Chapter 1 Preparing to enter Sword Art Online
Sora enters Master Yen Sid's Tower to learn why he has been summoned. "Hello Master Yen Sid what's my mission for today." Sora said. "Well this mission is like one you already went on but the end results didn't end well for you."Master Yen Sid said. "Wait what do you mean the end results didn't end well for me?" Sora asked. "I mean it is time for you to retake the Mark of Mastery." Master Yen Sid said. "Wait retake it seriously!?" Sora asked. "Yes even though you defeated Master Xehanort and the organization there are still a few things you have to learn if you're going to be a true keyblade master. You must learn to master the darkness inside you so your not put in the same danger you were when you and Riku were in the sleeping worlds." Master Yen Sid said. Sora thought hard about it and he knew the master was right, he's been learning to control the darkness with his rage form he's not sure if he can completely control the darkness like Riku does. So thinking about it he makes his decision "Okay Master put me through the test but this time I'll pass with flying colors" Sora said. "Very well then let your examination begin. But this time the world you'll be going to is a world of data." Master Yen Sid said. "A world of data you mean like space paranoids in the computer at Radiant Garden or The Grid during my first Mark of Mastery?" Sora asked. "Yes but this world is one created by the game master known as Akihiko Kayaba" Master Yen Sid said. "Akihiko Kayaba... huh that's a strange name, wait game master!? did he create a video game called Verum Rex?" Sora asked thinking of the video game from when he was in a world called Toy Box. "I'm afraid not it's a different game called Sword Art Online." Master Yen Sid said. "Sword Art Online? how do I get there?" Sora asked. "Usually you'd need to get to the world where Akihiko Kayaba lives to get access to Sword Art Online, but this time he decided to send Ansem the Wise a copy of Sword Art Online for him to check out." Master Yen Sid said. "Ansem the Wise how does he know Akihiko Kayaba?" Sora asked. "That'll be for you to find out when you go to Radiant Garden to enter Sword Art Online if you complete your task and return here safely and I will name you a true master." Master Yen Sid said. "Yes master." Sora said. After that Sora left the tower and was getting ready to leave until he saw two familiar faces.
"Riku!, King Mickey!" Sora exclaimed. "Sora good to see you again" King Mickey said. "Sure is so what did Master Yen Sid want to talk to you about?" Riku asked. "He said he wants me to retake the Mark of Mastery" Sora said. "Well it's about time." Riku said. "Yeah but where are you going to take it?" King Mickey asked. "It's a video game world created by someone named Akihiko Kayaba." Sora said. "Wait Akihiko Kayaba?" King Mickey asked. "You know him?" Sora asked. "Well not personally but Ansem the Wise told me he had a visitor from another world named Akihiko Kayaba who told me he bringing him a copy of Sword Art Online but he never said it was a part of your test." King Mickey said. "Huh well now I know.. so how's Kairi's doing with her training with Master Aqua?"Sora asked. "She's making good progress her magic and physical strength is getting better everyday." Riku answered. "That's good to hear I just hope I'll be able to make it out quickly enough to spend some time with her." Sora said. "Don't worry you'll be able to spend time with your girlfriend really soon." Riku said with a sly face. "SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!" Sora shouted. "Relax buddy I'm just joking but we all know how you feel about her even willing to use the power of waking to bring her back." Riku said. "Yeah and I would do the same for my Queen Minnie" King Mickey said. "But seriously did you tell her you like her more than a friend yet?"Riku asked. "Well uhh... look it's complicated okay! I mean facing Maleficent, Xehanort, Organization XIII, heartless or nobodies no problem but with love there's still lots I don't know." Sora said. "Don't worry you'll tell her some day but you better do it soon before it's too late." Riku said. "You're right I'll tell her." Sora said. "Haha that's the spirit Sora, well come on Riku we gotta report to Master Yen Sid." King Mickey said. "Right we need to report to him on our patrol across worlds." Riku said. "Okay well the next time I see you guys I'll be a keyblade master." Sora said. "That's great! We'll throw you a party at my world when your declared a keyblade master." King Mickey said. "Don't worry I'll make sure to tell Kairi you're retaking the Mark of Mastery." Riku said. "Thanks guys well I'd better get going." Sora said. Then Riku and King Mickey went into Master Yen Sid's Tower and Sora boarded his Gummi ship and flew to Radiant Garden.
