City at War - Part 1
Alex and Leo were running at top speed, looks of panic on their faces.
"Have you ever realised how often it is that there never seems to be enough time? Whether it's playing video games, or hanging out with friends or family."
The two turned to see a bomb in the middle of a warehouse, with only five seconds remaining on the timer.
"Or when you're running like mad to get away from a bomb that's about to explode!"
Once the timer was finished, the bomb exploded and the shockwave from the blast sent Alex and Leo flying, screaming as they did so.
"And this all happened because of Leo's stubbornness."
The two ended up smashing through a window and fell towards the harbour just as the whole warehouse blew up. They screamed again before they hit the water.
"That very thing might end up costing us our lives."
The two started sinking in the water.
During a clear moonlit night in New York, Alex, Leo and Raph raced each other on the rooftops.
At one point, they jumped off one and landed on a lamppost in the shadows while a young couple walked along a street below.
Then they jumped onto the banner of a nearby building and jumped onto the balcony above before jumping onto the rooftop.
The trio continued jumping and running along rooftops before landing on one and ran to the edge to jump across a gap to another rooftop and continue jumping across more rooftops until they ran along a long rooftop.
The trio then jumped across and ran along two more rooftops with Leo in front, Alex in the middle and Raph bringing in the rear.
Soon, they kept going until they neared a rooftop with a billboard that advertised Bull's Eye Cola, which had a target on it.
Leo jumped ahead and landed on the rooftop with the billboard, narrowing his eyes to concentrate while touching one of his katanas.
After a few seconds, he pulled it out and somersaulted before jumping up in the air and dived for the target, hoping for a bullseye.
But he ended up stabbing his katana in the third area away from the bullseye, which he saw when he backflipped off the billboard and landed in front of it to see the result, sighing in disappointment.
He then turned to Raph when he landed on the roof.
"Leo, I don't know about all them fancy moves." Raph noted as he threw one of his sais, hitting the bullseye. He then jumped onto the ledge of the rooftop and pulled his sai out. "I prefer just getting the job done."
Alex then leapt towards him and Leo, being able to stab his katana right into the bullseye and flip off, still holding his weapon.
"Plus, you were tensed up. You gotta relax your body. Even mom knows that." He pointed out as he and Raph put their weapons away.
Leo then pulled out his katana from the billboard and looked at it.
"Master Splinter says that grace and form should flow together in beauty, creating true power." Leo argued.
"Whoa. That's a little too intense, bro." Raph said as he touched Leo's shoulder. "Like Alex said, relax a little."
He then jumped off the ledge and walked towards the edge of the rooftop, turning to Alex and Leo.
"How about a little game of Follow the Leader?" Raph suggested.
"And since when did you become leader?" Leo questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, Leo's the leader out of all of us." Alex sided with Leo.
"Since right now." Raph retorted before somersaulting towards another rooftop and ran off.
"Not for long." Leo said as he put his katana away and both he and Alex chased after Raph.
They all ran on the edge of a rooftop and as they neared a corner, Alex jumped in ahead of Raph, who then turned on the corner, though Leo stumbled and lost his balance for a second before he continued running after his brothers.
They continued running across and jumping onto some more rooftops, Alex getting a head start with his speed before jumping onto a water tower, where he saw three washing lines nearby.
He jumped down and pulled one loose to swing through the city streets.
"Just your friendly neighbourhood ninja!" Alex grinned.
Both Leo and Raph jumped onto the water tower and then jumped down at the other two washing lines and pulled them loose to swing on them after Alex.
"You're more like Alex-zan, Lord of the Jungle to me." Leo retorted.
"Then what does that make us?" Raph asked as he and Leo caught up with Alex. "Jane and Cheetah?"
They would've kept making remarks if it weren't for the fact that they soon heard a car screeching to a halt nearby.
"Whoa." Raph muttered before he, Alex and Leo swung and jumped onto a nearby rooftop. Raph then ran to the edge, being the closest and looked down.
"Shh." He shushed, pointing down into an alleyway below. Alex and Leo walked over and saw that a meeting was taking place in the alleyway. "Some kind of deal going down."
Down in the alleyway were some mobsters, which included Weasel, who walked up to a figure in the shadows with a briefcase, his men wielding guns.
"You got the stuff?" He asked the figure in the shadows as he fixed his tie.
"Do you have the payment?" The figure asked with a snarl.
