know how to snap him out of it."
Jericho then stared Gnarrk in the face and possessed him, then he stood up and smiled as he said, "No problem! I can help him with that!"
He then left Gnarrk's body and Gnarrk was back to his normal self as he smiled at Jericho and said, "Gnarrk."
Kole happily embraced Jericho before kissing him as she happily said, "Jericho you're amazing!"
He smiled as he blushed while rubbing the back of his head, then Argent smiled and said, "Great, now how do we get out of here?"
Red Star narrowed his eyes with a serious expression as he answered, "That will not be easy. Mad Mod no doubt has this entire facility boobytrapped. If we are to free ourselves we must defeat him and take his cane."
Argent clinched her left fist as she enthusiastically said, "Then let's find him and take it!"
Kole smiled eagerly as she turned to Gnarrk and said, "Yeah! Come on Gnarrk! It's time show Mad Mod how smart you really are!"
He narrowed his eyes as he eagerly shouted, "Gnarrk!"
He took off running until another hypno-screen came out of the wall and put him in a trance as his eyes swirled and he moaned while drooling. Jericho quickly possessed him and then left his body, snapping him out of it and he expressed frustration as he groaned.
Mad Mod then appeared in front of them, wearing a dark red cape, a blue fedora, a white scarf, and brown stylish shoes.
He smiled arrogantly as he had both hands on his cane and said, "Sorry my duckies, I'm afraid you lot won't be going anywhere until you learn your lessons. For instance, here's a lesson in fashion."
He raised his cane up and fired a white laser at them and they all dodged it while Red Star yelled, "Get the cane!"
He fired a small blast of his nuclear energy but Mad Mod wrapped himself in his cape and it shielded him from the blast. He then took his hat off and threw it at Jericho, he avoided it and the rim of the hat chopped through a statue behind Jericho. Gnarrk ran at Mad Mod and tried to punch him but Mad Mod dodged him before swinging his cane at him, shocking him with white energy and knocking him away.
He fell to the floor as Mad Mod glared down at him and insulted, "Maybe if you paid attention boy you'd actually have a brain!"
Gnarrk angrily got back up and tried to grab Mad Mod but he swung his cane and shocked him with white energy again and knocked him away. Argent flew at Mad Mod while Kole ran beside her, then Mad Mod took his scarf off and lashed it like a whip as stretched to great a great length. His scarf lassoed Argent's wrist and he yanked on it and made her crash into Kole as they both fell to the floor.
Jericho helped Kole up while they all regrouped and looked at Mad Mod as he gloated, "You see my duckies? Jolly old Mod knows a thing or two about style. You have to dress for success."
They got up and glared at him as Red Star's fists glowed red and he said, "Your tricks may help you, but they will not stop us!"
Argent agreed as she said, "Yeah! It'll take more than some cheap superficial things to keep us from beating you."
Mad Mod smiled slyly as he said, "Oh but we're just getting started love."
He then banged the bottom of his cane on the floor, causing a trapdoor to open up beneath Kole, Gnarrk, and Jericho. They fell down the shaft as Kole and Gnarrk screamed while Red Star and Argent floated and looked down in terror. Then two giant tubes came out of the walls and sucked up Red Star and Argent like giant vacuums before pulling themselves back into the walls.
Mad Mod smiled maniacally as he said, "They never learn, so I'll just keep teaching them until they learn the hard way."
Commercial break
Kole and Argent screamed as they fell down the shaft with Jericho and then they all landed in what appeared to be a giant gymnasium. They were joined when Argent and Red Star were blown out of openings in the walls beside them and they all groaned as they got up.
A hologram of Mad Mod appeared in front of them as he smiled and said, "Now my duckies, it's time for gym class. Now for this I'd like to introduce my volunteer asistants."
Five mysterious villains then emerged from trapdoors in the floor as they glared and leered at the Titans North. The one in the middle looked to be a man with a robust high-tech suit of armor; his armor was dark blue and black and was bulky and muscular. He had what looked to be turbine engines on the sides of his shoulders, his helmet was pointed and almost cone shaped with glowing red eyes and an orange light on the forehead. He had three more orange lights on each pec of his chest and he had large bulky boots, and he had what appeared to be five giant thick tailpipes on his back pointing up. The second was a girl with a thin build, hourglass figure, a blue mohawk, and dark blue unitard, who suddenly turned her body into water with an evil smile. The third was a tall skinny man in a suit with a cane somewhat like Mad Mod's; he had a glowing bluish white lightbulb covering his head and he was wearing a top hat on it. The fourth was a young woman with white skin and long blonde hair, she wore a white and gold dress that went down to her ankles, and she had a golden mask on her face somewhat like Robin's. The final villain did not appear to be human, he was a brownish orange humanoid lizard/dinosaur-like creature who only wore grey shorts. He stood over seven feet tall with broad shoulders and bulky muscular build; he had a thick armored hide and a hunched posture. His neck was slightly longer than a normal human's as it bent forward and he had a flat face, he had a row of ridges along his back and he had a long flexible tail. He had large hands and big feet, though his legs were shaped somewhat like those of a dinosaur's but with humanoid feet and five human-like toes.
The Titans North stared at the five villains in curiosity as Kole asked, "Who are these guys?"
Mad Mod smiled as he pointed his cane at her before introducing each of the villains while he said, "I decided to further test your skills against some new villains who even the Titans never faced before. Say hello to Ignition, New Wave, Mr. Combustible, Golden Glider, and Ridge."
Ridge snarled while the others prepared to fight and the Titans North stood in fighting stances while Mad Mod laughed happily.
He then waved his hand down as he said, "Time for some exercise!"
He kept laughing as his hologram vanished and then each villain started fighting one of the Titans North as they separated. Jericho fought Mr. Combustible, Gnarrk fought Ridge, Kole battled New Wave, Argent fought Golden Glider, and Red Star was fighting Ignition. Red Star jumped at Ignition and tried to punch him, but Ignition fired an orange ray from his gauntlet and blasted Red Star back. Red Star recovered and took flight before firing two rays of his red radiation at Ignition, but the tailpipes on his back pointed down as he used them to fly. He dodged the rays from Red Star and flew at him and punched him in the face, sending him crashing to the floor. Ignition got back on his feet when Red Star flew at him but he emitted a big smokescreen from his tailpipes. The smoke cleared and he was gone as Red Star searched for him, suddenly Ignition jumped at him and punched him to the ground.