Once he was there he got off the Gummi Ship and headed towards the castle. Ansem the Wise and his apprentices Ienzo and Even were waiting for him. "I'm here sir" Sora said. "Ah yes Master Yen Sid has already imformed me on you retaking the Mark of Mastery by going into Sword art online." Ansem the Wise said. "Yeah about that he said the world I'd be going is a world of a video game?" Sora asked. "Yes but it is not an ordinary video game it's an MMORPG video game which requires the Nervegear to enter it." Ienzo said. "What's an MMORPG and a Nervegear? Sora asked. "Well in the world where it was created MMORPG stands for massively multiplayer online role-playing game where it combines a role playing video game and massive multiplayer online game." Ansem the Wise explained. "As for the Nervegear it's a headset that's required for one to interact with the ingame mechanic's" Even said. "I see but if that's the case wouldn't I need to those things to enter Sword art Online?" Sora asked? "Normally yes but we can get you in a different way, you see when Master Yen Sid told us about your Mark of Mastery we called the company developing Sao Argos and got in contact with Akihiko Kayaba." Ienzo said. "The game master?... wait if you needed to get permission from the game master to use his game for my Mark of Mastery did you have to tell him about the other worlds?" Sora asked knowing that the world order needs to be kept for the worlds to be at peace. "Actually Akihiko Kayaba and I are old friends when my heart was clouded by vengeance, I met Kayaba when he was a student under the teaching of professor shigemura in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He wanted to create a world of his own design so after he graduated he went to creating that world and with my experience on creating a world of data I taught him how to do it and after awhile I told him about the other worlds." Ansem explained. Sora was surprised to hear that Ansem the Wise knew Akihiko Kayaba but at least it would make it easier to explain to him and the developers why he was entering Sword Art online. "So the company Argos decided to give us access to the Sao servers and to the world of Sword Art online take a look." Ienzo said. So Ienzo pressed a few keys on the computer and it showed a floating castle. "That's all of Sword Art Online?" Sora asked sounding a little confused when he sees the world he's going to. Ansem chuckles at the comment he made "why don't we show you what's inside the castle." Then Ansem pressed another key on the computer and it showed him a completely different part of the game with numerous towns and villages and lots of players roaming around. "Whoa! that's what it looks like inside?!"Sora asked in excitement. "Actually this is part of floor one of castle there are still 99 more floors in that castle." Ienzo said. "Cool, well what do those floors look like?" Sora asked. "Well that's something we can't show you because it is up to you and all the players in the game to unlock those floors." Even explained. "Well then it looks like I got a lot of work to do." Sora said with determination to complete the game. "Well before you do that there's something we need to do before you enter that world." Ansem said as he was typing up on the computer until it was a blank white screen. "Now Sora summon your keyblade please." Sora did what Ansem said and summoned his keyblade and Ansem pressed another key on the computer and it scanned it until a picture of it was on the computer screen. It showed everything about it its name: kingdom key, it's length 3.5' long, powers and abilities Strength: 100. Unit: 1/ 2/ 3. Ultima: 15. Base: 0. Unit: 1/ 2/ 3. Defense. Critical Rate. Base: 0. Unit: 1/ 2/ 3. Base: 7. Unit: 1/ 2/ 3. Critical Bonus. Abilities. Base: 7. Unit: 1/ 2/ 3. Defender. Damage Control. Second Chance. "What was that about?" Sora asked. "Well Sora in Sword Art Online you won't be able to use any magic in Sword Art Online so we'll need to digitize your keyblades so you can use it in the game." Ienzo explained. Sora sighed knowing that this is gonna take awhile. So Sora switched his keychains to summon more of his keyblades for the computer to scan (the keyblades of kh3 and remind) and like his kingdom key the computer shows his keyblades length, powers and abilities. But after all his keyblades got scanned Sora had a sudden realization in what would happen if he won't be allowed to use magic in sword art online "But wait a minute if I can't use any magic in Sword Art Online then I won't be able to use any of my keyblade transformations or dual wield." Sora said. "Now hold on Sora, you may not be able to use your magic in that world but from what we've learned in that game there's something called sword skills. It's the combat system used in that game but there are also ways to unlock new sword skills under the right circumstances." Even explained. "So when I enter this world my abilities will turn into sword skills, and in order to use my keyblade's powers I'll need to unlock sword skills for that?" Sora asked. "Yes but since this world doesn't let you use magic you'll be limited by what you can do but you might be able to perform moves you couldn't do before." Ansem said. Sora thought about this he would have to relearn how to use his abilities in the virtual world and he can't use any magic in the game. Similar to his first Mark of Mastery Exam where he had to start over from the beginning and travel through the realm of sleep but unfortunately he fell in the organization's trap and almost became Master Xehanort's vessel and because of this he was stripped of most of his powers including the power of waking. But this time it's different Xehanort and Organization XIII has been defeated and the scientists at Radiant Garden will be watching him as he goes through Sword Art Online so he'll be safe. With all this Sora was ready to go "Okay I'm ready." After he said he was ready Ansem the Wise typed on the computer until the picture was back to floor one of Sword Art Online and until the teleporter behind Sora got activated. After that the teleporter shot a bright light at Sora and he disappeared into the light. Then Ansem the Wise and his apprentices looked at the computer and near the teleporter in the Town of Beginnings Sora was right there as the newest player in Sword Art Online.
I don't own Kingdom Hearts or Sword Art Online this is my first fanfic story so I hope you like it they'll be more chapters coming in.
