A/N; Here it is. The chapter I know will cause a few moans and groans. I have already fished ch12 though, and I will step back for a week or two to finish up the Sins Forgiveness's next chapter, Rework Mindful Winds, Kitsune Knight needs a follow up, and Lost Fox has earned it's continuing.

Sorry its late today, RL got im the way, thus rushed editing and such.

Chapter Ten; Books and Mice

United Kingdom; Bournemouth

The plane landed safely, and the passengers' cheers could be heard by their escorts, who went unnoticed by the regular people. However, the supernatural press showed the true toll the aircraft had taken, with numerous scorch marks along its skin. No breaches, though. The Daily Prophet had a picture of the craft, along with its escorts, on their front page, with the headline "Dark Forces Ambushed Plane" in big bold letters, followed by "Allied Easterners Fought Back" with a zoomed-in picture of Naruto talking with none other than Ronald Weasley. (Probably breaks continuity, save it. I don't really know much about HP, so bear with me.) His group sigil was in clear focus.

On the ramp where the aircraft was towed, Naruto, Irina, Mio, and Maya were standing with Ronald Weasley, Gary Neville, David Collinwood, and Bill Capibara. Ron leaned over to gain Naruto's attention, "Thanks for the assist there, mate. Would've been real different if something were to happen to these folk."

"Do not mention it. As I said… we had a stake in this too." Naruto responded with a shrug. "Oh, and…" the ginger leans in further, "…sorry 'bout Gary. He's a bit slow on the uptake."

"Oi, I heard that Ron."

"Bet you did, you fanny," Ron quipped, and the boys all chuckled, but Naruto was unamused. As the passengers continued to be led away, Ron mustered the courage to ask, glancing back at the three girls standing with the man, "Say, how do you keep them…" gesturing with his eyes at his female companions, "…you know… happy?"

"Happy?" Naruto raised an amused brow. "Yeah… I mean… they seem like cool girls and all, but they seem more than a little happy to be around you. So, help a lad out?" Naruto leaned in, lowering his voice to barely a whisper. "I am only dating the red head. What do you want me to say, exactly?"

"'You know…' Ron sighs, glancing around. His three friends chat among themselves, occasionally shooting glances at Naruto's team, who are murmuring among themselves. '…I have a girlfriend. Hermione Granger. She's a real upper-class bookworm. She's muggle-born, but I don't really care about all that, right?'"

"…right…" Naruto tried to get to the bottom of this. "…Well, I kinda ran out on our date night when the call came in from the fellas."

"Did you at least leave a note?" Naruto mutters. With a scrunched face and a shake of his head, Naruto sighs, "Dude. You done fucked up."

"Exactly! Just…"

"Okay… I get what you're asking," Naruto halted him mid-step, and as he was feeling somewhat generous, plus, as he said, he had to help a brother out, "so, for a favor later on, I can have you covered and forgiven." The intense gaze from the young wizard sharpened to a hopeful level, "You mean it?"

"Would you do me a favor?" Naruto offered his hand for a shake. Ron took it and shook it, saying, "For a favor."

"Good."

"…for reference…" Ron holds out a fist, bringing back memories of a time forgotten, "…we tend to fist bump here." Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Naruto bumps his fist against Ron's, and the two nod. Naruto then begins channeling his magic, cupping his hands together. The wizards watch in interest, not having seen eastern magic before nor magic this intense, with a soft blue glow coming from within. As it dies down, Naruto parts his hands, revealing a beautifully crystal blue, expertly shaped octahedron. He places it into Ron's open hand. "Blimey… how'd you do that?"

"Magic," Naruto chuckled along with the others. Ron smirked at him, "You Easterners aren't bad…"

"Likewise," Naruto responded with a nod. Ron clapped his upper arm with a nod in return. "Just so you know… after you get that hooked into a jewellery piece, channel your magic to harden and activate its secret."

"Secret?"

"Yeah. It will always lead the wearer to its gifter, and the gifter will always know where the wearer is." Naruto explained, earning a smile from the teen. "I could kiss ya, mate."

"Rather, I'd prefer you didn't." Naruto took a step back, leaning away from the ginger.

After retrieving their stuff from the plane, including their remaining teammates, Naruto's party left through the secret entrance reserved for magicians, which is when their customs officers were alerted to their true natures. When Naruto stepped through the machine, alarms rang as his dark-aligned magic was considered a threat, and they asked him to raise his hands. "Typical," he murmured, growling at the mages who actually think they could hold him. "What is the meaning of this?" one asks as Ron's group watches on confused. "The meaning of what?" Naruto asks, confused. "Your magic is dark and off the charts."

"'Well, if you're comparing me against your own magical levels then yes. I was born with three times your combined amount.' Naruto admits openly with a shrug. 'Why are you here? To join the dark army?' Ron snorted at that, startling the two officers. 'Mate, he and his group just wiped out like forty of 'em. Trust us. If he wanted it, he'd have wiped us out before willingly following us, ya donut.'"

"Finally, someone speaking sense," Naruto mumbled in Italian. Xenovia's mouth twitched something fierce. "Then… why are you here?"

"Attend university. That's all." Naruto sighed again, "University? You mean…?"