He stared down a Red Star and gloated, "Smoking is bad for your health, but not mine!"
Red Star got up and glared at him as he grunted and punched him in the face, but his helmet protected him before he turned the tailpipes on his back and aimed them at Red Star. He shot a powerful blast of fire that sent Red Star flying and crashing through a wall, but he flew out of it and kept fighting.
Red Star tackled him and stood over him as he shouted, "Your pollution will not stop me!"
Ignition kicked Red Star off of him and they kept fighting as they flew at each other yelling in fury and prepared to punch each other. Meanwhile Kole was fighting New Wave on her own as she stared at her cautiously while the girl made of water wiggled in front of her.
Kole stared at New Wave in shock as she smiled psychotically and tauntingly said, "Want to join the swim team?!"
Her body was completely made of water as she stretched her arms out and tried to punch Kole, but she managed to dodge them. She ran at her and kicked her in the chest but New Wave's chest only splashed as she smiled and then punched Kole and knocked her down. Kole got back up when New Wave stretched her other arm at her again, but Kole crystalized and New Wave's hand splattered against her.
New Wave's hand reformed as she glared at Kole, who turned normal and happily said, "I'm not that strong a swimmer, but I can take a hit."
They kept fighting while Gnarrk punched Ridge in the face and made him stumble back before he tried to punch him again.
However, Ridge grabbed his fist and held him in place as he glared at him and said, "Caveman, you're out of time."
He then turned around and swung Gnarrk over his head before throwing him at the bleachers, Gnarrk was dizzy as he got up. He saw Ridge running toward him as he roared and tried to smash him with both fists, but Gnarrk jumped back and dodged him. He then saw a rope hanging from the ceiling and jumped to swing from it and kicked Ridge in the chest, knocking him on his back, and landing on his chest.
Gnarrk smiled as he cheered, "Gnarrk!"
Ridge glared at him as he punched Gnarrk off of him and then charged at him while roaring as they both kept fighting. Mr. Combustible swung his cane at Jericho, who dodged it and then tried to kick him, only for Mr. Combustible to block it with his arm. He jabbed Jericho in the chest with his cane and made him slide back as he stayed on his feet and glared at him. He then ran at Mr. Combustible and blocked his cane when he swung it at him and then stared at him as his eyes changed. Nothing happened as Mr. Combustible swung his cane at Jericho's face and knocked him to the floor.
Mr. Combustible looked down at Jericho as he gloated, "Sorry boy, possessing won't work on me."
He then reached into his coat and pulled out three small round bombs and threw them at Jericho, he dodged them as they exploded and then he jumped and kicked Mr. Combustible in the chest. He stumbled backwards but kept fighting Jericho while Argent floated a few inches off the ground and stared at Golden Glider.
Argent smiled as she held her hands over her head and used her powers as she said, "How about a fun game of dodgeball!"
She then created a dodgeball of her red energy over her head and launched it at Golden Glider, but she dodged it. She then sat on the ground and shut her eyes as she seemed to be meditating, much to Argent's confusion. Golden Glider then demonstrated astral projection as her spirit left her body; her astral form glowed gold and shined bright with a little bit of glitter around her.
Argent was surprised as Golden Glider floated in the air as she smiled deviously and said, "Ever fight a ghost before?"
She flew at Argent with great speed and punched her in the face, knocking her down; Argent immediately got back up and floated in the air. She created a fist out of her red hardlight energy and tried to punch Golden Glider, but she did not move as she smiled while the giant fist passed through her. Argent was speechless as she stared at Golden Glider while she smiled evilly and a bunch of ribbon-like tendrils stretched from her astral body. She lashed them all at Argent, who narrowly dodged most of them before being hit by the last and knocked down. The Titans North kept fighting the five villains while Mad Mod watched them on five different monitors with an amused smile.
He watched as he sat in a chair and said, "Jolly good. Teach these blokes who they're messing with."
Kole kept fighting New Wave when she jumped over her and crystalized before body-slamming her, making the watery villain splatter. She reformed behind Kole while she turned normal and got up, then New Wave turned her arm into a whip and lashed it at Kole.
She crystalized and New Wave's hand splattered, then Kole smiled and said, "I sink like a rock but you can't drown me here."
New Wave smiled deviously as she said, "Sorry to rain on your parade."
She then changed from water to a cloud of mist and flew over Kole, who was shocked as she said, "You can do that?!"
The human-shaped cloud smiled evilly as she said, "I can do lots of things."
She then made drops of rain fall on top of Kole, and one drop hit her as she cried in pain and held her hand. She realized it was acid rain and crystalized so that it couldn't hurt her, but then New Wave flew down and became a sphere of mist that surrounded Kole. Kole turned normal and waved her hands around as she couldn't see and tried to get rid of the mist, then New Wave moved behind her and changed to water again and became a small tidal wave. She knocked Kole over and moved some water into her mouth as she washed her across the floor, Kole coughed as she got up. New Wave took her human shape as water and then froze herself and became a living ice statue with blades for hands. She tried to stab Kole but she saw her and crystalized just before she could do it, and her ice blade hands shattered. New Wave was vexed as she looked down at her hands while Kole looked behind her and saw Red Star fighting Ignition. They were both on the ground and Ignition was preparing to shoot fire from his tailpipes at Red Star, so Kole quickly kicked New Wave in the chest and made the ice girl stumble back. She stumbled in front of Ignition just as he shot the fire and he melted her as she cried in pain. She turned into water before turning human as she glared at him, then Kole ran and jumped at New Wave and kicked her, knocking her out. Ignition was startled by this as he stared at the two girls, and while he was distracted Red Star flew at him with great speed and punched him rapidly before sending him crashing into a wall, defeating him.
Red Star smiled at Kole as he commended, "Good thinking Kole."
She smiled at him before pointing her thumb behind her while she said, "Thanks, now let's help the others."
Ridge swung his tail at Gnarrk, but he grabbed it in his hands and stopped it, but then Ridge swung his tail with Gnarrk hanging on. He whirled Gnarrk around before Gnarrk lost his grip and was sent flying as he crashed into a barbell bench. He got up and saw the barbell while Ridge charged toward him, so Gnarrk took the barbell and grunted in fury and exertion before throwing it at Ridge. The barbell hit him in the face and made him stumble to the floor, but he got back up and grunted in rage before he tackled Gnarrk. He had him pinned down and prepared to smash him but Gnarrk swiftly rolled to the side then got on Ridge's back and kicked him to the ground. Ridge fell down and got back up and glared at Gnarrk but stopped when he saw Red Star flying at him before punching him in the face.
