Another chapter!!! Also uploading and editing my fanfics to while on the

phone app is hard (don't have a computer) so if the chapters are short. Then that's why.

(It keeps spacing and breaking up sentences and it's a pain to put back together)

"Morningbreeze, can I talk with you for a moment?" The sleek flame-pelted she-cat looked up curiously from where she was eating a salmon and saw Silverstream standing over her, shifting on her paws nervously.

Morningbreeze blinked curiously at the she-cat who was now two moons pregnant. She was certainly showing and her warrior duties have greatly been reduced and was practically bored most of the time. Or that's what she usually told Morningbreeze.

"I was wondering if you'd come with me for a walk." The silver-and-black tabby meowed, glancing around as though afraid to be overheared. "Crookedstar and Oakheart don't think it's safe for me to go out alone right now. Being pregnant and all. They think I should be taking it easy."

"Of course I will!" Morningbreeze replied, practically senseing the tension seep out of the she-cats fur.

"Then let's leave as soon as possible." Silverstream said, giving Morningbreeze no time to finish her meal. Staring forlorn at the half eaten salmon, Morningbreeze covered it up with some reeds, promising to come back for it later.

Morningbreeze wondered why her friend was so insistent that they leave so quickly. Even more so that they head towards the border in which they share with ThunderClan. These things were forming a pit in Morningbreeze's stomach as she kept glancing down at Silverstream's pregnant belly. Morningbreeze was pretty sure that it wasn't Heavystep that was the father, unlike what everyone else thought. For Morningbreeze came from a future where Silverstream fell in love with a ThunderClan warrior and the flame-pelted warrior was pretty sure that this has happened a second time.

Once they reached the border and gazed across the river that had not so long ago flooded, Morningbreeze's suspension was correct at how Silverstream gazed longingly across at Sunningrocks that was temporarily claimed back by ThunderClan during the flooding.

"Morningbreeze I need to tell you something," Silverstream meowed, drawing Morningbreeze's attention to her friends grave face. "You remember Grayfang." Morningbreeze nodded. Of course she knew Grayfang. She had seen him on occasions when she meets up with Ravenwing. "Ever since we helped save ThunderClan's kits we've begun seeing each other. At first it was just friendly greetings and catching up with how we were both doing. It was unintentional but we grew even closer and well…I'm carrying Grayfang's kits and we're mates."

Silverstream rushed the last part out, but looked relieved to have said it.

'You must have held that in for a long time.' Morningbreeze thought.

Morningbreeze came to press her nose to Silverstream's shoulder. Since that was the only place she could really reach with Silverstream standing. And meowed, "I'm not going to judge you, Silverstream. I'll support whatever you decide to do when it comes to you and Graystr-fang's relationship."

Morningbreeze knew how futile it was to try and talk them out of being together in one life and she highly doubted she could do it in this one. "But please," Morningbreeze begged as she pulled away and looked imploringly at her friend. "Don't do anything reckless and get hurt. I don't know how I'd be able to take losing you."

Silverstream purred as she leaned down and licked Morningbreeze on the ear. "You shouldn't worry, Morningbreeze. I know what I'm doing and everything is going to turn out fine."

Morningbreeze watched as Silverstream slipped into the much calmer river and swam across to Sunningrocks, whether Morningbreeze caught sight of Grayfang hiding behind a crop of rocks.

When Silverstream crossed Grayfang was quick to approach and touch noses with her, entwining their tails together.

Morningbreeze stared for a moment. Watching the intimate moment unfold before her eyes.

This was going to be one of the most tragic love stories that there ever was and Morningbreeze was helpless to stop it.

Morningbreeze turned and dragged her paws further down the river to try and catch some fish and decided to wait in seclusion until Silverstream came back.

"I knew I could trust you!"

Morningbreeze listened as Silverstream thanked her over and over again while in-between gushed about her relationship with Grayfang.

"He's just the nicest tom that I've ever met! He's also funny and clever. And he's always complimenting me and shows me things that he's learned. He was showing me how to climb a tree before I got pregnant, doesn't it sound exciting to climb a tree?"