"Literally just wanted to come through legal means so you all know that we are not here to cause trouble. I could have just flown in, teleported, heck, I could have ridden in on the back of a fucking dragon, but no. I wanted to ease tensions by doing this like regular folk."

"Told ya so…" Yuma mumbled, and Naruto would have glared at her if these magic users weren't so tigger happy right now. "Just let them in fo' fucksake." Nevil spoke like it was obvious, his fellow wizards nodding along "We ain't got all day man…"

The two customs officials nodded, looked at one another, and nodded, lowering their wands. This earned a sigh from Naruto, "Troublesome."

After that fiasco was done with, the customs officials were further shocked by the magical reserves of the other members of Naruto's party. Ron escorted them outside, where their quarry was waiting. "Sure you won't help us from here?" Ron turned back to face Naruto's party. "We're heading in different directions." Naruto shrugged. "Besides, there's no benefit for us to do so."

"Fair point," Ron nods, before offering a fist. "If you're ever in town and looking for a good drink and food…"

"See you later," Naruto said, bumping fists with the wizards and Ministry of Magic agents, who nodded in return. "Thanks again," he added as their party took off on their broomsticks. Maya was the first to break the growing silence. "I still find it hilarious that they need brooms to fly," she said, earning snickers from the whole group. "How emasculated do you have to be to fly on wooden sticks?" Maya commented. "Weird," Shirone added. Naruto turned to them and said, "We better get moving too. Cambridge is due north."

"Captain, what's the plan?" Xenovia asks promptly, always in business mode unless at home, so it's to be expected. "Shirone flies with Mio, Yuma with Maya, and Xenovia with me."

"Why is this happening?" Mio pouted, not liking the idea of her only rival in the chest area spending time pressed up against her man. "Xenovia has the most weighted gear. I have the most wings and the greatest lift capacity, so I would be able to maintain higher speeds without being affected by the increased load," Naruto countered with a raised brow. The red head grumbled about smart fiancés and glared at him.

As they mounted up and took flight, they were unaware of the small creature that had spotted them after their exit and, upon orders from its master, followed them.

United Kingdom; Undisclosed Location

The master was watching from her feed, as Naruto's team watched the wizardry teams depart and their subsequent discussion. When the name 'Cambridge' came up, she smiled, her greenish blonde hair shimmered as her red eyes narrowed, "Most interesting; they are coming here. Perhaps securing an alliance with him may just fall into my lap?" She adjusted her glasses, as she turned back towards her queen and butler, "Alivian, please prepare the guest house for at least six guests."

"Right away, my lady." The human-form dragon bowed as he left. "I hope I don't make a fool of myself like Rias-chan did. First impressions are important after all." He looked back at the monitor, watching as his familiar followed the new arrivals flying their way, before getting up and heading out. They would need directing after all.

United Kingdom; Skies West of Oxford

Naruto and his party are coasting along the designated flight lanes the magicians told them about, and according to the map, "You're lost, aren't you…" Mio quipped at her fiancé, glaring at him, but he looked back, pointing to Xenovia on his back, "She's the one with the map. I'm following her instructions."

She can't read English, remember?

"'She said she would be fine,' Naruto responded calmly, completely opposite to his lustful partner. 'I trust her.' Xenovia smiles softly at that before spotting Blenheim Palace off to their right, finding it on the map she now had a relative position. 'We should cut Northeast over that mansion-like place,' Xenovia orders, and Naruto nods before banking softly and steadily. They weren't in a rush or anything right now."

Xenovia continued to study the map as they closed in on the landmark, her legs wrapped around her captain's stomach, between his first and second wing roots, as if saddling him. "How much longer?" Mio complained, and Naruto sighed. She only got like this when she was bored or horny. She was mostly both right now. "Depends. Do we want to cause confusion and chaos in the local lookouts by darting across the sky?"

"With all the tension?" Irina comments. "Bad idea."

"Besides, no one wants to see you plop about the airspace with your sloppy flying." Maya comments, aimed at Mio who scowled at her, "Any time, any place… I'll outfly you a thousand times."

"Enough," Naruto ordered with a little more force than he intended, glancing back at the two in question with a glare. "For once, just once, can you two be civil? Once we get there, you can do whatever the hell you want, but for the love of the log…" He paused upon sensing a pulsating magical signature up ahead. Turning forward, his eyes narrowed. This signature was devil in origin and clearly, they were signaling to them. "Contact front."

The formation changed immediately, with Naruto at the head, Irina behind and slightly ajar to the top, Maya to the left, and Mio to the right. The bickering was all but forgotten. "What are we dealing with, Captain?" Yuma asked, knowing he had the greatest range. "Signatures of a Devil in nature. High-class. It's unfamiliar."

"A new face then." Yuma surmises for the group. Whilst trying to identify this beacon, he senses sharpen and finally picks up their tail, snapping his head back, "We have a tail. Small. Keeping distance."

"Could they be deceiving your senses?" Maya asks, but Naruto shakes his head in the negative. "Only if someone truly has no emotion, then maybe, but their intent can never truly vanish."

"…a friend?" Xenovia asks hesitantly. "No…" Shirone chimes in, "…just not enemy."

Shirone is right. They may not have negative or hostile intent, but we should remain vigilant. They are clearly seeking our attention and now they have it.