He sent Ridge crashing into the bleachers as he lost consciousness, then Gnarrk smiled and said, "Gnarrk."
Red Star smiled and said, "You're welcome."
Meanwhile Jericho kept fighting Mr. Combustible as he dodged more bombs that were thrown at him before Kole came to help him. She smiled sweetly at him as she pointed at her own eyes, and he was surprised as he looked at her with a questionary expression. She nodded and then he stared her in the eyes and possessed her, then he crystalized when Mr. Combustible threw more bombs at him. They exploded but did not damage him and he turned human as he smiled and looked down at Kole's body.
He examined her body with admiration and respect as he spoke with her voice and said, "Now this is an improvement. Thanks for the lift Kole."
He looked at Mr. Combustible, who chuckled and said, "You've possessed your girlfriend. How amusing."
He threw more bombs at Jericho, but he crystalized again and they did not harm him when they blew up, prompting Mr. Combustible to walk to him.
He spoke arrogantly as he said, "You may have her powers but you have her weaknesses too. You can't move while in crystal form, so you can't attack without turning normal."
Suddenly Jericho left Kole's body and kicked Mr. Combustible in his lightbulb head, cracking it and knocking his hat off.
Mr. Combustible fell to the ground as he was knocked out, then Jericho smiled at Kole as she said, "I told you that move would come in handy."
He smiled at her and gave her a thumbs-up before they looked to see Argent still flying in the air as she fought Golden Glider's astral form. Jericho looked and noticed Golden Glider's body still vulnerable and smiled as he got an idea and hurried over to it. He put his hands on Golden Glider's face and opened her eyes as he stared into them and then possessed her body before standing up.
Gnarrk, Red Star, and Kole stared at him as Gnarrk asked, "Gnarrk?"
Jericho smiled as he spoke with Golden Glider's voice and said, "Yep. It's even easier to possess someone when they're not home."
They all saw Argent crash on a bleacher when Golden Glider's astral form floated in front of her, then Argent created a huge soccer ball out of her red energy and kicked it at her. The ball of red energy harmlessly passed through her, then she smiled evilly before turning invisible. Argent nervously glanced around before she jerked back and forth as she was repeatedly hit by the invisible Golden Glider. She was knocked to the floor when Golden Glider turned visible and ensnared her with her shiny ribbon-like tendrils.
She smiled sadistically as she said, "Time to make you a ghost!"
Jericho suddenly ran over and used Golden Glider's voice as he raised her hand and yelled, "Don't give up Argent!"
Hearing her own voice, Golden Glider turned and stared at him in her body in shock as she shouted, "What the?!"
Argent was surprised as she said, "Jericho? Is that you?"
He smiled proudly as he looked down at himself and jokingly said, "Of course. I needed a ride and since the keys were still in, I'd take this one for a spin."
Argent was amused as she smiled and said, "Nice move."
Golden Glider released Argent as she retracted her ribbons and angrily flew to Jericho and said, "That's MY body!"
Jericho smiled tauntingly as he said, "You're not really using it right now."
She furiously demanded, "Get out of there now!"
He glared at Golden Glider as he said, "Make me!"
She then clinched her fists and said, "Okay I will!"
She then flew back into her own body and then Jericho was expelled from her body as he stared up at her as she glared daggers at him.
She angrily held her hands out as she prepared to attack him while shouted, "Blondie! Nobody steals my body!"
Before she could do anything she was grabbed by a giant red hand of Argent's hard light energy and squeezed tightly.
Jericho smiled at Argent as she turned and smiled back at him as she gratefully said, "Thanks for the help Jericho."
He nodded back at her and then Argent slammed Golden Glider to the ground, knocking her out as she groaned.
The others joined her as Red Star smiled proudly at all of them as he said, "Excellent teamwork everyone."
They all looked at Mad Mod who was annoyed before smiling arrogantly as he said, "Well, looks like I might've hired the wrong help. Oh well, there's still so much to do."
He then took off and ran through a door, prompting Gnarrk to ask, "Gnarrk?"
Red Star showed a serious expression as he said, "He's probably trying to lead us through more boobytraps, but we can't just stay here."
They all hurried after Mad Mod and ended up in a cafeteria where they were attacked by seemingly living food monsters. They battled the monstrous food and destroyed them all before chasing Mad Mod through his twisted school while music played in the background. They chased Mad Mod through several different rooms and faced all kinds of robots, weapons, and boobytraps, as well as illusions Mad Mod created. They entered a dance room where three holograms of Mad Mod were dancing; Jericho, Kole, and Gnarrk attacked them all and made them disappear. The real Mad Mod escaped out of the room and they all immediately chased him and hurried down a hallway. They were blown back by a powerful gust of wind and then were caught in some kind of storm cloud that zapped Gnarrk with lightning. They escaped and then found Mad Mod with a bunch of tanks behind him as they fired at the Titans North, but they destroyed them. They ran past some paintings of Mad Mod, which moved and started throwing pies and other gags at them. They ended up climbing up a staircase to try and catch Mad Mod while he stared down at them, he held out a mood ring on his finger and fired a blast of energy at them. The blast knocked them all down and they fell through a trapdoor and ended up in what appeared to be a bathroom. Water came out of all the toilets and the sink and flooded the room; Argent created a rowboat of her red energy that carried them. Kole held her arms straight up over her head and Gnarrk used her as an ore and paddled them out of the bathroom. Next they chased Mad Mod through another hallway where locker doors opened up and arms came out and tried to grab them. They had him cornered against a wall but he used his shoes to spring himself up into a trapdoor and they followed him. They chased him up a giant staircase but then they came to what looked to be a giant playground, though they were still indoors.
The Titans North were baffled as Argent asked, "What's this?"
Mad Mod had a twisted smile as he said, "Recess my duckies. Everyone needs a break or you'll work yourselves to death. And I have the perfect playmate for you lot."
Something rose out of what looked like a giant sandbox and the Titans North gasped in shock as Groundswell rose up in front of them.
Red Star glared with a serious expression as he said, "Groundswell!"