'I've climbed plenty of trees.' Morningbreeze thought but didn't comment. Just listening to her friend ramble and just get everything that's been weighing on her chest that she couldn't say before.

"I hope that our kits learn how to climb trees." Silverstream said dreamingly.

Morningbreeze wanted to point out that RiverClan cats don't typically climb trees, that it was more of a ThunderClan thing, but thought better of it. She decided to let Silverstream have her dreams for the time being for the harsh truth would soon snap them out it it.

'I just need to be there for them when it happens.' Morningbreeze decided.

When they returned to camp there was a big commotion going on. Which confused two she-cat's for they didn't know what was happening.

"What's going on?" Morningbreeze asked Loudbelly as the older warrior rushed by.

The dark brown warrior turned to them, his face grim. "We found Shadepelt's body laying close to camp. She seems to be killed by another cat but we're not sure. Mudfur is looking over her body now."

Both Morningbreeze and Silverstream were stunned. 'Shadepelt is dead?' Morningbreeze thought. Hardly believing that the cat who had been her rival for so long has been killed by possibly another cat.

"What has my father say about this?" Silverstream demanded, her fur seeming to rise.

Loudbelly shook his head. "He's been talking with Oakheart and Mudfur this entire time. He hasn't made an official statement just yet. But maybe he will soon."Just as he finished speaking, Crookedstar came walking out from the medicine cats den. They gathered around and watched as he leaped up into the roots of the great willow tree.

"RiverClan," the large tabby called their attention. "I've called this meeting to announce that one of our Clanmates, Shadepelt, has been found dead just this evening-" meows of alarm erupted from the Clan as cats turned to look at each other for answers. Crookedstar waiting a moment for the noise to die down to speak again. "We don't know exactly what caused this but we have reason to believe that it may have been another cat from the claw wounds Mudfur had identified on Shadepelt's body."

More meows of alarm alongside hisses of outrage. It startled Morningbreeze to think that a killer was on the loose. 'But isn't there already killers? After all, Tigerclaw is still alive.' Morningbreeze thought, but quickly shook that off. 'but Redtail's still alive. And I'll tell Ravenwing next time I see him to keep an eye on him just to make sure he's safe.'

"Have you identified the scent?" Leopardfur questioned from where she sat upfront with the older warriors.

Crookedstar shook his head. "There wasn't anything identifiable. Whoever has done this had

covered their scent well."

"You didn't find any fur or anything in her claws?" meowed Blackclaw this time.

"Shadepelt was killed from behind," Mudfur spoke up this time. "Meaning that it was a surprise attack, it was a single blow that killed her, a torn out throat, she did not have any way to defend herself."

More outrage rippled through the Clan. "That mouse couldn't face her so they had to kill her

from behind. The coward!" Angry remarks about how Shadepelt was killed towards the murderer

was thrown around. Morningbreeze agreed that it was cowardly to kill someone in such a

manner such as a sneak attack. 'Like how Tigerclaw killed Redtail.' once again, Morningbreeze tried to shake that thought away.

"What do we do now, Crookedstar?" meowed the only remaining apprentice, Mosspaw, from where she sat next to her mentor.

"No one is to go out alone." Crookedstar meowed. "The camp will be guarded both day and night by a rotation of warriors, two at a time. Apprentices may only go out with warriors. The more vulnerable. Such as queens, kits and elders will remain in camp till this killer is caught."

Morningbreeze could sense Silverstream's dismay at being stuck in camp for an unforeseeable

period of time. "Well all be sure to keep a look out on patrol and hunting and Oakheart will

assemble a team to try and hunt down this killer. So until we find who has done this and have ended them. Remain vigilant and safe."

Once the announcement was over cats broke up and began muttering amongst themselves.

"This is awful." Silverstream exclaimed, sharing a look with Morningbreeze.

"I wonder who could have done it." Morningbreeze muttered, and once again her mind went back to a certain ThunderClan warrior who might still be plotting to take over ThunderClan right this second.