"Shirone's right. They may not have negative or hostile intent, but we should remain vigilant. They are clearly seeking our attention and now they have it."

It took the flight to arrive in the field near a small village of Worminghall, where the pulsating devil magic was coming from. Giving the village a wide berth to avoid attention, Naruto's party did a flyover and circled the lone woman watching them. Upon Naruto's purple eyes meeting her red ones, her magic ceased to cycle, and she took flight to join them after their first circle. Naruto, with Xenovia on his back, dropped down out of the formation, which maintained altitude just in case, and joined her wing. "Naruto Leviathan. My name is Seekvar Agares. I wish to invite you to stay at my home."

"…oh, and why is a high-class devil, under the new faction, wishing to house a known and considered enemy of said faction?" Naruto asked with a brow raised. She offered a soft smile, "Well, actually, you are a bit of a hero to me, to be honest." This wasn't what he was expecting. "Being truly independent from any ties and doing as you wish. It is something I wish I could do."

"Is that so?"

"It is." Adjusting her glasses, "I am sure you are acutely aware of your position within our race currently, and yes, no doubt my family would no doubt sing praises if I was to ally with you." This was a risky move on her part and she knew but she felt that being truthful about her intentions, unlike Rias, would be the best thing to do here, "…but I do not care for that. I wish to help you. Me. Not the Agares clan as a whole but me as Seekvaira."

Naruto looked and studied her. Her words matched her intent, and she hadn't lied or tried to deceive them. He glanced at his passenger, who looked at him and nodded. "Very well. Where are you housed?"

"I am currently studying at Cambridge University." She held out her hand, and the small tail began to retract. Naruto's eyes narrowed. "I overheard you mention it as my familiar was investigating the magic off the coast and came across you. So, I decided to make contact with you and offer you sanctuary in my manor."

Well, at least she's being truthful and upfront about her intentions. "I see. Very well. Lead on." He then climbed back up and into formation. Seekvaira followed him up, taking the lead position ahead of Naruto, adjusting their heading. "Captain?" Yuma asks. "She's offering us lodging and reached out to us of her own violation. I am giving her this chance," Naruto informed, getting nods from the group and a huff from Mio. Her silent disagreement was noted.

United Kingdom; Seekvaira's Manor

Seekvaira led the flight directly to her home. The grounds were isolated, and Naruto noted how calm and well-kept it was. There was a minor barrier, more for detection than defence. However, the place was large for just one person. "Do you live here alone?"

"'I have my own butler, Alivian. I'll introduce you to him… oh, there he is. Follow me.' Their host reported, leading them towards the outhouse. The others did a slow, deliberate circuit around, which confused the girl who had landed before her servant. 'Where are they going?'"

"Milady, they are giving you a chance to explain and introduce your arrival and prove your lack of hostility." Alivian explained a rule of the skies, much to her confusion, "Couldn't they have just joined me?"

"An old custom among avian species is to give plenty of warning when approaching another's home, showing they mean no harm. I must admit that I am rather impressed that this generation of devils know of it." The dragon nodded and explained further, "I see. Perhaps I should read up on these things too. Showing respect is a must for positive relations."

"May I be so bold as to suggest that I write down these customs, and perhaps your guest could assist in this endeavor?"

"Sounds good. Ah, here they come." Straightening her attire as Naruto and his party return around, coming in with a flare, and touching down gracefully, earning a respectful nod of recognition from the butler. Naruto returns the gesture as the passengers dismount. "May I fold in my wings?" Seekvaira was about to dismiss it but pauses, looking to her butler who nods and steps forward. "You may, and we welcome you to the Seekvaria Estates." Bowing formally, Naruto folds his wings in, the others following in short order before bowing back. "Thank you for having us."

"Everyone must be hungry. I have prepared a feast for your consumption. Would you prefer to eat now, or perhaps be shown to your quarters?" Naruto looks at his party, who shrug, and he turns back to their hosts, "Quarters first. Food second."

"Very well." Alivian nods, before turning to the lady of the land. "I have prepared the outhouse as instructed."

"Outhouse?" Naruto arched a curious brow. The greenish blonde nodded. "I thought you would want your privacy. I am an unknown to you all after all." Offering a soft smile, he said, "I did not wish to make you feel uncomfortable here. I truly meant what I said."

Naruto nodded. "I see."

Seekvaria Estate; Outhouse

Seekvaira led the team to their building, which was a respectable two-story house, linked by walkway to the main house off to the side, and to the main gate and garage ahead. The white stone pathway gave it the elegance of high-class establishments common in the country. The grass was perfectly trimmed, and the flowerbeds were blooming beautifully. It was a picturesque, quintessential upper-class estate if ever there was one. The only thing missing was… "…the garage, which contains an assortment of cars. Though, I suspect that you do not require them. Should that change, and I am free of obligations, feel free to call upon my services."

"'I'll keep that in mind,' Naruto spoke as they entered the abode. 'Welcome to your home away from home,' Seekvaira comments, unbeknownst to those walking through the ever-elegant oak doors."

United Kingdom; University Campus

Three months later…

Xenovia dropped down on the table and bench combo, sighing as she pulled out her history book and placed it down on the table. She finally met the stares of the two occupants. "Long lecture?" Naruto asked, amused, as he continued to sip his coffee. Xenovia glared at him. "You think?"

