The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall"
Alright so this is my attempt at a crossover between Naruto and Godhand, which I have noticed that there is very little fiction about. It takes place in the ninja world with a little bit of twist. And...
Am too lazy to say anything right now so just read and enjoy _
It has a lot of character developmemt. so you won't be disappointed.
Chapter 1
In a small apartment two people were currently preparing for their bedtime, the older one apparently the mother had a book in her right hand, she sat down on the edge of the bed while she caress her son's hair with the other. He seems to be no older than 5. It was pass nine so everywhere was as silent as a graveyard.
"So mom what's it gonna be this time" The boy asked grabbing her attention as he craned his neck to get a better look at her beautiful face, her long silky black hair reached down to the middle of her back. she looked him in the eyes revealing emerald green eyes and tan skin with a body that could kill. All in all she looked perfect.
"Oh, I found an extra special one in the library today" She said with that ever present beautiful smile on her face.
"What's it called?" he couldn't help but ask, he had always been a sucker for good stories that's why his mother always make sure to read one to him every night. Her job as a librarian granted her access to the top tier ones too.
"The God hand"
"The God hand?"
"Yeah, it's about the story of a man who became a god"
"wow" He big blue eyes lit up with so much excitement that she couldn't help but giggle, causing him to pout at her.
"What?"
"Nothing" She quickly waved him off.
"Then why are you laughing?"
"I just found your reaction cute that's all"
He glared at her for her words but it only served to add more cuteness to it. She caressed his cheek lovingly, causing him to avert his gaze to hide a big blush on his face.
"You're being mean to me, mom" he mumbled timidly, but she heard him.
"I won't laugh again, I promise"
"*Pout*Alright"
"That's my boy" she ruffled his hair playfully.
"Now on with the story"
"Sigh*Finally". She had to stop herself from laughing at his expression and decided that it would be better if she just read him the story.
"It all started 100 years ago, when demons suddenly appeared out of nowhere. They wreck havoc across the lands, there was no one to stop them. Humanity had been on the brinks of destruction, the five great nations jutsu rendered all but useless, their only source of defense was the tailed beasts, as only a demon can counter a demon. They needed a savior, and they were given one...just not the one that they expected. A man isolated by his peers and born to carry a heavy cross on his shoulders would later go on to weld the hands of God, he would later be called as the "God hand". To better understand this story, it's better to relive it, so I'll take you all back to when it first started, to before the rise of angra, to before the fall of humanity, to before...the rise of the God hand.
"In the days before time, an angel filled with pride fell from the heavens to a life in exile as the Demon King Angra. Filled with spite and hatred, Angra spearheaded an army of demons and specters to overthrow the world of mortal men. However, a man appeared with the power of god sealed in his arms, and used this power to once again send Angra into exile. The people, grateful that Angra's threat has subsided, bestowed upon the man the title of Godhand.
"Legend states: 'Although the man had long since pass, a single clan continues to this day to defend the Godhands, and the power held within. Those who possess this power are capable of becoming either god...or demon."
The borders of Fire country
An orange blur dash through the tree lines under the full moon, running as if his life depended on it. Tears drip down his face, his eyes filled with hopelessness. He had on a tattered orange jumpsuit with black sandals. He navigated the terrains wishing to get out of there as fast as his can.
For as long as I could remember I have always been on the run with no particular destination in mind. Banished as the age of 11 by the very same man I used to call my grandfather. I had been forced to flee the village with only the clothes on my back, running...running...running. No destination...no hope...never to dare look back.
The council had always wanted to get rid of me, now they had finally succeeded. And my fall came not by their hands, but by the old man's hand. There is a saying that says "keep your friends close but your enemies closer" but I guess for me it's keep your enemies close, but your friends closer, I understand that now. I had been a fool to believe in the best of people, to believe that they could change, that they were just grieving and all they needed was time...well F*ck that! I was grieving too, no mother, no father, no F*KING RELATIVES!
