Chapter 13: Day 3 - Bugged Out

After the duel was done and over, Kara was back in her hotel room and looking at her copy of Diabolica. She didn't know why she got the feelings after her monster was defeated in battle and she wanted to be alone, but it was something she had to do.
She sighed and resumed, "Why am I the way I am right now? I lose her in a battle, but i'm just fine as a duelist and I got the win as well, but I abandoned my friends afterwards."
"I'm the only friend you need for yourself, child.", a deep voice said in her head and she looked around her room and she resumed, "What the heck was that all about? I'm I losing my mind right now?"
"Not at all, child. I've been a part of your mind ever since you got my card in a card pack before that major tournament you won in. I'm always a part of your life and body, my dear.", The voice said in her head and she nodded and resumed, "Is that you, Diabolica?"
"Indeed it is, child. I'm always here for you and I'll won't stop until you win this silly tournament and show the world how a true Fiend Duelist duels."
The duelist nodded and resumed, "What do I need to do to become a true follower of you?"
"Distance yourself from those silly friends of yours and duel on your own and if one of them gets in your way, defeat them!"
"I hate to do this, but I want to be to be a true Fiend Duelist and with you and Dark Ruler Ha Des in my deck, I'll have no trouble getting there and I won't even let my friends get in my way."
"Glad you see things in my way, my dear Kara. Let's get your deck some more cards later tonight and hopefully no one gets in your way this time!"
She smiled and nodded and her hair turned dark black and with small purple streaks in it and she smiled with red eyes and resumed, "Good to be reborn in the perfect vassalI I'll crush anyone that gets in my way!"
She took Kara's deck and she looked through it and she laughed and resumed, "I know the perfect deck to use with my own cards and I have some good ideas for these cards!"
She took some her of cards and placed the other ones on a table and she laughed and resumed, "Time to get going and get some better cards and defeat some duelists!"
She quickly left her room.

Later on the day at another part of the island, Maxwell's son Brighton was in a duel with the rock Duelist Johnny D. Brighton only had 3 chips left and Johnny D had double his amount and the best was for two of them. Brighton had a faceup Robotic Knight (DEF: 1,800) and a facedown monster and he had 2 cards in his hand and two cards facedown as well and the rock master had a Galiant Granite (ATK: 2,300) with one Xyz Material monster and a Fossil Tusker (ATK: 1,800) and he had no facedown cards and 3 cards in his hand. Brighton redid his deck and this was his new deck now and this was his first duel with it.

The rock duelist nodded and resumed, "Granite attacks now."
It went and swung its sword, cleaving her robot soldier right down the middle. The halves sparked and then shattered to pieces.
"Tusker attacks."
It let a huge burst of rocks and dust and a Boot-Up Soldier - Dread Dynamo appeared on the card (DEF: 2,000) and the attack did nothing to the machine (Johnny D LP: 3800 - 3600) and he nodded and resumed, "Decent move you had there, my friend. I end my turn now."
He drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Machine Duplication."
The spell appeared and two more of the machines appeared (ATK: 0 x2).
"I now summon my Green Gadget."
She played the card and the small green robot appeared (ATK: 1,400) and his robots powered up (ATK: 0 x 2 - 2,000 x2) and she resumed, "I now get a Red Gadget now."
He quickly grabbed the card and he smiled and resumed, "Nice one. I now send my Red Gadget and the Gadget Soldier from my hand to Special Summon my Boot-Up Admiral - Destroyer Dynamo."
He discardesd the two cards and a even larger and buikier robot appeared (ATK: 2,500) and Johnny D nodded and resumed, "You have some decent moves there, my friend. Go for it."
"Thanks for a awesome duel. Destroyer Dynamo attacks."
It went in and punched at his Galiant Granite and blew it to little pieces of jagged rock that flew around the field and he resumed, "My Dread Dynamo attacks now."
It went and punched at his Tusker and smashed it into shards of rock and she resumed, "My other attack Dynamo and my Green Gadget for game."
They both went in and punched at him and knocked him back a little bit (Johnny D LP: 3600 - 0) and then his machines all faded away into pixels and Johnny D walked up him and he smiled and resumed, "I wish the best of luck."
He took two chips and handed them to her and he resumed, "I wish the best of luck for the remainder of this tournament, my friend."
They both shook hands and then both left the area.

Later that day in the coffee shop, the ladies met up with Christian and were enjoying some drinks before they would fine more duelists to face. They have tried about 5 times to call up Kara in her room, but weren't able to get the call through and she hung up on the last 3 times as well. Sly was busy with other things as well.