You've done well, considering how much you've crammed in such a short amount of time. It is rather commendable. Seekvaria adds, earning a nod from Naruto, who's disguise this time around is rather bland, black hair tied in a low dragon tail, his frameless glasses cover his blue eyes but give him a sophisticated style that now perfectly matches their hosts. "We're not here for your technique, Captain..." Xenovia adjusts her own glasses, her blue hair turned a dim blonde, eyes as blue as the sky, "...I doubt I'd keep up."

"Ah, the wonders of Shadows…" Naruto commented, placing down his cup. His fine tailored suit was revealed to his subordinate. "I am glad the new gear works as intended."

"I must admit you surprised me with your inventiveness," Seekvaira adds, placing down her tea and looking over her own lecture notes. "That technique of yours is truly groundbreaking."

"…and all ours." Xenovia quipped as she sat up straight, flipping open her book to the bookmarked page. "Latin is my only saving grace. I speak it better than my professor."

"Spoken so much like one of the church's loyal minions," Seekvaira comments, her hair in public a solid muted blonde thanks in part to Naruto's disguise seal she has on a bracelet, her red gaze turned to a more innocent blue, but their sharpness remained. "I left, remember?" Xenovia comments with a gaze so sharp, it would have wounded a lesser being. "True. Though by choice?"

"Stop it, you two," Naruto sighed, finishing his own work and putting it away in his bag. "The last thing we want is those rich pretty boys hearing you argue again. I swear, by the log, they are like homing pigeons when you argue." Both girls shudder at the thought of those unwanted advances. Just thinking about the arrogance the five stooges exude makes the ladies feel dirty and tainted. "They never bothered me before you two got here. I wonder what changed."

"I think that Harry mentioned it in passing." Naruto spoke with his eyes fixed on the ceiling, "What was it again…?"

"Lady Agares was the untouchable flower, beyond mortal coil, until the garden of Persephone reached its branches to allow a mere mortal glimpse of your smile." Xenovia scowls, recalling that ridiculous moment when Harry Boardwin had tried to serenade her and Seekvaira simultaneously. "Persephone, Captain? Couldn't I be something a bit less?"

"Nope." Naruto reached for his coffee again. "Just as I am James here. Remember the lesson I gave you back home? About blending in?"

"I do… but…"

"Persephonie is a respectable name," Seekvaira comments offhandedly as she looks down the hall and spots the encroaching douchebag quintuplets. "Though, it seems trouble is afoot." She draws her two friends' attention to the approaching group of rowdy men, earning a tired sigh from Naruto and a scowl from Xenovia. "Here we go again…" the lone male grumbles.

The group stopped before the two ladies, about to begin their customary courtship, when Naruto coughed gently into his hand, drawing their eyes to him. "Gentlemen, are we going to have another talk?" Everyone nearby stopped and watched, a collective flinch felt, prayers sent, as when James Agares had a talk with you, you wouldn't be able to sit right for a week. There was no evidence as to what happened, and nothing was ever proven, but no one was under any delusions that he was the culprit. Just that he was so polite and respectful to all until you showed him, or his friends, disrespect, then you became a target. No one is safe; no amount of money will protect you from his wrath. Class doesn't factor; he will and can get you.

The five boys gulped, his piercing blue eyes fixed on them like he was daring them to say the wrong thing and give him a reason. Give him a reason. Not willing to risk a third strike against them, their parents would disown them, all five continued walking not looking back "Chickens." Naruto muttered just loud enough to be heard; their pride wanted to react, but previous trauma kept their feet moving.

When they were gone, Seekvaria gave a wary look to Naruto, who was hiding a very well-concealed evil smirk behind his coffee sip, and said, "What the hell did you do to get such a reaction?"

"Nothing you can prove." Naruto stated softly as to be only audible to her, her voice level matches here taking full advantage of their devil senses, "You are going to have to teach me how you do that." Using her own tea cup to hide her lips moving, "Perhaps… we'll see…" Naruto responds as he sips, "in other news… have you sensed them?"

"Yes. Why do you think I pointed out Xenovia's previous allegiance?" Seekvaira stated earning a contemplative hum from him, "Let's take a wait and see approach. They can't see through our disguises, so we are safe. For now."

"I understand." Lowering her cup as he swirls the last within his cup. "Finished!" Declared Xenovia, taking up her own cup, downing it as she stood, "I'll hand this in and come back and we can head home."

"We'll wait here." Seekvaria comments as Xenovia quick steps away, back to her lecturer's office to hand in her Latin assignment.

Seekvaria glances at Naruto who nodded subtly as the suspects move to intercept Xenovia, and as a group of students pass the two devils, they vanish from their seats.

Leaving the office of her elated lecturer, who always seemed to enjoy her work, Xenovia slings her bag over her back as she proceeds to return to her friends. As she turns onto the next hallway she notices the lack of traffic, a magic barrier she noticed as she looked around to find the ones responsible for it. Eyes harden as she looked around the seemingly empty halls when her trained hearing picked up muttering in Latin, "The holy son is the daughter in hiding,"

"She shall lead us…"

"They shall not be forgotten."

"We shall follow to slay the snake that engulfs the world."

