Very loosely connected to Beyond Ghostfreaked, also just assume it's been some time since the last one. The others I made in this kind of "series" of oneshots I haven't gotten to writing.
Eleven year old Gwen Tennyson, self-trained mage, was faced with an interesting dilemma. She stood in the space at the back of her grandfather's homely RV that she shared with her doofus of a cousin. One who over the course of their summers together, had come to worm his way into her heart; in a way that she was sure
her father did with her mother.
With a towel wrapped around her waist, she dug through the drawers of the small shared dresser; her face tinted red as she dug in Ben's underwear drawer.
It wasn't because hers were all in the laundry, no; but this was something she had wanted to try since she had first realized what she felt for the boy.
Since they had talked about their feelings, she wanted to do something a bit different. She glanced at each pair, snorting at how many plain white briefs the boy brought, then paused as she pulled out a dark green pair of boxer shorts. Her face burned a bit brighter as she quickly slipped into it, the cotton settled nicely on her rear and thighs; very comfy! She was beginning to understand the stories on forums about girls stealing their boyfriend's clothes.
She closed his drawer, then slipped on her blue "Cat's Meow" shirt, she paused for a moment; a nervous grin on her face.
She forewent grabbing a pair of pants, Grandpa Max probably wouldn't mind for a bit, would he?
She opened the curtain and stepped towards the kitchenette, her bare feet slapping against the carpeted floor.
Max glanced up from the stove, where he was frying some eggs. Two stacks of pancakes sat on the counter top beside him, so it seems as if he'd been making breakfast for a bit. Max raised an eyebrow, a slight smirk on his face. "Kind of a no pants morning, Pumpkin?" She giggled, brushing back a lock of her red hair.
"Yeah, didn't feel like getting dressed all the way." Max raised an eyebrow at her boxers, giving her a knowing look. "Didn't think of you as the type to wear boy shorts."
He quipped, a smirk on his face. She blushed under his scrutiny. "First time for everything." She muttered, stepping past him and walking towards the booth where Ben sat. She leaned over him, grinning when he glanced back up at her. "Oh, morning Dweeb." He muttered, turning back to his game. She stepped around the table, standing with her arms behind her back as Ben returned to his Gameboy. He glanced up once, then twice, then he did a triple take; placing his Gameboy on the table as his jaw dropped. "Uh, Dweeb?" He muttered, his face burning. "I think those are mine." He said. Gwen grinned, a blush on her face. "Oh, are they? They're super comfy though, I think I'm gonna wear them for a bit!" Ben's eyes met hers, he averted his gaze again.
She sat down across from him, smiling shyly. "Do you mind?" Ben's head shot up, he quickly shook his head.
"No! No, I don't mind, no ma'am." His blush returned as he scratched the back of his neck. "...you look cute, Gwen."
She placed her hand on the table, he reached over and squeezed it. "Thanks, Doofus. These really are super comfy, I may have to buy myself a few pairs over the summer." Ben snickered. "Well, maybe you'll wanna try out my cargo shorts next; give you more room to carry your spell book and stuff." Gwen giggled, before giving him a pondering look. "That's not actually a bad idea, thanks Doofus!" She grinned, Ben shook his head. "You're crazy, Dweeb." She grinned, leaning back and putting her bare legs up on the table as Max walked over with their breakfast. "Crazy or not, Gwen; legs off the table. Also; quit teasing Ben! I get that the two of you are trying to work this thing out, but I told the two of you to behave didn't I?" Gwen's grin turned sheepish. "Sorry, Grandpa! It's just too much fun, I love seeing his cute face get all red!" Ben sputtered. "C-c-cute!?" His head went to Grandpa Max, then back to Gwen.
Max let out a long suffering sigh before returning to the kitchen to get his breakfast calamari ready.