Maddie sighed and resumed, "I wonder what is up with her right now? She won that duel and she dueled great and it was a amazing duel as well."
Bailey then resumed, "I wish I knew what was wrong as well, girl. She's a great friend and I hope she's still doing okay."
Maddie only nodded and then Christian resumed, "I hope so too. She has a super power Fiend deck."
She looked back at Christian and resumed, "You find out anything about those cards that she used?"
He nodded and resumed, "Darn right I did. Those cards were first released in 2069 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the release of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!. That wonderful and amazing show started Scooby Doo and even after being on the air for over 100 years now, the show continues to stay strong and fun to watch if you don't know what to watch and want to remember some good times. The cards are really rare and are found on most card bidding sites at 800 to 1,500 dollars per card and as a complete set, they're worth about 100,000 dollars as a mint set! I wonder how Kara got some of them myself."
Maddie nodded and resumed, "I'd like to know that myself. I heard they're all Fiend monsters and they would be decent staples for any kind of Fiend deck."
"I thought I'd find you here, White!", a woman yelled out and they turned and saw a blonde-haired female with blonde hair and she wore a flowered red dress and she had blue eyes and tattoos of butterflies and flowers all the wall down her left arm as a full sleeve and she had a large tattoo of a rainbow-colored butterfly on her chest and
Christian sighed and resumed, "Jolene, we meet again."
The other looked confused and she resumed, "She's a duelist I met When I was on Florida with Anna on a trip there and she challenged me to a duel in front of a huge crowd and I won with my deck with no trouble at all."
She looked back at him and resumed, "my Nickname is actually Jojo and you humilated me in front of my boyfriend Trevor and my boyfriend's family as well! Lucky for you, I'm still with that wonderful loving guy."
"You'll blame me for that why now?"
"I didn't want to look like a weak duelist in front of the love my life and you did so to me! I was invited to this tournament and I wanted to meet you for a damn rematch and my deck is even tougher then before as well!"
Christian nodded and resumed, "Fine with me and if I win, you stay away from me for the rest of this tournament."
She nodded and resumed, "If that what it takes to duel you again, I accept that completely."
He nodded and he got up and the two duelists ran in the street in front of the hotel and she smiled and resumed, "You have some decent chip numbers? I have 5 of them right now myself."
He showed her the gauntlet and it had 6 of them and she resumed, "How about a one star chip bet?"
He nodded and resumed, "Sounds good to me, lady. Let's do this then."
Both duelists activated their duel disks and both drew 5 cards from their decks and Maddie smiled and resumed, "Kick this ladies butt, Christian."
"Game on!", Both yelled out.

Jojo smiled and resumed,"I'll be a really sweet lady and allow to go first, White."

She drew a card and resumed, "I'll set a card as well and then I'll summon my Monarch Papillion."
She played the card and a A large orange and red-winged butterfly appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"Destory his facedown monster!"
It let out a huge burst of dust and pollen and his Left-Hand Shark appeared on the card (DEF: 1,500) and the attack covered it and reduced it to dust and small white shards.
"I see your still using that Ocean deck of yours. I end my turn now."
He drew a card and resumed, "I bring forth my Great Blue Marlin."
She played the card and the beautiful blue fish appeared (ATK: 1,900).
"Destroy her monster."
It quickly went in and pecked at her insect and it let out a small squeak-like noise before it shattered into shards ) (Jojo LP: 8000 - 7700).
"Your turn now, Jojo."
She drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Graceful Charity."
The spell appeared and the crowd looked stunned and then Bailey resumed, "You can't use a illegial card in a duel! You'll lose the duel right away and get kicked out of this tournament."
Christian nodded and resumed, "My friend is right about that one."
She smiled evily and resumed, "It's a lot different then that old card banned card, you silly people. I discard 1 card and then also send the top card of my deck to the graveyard."
She discarded the card and discarded the top card and then she resumed, "I now can draw 2 cards during my next Draw Phase instead of one."
Maddie sighed and resumed, "I hate to admit it, that card would be strong in any kind of deck if you need cards in your graveyard."
"Thats why I own a copy of it. I'll set a monster and that's all for me."
He drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Bubble Bass."
He played the card and his large green-skinned fish appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"I added this one and another one a day ago. I attack your facedown monster and when it destoys a monster, you take 300 damage."
The dragon let out a deep growl as a small burst of fiery light shot out and a Howling Insect appeared on the card (DEF: 1,300) and the fiery attack consumed it and burned it a crisp as some of the fiery attack struck her (Jojo LP: 7700 - 7400) and she nodded and resumed, "I Special Summon my Guard Mantis."