"What the hell?" Xenovia mutters beneath her breath, just as turns back the way she came to see a pair of full pay armoured knights, looking fresh for a crusade, blocking the hall behind her, "Who are you?" Despite her English improving, her northern Italian accent was thick, but they didn't reply instead brandishing their swords. Leaping back, reaches for her back where her handle will appear once she calls upon her sword, "I ask again…"

"You are the one we seek." A voice from behind her, she didn't sense till now as she ducks and in a puff of smoke Durandal within hand as finds herself surrounded on both sides by these knights, a pastor like man where she once stood, "…and you are?"

"By the grace of God… to think, I'd be blessed enough to be in the presence of Durandal. You are truly the sister we seek."

"You never answered my question." Xenovia so being done with this, seems Naruto's zero tolerance for bullshit is rubbing off on her, "Forgive me, sister. I am pastor Nick and must implore that you come with us."

"I am not going anywhere…" Xenovia muttered back with eyes narrowing, "I have a feeling Yuma is going to make fun of me for this." She whispered in Italian to herself, "Who is this Yuma you speak of? Another sister perhaps?" Pastor Nick questioned shocking Xenovia, not that she let that show, "Save it for someone who cares. Last warning – leave." Xenovia orders but he just offered a smile, "Very well. My paladins will escort you to your new chambers." He waved a hand, and the armoured men stalk forward from both sides, she overhears Nick performing a pray for her safety.

She turns to face the one at her back, charging forward, before leaping onto the wall, two steps then off and would have gone over if there wasn't another four behind the first two. A slight shift on the ball of her feet as she brings down her blade on the first two breaking their swords and shattering their shields without harming the people themselves, batting them aside with the flat side.

Creaking armour from behind but before she can rise to meet them head on, "Need a hand?" Causing her to smile, "Thank you captain." Abruptly the two at her rear were cut through, swords and shields shattered, armour sliced clean off but the men within left unharmed as Naruto appeared sliding to Xenovia's back, the swordswoman standing up to meet him. "Yuma isn't going to shut about this, you know?"

"I do." Xenovia sighs, "They are of the church, be careful Captain."

"I got your back, always, lieutenant." Naruto jokes and she smiles at that, first time he's retorted with a title, and she's cool with that.

"Kill the interloper. Take our sister." Nick orders and the paladins all charge, and Naruto glances down each side of the cross junction they stood in, more paladins, "Well, guess it's time for our trump card…" he muttered, and much to Xenovia's surprise everything froze, like time itself had slowed significantly yet she was unaffected, "Being called a trump card makes me feel like a simple tool." Xenovia noticed Seekvaria's behind a nearby pillar, "Sorry. This will be over in a second then I'll make it up to you."

"Another gift? Then it's fine then." She waved them off despite not being in view, "I can't hold this for long so don't hang around talking." The two moved on that, Xenovia cutting through the northern group, swords and armour alike shredded apart, Naruto handled the southern approach before regrouping in the centre, and just as they charged, time returned to normal, and the duo made quick work of the remaining paladins.

Glancing back, Nick was gone but Naruto was tracking him, "So… should we…?"

"In for a pound…" Seekvaria shrugs s they both look to Xenovia, who shrugs, "We should nip this in the bud before it becomes a long-winded affair."

"Right. Let's go."

United Kingdom; Cambridge town centre

Mio, Maya, and Shirone were out shopping for lady items on the nice day within the shooing district. As white hair was uncommon, Shirone was masked as Maya's daughter, her features holding resemblance to the fallen angel, at least in colour. Mio was looking at a Victoria secrets shop, her friends at the sixth form she attended swore by it and as they entered one of the shop venders seemed to be a little young for such an establishment.

"Umm, Mio… we'll head to the café we saw down the road. Catch up when your done." Maya comments to which a giddy Mio nodded and waved them off but Shirone noticed a smell of a demon that wasn't Mio in the shop. As they walked away, a brief smell of a dragon caught her nose. She was familiar with dragons, Issei had it and when they last saw one another it was rather potent around his left arm. "Maya… I smell dragon." This froze the carefree persona of the fallen who glanced around, "Can you traced it?"

"I think so." Shirone comments but Maya frowned, "We should wait for Mio. I'll send a message to…"

"It's gone." Shirone frowned as she looked around, not seeing anything or anyone acting suspiciously but that man who entered the alleyway. She can't smell him. "I think we have trouble."

With Mio…

After picking out a pair of black lace panties and bra combo, with quick release clip on the front, she was about to head to pay for them when "Nuruse Mio." Froze her stiff, turning to the voice she spots a young-looking girl, no – "A succubus, huh? What are you doing here?"

"The moderate needs your help. If you don't…"

"Not intreasted. There is a reason I've been…"

"Our mother needs us!" That froze the desigused redhead, looking at this succubus dead in the eye with so much rage, it startled the half demon, "Our… mother…?"

"Yes. Let me introduce myself…" curtsy cutely, head lowered "…my name is Nuruse Maria. Your half sister."

"I see. So when you say our mother, you really mean yours, right?"

"Well…"

"I am starting to understand why husband-to be gets annoyed so easily with these word games." Mio sighed looking at them small girl, "Look, Maria or whatever… I am not interested in whatever is happening back in."