I have always been forced to fend for myself, forced to provide shelter, food, clothes basically all the responsibilities of a parent had been forced on me since birth. I had been alone even before I knew it, I needed someone to talk to and the third capitalized on it. A demon that showed it face to me as a messiah during my greatest time of need. Preaching to me about faith and believing in the best of people, I thought he actually cared, but he was only just trying to soften me up so that I could be ripe for the villagers picking. why didn't I see that before. I was always blinded to the truth. Times that should have been spent training and trying to make my life better, were times wasted on trying to get the villagers to acknowledge me. Now look where that's gotten me. My chakra's sealed, the little I have, taken from me, and the few people I could consider family, now forever lost to me.
I can hear their voices taunting me from the back of my mind, laughing, throwing hurtful words at me. I can't help but to remember that one life wrecking experience, as flashes of it appeared before my eyes. with each steps that I take, and with each image that I see. I could feel the dagger of betrayal and hatred being dug deeper into my heart. My good and forgiving nature had finally got me what I had always feared the most...loneliness.
The rain descents down to the earth unforgiving. It's almost like the heaven's are crying for me, for my injustice. If so, then why do they forsake me. I grew up without the love of a father and mother, without any affection, no heirloom or pictures of them. And whenever I ask the bastard of an Hokage, he straight up tell me that they were heroes, some hero they are. Faceless bastards who forsake their own child to the mercies of hairless harpies, clothed in the form of human beings, claiming to be the honorable citizens of konoha*spit*They are nothing but savages, useless and pathetic. It's bad enough when you're not getting what you wanted, especially when you see other people living better than you, it makes you go nuts. It is not easy at all, most especially when you're not born into a wealthy family, you get looked down on, and when you're the villagers walking trash, you get spat on. If only I had the power, I would gladly watch this village burn to the ground while I reign supreme. I'd gladly show them fear, anguish...Pain. I'll make crumble and fall before me, I'll show them what this trash can do.
After much running I finally made it into the land of waves, the streets looked deserted. Everyone must have gone he because of the rain. Some beggers and homeless people littered the streets looking like they could give up the ghost anytime soon, but I couldn't care less. I ran past them in a mad dash, everyone's got their own problems so why should I leave mine and care for another's. I made it to the dock of the lands where a huge ship was docked. From what little I managed to pay attention to in class, the land of waves serves as a shipping dock of sort that connects to all part of the elemental nations, so if I could get onboard of one going to lightning country or water country I'll finally be free of konoha's influence.
He waited patiently under the moonlight, it was almost past twelve and cargos were still being loaded onto the ship. He peaked out from behind the cargo that he hid behind to see a man walking towards the cargo and quickly hid back. He looked both sides for any possible way of escape, but found none causing him to grow fearful until an idea finally struck him. The man picked up the back and groaned at how heavy it felt before moving it on to the ship where he placed it below deck with the other cargos. Naruto peaked out from a tiny hole in the cargo that he hid in to when the sudden feeling of weightlessness left him to find out that he was onboard. He sighed out in relief, finally he was free, no more konoha, no more fire country, now he could finally start afresh. A new beginning...in a new city.
Seven years later
(In a small town somewhere)
sound of soft footsteps*
"Man am poor" A man groaned as he looked at the two copper coin in the open right palm while walking through a somewhat deserted town underneath the blazing hot summer sun. He stopped by a building and gazed at his reflection in it glass window and couldn't help but stare at the slick back blonde haired man that stood in the reflection staring right back at him. His left cheek has a white square patch on it, possibly a bandage, and his eyes appear to be a deep blue with a tan skin and well toned muscles. There are three faint whisker marks on his chest, barely noticeable at first glance. His dressing consist of a tight white shirt and black coat with the left sleeve ripped at the forearm and the right ripped off completely, with shin-length coattails and black pants. He has an orange handkerchief tied around his collar. Gene also wears a silver belt buckle and long black boots and a fingerless glove on his left hand. His build is top-heavy and muscular. He still couldn't believe that it's been 7 years since he had left that hellhole and the elemental nations behind to begin a new life. A new name, a new appearance, and a new beginning. Every morning he will spend his time gazing at his reflection marvelling at how much he had changed, blue eyes stared back at him in the mirror, long gone was the scrubby little kid that couldn't do much for himself and in his place stood a strong and responsible man. He turned his head a little and traced his jawline with his index finger and a pleased look could be seen on his face. He must admit,he did look handsome.