She played the card and a large green mantis with spiked arms appeared (DEF: 2,400) and Christian saw the new monster and he nodded and resumed, "Decent shield you have there. I end my turn now."
She drew two cards for the card's effect and she resumed, "I'll discard my Anteatereatingant to Special Summon my Chainsaw Insect with Overdone Burial."
She discarded the card and the large beetle with large mandibles appeared (ATK: 2,400).
"I now summon my Shiny Black "C" Squadder."
She played the card and a strange humanoid-like creature with a black exoskeleton appeared (ATK: 2,000) and then she opened her field slot and resumed, "I activate my Forest."
She slid the card into the slot and the large forest formed around her side of the field (ATK: 2,400 - 2,600) - (ATK: 2,000 - 2,200) - (DEF: 2,400 -2,600)
"You don't get a draw when my Chainsaw insect attacks thanks to Overdone Burial's effect either! It'll carve up your Bubble Bass and my Squadder will attack your other one!"
The large insect and swung its mandibles, cleaving through his Bubble Bass in two. As the pieces dissolved into bubbles, her Squadder went and struck down her Marlin and blew it to shards (Christian LP: 8000 - 6900).
"I've been waiting to do this for a long time now, White! I end my turn now."
He drew a card and resumed, "I'll set a monster facedown and 1 other card facedown and that'll be it for me."
She drew a card and resumed, "I'll activate Foolish Burial."
The spell appeared and she took a 2nd Squadder and discarded it and then her deck reshuffled and then resumed, "Squadder attacks now."
It quickly went in and a strange creature strange humanoid creature that looked part human and half squid with its lower half was a body of 6 white tentacles and with 2 tenacle-like arms appeared and it's wearing a soldier's outfit while holding a metal baton for a weapon in one of the arm tentacles as well (DEF: 1,200) and Squadder struck it down with its mandible and blew it to bits and he nodded and resumed, "When my Soldier Kraken is destroyed, I can Special Summon another Water monster with 1,500 or attack or less and that includes another Kraken."
A 2nd of the srange Aquas appeared (DEF: 1,400) and she sighed as her Chainsaw Insect went in and sliced it in half with its mandibles and its remains dissolved into black puddle of murky ink-like fluid and then his Needle Sunfish appeared (ATK: 1,500).
"What a odd one. I'll activate my Supply Squad."

"I now end my turn for now."
He drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Rescue Crab."
She played the card and the small adorable crab appeared (ATK: 300) and then I nodded and resumed, "I activate my Mystical Space Typhoon."
The storm began and each of the trees were torn apart in a shower of wooden splinters and rotted leaves (ATK: 2,600 - 2,400) - (ATK: 2,200 - 2,000) - (DEF: 2,600 - 2,400).
"I'll banish it and summon my Armored Shark from my hand and my Big Jaws from my deck."
The small crab vanished as a large armored shark (ATK: 500) appeared next to a even larger shark (ATK: 1,800).
"I overlay my 3 Level 3 monsters to Xyz Summon my Deep Sea Lancer."
The 3 creatures glowed and turned into light-blue orbs and they flew into the sky and the mighty sea warrior with a large trident appeared (ATK: 2,100 - 2,400) and Bailey nodded and resumed, "So you can use more then one Xyz Material with that monster. That is really cool."
"I'll discarded a Xyz Material to weaken your large bug."
She took her Needle Sunfish and discarded it as her bug weakened (ATK: 2,400 - 1,600) and then a burst of needles shot out and struck his bug (ATK: 1,800 - 1,100).
"Lance her bug now."
It quickly rushed and pierced his large bug with its trident and blew it to shards (Jojo LP: 7400 - 6100) and she drew a card thanks to her Spell.
"I end my turn now."
Jojo drew a card and resumed, "I'll switch my Squadder to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that's all for my."
He drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Metabo-Shark."
He played the card and a strange creature that combined a large shark with a large fish with many fins appeared (ATK: 1,800) and he resumed, "I'll shuffle two Fish monsters back into my deck."
He took his Needle Sunfish and Bubble Bass and shuffled the cards into his deck and he resumed, "Metabo-Shark attacks."
It let out a deep moan as a large ball of slimey gunk shot out and slammed down and blew her Squadder to bits and he drew a new card.
"My Lancer attacks."
It rushed and large and tougher Man-Eater Bug appeared on the card (DEF: 600) and the attack did nothing to it and Jojo smiled evily and resumed, "You flipped my Mimicking Man-Eater Bug and my monster is not destroyed and your monster is destroyed!"
