Any characters Futo is paired with are aged up to 18 which includes Otome.
The next day after Futo drops Otome off at her place which was surprisingly close to his place and writing down his address for her so she can come over if she wants last night Futo was currently working on bringing in his stuff and placing things in the right place.
"Phew. Need to get some furniture soon." Futo mutters as he takes a small breather. Hachiko barks in agreement. Luckily for Futo he has a good amount of money in his Bank Account left after moving to Futo City and getting some dinner and breakfast, but it won't last. One of the City's main sources of power was solar energy, but his place wouldn't have solar panels for a few days since he had to order some really good ones which cost him a lot of money.
"I need to open up soon." Futo said sighing as he is going to need more money eventually. Suddenly he hears a knock on the door.
"I wonder who that is?" Futo questions as he went over to the door and opens it. Outside was Otome holding a bag.
"Otome? What are you doing here?" Futo asks in surprise but happy to see her again.
"I came here to thank you again for saving me last night." Otome said smiling before blushing.
"I also made some lunch for us to share since you said you just moved to the city yesterday." Otome said nervously as she hopes Futo will like it.
"Thank you Otome I was actually thinking about going out and getting some takeout since I have so much to do still so this helps." Futo said gratefully as he smiles. He then moves out of the way.
"Please come in. Luckily, I have some paper plates and plastic cups we can use." Futo said. Otome comes inside and Hachiko barks in surprise.
"Hachiko this is Otome Sakuragi the girl I saved last night. Otome this is Hachiko." Futo said introducing them to each other. Hachiko barks in greetings and Otome smiles.
"Oh, he is so cute!" She squeals a bit before she kneels in front of Hachiko.
"It's so good to meet you Hachiko." Otome said as she lets Hachiko sniff her hand for a few seconds before he licks it. Futo smiles at that as Hachiko then starts licking her face making her giggle as she pets him.
"Sorry I don't have any tables or chairs yet." Futo said apologetical but Otome waves it off.
"It's fine. We can just eat on the floor." Otome said with a smile.
"Yeah, but I feel bad." Futo said rubbing the back of his head.
"But I can sit with Hachiko." Otome said as Hachiko barks in agreement.
"Let me at least get a blanket to place on the ground." Futo said as he went to get a blanket to place on the ground.
(Later)
"That was really good. You are a really great cook." Futo said with a satisfied tone after eating the food Otome made.
"Thank you." Otome said blushing a bit at his complement.
"I should get back to work on getting things set up here." Futo said with a sigh as he still has things to bring in and unpack.
"I can help you." Otome said cleaning up the food and trash.
"Are you sure about that? You are a guest, and you did bring some food." Futo said feeling a bit guilty about having her help.
"It's fine. You did save me from those thugs last night so doing this is the least I can do." She said with a firm look daring him to disagree with her. Futo pulls his hands up and agrees. He knew not to get on a woman's bad side if he could help it. He just hopes she doesn't use a slipper like his mom does. He really hopes so as he shudders a bit without Otome noticing.
(One Week Later)
Thanks to Otome's help Futo was able to get his office set faster than expected. His office was similar to the Kuremi Detective Agency office from Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth but a lot neater with the sign above the window saying "HARDBOILED" in English lettering colored in purple and the couches are white instead of black. By his desk was Hachiko's dog bed as well as Hachiko's food and water dishes. There was a small kitchen area too with a minifridge, a tea machine, a coffee machine, counters, a small cupboard containing coffee beans and tea leaves and a sink.
Futo was now sitting at his desk with a happy and satisfied smile that his office was finally ready him to start his work as a Hardboiled Detective. Otome was sitting on one of the couches petting a sleeping Hachiko on her lap.
"So, Futo what is the first order of business for you?" Otome asks him.
"Don't know yet. I need to advertise the office and wait for cases to start coming in. I should also start working on a side gig on days where business is slow and there are no cases." Futo said with a small frown.
"Hey, would it be alright if I work here part time?" Otome asks him which surprises him.
"Are you sure about that?" Futo asks her.
"I probably won't be able to do much, but I can help clean the office and serve tea to clients. Plus, this gives me time and more reasons to come here." Otome said.
"That's true. I would need someone to keep an eye on the office and make sure Hachiko has food and water if and when I go out on a case." Futo said with a nod.
"What about your classes?" Futo asks.
'"They don't start up for another week and I can study here while watching the office." Otome points out. Futo nods as she has a good point.
"Not to mention you live close by. Alright you're hired." Futo said with a smile. Otome smiles too.
'Now I can spend more time with Futo.' She thinks with a hidden blush.