Ever since he left the elemental nations, things had been going well for him. Thanks, he had given up on the ways of the ninja due to not being able to use chakra anymore, he earned his worth in a fighting ring by fighting from town to town. Even though it was not as promising as it looked, it still put food on his table, and sometimes his walk just seemed aimless...no purpose...no goal.
He sighed not too bothered "Well time to move on, I hope they have a decent ring and opponent here for me to fi..*
"HELP!" A voice shouted interrupting him mid sentence. The voice sounded desperate causing warning bells to go off in his head forcing him to race towards the sound of the voice. He might have changed alot since he left the elemental nations but one thing that never changed was his willingness to help those in need. He arrived at the scene to see a lady being bullied by two men and without a second thought sprung to action. He rushed in with a flying kick into one of the men's back causing him to stumble into the other.
"What the?"
"Not me, him!"
"If you're looking for love you're looking in the wrong place, scram sweetheart" without any further prompting she quickly ran away from there. One look at the two of them and he could already tell that they belong to the circus. Or with their lack of fashion sense, they deserved to be locked in the zoo.
The fat muscular one among the two of them stepped forward and Naruto immediately attacked him with a furry of punches but he tanked them all not showing any sign of being hit at all. Naruto take a step back and looked at the man in shock.
"What the hell?"
"Ha" The big man scoffed, take a step forward, before pointing a finger at him.
"What do the five fingers...eh ...say to the face?"
"Huh"
"Smack" faster than he could react, a mean right hook hit him across the face, sending him tumbling to the ground in pain. He wasn't given enough time to recover before he was grabbed in a sleeper hold by the big man.
"Hey let me go!"
The tall man laughed eerily Ashe walk up to him and hold out his right hand with his boomerang shaped blade raised high.
"Hey! Hey! What the hell are you doing? Stop!" Fear gripped naruto's heart on the blade off an demonic feeling gleaning under the sunlight. The man gave him an evil grin which made his hear tighten. He watched as the blade slowly descended on his right arm cutting it off from his main body. His eyes widened in horror as a huge amount of pain invaded his nerve nearing giving him a mental breakdown. He opened his mouth wide but the only thing that came out was an heart wrenching scream as he gaze at his decapitated right arm in this demons hands. He screamed and rolled around on the floor in his own blood hoping to reduce the pain coursing through his body.
"Just a useless human arm" The tall man said as he hold up the arm with a look of disgust.
"Useless" His partner asked with a dumb expression.
"Here look" He held it out for him to see before tossing it to the ground. They turned around and walked away all the while laughing leaving a body in their wake while looking for their next victim.( Is that correct_). Their footsteps fading off into the distance.
Naruto laid on the ground clutching the stump on the arm in a pool of his own blood unmoving.
'I don't wa...wanna d..die yet' This was the only thought that passed through his mind as he slowly sink into the realm of unconsciousness. He caught the hazy silhouette of a person making it way towards him but before his mind could register it he had already lost consciousness.
Naruto made a weak groan as he sat up on the bed...wait bed?. He looked around and notice that he was inside a small room with only a single window at the head of the bed with a door on the other side of the room.
"Where am I?" He groaned, his head was a mess. The last thing he remembered before losing consciousness was his arm being cut off by some maniac. 'Right arm?...'
"My right arm!" He shouted in horror as his brain finally jolt awake. He turned his head to look at his right arm expecting the worst only to see it resting on his right shoulder perfectly fine. But the weird thing was the golden gauntlet wrapped around it. He softly caressed it with his left hand, tracing a finger along the symbols on the gauntlet.
"What is this?"