"The heroes will come for you. They know you're here." Maria reveals and Mio snorts, "So? Let them come. They won't stand against my friends and I."

"Don't you get it! You are the key to peace! We need you to…"

"Enough! I've made my choice. Deal with it." Just as she turned, she came with a middle-aged man with spiky brown hair over brown eyes, "Hey there little missy… gonna need you for just a sec…" holding up a topaz jewel, that glowed for a long second, "Huh?"

United Kingdom; Cambridge Outskirts

Xenovia finds herself standing before a church, her two devil friends at her side both feeling the power of the place warning them from going any further. "Irina isn't responding." Naruto mumbles after signalling their other light sided friend, "Yuma isn't either." Seekvaira comments dropping her phone back into her pocket, "I may be on good terms with Three of the top brass, but stepping on holy ground is a bit…" Naruto trailed off and Xenovia nods in understanding, "Sorry captain. For dragging this out."

"It's stupid to follow an enemy somewhere they have a home field advantage, more so alone. Come on. Let's go." Naruto orders and the three head off, neither noticing the man septa ding atop the clock tower watching them whilst casually leaning against the white wall. Narrowing his eyes on the male of the group, he leaves as the boy snapped back to look at his previous position with narrowed eyes, "What is it…?"

"Trouble." Naruto murmured as the others follow his gaze, "I think I need to talk to Alivian when we get back."

"Alivian? Why?" Seekvaria asks confused as they entered a side street, out of view of the general populace, "We possibly have a scaly problem." His words as the three vanish to their headquarters, the outhouse.

United Kingdom: Seekvaria's Estate

Yuma was very amused right now, looking at the glares from her fellows as numerous things seemed to have happened all at once and now it seemed there are at least two side quests active at the moment. Oh yes, she amused, and everyone knew she was thus the glares.

"So…" Yuma from her sofa seat, her tail tip flicking up and down, "Unknown paladins…" looking at Xenovia who was blank faced, eyebrow twitching somewhat at the amusement within her tone, "…and a suspected dragon within town, then at the church…" looking from Xenovia to Shirone and Maya then to her captain, "Sounds like troubles found us again."

"It does indeed." Naruto from the sofa next to her, the dull yellow leather was something he wouldn't personally choose but, he was no expert "So, what do you plan to do Captain?"

"Well, Seekvaria, Shirone, Mio, nor I can help much with the Paladins as long as they remain within holy grounds. I can't get in contact with Irina nor Raphael so that option is out. That leaves only you and Maya to aid in that endeavour." Naruto explained that which most agreed with "Close quarters is a bit…" Maya speaking up earning a frown from their leader, "Right. Fallen normally fight from range – I forgot."

"Then the dragon…?" Shirone asks to which Naruto nods, "I don't have much work for tomorrow's university classes. I'll have a clones take my place and go patrol in full combat gear. If anyone comes across it or feels in danger. Signal me." As he said that, he senses Mio's fear spike, but makes no comment on it, instead resolving to talk to her about it tomorrow "I will go with you." Shrione states earning a nod from Naruto, "Same." Maya shrugs "Better than my shift at the bakery. I call in sick."

"No. We'll need to rotate. Keep it with you but go to work." Naruto orders to which she sighs and nods, "Anything else?" With the responses he nods and climbs to his feet, "Okay. Let's go eat."

That night in Naruto and Mio's room, the devil was checking on his seals in his gear and adjusting for what he suspects is a human form dragon. The tend to have supreme levels of raw strength, safe bet for blunt force strikes. His chest piece was being given anti-crush seals to protect his heart, shoulders being swapped out for the same. As he sat at the coffee table, Mio was already in the bed watching him, "I don't think you should fight that dragon."

"A threat to the family, is a threat that I should confront as head of the family." Naruto responds without turning to her. Silence began to develop again before he sighs, putting down his shoulder armour, "What's wrong with you? You're being hesitant and kind of distant." Seeing those purple orbs filled with concern she ponders before steeling herself, "Where do you see us in five years?" Naruto thought on the question seriously. To be honest, ever since he was first set on the world, he's wanted a lot of things. Life kept throwing plenty of curve balls though, first it was simple survival then raising his sister, then going to school, now he's skipped that and in university.

One thing he is certain about is… he stands up, and heads to the wardrobe, rummaging through his clothes before retrieving a box, "You know… I never thought much on it. I admit." He finally turned around and she saw it. Her heart sank. The absolute worst thing to present to her right now. Sensing her rapidly shifting emotions, Naruto frowned internally but instead of giving it to her, he placed it on the draws, "It's too early for this." It was a beautiful ebony ring, a crystal blue diamond beside a red sapphire, "…but I hope one day… you will put this on and you can call upon me whenever you miss me." The smile he gave her was so beautifully serine, so sweet and filled with warming love, that it would haunt her well until she is old and grey.

United Kingdom; Cambridge Air Space

Three days. It's been three days since the problems all surfaced at it's been all quiet with no sign of either the dragon or the knights. Naruto was on patrol duty this time, Seekvaria joining him, and besides a single wizard shoot out, nothing seemed to be amiss.

Gliding in next to him, Seekvaira's four wings slot in between his six as she spoke, "It is strange. Everything kicked off at once then nothing right after. It doesn't make sense."