Mad Mod smiled insanely as he said, "That's right lad! You see, I brought this chap in just in case those new villains couldn't beat you. I'd say it's a jolly good thing I did too. Now you kids play nicely."
He laughed evilly before escaping, then Groundswell clinched his fists and roared while causing an earthquake that shook the giant playground.
Kole was uncertain as she said, "You think we can beat him?"
Red Star pulled his right fist back as he fiercely said, "We will not know if we do not try!"
He then flew at Groundswell and punched him in the face three times and made him stumble back before Groundwell swung his back hand and knocked him away. He then roared as he turned to the others and stomped toward them as he prepared to crush them with his fists. Argent took flight while Gnarrk grabbed Kole and Jericho and ran away with them, avoiding being crushed as Groundswell smashed the ground where they once stood. He turned to them and growled while Gnarrk put Jericho down and Kole curled up before crystalizing herself, and Gnarrk threw her at Groundswell's face. The crystal girl hit him in the face and made him stumble back as he grunted in pain, then she turned normal and Gnarrk caught her. Groundswell then angry clinched his fists at his sides and made a giant chunk of earth rise up underneath the landbound Titans and launched them in the air. Argent flew and held her hands out as she grabbed Jericho's and carried him while Red Star swooped down and caught Kole and Gnarrk. Argent flew at Groundwell and threw Jericho at his face, and Jericho kicked him in his dirty face, making him cry in pain. He then jumped down the side of Groundwell's body and avoided his hands when he tried to grab him, then he retreated. Red Star put Kole and Gnarrk down as he floated in the air and put his hands together when he fired out one ray of his red nuclear energy. He blasted a hole in Groundwell's stomach and Kole happily cheered with Gnarrk, then Groundwell absorbed earth from beneath him and filled the hole.
Kole became nervous as she said, "Uh oh."
Groundwell roared in fury as he put his hands in front of him before throwing them out to his sides, and his powers opened a huge fissure. Kole and Gnarrk separated to avoid falling in, then Groundwell spewed vast amounts of dirt out of his mouth.
He buried Gnarrk, but he dug himself out and looked at Red Star as he yelled, "Gnarrk!"
Red Star agreed, "Good idea Gnarrk!"
He then took Gnarrk's hand in his and flew at Groundwell before throwing Gnarrk at him, and Gnarrk slammed both his fists into Groundwell's face. He hurt him a bit as he made him stumble backwards, but then Groundwell grabbed him in his hand and threw him away. Argent caught him with a giant hand of her red energy and set him down on the ground before she flew in front of Groundwell. She created a giant pair of pliers with her red energy and clamped them down on Groundwell's midsection and right arm. She had him partially restrained as he roared and slammed his free hand on the giant red pliers, but could not smash them. Jericho then used his speed and agility to climb up Groundwell's body and then punched and kicked him in the face. He fell down and landed on his feet while Gnarrk held Kole's foot in his hand and launched her into the air. She held her arms and legs straight out like an X and crystalized just as Red Star flew body and grabbed her leg. He threw her like a giant shuriken at Groundwell; she spun vertically through the air and cut off his free arm before hitting the ground and turning to normal. He roared in pain and fury as his arm crumbled on the ground, but then he fell apart to escape the grip of Argent's pliers. He then reformed and threw chunks of earth at the Titans North as they scattered to avoid them, then he roared and held his arms out as he created a dust storm around them. Mad Mod was watching the whole battle on a monitor in his room as he enjoyed the show with an evil grin on his face.
He kept smiling as he arrogantly said, "Attaboy Groundwell! Teach these yanks some respect for their teachers!"
Gnarrk and Jericho coughed as they struggled to breathe before Kole got in front of them with her arms out at her sides. She crystalized herself to shield them as they leaned over behind her and used her like a small diamond windshield. Argent floated in the air and shielded her face as she coughed a bit before swinging her hand as she created a giant boot out of her red energy and made it kick Groundwell. She knocked him over, making the dust storm stop, but he got back on his feet and roared as he launched a sharp crystal from his wrist at Argent. She dodged it and it impaled a wall behind her and then he sprouted more crystals in his arms and shoulders and launched them in different directions.
The Titans North managed to avoid them and then Red Star looked at Argent and shouted, "Argent! Atomic pile driver!"
She smiled as she held her hand out and created a huge battering ram out of her red energy, and Red Star grabbed it and flew with it. He swung the giant battering ram at Groundwell and sent him crashing into the wall behind him, but Groundwell climbed out and moved his hand. He made a huge chunk of earth rise out of the ground and threw it at Red Star, knocking him down, then he ran to him and prepared to crush him. Red Star immediately released a shockwave of his red radiation that blasted Groundwell back, then he flew to attack him again. Groundwell punched Red Star and sent him crashing toward Jericho, Kole, and Gnarrk as they helped him up.
He glared at Groundswell before turning to Kole as he yelled, "Kole! Jackhammer!"
Kole obeyed as she jumped in the air with her arms straight out to her sides and her toes pointing down before she crystalized. Red Star flew and grabbed her by her arms before flying at Groundswell, and he rapidly jabbed Kole against his face like a jackhammer. They both made Groundswell stumble backwards while breaking apart the earth in his face, but he punched Red Star and sent them both crashing by Jericho and Gnarrk. Kole turned normal while she and the boys tended to Red Star, who groaned in pain as he felt dizzy, then they looked at the monster made of earth. Groundwell stomped over to them and prepared to crush them when Argent flew in front of him to stop him.
She glared at Groundwell as she bravely stated, "Maybe it's time you picked on somebody your own size!"
She held her hands out and created a giant sumo wrestler out of her red energy; it was just as big as Groundwell and Argent was controlling him from the inside. She controlled the giant sumo wrestler as she moved inside it, and everything she did it did as well as he stomped his foot.
Red Star had come to as he and the others looked up in awe at Argent's creation as Gnarrk said, "Gnarrk."
Red Star kept staring at the giant red sumo in awe as he agreed, "Indeed Gnarrk."
Groundwell roared as he punched the giant glowing red sumo, but it grabbed his fist and held him in place before punching him in the face. Groundwell stumbled back and the giant red sumo stomped toward him and punched him in the face twice. Groundwell angrily punched the sumo and knocked him back, but he barely budged before stomping on Groundwell's foot. He roared in pain before being punched and in the face and being knocked over again, but he got back up and kept fighting.
