Chapter 6- Sonic Goes to Battery Park
Recap
Sonic, Chris, Anna and Miles have made it over to Battery Park.
Miles parks his plane near the entrance.
"Ok. We are here.", said Miles
"Great." said Chris
(Now it's continued)
Two days earlier…
Robo Company Washington DC
One day ago
Meanwhile, a long nosed man walked over to Robotnik.
He is an officer for the United States government but he works and is in cahoots with Ivo Robotnik.
"I already know where Sonic and the rest are. We're ready to move forward." he said,
"And where are they?" asked Robotnik
"They are in Manhattan. New York City." the officer said
"Well done, Sev. Keep it up and the president will promote you." said Robotnik, "Let's get going before they try to escape the city. It may take days but we'll get there in time."
"Yes sir!" said Sev
Robotnik calls on the president to send the military after Sonic.
Once that is done, a bunch of trucks and army cannons pull out of the building. Robotnik and Sev follow them. The two of them hop on a big air ship.
They all take off to Manhattan.

(Present day)
Battery Park
Suddenly. Sonic, Chris and Anna had landed on the boardwalk to the park.
"Now, let's go!" shouted Sonic
Miles hands Chris his tracker.
"Here. This will help you guys spot them faster.", said Miles
"Ok. Thank you.", said Chris

Sonic keeps running fast and speeding through the park. Chris and Anna try to catch up with him but he is far too fast.
"WOAH! Can you please slow it down?!", yelled Chris
"You are going to make us dizzy!" yelled Anna

Meanwhile. Amy Rose and Knuckles the Echidna are wandering around the city.
"Sonic shouldn't have been so reckless. His actions got us warped over here. Unless we can find a way back, we are screwed." said Knuckles
Amy gets pissed.
"Shut up! It's not even Sonic's fault! He did not even know that a portal was going to appear and suck us all in. None of us knew." said Amy, "Besides, I thought you knew better."
Knuckles groans.
Suddenly, both Amy and Knuckles have reached Battery Park. An area of the park covered with trees and grass.
Amy stares at the sight in awe. She smiles as she breathes in the cool, crisp air.
Knuckles simply just crosses his arms.
Amy looks at Knuckles. She rolls her eyes at him.
"You're very stubborn aren't you? Just look at this beautiful park. Breathe in the fresh air for a second and enjoy that we are here, while looking for Sonic." said Amy
Knuckles nods. He takes in the fresh air and breathes.

Suddenly, Chris, Anna and Sonic have stopped in the beautiful area of the park where it is basically a playground. All kids and everyone running across the grass, then some sitting down having a picnic.
Chris is holding Miles's tracker in his hand.
Anna slaps Sonic on the cheek.
"Ow! What did you do that for?!" Sonic yelled
"You idiot! You almost made us dizzy! Do you even care about that?!" yelled Anna, as tears are streaming down her eyes
"I'm sorry." Sonic said, "it's just who I am."
Chris looks over at Anna. He looks disappointed at her.
"Anna. I get it. He was too fast for us but don't you think you are overreacting? You shouldn't have slapped him! You almost forgot what we are here for in the first place!" scolded Chris
"Yeah, but he was being an idiot! We almost could have gotten killed too if he was not careful!" yelled out Anna, "He didn't seem to care if we we-"
"I don't want to hear it. I get it. I don't like that too but you did not make it any better. Thank god Grandpa nor our parents are even here. Otherwise, they would rage at you. What were you even thinking?! No ifs or buts, you're going to apologize to Sonic!" Chris said, scolding his sister
Anna crosses her arms. Deep down, she is starting to think her brother was right after all.
"Alright. Fine. You're right. I went a little too far." said Anna
Sonic is sighing.
"Sonic…I'm sorry. I really am. I should not have slapped you like that. I was just angry at you, for possibly putting us at risk, that's all." said Anna, shedding some tears
"It's alright…" Sonic said, "I forgive. Worse things have happened and you are a good friend."
Anna smiles
Sonic and Anna both hug each other.
"Aww." said Chris
So. Chris, Anna and Sonic continued looking for Sonic's other friends.