"Yeah. It doesn't." Naruto clearly distracted, he's been like this a lot recently, Seekvaria had noticed and tried to engage a bit more, "Say, Naruto-kun, what's it like… being untied to anyone?" Naruto looked to her, "being able to go anywhere and everywhere. No strings holding you in place. To be able to pick where you want to go on a map."

"Terrifying." Naruto spoke frankly causing her to freeze as she looked at him, "Being free is all well and good but isn't very practical for most. Almost all in fact." He looks forward to the horizon, "Freedom has a cost. If you get sick, you are on your own, if you get hurt, you are on your own, lost, you are on your own, in trouble, on your own." He looks back her deadly serious, "I don't really know what I am doing these days. I have no idea what I am doing next week, the week after, nor the month after. Truth be told, I am terrified every time I awake." He takes a breath, "Being untied let's you loose in the stream of life with nothing to stabilise you nor anchor you to reality. At any moment, you can be sucked into something with no lifeline to pull you back out. I, an experiment, was unleashed without rhyme or reason and I am honestly terrified because of that same reason." Looking back forward, he takes a shuddering breath and spoke with a tight throat, "All I have is my family. That's why I travel and fight tooth and nail to protect them. I came here to try cool off from the attention we were getting back in Japan and look how it turned out," he chuckled with a hollowed undertone, it creeped Seekvaria out realising that the only truly 'free devil' was even more laden than he was.

"So, when you ask me, 'What it's like to be free?' How the hell am I supposed to…" as he looks to her, he jolts over and yanks her clear of a flung, van? They two tumble through the air before she finally retracts her wings, and he catches her and stabilised. Crash. Looking back, he sees a ford sprinter in a random field. Following its trajectory, he spots a figure on a roof waving at him. It was a clear taunt. He knew it. They knew it. Seekvaria knew it. They had little choice though. Who the hell throws an innocent van though?

Flying towards the figure, they take off towards, "They're heading towards our manor!"

"Can you fly?" Naruto asked and she nods, he drops her, and her wings shoot out and the two blast off. This has trap oozing off it. It stunk.

United Kingdom; Seekvaria's Estate

Just as Naruto and Seekvaria arrive at the estate the garage and out house erupt in flames, the latter collapsing in on itself, as Xenovia and Maya fight back to back against members of the Hero faction, "By the Satans…" Seekvaria gasped but Naruto just growled, rasenshurkin burst to life in his hands, throwing them as soon as he forms them. The initial wave surprised everyone clearing large swathes of the enemies' numbers out, the second volley scattered and shredded bulk of what's next. The third was out of anger for the fuck of it.

Suddenly time stopped, a reflex of Seekvaria power when directly put in danger, and Naruto looks to her to see a middle-aged man, shabby brown hair, brown eyes, grinning like a battle junky. Naruto hated those types. No talking sense into them. He smelt of dragon though so this was his opponent then, "Seekvaria. Go join up with Maya, and the others. Stick with them. This is my fight."

"Okay. Be careful." She flies off and after she was out of harms way, time returned and Naruto landed a sweet roundhouse, that was blocked? "How?" eyes wide, Naruto muttered but he smirked, "Your fast kid…" leg grabbed before being flung at the ground, "But there is always someone faster." Naruto's wings slowed his decent, unfortunately his enemy pummelled him for that, forcing a crater to form. The man lands casually, "You devils are all the…" he pauses, sensing the power up and a grin crosses his face, "…I stand corrected. You are unique among your kind."

The dust cloud is blown apart, revealing a full sage mode Naruto, purple markings vibrating with the world's heartbeat, his chest plate barely hanging on, his left shoulder shattered, and claws out as he growls "A sage huh? That's new." Both men vanish, clashing in the centre, arm against arm, Naruto moved as fast as he could, as much power, but every attack was perfectly blocked, and countered his reactions was working overtime to block or evade, those fists were bad news. "Not bad kiddo." The man chuckled, clearly not even showing much effort in this fight, "Your better than some of the demon lords if gone up against." He catches both of Naruto's hands, smirking, "You've seen your fair share a of wars. I can see it in your eyes, your fighting style… you are a warrior. Strange. A warrior sage?" Naruto unleashes a null breath of absolute zero, forcing his assailant, to leap clear.

Naruto flows his chakras through his wrists, healing the hairline fracture he can feel, more nature energy flowing through up from the surroundings, "Very good, you are an impressive fighter for one so young…" Naruto senses something troubling, Yuma's signature is still within the collapsed house, Mio was with two unknown signatures heading toward the "Never loose focus…" Naruto dodged the man's round house, absentmindedly deflected his two jabs, side stepped his uppercut. When he saw what he was dreading, Mio was holding the door for the heroes who had "My seals…" growling so deeply that it travelled "Those things are useful. We'll need to burrow them." The man smiles but Naruto's wrath had never, and has never been this high, so high that he was sure that his sister could sense it.

The whole battle dropped to their knees, the level of killing intent and malice unleashed by Naruto even made his opponent take steps back, birds nearby died of heart attacks, small critters too. He was betrayed, she had been distant sure but… he let out a roar that he was sure Kurama could have heard, the pure lands must have heard as the ground itself back to rumble in response to his rage.