The rest of the Titans North watched the battle as Gnarrk happily cheered, "Gnarrk!"
Kole smiled in excitement and cupped her mouth as she happily shouted, "Yeah! Get him Argent! Kick his butt!"
Argent kept controlling her giant sumo wrestler from inside as she made him tackle Groundwell and body slam him. Groundwell was pounded into the ground before he kicked the glowing red sumo off of him, then he got back on his feet. He started slamming his fists against Argent's sumo and forced it backwards while the others watched with nervous expressions. Groundwell roared in fury as he ran at the sumo with his arms out but the sumo grabbed his hands and held them in place. They both struggled to overpower each other as they remained strong as Groundwell grunted while staring the giant sumo in the face.
Inside her giant sumo wrestler, Argent had a fierce expression as she said, "The bigger they are the harder they fall!"
She then made her giant sumo lift Groundwell over his head and then slammed him down into the ground, forming a huge crater. Groundwell groaned in pain as he desperately tried to get up but finally lost consciousness as his eyes shut and he lied down.
Kole was amazed as she said, "Whoa!"
The giant sumo vanished and Argent gently floated down onto the ground as she looked into the crater while her friends joined her.
Red Star smiled proudly as he commended, "Excellent work Argent!"
Kole smiled excitedly as she cheered, "Yeah that was amazing! You really showed that dirty monster who's boss!"
Jericho gave her a thumbs-up while Gnarrk happily said, "Gnarrk!"
Argent showed a flattered smile as she put her hands on her hips and humbly said, "Thanks guys, but it was nothing. I love knocking bad guys down to size."
Red Star then narrowed his eyes as he seriously said, "Well it's not over yet! We still need to find Mad Mod and finish this!"
They all nodded seriously as Kole and Argent simultaneously said, "Right!"
They immediately took off running and went out the next door as they started making their way through Mad Mod's facility again. Mad Mod saw the ending of the battle from the screen in his room with a vexed expression as he held his cane.
He then started angrily pacing the floor before smiling deviously while he said to himself, "These Titans North are being very disruptive! They're a lot more annoying and misbehaving than I thought! No matter, these brat kids still aren't smart enough to pass my test, especially that caveman bloke. It's time for them to learn their place."
Commercial break
The Titans North were making their way through Mad Mod's twisted school full of boobytraps as they ran through a classroom. They were being chased by a bunch of Mad Mod's robot British soldiers when Red Star turned around and fired a big blast of his red nuclear energy at them. He destroyed some of them but the rest of them kept coming, prompting Argent to raise her hands over her head and use her power. She created a big bomb out of her red energy and threw it at the robots before turning around and flying with her team. The bomb went flying toward the robots and would soon explode while the Titans saw a door straight ahead. The Titans North then ran through the door and slammed it behind them as it shook with smoke coming out as all the robots blew up in the other room.
Gnarrk sighed in relief and said, "Gnarrk."
Kole agreed and said, "That WAS close."
Argent then curiously looked around and said, "Hey, where are we now?"
They seemed to be in a hallway with a few doors and paintings of Mad Mod on the walls but so far they saw nothing dangerous.
They started walking as they searched and Red Star said, "Where is Mad Mod? We need that cane."
Jericho snapped his fingers to get the others' attention and then pointed at one door that read "Principal's Office".
Kole smiled confidently as she said, "The Principal's Office! He's definitely in there!"
Argent narrowed her eyes as she said, "Then it's time for a chat."
They approached the door as Red Star narrowed his eyes and said, "Careful everyone. There's no telling what we'll find in there."
He led the way as he opened the door and they walked into what looked like a regular principal's office with Mad Mod sitting at his desk.
He looked at them with a twisted smile as he said, "Hello my duckies. I have to admit I'm impressed. I didn't think you lot would make it this far."
They all glared at him as Kole said, "It's over Mad Mod!"
Gnarrk glared at him as he fiercely said, "Gnarrk!"
Mad Mod scowled at Gnarrk as he condescended, "Son, you really need to pay more attention in school. All you can say is one simple word!"
Kole glared at Mad Mod as she pointed at him and said, "He said 'Hand over the cane! We've beaten everything you threw at us!'"
Mad Mod folded his arms as he doubtfully said, "Really? 'Gnarrk' meant all that."
Argent scowled at Mad Mod with her hand on her hip as she said, "She paraphrased him a bit but that's basically what he said. And he's right!"
Red Star agreed as he slammed his fists on Mad Mod's desk and said, "Da! We have passed your test, now surrender yourself and release us!"
Mad Mod stood up and held his cane before slamming the bottom on the floor while he smiled sickly and said, "Sorry my duckies, but you lot haven't passed anything. For one you haven't learned a single thing. But don't worry there's still one lesson left."
The walls and ceiling shifted around them to reveal a giant chamber with a huge hypno-screen for a wall behind him. Gnarrk was already hypnotized as he started drooling while a platform rose out of the ground and hovered in the air with Mad Mod standing on it. A bunch of tanks drove in and a bunch of different robots and machines also entered, some of them were Mad Mod's robot British soldiers while others were robotic statues of him. Turrets also rose up out of the floor as well as hard light holographic monsters and stuff that roared viciously.
The Titans North looked up at Mad Mod as he stood on his platform and looked down at them and insanely said, "If you lot don't pass this exam, I'm afraid I'll have to hold you all back a year and repeat everything!"
He laughed maniacally while Gnarrk fell to his knees in his hypnotized state, prompting Kole to say, "Um, Jericho?"
Jericho prepared to possess Gnarrk but he was grabbed by a flying statue of Mad Mod with robot claws and carried away.
Mad Mod smiled down at them as he gloated, "I'm afraid your big dumb friend won't be waking up anytime soon."
Red Star then clinched his fist as he fiercely shouted, "Titans go!"
Argent flew to help Jericho while Red Star flew toward Mad Mod, only to be blasted by his tanks and knocked to the ground. He crashed down and got up only to be surrounded by some of Mad Mod's robot British soldiers, but his fists glowed red as he started smashing them. Kole stayed with the hypnotized Gnarrk as the turrets aimed at them and fired powerful lasers, but Kole stood in front of Gnarrk and crystalized. She absorbed all the lasers fired at her and then shot them back out through her crystal body and destroyed the turrets. She turned normal and smiled proudly, but then a statue of Mad Mod rolled toward her on wheels and grabbed her with pincer arms. It carried her away from Gnarrk, prompting her to crystalize and make it fall down and crash, then she turned normal and ran back toward Gnarrk. She stopped when more of his high-tech statues got in her way and activated some dangerous melee weapons.