"The Deistic Brace" A voice answered jolting him out of his thoughts. His head turned abruptly toward the door on the far left of the room where a lady was now standing in the doorway. He had been so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice her walking in. She looks like a lady in her late teens with short brown hair. She is wearing a light blue mini dress, and darker blue short-sleeved jacket, brown belt, and thigh-high brown boots. He could swear that he had seen her face before somewhere but he just couldn't wrap his hands around it. He did a quick scan of her face in his memory before it finally clicked.
"You are that girl from earlier"
"The name's Olivia. Thank you saving me"
"I'd like to say that it's not a big deal, but, it really was"
"How are you feeling?" She asked as she walk up to the bedside and sat down at the edge of the bed.
"Like I never lost an arm" He raise his right hand up and stared at it with an astonished look.
"That was only possible because of the brace on your arm" Olivia smiled, then pointed at the object encasing his arm.
"You called it the deistic brace" His face squeeze up a little. The name sounded so foreign to him.
"Yes. It is the sealed form of the Godhand" She smiled at his expression, not finding it surprising. After all, not everybody knew about the Godhand.
"Say what now?"
"The reason those demons were after me was because of that brace on your arm. For generations my family has been tasked with protecting the Godhand so that it won't fall into the wrong hands. I am it current protector"
'Demons? Godhand? Why does this siund like a fairytail. He inwardly sigh 'If what she says is true, then there's one thing I just can't understand'
"If it's so important that you will protect it with your life, then why give it to me?" He just can't seem to understand her logic.
Olivia smiled, already expecting the question. "I gave it to you as thanks for saving me, and also to compensate for your right arm. After all, you lost it because of me".
At the mention of his right arm, he subconsciously grab his right arm, ensuring that it was still there.
"Though I can't say if my decision is correct or not. But at the moment, it was the only thing that I could do to save you"
'I thought I was the one saving you' His expression turn sour and he let out a disappointed sigh. 'I've become so pathetic this days'.
Noticing his expression, olivia could understand what he was thinking.
"You don't have to feel so down. If you hadn't intervene but I would have been dead by now, and you wouldn't have been able to obtain the Godhand" Her words struck his heart like a bolt of lightning. It made sense though. It felt more faithed than a coincidence. But then
He had a flash of insight, turned to look at her, and asked.
"Why didn't you use the Godhand?"
"Me?" She had an incredulous look on her face. "Am just it protector, i can't wield the arm"
"For real?"
"If I could, then why would I have shouted for help?".
"That's true though" He struct a thinking pose.
"That's why I have been searching for a worthy person. Pls..." She grab both of his hands causing him to look into her eyes filled with sincerity. "Help me stop the four devas from summoning angra. Help me stop the demons from taking over the world". If he had any plans of refusing her before, he had completely forgotten about it now. He might hate the world, but that doesn't mean he wanted to see it burn.
He look at her in the eyes, smiled, and said "Alright then, I'll help you save the world"
"That's great!"
"*Cough* cough" She cleared her throat, hold out her right hand for a handshake, and reintroduced herself.
"Am Olivia. What should I call you?". Naruto glanced at her outstretched hand, and couldn't help but reach out his own for a firm handshake.
"You can call me Gene."
And so began my journey of a slave *cough* a savior to liberate the world from the hands of the demons. Who knew one faithful encounter would lead to me becoming something more. I thought it was over for me when I lost my status as a ninja. But now, I can finally become more, with the help of this...
...GODHAND!
.
The end.
I hope you guys like my little piece of work. Also for those wondering, naruto isn't on the elemental nation but on a smaller continent not far away.
To be honest this chapter was supposed to go on longer than this. Naruto was going to refuse her and then leave her to continue to another town where he would experience the power of the Godhand. He would then come back to find Olivia and agree to follow her in return for her teaching him about the Godhand. But I decided that that shouldn't be the case. It's been over 7 years since he was banish and lost his chakra. For someone who had once been strong it will be difficult to settle for less, so the Godhand should serve as a good replacement for him. A power beyond his wildest imagination. He lost something precious to him only to get something even more precious. Anyways I hope you guys liked it more than I do. The next chapter will be better that this I promise_
Till next time.
Ja ne