Shadow is standing next to a building right near where Battery Park is located. He has somehow found Rouge and E-123 Omega (the robot) there. (A/N This is where Shadow has been during all of Chapter 5 through Chapter 6).
Shadow is investigating the area to locate where Ivo Robotnik is, while Rouge and Omega are looking in different spots for the others.
Rouge then spots Shadow.
"Any sign so far of suspicious activity or anyone we know here?" asked Rouge
"Not yet. Although I do sense that half of them are held hostage in DC." said Shadow, "It's not good. I hope Sonic and his human companions can find almost all of them before we are too late."
"I am sure they'll be okay in the end." said Rouge, "No matter what. We can all get out of tough situations alive."
Shadow sighs.
"I really hope so, Rouge." said Shadow
E-123 Omega nods, agreeing with Shadow
"What are you waiting for? Let's keep moving and help Sonic." said Omega
Shadow, Rouge and Omega then all search for the others while locating the whereabouts of Robotnik.

Somehow, the military sent by Robotnik, are in Battery Park. They are following Chris, Anna and Sonic. They want to capture Sonic along with Tails and the rest of Sonic's friends, to perform experiments on all of them.
The general of the US Military looks at the soldiers.
"I think we see the hedgehog.." he said
"Well, let's capture him and bring him to the Robo company!", A soldier had said.

Meanwhile, Grandpa Chuck had arrived at Battery Park. He had somehow followed his grandkids, Sonic and Miles. He wants to make sure they are okay. Also, he can work with Miles to help Chris, Anna, and Sonic find all of Sonic's friends.
Chuck is looking at Miles.
"You must be Miles? Chris's classmate from school? I heard that you are a inventor and scientist like I am.", said Chuck
"Yeah. I am. In fact, I am helping them find all the other Sonic characters.", said Miles
"I am going along with you to help them out too. We'd make a good team.", said Chuck
Miles nods.
"Agreed." said Miles
Miles then shows Chuck the tracker to where Chris, Anna and Sonic are. Then, the two go follow them.

A few minutes later, Miles, Chuck, Chris, Anna and Sonic manage to meet up.
"Grandpa, what are you doing HERE?!" exclaimed Chris
"That is what I am wondering myself." said Anna
"I wanted to help find Sonic's friends. Plus, I wanted to make sure you two were okay." said Grandpa Chuck
"Oh. Well, we're fine. Thank you." Anna said, while smiling
Sonic decided to talk to Miles
"Hey, Miles. Have you gotten far into finding them yet?" asked Sonic
"No. Not yet. Although we are getting close." said Miles
"I see." said Sonic
Miles smiles.
The five all split up and look for the others.

Meanwhile, Robotnik is smirking. He had traveled to the city just so he and his company along with the military- all funded by the government, can capture Sonic & his friends.
Two military soldiers are rushing through Battery Park.

Knuckles and Amy are walking around the park.
Though Knuckles would never really admit it out loud; he started to enjoy the park. He smiles.
Amy puts her hand around Knuckles.
"Sonic must be around here somewhere. It looks like a spot where Sonic would go on one of his runs." said Amy
Knuckles nods.
Suddenly, military trucks pull up to Knuckles and Amy
"Oh no." said Knuckles
Knuckles and Amy try to run but it is too late. They were surrounded
A soldier then runs out of a truck and points at the two.
Amy grabs her hammer and slams one of the truckers.
"Freeze! Put your hands up!", yelled out a soldier
Knuckles growls
"We're toast.", said Knuckles

Sonic went with Chris to look for the others. Anna went with Miles and Chuck.
Neither of them appear to be getting anywhere.
Sonic sighs.
He looks at Chris.
"So far, there doesn't seem to be any sign of them in this place..", said Sonic
Chris nods.
"We have to keep looking.", said Chris

Anna is sweating and panicking. As far as she knows, nowhere are any other Sonic characters seen in this park.
"Ugh. They are not here! It's not right. They have to be there somewhere!", yelled Anna
"Calm down, Anna. I am sure we'll be able to find them.", said Miles
"Leave it up to us.", said Chuck
Suddenly, the three hear something in the background.
"What is this?", asked Chuck, in a state of confusion
Anna and Miles then run up, to check where the noise is from.
They both look at Knuckles & Amy as they are trying to fight off the military.
Miles then calls Chris and Sonic on his phonw\e.