The amount of natural energy in his system now caused cracks in his skin, purple glow emanating from them, his heart shut to what was to happen now, his mind of a shinobi was all that was left. Looking at his opponent with a truly blank face, Naruto did one hand sign, and a massive wave of chakra was sent out and when it came into contact with the two duffel bags, a very noteworthy hissing could be made out. Those near enough to them to hear. Scurried away from. Boom. More heroes dead.

Ducking the first punch, right into a knee, Naruto was than kicked in the side, his ribs shattered, skipping across the destruction and death, he flips, wings out ducking aside he throws a series of jabs blocked before side shifting, his shoulder narrowly took the hit but he breathes out a massage wave of absolute zero.

The second he stopped he got kneed in the gut, "Nasty attack that…" as he hovered in mid air, he took several more jabs in the stomach before a round house, shattering the last of his armour, and sending him onto the white stone gravel. The nature energy was the only thing that saved him then. Now. It had faded. He had no power left as he laid upon the ground without any strength. Being pulled up by his ruined undershirt, he comes face to face with the enemy who had a serious face, "You interfered in my plans for a peaceful future. Took me a while to find you but I did. I was going to just take Mio and leave but she told us about your seals. Thought we could take them as compensation." He frowns, "Seemed you were more crafty than that. So now, that you are successfully tamed, you are going to come with us and make more for us."

Despite everything, Naruto gripped the man's arm, weakly but grabbed "My… fam…"

"I won't touch them." The man confirms and Naruto fell limp.

With the withdrawal of the Hero forces, Naruto's shadow clone appeared from the shadows and ran to the wounded Maya and Xenovia, "Guys!"

"Naruto!"

"Just a clone. I don't have long. Guys, Yuma is still in there!" Pulling out a hasatily sketched piece of paper, "Her life force isn't looking too good. At least one life threatening…" he popped before he could finish.

Hero Faction; Unknown cell

"I know you had a thing with him, but I don't advise this."

"I know Jin-san, but I need to explain. This is for peace for both worlds. He will understand." The two figures come to an end before a chained figure in the last cell, the light showed a beaten body hanging there, his silver bangs covering his face, "Naruto-kun… I need you to wake up…"

"So… the betrayer returns…" he chuckles sinisterly, completely unlike him, and it broke the demonesses heart to see him this way, "…what is it now? You want me to save you again? Kukuku… fat chance…"

"Don't make me come in their devil-scum!"

"Hahahaha… you still don't get it… do you? A shame… I would have thought you'd at least noticed."

"Who are you?" Mio asks narrowed eyes at the figure before her, shocking her companion who swore this was him having carried him through to their world, "Now, isn't that the questioned…. Kukuku…" lifting his head, she saw it, a simmering rage beneath hollow green eyes, "…but that doesn't matter now does it?" The psychotic grin on his face, that looked so wrong, fell into a dead serious one, "If you so much as breath the air on my world again, I will swallow you up fast your gods will not hear you scream." His head drops to the left, staring at them with a thousand-yard stare, "Understood?"

"Gaia…" Jin mumbled and the figure grinned, "Bingo! Fufufu… you managed to piss me off, dragon boy. Perhaps next time, a true dragon will show you just how dragons fight…" it growled out at the end earning a harden glare from the veteran hero, though its eyes shifted to the demoness, "You… you claim this is for peace all you want. For the greater good. No matter. I do not care. However, on this let me warn you. You took something. Something that does not belong to you. There will be consequences." With a cackle the fake Naruto crumbled into dust fading into nothingness, cackling the whole time.

"Well… that could have gone better… going back for him is way too risky if that particular goddess is involved." Looking to Mio, "Come on. We have to inform the others." Stepping off the red head stares at where the double once was, praying she made the right choice.

United Kingdom; Seekvaria's Estate

Just as they got Yuma out from the collapsed building the sound of shifting gravel could be heard, and Xenovia gripping her blade with her good arm watches as Naruto appeared from beneath the ground he fell after the hero god smacked him about, banged up but there and breathing, "Captain!" Rushing to his side, and he peaked an eye open, "I… Yuma…?"

"We got her…" the bluenette whispered and he blinked at nodded minutely at that, "Mi…o…"

"Betrayed us. We know." Xenovia sniffled, tears running down her face "She said that she will bring peace for us. Begged us to understand." He nodded again, "I… sleep…?" She nodded as Seekvaria appeared in his vision, "Sleep now, Captain. We'll protect the family until you awake." The last words before black.

A/N; So i dont forget. I wrote a basic plan for the next ten chapters. This includes a three month war around Kyoto between the alliance and choas brigade, but what most are intrested about is most likely the 'Fallen led Hangover' movie that takes place between Ch 19 and 21.

Three chapters of bullshitery that may or may not include one state being firebombed and flash frozen. Another being overrun by hippies, a string of arsen attacks, a naval battle that that US navy gets caught in and several high ranking US officials get caught up in, and all the male olympians going missing for basically a full month. The Hunters become the hunted and two titans are kidnapped. Allegedly.

Dont ask. I wasnt there, and you have no proof i was and that casino has always had that rasinshurken shaped hole. It was a coincidence. Nothing more.