Mad Mod watched everything as he smiled tauntingly and said, "Now, now, don't interrupt the lesson my dear."
Kole glanced up at him before glaring at his machines, then she stood in a fighting stance before bravely running at them. Meanwhile the statue that took Jericho was still carrying him through the air until Argent threw a dart of her red hard light energy and destroyed it. Jericho fell and landed on his feet as he smiled gratefully at her before some of Mad Mod's statues came at him. He kicked one and destroyed it, then he grabbed one's pincer arms and threw it at another, then he punched one and knocked it over. A flying bust of Mad Mod came toward Jericho while shooting lasers from its eyes; Jericho dodged it before jumping and doing a roundhouse kick that knocked it to the ground. More statues came at him and Argent prepared to help him when she was almost hit by one of the tanks shooting at her. She flew to a row of tanks and created a giant rolling pin that flattened them all, then she spotted some of the hard light monsters.
They looked like monstrous crumpets, which gave Argent an idea as she smiled and said, "Time for just desserts."
She created a giant cat out of her red energy and it seemingly ate the holographic monsters, making them disappear. Her giant cat then vanished and she flew off while Red Star blasted a few robot British soldiers with his nuclear energy. He was shot and knocked down by one and then surrounded again, but he got up and yelled in fury as he slammed both his fists down on the ground. He created a shockwave that sent them all flying and crashing into things, then he flew off to help the others. Kole kicked one of the statues over before punching one in the face, then did a jump kick on one and performed a back knuckle to another. One of Mad Mod's robotic statues came behind her with a taser-like weapon but Jericho came and kicked it away from her.
She smiled as she turned to him and said, "Thanks Jericho."
Jericho smiled before urgently pointing his finger as they saw a statue of Mad Mod coming toward them with buzzsaws.
Kole looked at Jericho and said, "Throw me!"
He nodded as he ran past her before stopping and she jumped at him, prompting him to catch her in his arms and throw her at the robotic statue. She had her arms out as she crystalized and crashed into the robot, destroying it, then she turned normal and ran to Gnarrk with Jericho.
She looked at Jericho as she urgently said, "Hurry!"
Jericho stared into Gnarrk's eyes and possessed him, and in Gnarrk's body he said, "I hope he doesn't get hypnotized again, this is getting annoying."
He left Gnarrk's body and he expressed annoyance as he said, "Gnarrk."
They then saw some statues of Mad Mod coming at them with mechanical spider-like legs, so Kole crystalized and Gnarrk grabbed her by her legs and ran at them. He swung her like a bat and smashed each robotic statue of Mad Mod before stopping and putting her down as she turned normal.
Jericho joined them and then Red Star and Argent flew down and landed beside them as Red Star said, "We must work together!"
Mad Mod smiled arrogantly as he said, "Enough of that! You lot are in my school and you'll follow my rules or be punished!"
They were surrounded by dozens of Mad Mod's robot British soldiers aiming their weapons at them while some flying busts of Mad Mod aimed lasers down at them.
Kole looked at Red Star as she hastily yelled, "Red Star! Disco ball!"
She curled up into a cannonball before crystalizing, then Red Star through her straight up in the air while Argent created a dome of her energy over herself, Jericho, and Gnarrk. While Kole was in the air Red Star fired a ray of his red nuclear energy at her, and she harmlessly absorbed it and refracted it through her crystal body. Smaller beams of Red Star's atomic energy were shot in every direction through Kole's body and destroyed all the robots around them. She fell and Red Star caught her before she turned normal and Argent dropped the force-field protecting her and the other two.
Mad Mod looked down as he angrily said, "Hey! You lot are making a mockery of my school!"
He then banged his cane against the platform and activated more robots and weapons, along with other strange things.
Gnarrk was growing tired as he said, "Gnarrk!"
Argent showed frustration as she scowled and said, "I'm with you Gnarrk! This guy's getting on my nerves too."
Red Star seriously looked at his team before glaring up at Mad Mod as he said, "Then we shall do the same to him! Mad Mod wants to test us? Let's not disappoint him!"
He then fired two blasts that destroyed two robotic British soldiers, then Argent smiled slyly and said, "I'll show him a little trick I learned in music class."
She created a giant trumpet out of her red energy and made it emit a sonic blast that destroyed several robot British soldiers, and some tanks.
Mad Mod was impressed as he saw this and showed half a smile as he said, "Looks like I have been teaching you something after all."
Argent looked up at him as she turned her trumpet and blew a sonic blast at him, but he hastily held his cane out and created a force-field around himself and his platform. Argent was annoyed as she made her giant trumpet disappear and then Mad Mod dropped his force-field and fired a laser from the bottom of his cane. Argent dodged it and glared at him as he smiled smugly at her, then the others joined her as Kole with brave expressions.
Kole then smiled at Argent as she clinched her fist and enthusiastically said, "Red Star's right! Let's teach Mad Mod a lesson!"
Argent showed a similar smile as she agreed, "Sounds like a plan to me."
She and Red Star took flight while Kole, Gnarrk, and Jericho charged forward together, and Mad Mod vexedly tapped his cane, causing parts of the room to shift. Kole, Gnarrk, and Jericho ran up a ramp and ran across a long platform while they fought a bunch of Mad Mod's mechanical statues. Gnarrk smashed one with his fist while Jericho kicked one off the platform, and Kole grabbed one and threw it away. She then crystalized and Gnarrk grabbed her leg in his hand and swung her like a club and destroyed two more statues. Jerich took Gnarrk's hand in his as Gnarrk whirled him around at three statues, and Jericho kicked all three of them in the face and them. Kole turned normal as ran in front of Gnarrk and Jericho and then crystalized when a statue on wheels came zooming toward them. It crashed into her and blew up and then she changed back and ducked when Jericho jumped over her and kicked one statue down. Gnarrk then grabbed Kole's foot and threw her into the air and then she crystalized and fell on top of two statues, smashing them.
Mad Mod watched with a vexed expression as he commented, "Young upstart troublemakers! You'll learn your lessons the hard way!"