Meanwhile, Sonic and Chris are standing there when they receive a call from Miles. Chris picks up the phone.
"We found two. Look. Follow us.", said Miles
"OK. Show us.", said Chris

Sonic and Chris go to the Battery Park area where Anna, Miles and Chuck are.
Suddenly, the two look. They watch in horror as they see Knuckles and Amy trying to fight off military forces.
Sonic growls.
Chris sighs.
"I was afraid of this.", said Chris
"Don't worry. We'll save them in no time.", said Sonic
Sonic looks over at Knuckles, and waves at him.
"Yo! Knux. Want some help here?!" Sonic called out
Both him and Amy look over at Sonic.
"Sonic? Is that really you?", asked Knuckles
"Yup. That's me.", said Sonic
"Oh my..SONIC!", said Amy, as she bursts into tears.
She is smiling.
She puts down her hammer for a second.
She runs up and hugs him. She kisses him as well.
"I missed you so much.." said Amy
"I missed you too, Ames.", said Sonic
Sonic and Amy break apart from the hug.
"Come on. There's no time for this. We should kick some butt!", yelled out Knuckles
Sonic, Chris, Anna and Amy nod. They all agree with Knuckles
Amy picks up the hammer again and starts smashing the tanks.

A mysterious military soldier then finally goes to Knuckles.
He opens fire and shoots a tranquilizer towards him.
Knuckles jumps and escapes before it can hit him.
Chris then runs up and chokes one of the soldiers with his bare hands.

Miles and Chuck watch them.
Chuck turns to Miles.
"I'm worried about my grandkids. I hope they'll be alright.", said Chuck, with concern on his face
"Don't worry. They'll be okay. I'm sure of it.", said Miles
The old man sighs.
"I hope you're right.", said Chuck

Suddenly, an airship comes by.
The ship lands down on the ground next to the tanks.
Missiles come flying. Sonic tries to dodge but he gets hit with one of them.
Chris, Anna, Amy and Knuckles gasp at the sight of it.
"SONIC!"
Sonic coughs.

Two people come out of it.
One is Ivo Robotnik. The owner of the Robo-Company in Washington DC. He works for the U.S. government, and in fact, his company is owned by the government.
The other is Sev Longelius. A government officer and Robotnik's partner in crime.
Robotnik and Sev walk over to them.
They look specifically at Sonic.
"We have been expecting you, Sonic the Hedgehog.." Robotnik said, with an evil grin on his face, "As well as Amy and Knuckles."
Sonic, Amy and Knuckles look up at him.
"EGGMAN?!", they exclaimed
Robotnik looks at them, offended.
"I am not this 'Eggman' you SPEAK OF!", said Robotnik, "I am Ivo Robotnik of the Robo-Company. Based in DC, and we work under the government. I am demanding you turn yourselves in now. There will be consequences if you don't!"
Sonic growls.
"This doesn't look too good.", said Chris

Meanwhile, Tails is flying his plane down at Battery Park. Johnny and Mara are with them.
They see a horrible sight. Sonic is on the ground, hurt. Amy and Knuckles are trying to fight back but are intimidated by Robotnik. Chris and Anna don't know what to do.
"That's SONIC!", exclaimed Tails, "He's HURT!"
Tails is concerned over Sonic.
"And my brother Chris is there with him!", shouted out Johnny
"We need to help them!", exclaimed Mara
Tails nods.
"Right on it." Tails said
He drives the plane over to where the others are.
"Don't worry, Sonic. I am going to help you.", thought Tails