"Right here." Weasel replied, holding the briefcase out before throwing it at the figure, who caught it.
He placed it on the ground and opened it, pulling out a wad of cash and flicking through it to count how much was in the wad.
"Hey, you actually gonna count it?" Weasel questioned. "We ain't got all night."
The figure grumbled as he closed the briefcase back up.
"This is only half of what we agreed." He said.
"Ah, you get the other half of the money once we leave with the stuff." Weasel bluffed.
The figure stood up and moved the briefcase aside with his foot before stepping out of the shadows to reveal himself as one of the Elite Guard of the Foot.
"You are not going to leave." He sneered before pulling out his trident. "Foot Ninja!"
Several Foot Ninjas appeared out of the shadows and by his side, all ready to fight against the mobsters, who backed away slightly out of shock.
"Exterminate these insects!" The Elite Guard ordered.
"Exterminate me? We'll exterminate you, pal!" Weasel retorted, pointing a finger at the Elite Guard and the Foot Ninjas. "Let 'em have it, boys!"
All the mobsters fired their guns, all of the Foot present dodging their shots, with one Foot Ninja jumping onto some scaffolding before jumping off and kicking Weasel in the chest, then one of the mobsters that turned to fire at him.
He grabbed their gun, only for it to be blasted apart, making him flip away.
The mobster that destroyed the gun had theirs kicked out of their hands by another Foot Ninja and then got punched in the chest.
The ninja flipped away to avoid gunfire from the mobsters, who now just fired in all directions, even upwards towards the rooftop, nearly hitting Alex, Leo and Raph.
"Hey!" Leo exclaimed as he stepped back and reared his hand away.
He decided to get involved and pulled his katanas out, ready to fight, but both Alex and Raph stopped him.
"Whoa, Leo, where you going?" Raph asked him. "Those are all bad guys down there."
"But it's not right." Leo argued.
"Right or wrong, it's not our fight." Raph argued back.
"I'm more on Raph's side." Alex admitted, surprising his turtle brothers. "What could we gain from stopping this fight between two of our enemies? Besides, they'll both be more focused on destroying us if we join in."
"I'm not too sure about that." Leo replied.
A helicopter then flew in and shined a spotlight down into the alleyway, stopping the fight.
"This is the police! Freeze!" An officer bellowed out through a bullhorn as sirens rang in the distance, approaching the alleyway. "Drop your weapons!"
Soon, a couple of police cars arrived and both the mobsters and the Foot Ninjas ran away as the cops charged into the alleyway.
"There, you see, here come the good guys. A happy ending." Raph told Leo, patting his shoulder before he walked away.
"I don't know, Raph. I don't know." Leo said, scratching the back of his head before turning to Alex.
"Let's just go home." Alex told him grimly, knowing full well that this whole thing is gonna escalate.
Elsewhere, in Japan, a woman in her twenties with shoulder length dark hair and green eyes made her way through the shadows before she somersaulted forwards and kicked a training dummy held up by a rope connected to the ceiling.
She landed gracefully and then dodged the dummy as it swung back towards her. She then kicked it away and delivered a chop at its neck before punching its head twice and spin kicked it several more times while her phone started ringing on a nearby desk.
This made her stop and flipped her way over to the desk and answered the phone.
"Report." She said.
"It is as we feared, Mistress Karai." A man reported. "The word on the street is that the Shredder is no more. Several different factions are fighting for territory. The city is at war"
"Hmm." Karai hummed in thought as she hung up and put the phone down. She then turned to her two aides, one being tall and with a shaved undercut and the other is bald and shorter in comparison. "Fuel the jet." They both bowed to her. "It is time to bring order to the chaos."
She then somersaulted towards the dummy and kicked so hard that as it flew away, its head was ripped off.
"My way." She then said as she stood in the light.
Back in New York City, in the lair, Leo was watching the news, all talking of all the gang violence that has been a constant since the defeat of the Shredder.
Nearby, hiding behind a pillar, Alex watched, already knowing what was on Leo's mind, as it was on his mind as well. But they'll both come to different conclusions, Alex just knew it.
"These innocent victims in unprecedented gang activity -" Leo changed channels to Dwight the newsman.
"Increased violence -" Leo changed again to a female news reporter.
"Imposed curfew has failed to stem the tide of violence." She said before Leo changed channels again, showing Alex Carlin, a reporter, standing in a street.