It quickly rushed and slashed through the Xyz and it groaned and then burst into shards and its weapon shattered to pieces as well and the pieces flew into him and it began
more serpent-like with leathery-like skin and a large blue tail (ATK: 450 - 2,550) and he groaned and resumed, "That smarts a bit. I end my turn now."
She drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Neo Bug."
She played the card and the large alien-like bug appeared (ATK: 1,800).
"I attack with my stronger bug!"
It went and it slashed at the large shark-like creature with its claws and and it let out a deep moaned before it shattered to pieces (Christian LP: 6900 - 6150) and he nodded and resumed, "I activate my Pin-Point Guard."
The trap appeared and the Metabo-Shark reappeared and it knelt (DEF: 500) and she sighed and resumed, "You'll never spoil this duel for me, White. I end my turn now."
He drew a card and he opened his field slot and resumed, "I activate A Legendary Ocean."
He slid the card into the slot and the beautiful ocean formed around him and the beautiful palace appeared behind him.
"Now I can summon my Mecha Sea Dragon Plesion with no tribute needed."
He played the card and a large mecha sea dragon appeared (ATK: 2,300 - 2,500) and Bailey nodded and resumed, "Not a bad sea monster to use."
"I use its effect and send a Water monster away to destroy a card of yours."
A cannon appeared on the chest of it and it fired and the huge shark-like fish flew in and slammed into her Mimicking-Eater Bug and blew it to pieces.
"I attack now."
The huge creature glowed as a huge burst of water shot out and it struck her monster and the sogggy bug let out a tiny screech-like noise before it shattered into triangles (Jojo LP: 6100 - 5400) and she drew a card for her Squad card."
"I end my turn now."
She drew a card and resumed, "You are a decent duelist. I'll activate my Mutliplication of Ants."
The Spell appeared and the mantis broken apart into little shards as two large green ants appeared and knelt (DEF: 1,200 x 2).
"I'll set a new monster facedown and that's all for me."
He drew a card and resumed, "I summon my Mermaid Knight."
He played the card and the mighty fmale mermaid knight appeared (ATK: 1,500 - 1,700).
"My Knight will take care of your ants."
She smiled and quickly went in and slashed through both of his token, cutting them both into fragments that dissolved quickly.
"My other one attacks."
It glowed as two large missiles shot out and a Morphing Jar appeared on the card (DEF: 600) and the missiles struck near and obliterated the jar and she discarded a card and he nothing to discard and both drew 5 cards and he resumed, "I'll set a card for later and that's all for me."
She drew a card and resumed, "I'll activate my Heavy Storm!"
The spell appeared and her Supply Squad and his facedown Drowning Mirror Force were blown to shards and the ocean dried up and returned them all to the field (ATK: 1,750 - 1,550) - (ATK: 2,500 - 2,300) and then she smiled and resumed,"I'm going to love this next move. Since I have 3 Squadders in my graveyard and they all have the same name, I Can Special Summon my Super Armored Robot Armed Black Iron "C" from my hand!"
She played the card and a huge insect that looked part machine and part insect appeared (ATK: 2,400) and Bailey saw the huge monster and she groaned and resumed, "What a monster."
"I'll send one of the equipped Squadders away to destroy a monster with more attack then the sent monster!"
It glowed as a huge dark ball of energy shot out and slammed down and smashed through his Machine and it sparked and exploded in a shower of hot metal that rained down on him.
"I now summon my Insect Knight!"
She played the card and the mantis-like knight appeared (ATK; 1,900).
"Knight, attack!"
It went and swung its sword, cleaving the mermad in twain down the middle. The remains dissolved into puddles of water.
"Attack him directly!"
It glowed as another huge ball of energy shot out and slammed into him (Christian LP: 6900 - 4150) and Jojo laughed and resumed, "That felt so darn good to do so! I end my turn now."
He drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Xyz Rebirth."
The trap appeared and his Deep Sea lancer appeared (ATK: 2,100).
"I'll overlay him to bring out my Deep Sea Heavy Armored Lancer."
The Xyz glowed as it burst into a shower of small blue shards and they all reformed and a A huge serpent warrior covered in beautiful blue armor and wielding a large and sharper metaled trident for a weapon (ATK: 2,100) and Maddie nodded and resumed, "What a awesome monster."
"he gains 200 attack for each Xyz Material monster it has and that boost is as long as he remains on the field."
He began to glow (ATK: 2,100 - 2,500).
"I drop a Xyz Material monster to weaken your monster and powerup my monster by 1000."
He took the Xyz Rebirth card and discarded it and his weapon glowed (ATK: 2,500 - 3,500) and then his huge insect glowed as well (ATK: 2,400 - 1,400).