A couple of Mad Mod's flying busts flew at Argent when she created a giant book that opened up beneath them, then it slammed shut and destroyed them. She looked down and saw a row of tanks aiming at her but she swiped her hand through the air as she sent a train made of her red energy driving by. It rammed all of the tanks and destroyed them before it disappeared, then she looked up and saw missile launchers emerging from the ceiling. Red Star flew in front of Argent and through his hands out as he rapidly fired blasts of his radiation that blew them all up. They both looked down and saw a bunch of Mad Mod's robot British soldiers marching on the floor as they came at them. Argent smiled as she created gauntlets of her red energy over Red Star's hands with spikes on the fingers. He smiled at her before flying at the robots as he smashed them all with the gauntlets Argent had created for him. When he was done the gloves vanished and Red Star and Argent flew off to fight more of Mad Mod's machines with the others.
Mad Mod was growing impatient as he said, "Will you lot just give up already!"
Some British warplanes of Mad Mod's came flying and shooting at Argent but she dodged them all before creating a giant bird of her red energy around herself. She controlled it as she destroyed some planes with her wings and pecked one plane with her beak, destroying it. Red Star was being chased by Mad Mod's flying busts when he shot two rays of his radiation from his hands. He fired them behind him as he kept flying and destroyed all the busts pursuing him, then he flew down toward Gnarrk, Kole, and Jericho. He flew down and rammed two robot British soldiers, knocking them away from his friends while one remained. Gnarrk held Kole up as she curved her limbs around and crystalized, while he used her as a shield to protect him while the robot soldier rapidly shot at him. While it was busy shooting at them, Jericho ran around behind the robot soldier and climbed up its leg and opened a panel on its back. He fiddled with some wires and reprogrammed it so that it stopped shooting at Kole and Gnarrk, then it started shooting at some of Mad Mod's mechanical statues.
Gnarrk smiled at Jericho and happily said, "Gnarrk!"
Kole turned normal and smiled lovingly at Jericho as she said, "Yeah! Great idea Jericho! That was awesome!"
He showed a flattered smile when the robot soldier he reprogrammed was destroyed and then some flying paintings of Mad Mod came. They all threw stuff at them, prompting Gnarrk to angrily run at them and destroy them with his bare hands.
Argent flew down and smiled slyly as she said, "Hey Kole, Gnarrk, how about we give them a royal joust?"
They both smiled as they jumped while Argent created a horse out of her red energy, Gnarrk jumped on its back, and Kole held her hands out over her head and crystalized. Gnarrk used Kole as a lance as Argent's red horse charged at some mechanical statues and destroyed them. Jericho noticed a laser turret rise out of the floor and aim at them while some mechanical statues guarded it.
Red Star flew down by him with his fists glowing red as he loyally said, "Go! Help the others. I will cover you!"
Jericho nodded as he ran toward the laser turret while some of the statues tried to attack him with different weapons. Red Star fired small blasts of his radiation that destroyed each one while Jericho kept running and climbed up some small platforms before destroying the turret, just when it was about to fire. He smiled as he gave a thumbs-up to Red Star, who did the same to him before they both hurried to join their friends. Argent made a lasso of her red energy that ensnared Kole before she curled up and crystalized, and Argent swung her around like a diamond-hard wrecking ball. Together they both smashed some more of Mad Mod's robot British soldiers while Gnarrk jumped and climbed on one and ripped its head off.
Red Star blasted rays at some more robots while flying past Gnarrk as he promptly yelled, "Gnarrk look alive!"
Gnarrk turned his head and saw three statues with spider-like legs coming at him, he jumped down from the robot he destroyed and smashed one with his fists. He then ripped off one of its legs and held it as he swung it like a blade and chopped up the other two statues. He saw another bust rolling toward him as the mouth opened and prepared to fire a laser at him, but he threw the leg he was holding.
It hit the gun in the mouth, causing it to explode, then Gnarrk clinched his fists and epically yelled, "GNARRK!"
Argent smiled as she flew over to him pointed her finger and said, "Nice job. Now how about I help you beat these guys?"
He looked and saw a few robot British soldiers marching toward them and he knew he could not take them down on his own, so he nodded in agreement. Argent smiled as she held her hands out toward him and created a huge baseball bat in his hands, bigger than his whole body. With his strength and her control he could easily hold and swing it as he ran and used it to smash the British soldier robots to pieces. Meanwhile Red Star threw a couple of blasts of his radiation and destroyed some turrets coming out of the floor. One turret remained but Jericho jumped behind it and rearranged the wires, causing it to malfunction and explode after he got clear. Red Star used his strength to lift a tank up and threw it at a bunch of Mad Mod's mechanical statues, smashing them all. One of his British soldier robots swung its fist at Red Star and knocked him to the floor and prepared to smash him. Kole immediately ran in front of Red Star and crystalized when the robot swung its fists down, and when it hit Kole its fists were destroyed. It had no hands and then Red Star grabbed the damaged robot British soldier and threw it at another one, blowing up both of them. Jericho took a metal rod from one of Mad Mod's destroyed machines and used it as a bo staff and destroyed some of his mechanical statues. One statue used a buzzsaw to chop it in half, but Jericho twirled both pieces in each hand and swung them both to destroy the statue. He then destroyed several more when two laser turrets rose out of the floor beside him and prepared to shoot him. He threw both metal rods into the nozzles before they could shoot, causing both to explode at the same time.
It looked like the Titans North were going to win when Mad Mod finally lost patience and said, "Alright that's it! Detention for the lot of you!"
He banged his cane on his platform and then some different machines and weapons came out of the floor. A machine launched a net that captured Argent and reeled her in before a high-tech chair came and grabbed her arms and legs. She was placed back in the chair in a seated position as she struggled but could not escape as her powers were neutralized.
Red Star saw this and feared for her as he shouted, "Argent!"
He flew to help her but was blasted by a tank and knocked down, then a robot British soldier came and grabbed him. The robot placed Red Star in a high-tech chair that neutralized his powers just like at the beginning and he tried in vain to break free. Jericho was shocked when suddenly he was stunned by a laser and placed in a chair with his arms and legs restrained.
Kole saw this and held her hand out in distress as she cried, "Jericho!"
Suddenly she was blasted from behind as she cried in pain and was placed in a high-tech chair that held her just like before.