"Several innocent bystanders were rushed to the hospital after they had been caught in the crossfire of more gang violence.." He said, making Leo start to build in anger. "It's the fifth -"
Leo changed channels again to a newswoman.
" - wave of gang activities -" Leo changed channels yet again, now seeing a newsman named Ivan, who looks a lot like Dwight, having a heated discussion with a woman.
"Victoria, your inability to recognise the truth when it hits you over the head never ceases to flabbergast me." Ivan said, hitting his head slightly. "This is obviously a gang war on a citywide scale with the factions vying for total control."
"Ivan, your scare tactics amaze and amuse me simultaneously." Victoria retorted before she walked up to Ivan, who folded his arms in frustration and annoyance. Alex couldn't blame him when it came to this rather ignorant woman. "This is no more than a few random clashes between gangs and a small-scale turf war! "You have once again proven yourself to be a complete and total loser!"
Leo, having had enough of all this news, turned the TV off and sighed.
He then turned and walked over to a large dart board and pulled out both katanas, getting into a fighting pose.
Leo growled before flipping and then leaping at the dart board, stabbing one of his katanas through it as he went past it. He checked to see he stabbed the second line away from bullseye. This made his so angry he pulled his katana out of the dart board, now seeing Alex, Splinter and Rebecca staring at him.
"You are troubled, my son?" Splinter asked.
"You clearly have something on your mind, let it out." Rebecca advised.
"I-I'm confused." Leo admitted, walking away from the dart board. "I guess I hoped things would change when we finally got rid of the Shredder, you know, for the better. But it seems like everything just got worse."
"It's naive to think that things would automatically and instantly change for the better with Shredder out of the picture." Alex pointed out as their brothers, Mona Lisa, Alopex, Tiger Claw and Venus de Milo joined them.
"Are you out of your green gourd?" Raph questioned Leo's thinking. "We did the city a favour."
"Did we? Did we really? Raph, don't you see what's going on up there?" Leo questioned, turning to Raph. "The city's at war. Don't you feel just a bit responsible?"
"No, it's not our deal!" Raph argued back.
"It is!" Leo snapped. "Even if we didn't mean to make things worse, we did!"
Mikey, Mona and Donnie turned to each other concerningly while Alex, Alopex, Tiger Claw and Venus looked at the two arguing with frowns.
"Don't ask me to explain how, but it feels like our fault!" Leo snarled as he walked away from Raph, putting his katanas away, while Mikey walked up to Raph.
"I kinda know what he means." Mikey said sympathetically.
"Nobody asked you, Mikey!" Raph snapped at Mikey as he shoved him away.
"Hey! Leave him alone, Raph!" Mona growled right up to Raph's face.
"Leonardo. If one shoulders the weight of the world, all one will accomplish is to be crushed under the world's weight." Splinter explained to Leo.
"I don't understand, Sensei. We set out to do something good, it turned out bad. But the truth is, we started it. How can we just walk away?" Leo questioned before turning to Alex. "Alex, you gotta agree with me on this."
"I don't fully agree with you, Leo." Alex frowned, surprising the turtle. "Yes, we technically are responsible for all of this happening - don't argue against me, Raph! It's true!" He pointed a finger at Raph with a stern glare before turning back to Leo. "But the fact is, our involvement to try and stop this gang war just may end up making things much worse than they already are! Not to mention, this gang war still would've happened if the Utroms were the ones to take Shredder out of the picture, and not us! Fact is, you can't literally save everyone, Leo. It's just impossible!"
"Fact is, Leonardo, you must listen to your brother and I and let this go." Splinter then said, placing a hand on Leo's shoulder. "It is too dangerous for you to get involved in this war going on up there. For now, you must do nothing."
"I'm sorry, Master, but I can't do nothing! I can't!" Leo snapped before he started storming off.
"LEO!" Alex roared sternly.
"Leonardo! Leonardo!" Splinter called sternly as well.
Leo stopped for a moment before he continued storming out through the doorway to the sewers, shocking everyone.
"Dude." Mikey muttered in amazement before walking away.
"I never thought he'd disobey Master Splinter like that." Tiger Claw said, shaking his head.
"Ah, what a bonehead." Raph snarled, shaking his head as well, before walking off.
"One big happy family." Donnie sighed sadly.
"I'm going after him." Alex said, walking to the doorway.