"Destroy it."
It quickly went and stabbed its trident into the center of it and it let out a screech of pain before it shattered into shards from top to bottom (Jojo LP: 5400 - 3300) and Maddie smiled and resumed, "No matter what she does, Christian has a answer for each move she does."
"Your turn now, my friend."
She drew a card and resumed, "I equip my Knight with Bio-Insect Armor."
The card appeared and two cannons appeared on its side.
"I now tribute it with my Cocoon of Ultra Evolution to special summon the strongest Insect in my deck!"
The Spell appeared and a burst of golden threads covered her Insect Knight and then it burst into golden threads as the huge and powerful moth appeared (ATK: 3,500).
"Meet the powerful and amazing Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth!"
The ladies saw the new monster and Maddie groaned and resumed, "Thanks to that spell card, it made it even quicker to summon it."
"Destroy his monster with your Tornado Of Doom!"
It flapped its wings rapidly as a huge storm of wind mixed with white and blue pollen shot out and struck down his Xyz and it dropped its weapon and then burst into shards (Christian LP: 4150 - 3150).
"I'm so close to beating you! I end my turn now."
He drew a card and resumed, "I'm not going to lose this duel. I activate my Dark World Dealings."
The spell appeared and she took a card and discarded one and he did the same and resumed, "I now play my Monster Reborn."
He played his card and his upgraded Xyz appeared (ATK: 2,100) and he resumed, "I Now play my Gifts of the Sea Spell Card."
The spell appeared.
"I drop 2,000 lifepoints to Special Summon 3 Water monsters with the same level from my graveyard."
He glowed (Christian LP: 3150 - 1150) and his Metabo-Shark (ATK: 1,800), Mermaid Knight (ATK: 1,550) and finally a Left-Hand Shark appeared (ATK: 1,300) and then they all glowed (ATK: 1,800 - 0) - (ATK: 1,800 - 0) - (ATK: 1,550 - 0).
"There effects are negated and their attack scores drop to 0 as well and I can only Special Summon Water Xyz monsters the turn I use my Spell. I overlay my 3 Level 4 monsters to Xyz Summon my Gagagigo the Risen."
The 3 water monsters glowed as they turned into glittering white orbs that flew into the air and then a large Reptile covered in metal armor and with sharp claws appeared (ATK: 2,950).
"I now rank up my Lancer to Xyz Summon my Xyz Armor Fortress."
He played the card and a heavliy armored sea machine with a rocket launcher loaded with a torpedo in it appeared (ATK: 2,500) and Maddie nodded and resumed, "He's doing really good."
"I now banish my Full-Armored Xyz and I'll equip my Xyz armored Fortress to my Gagagigo the Risen."
It broke apart into pieces of metal and they flew in and covered his monster with even more armor then before (ATK: 2,950 - 5,450) and he resumed, "Now I equip my Armored Shark with its effect to my monster as well to boost its attack up."
The large armored shark flew in and attached to his monster as well (ATK: 5,450 - 5,950) and Jojo smiled and resumed, "Go ahead and attack me. I'll stll have lifepoints left anyways."
He smiled back and resumed, "Your not making it to your next turn. Any Xyz monster equipped with Xyz Armor Fortress does double the battle damage."
She turned pale white as she realized she was done far.
"Gagagigo the Arisen, end this duel."
It glowed as a huge burst of energy mixed with electricity shot out and slammed into the center of his huge moth and it let out a loud screech of pain before it erupted into a explosion of pixels that shot out and pierced through her and knocked her back a bit (Jojo LP: 3300 - 0) and the crowd cheered as his mighty monster faded away from the field and Maddie smiled and resumed, "He gets better and better each time we watch him."
She only sighed and walked up to Christian and handed him a chip and she resumed, "I have one more thing to say to you before I leave, Christian."
He looked at her and she smiled and resumed, "Anna says Hi and she misses you a lot right now and also, thanks for a great duel."
He smiled and they both shook hands and the ladies looked puzzled and Christian nodded and resumed, "This is my girlfriend Anna's baby sister Jolene and when I was vacation with her, she wnated to duel me in front of a large crowd and het fiancee Ryan now."
Bailey smiled and resumed, :"You really know how to confuse and entertain us with your duels, Christian."
He nodded ad resumed, "Thanks for understanding, ladies. Me and her are going to catch up and I'll meet you all later and good luck finding out about your friend Kara."
They both nodded as the two friends left the area and Bailey looked back at her and resumed, "You want to head out now and get a drink somewhere?"
She nodded and they left as well while the crowd was breaking up as well."