Gnarrk noticed everyone captured as he cried, "Gnarrk!"
Suddenly a hypno-screen rose up behind Gnarrk and the others all showed fear as Kole cried, "Gnarrk don't turn around!"
Gnarrk did not listen as he turned away from them and stared at the screen as he said, "Gnarrk…"
Argent sighed in exasperation and complained, "Figures."
Mad Mod's platform lowered as he smiled arrogantly and gloated, "Well here we are again my duckies. Class is over and it looks like we're going to be spending a lot more time together."
He stood between Gnarrk and the others as Gnarrk kept facing the hypno-screen as Red Star defied, "This is NOT over!"
Mad Mod smiled arrogantly as he stared Red Star in the face before walking behind Gnarrk and pointing his cane at him while looking at the others as he said, "You lot need to know when to quit! Listen to me and you'll be like your friend here. He may be less evolved but he listens and behaves unlike the rest of you. Now I have a lot to teach this neanderthal but soon he'll be educated in my image, and so will the rest of…"
He stopped when suddenly his cane was taken out of his hand and he turned around and went "huh" then his eyes bugged in shock and fear as he gasped in horror.
Gnarrk was holding Mad Mod's cane as he glared down at him, clearly not hypnotized as he said, "Gnarrk."
Gnarrk swung the top of the cane at Mad Mod and knocked him to the floor in front of the others as he sat up and stared at Gnarrk in fear.
The rest of the Titans North gasped in delight as they stared at Gnarrk while Kole happily said, "He got the cane!"
Mad Mod was shaking in fear as he got on his knees and smiled nervously while he lied and said, "Now lad, when I said 'less evolved' I only meant…"
He did not finish as Gnarrk held his cane in both hands and then broke it in two, causing all of Mad Mod's machines to shut down. The hypno-screens turned off, all the robots deactivated and fell over, all illusions were exposed and made real as the walls shifted to show machines behind everything. The chairs containing the others also shut down as they all escaped their restraints and stood up as they happily cheered. A bright light shined from Mad Mod as he reverted to his old age and got on his knees as he looked at his hands in despair.
Argent put her left hand on her hip as she looked down at him and said, "Looks like someone doesn't age well."
He turned to look at the others as Red Star picked him up by his shirt and glared at him as he nervously said, "Hello governor."
Red Star kept glaring at him as he fiercely said, "Class dismissed."
Kole and Jericho happily patted Gnarrk on the back as Kole commended, "Way to go Gnarrk! You really saved the day!"
He showed a flattered smile as he rubbed the back of his head and said, "Gnarrk."
Mad Mod turned and looked at Gnarrk with a baffled expression as he said, "But I don't understand! How did you snap yourself out of my hypnotic grip?!"
Gnarrk smiled proudly as he said, "Gnarrk."
Kole pointed at Gnarrk with interest as she curiously said, "You didn't really look at the screen? You just pretended to be hypnotized?"
He smiled as he nodded and Red Star proudly said, "Brilliant thinking Gnarrk."
Argent smiled commandingly at him before smugly grinning at Mad Mod as she said, "Yeah, way to go. You hear that Mad Mod? You were outsmarted by a caveman."
Kole smiled triumphantly as she looked at Mad Mod and proudly said, "Yeah, there's a lesson for you and bad guys everywhere! Don't mess with Titans!"
Mad Mod scowled in defeat while he bitterly said, "Alright, you did it. You Northern Titans passed my little test."
Red Star kept holding Red Star as he coldly said, "And now we're taking you to jail."
An exclamation point appeared over Gnarrk's head as he realized something and yelled, "Gnarrk!"
Kole's eyes widened as she looked at Red Star and urgently said, "Hey, Gnarrk's right Red Star! What about Groundwell and those other bad guys we fought earlier?"
Mad Mod smiled sadistically as he said, "I'd say they woke up after those beatings you put them through and went home. I'm afraid their long gone by now."
They all glared at him and then Red Star held him up and stared down at his face as he said, "We will catch them another day, but today we bring you in for all your crimes and make sure you hurt no one else."
Mad Mod glared at Red Star as he bitterly complained, "Spoilsport."
They all walked away and soon found the exit as they went out to find a bright sunny winter day in Canada. They were on the roof of a facility just outside of Aurora City as they could see it from the roof as well as their own tower. They already had Mad Mod tied up and were going to bring him to the police as he pouted while staring into space.
Gnarrk smiled as he happily said, "Gnarrk."
Kole smiled as she happily agreed, "Yeah Gnarrk. It does feel good to be outside again."
Jericho came and put his arm around Kole as he looked at the beautiful sky and she smiled as she leaned against him lovingly.
Argent smiled as she looked at them and admitted, "You never have fun at school, but at least you pick up a thing or two from it."
Kole smiled at her as she held her right palm up and honestly said, "Yeah, but I wish we had a better teacher."
Red Star climbed out and smiled at his friends as he optimistically said, "True my friends, but sometimes we can manage to learn a few things from our enemies. Today we learned to never lose faith in our friends, to be resourceful in dire situations, the value of working together as a team, and to use our enemies' tactics against them."
Argent smiled proudly at Red Star's last statement while Kole smiled up at Gnarrk and Gnarrk smiled down at Jericho with appreciation.
Argent then looked down at Mad Mod as she commented, "A shame that Mad Mod and all the other villains out there will never learn their lessons."
Red Star grabbed Mad Mod and held him over his shoulder as he narrowed his eyes and said, "True, but that won't stop us from trying to teach them. As long as there are those who wish to hurt others we will do our best to teach them what is right, and teach those who will still listen."
The others all smiled happily as Gnarrk happily said, "Gnarrk!"
Red Star then took flight and carried Mad Mod while Argent crated a giant hand of her red energy and carried the others while she flew after him.

Author's note: That's the end of chapter 2. This was a good chance to introduce some new minor villains. I wanted to have the Titans North tested by a villain similar to what Control Freak did for the Titans East and West. Mad Mod seemed like a good choice and this is like his debut episode but with more than a few differences. I thought it would fit to have Gnarrk keep getting hypnotized like Beast Boy did, and instead of making him laugh Jericho can snap him out of it by possessing him. Now I showed how he's smarter than some people think by how he saved the day and outsmarted Mad Mod. This was also a good way to show off some combo moves the Titans North came up with, and some new tricks. I have big plans for Argent.