"Alexander!" Splinter said, grabbing Aex's arm to stop him. "Leonardo has to understand what we're trying to tell him."
"No offence, Sensei, but he's too stuck with his guilt and saviour's complex to even bother trying to understand." Alex retorted. "Besides, someone has to try and make sure he doesn't get himself into even more trouble than he should be."
He pulled his arm out of Splinter's grasp and ran out of the doorway to try and catch up with Leo.
"Be careful, Alex." Rebecca said softly as Alopex joined her side.
"Don't worry, if I know Alex, he'll be responsible, unlike Leo, at the moment." The mutant arctic fox reassured her.
"I just hope Leo doesn't get hurt." Venus expressed her concern, drawing their attention, considering she started growing pretty close to Leo.
Up in the city, Leo was crouched on top of a water tower before he stood with a sigh.
"I don't get what Alex and Master Splinter were thinking on this one." Leo grumbled to himself, punching his fist. "Do nothing? Can't save everyone? Innocent people are getting hurt because of us. Because of me."
He then closed his eyes just as Alex jumped down and landed behind him on the water tower.
"Talking to yourself like that isn't healthy, Leo." Alex said sternly.
"I just can't understand how you think we shouldn't do something about this war!" Leo snapped at him.
"Because, unlike you, I think realistically! Getting involved to stop it could result in more innocent people getting caught in the crossfire, and when that happens, it'll be too late for you to realise that!" Alex snapped back. "And you didn't even pay attention to Master Splinter! He said 'for now, you must do nothing'! For. Now. Meaning we would eventually do something about it!"
"But it may be too late to do something about this war by then!" Leo argued.
"And you storming off without even a hint of a plan is better?" Alex questioned, raising his arms out in astonishment. "You know what, I'll tag along with you, and if things do in fact get worse than they already are because of us, you must accept that what me and Master Splinter said is true!"
"Fine! But I'll prove you both wrong!" Leo retorted before he crouched back down and looked over the city skyline. "I just wish I knew what the shell I was going to do."
The pair then spotted some Foot Ninjas running along some rooftops.
"Well, I guess we're gonna find out." Leo told Alex before somersaulting off the water tower and jumping along rooftops.
"I feel like I'm gonna regret this." Alex muttered before he followed Leo and the pair started following the Foot Ninjas.
The two followed the ninjas to a warehouse by the docks, where they leaned over the edge of a roof to see them run out of the front door to another warehouse, where one of the Elite Guard appeared before them. Two of the ninjas jumped up to him and closed the door he came out of and jammed it closed with a pipe placed between the handles.
Then all of them disappeared into the shadows.
"A Foot Elite?" Leo questioned. "What were they doing in there?"
"Something bad, considering it's all they do, really." Alex replied.
"Must be something big, then." Leo said. "Let's go."
They jumped off and landed on the rooftop of the other warehouse and approached a nearby skylight while the Foot all fled the area.
Leo pulled his katanas out, ready to smash the skylight open, but Alex grabbed his wrist and shook his head before simply lifting it open with his hands.
"Have you forgotten we're ninjas? We use stealth." Alex frowned as Leo put away his katanas in embarrassment.
They dropped into the building and looked around to see various mobsters, including Weasel, all on the floor, moaning in pain, clearly having lost a fight with the Foot Ninjas.
Then they heard beeping and gasped in horror to see a bomb near Weasel counting down, with over a minute left before it'll explode.
"We gotta get them out of here!" Leo told Alex.
"You don't have to tell me twice!" Alex replied.
They ran to and dived towards the mobsters. Leo landed next to one that started getting up and Alex landed next to another one that was unconscious.
"Come on. We're getting you goons out of here." Leo told the mobster, carrying him by wrapping his arm around his shoulders, while Alex carried the other like a firefighter would.
The timer now had over fifty seconds remaining as they ran over to a garbage chute.
"What happened?" The mobster questioned. "Who are you?"
Leo dumped the mobster through the garbage chute before Alex shoved his down it, the two landing in a dumpster bin.
Soon, more followed, including Weasel.
"Let's get out of here!" Alex said, starting to head for a window to smash open.
"But we gotta defuse the bomb!" Leo argued, the bomb now having forty seconds remaining.
"Why? We got the mobsters out! And if it doesn't go off, the Foot will investigate what happened and could end up finding us!" Alex argued back.
"Just help me defuse the bomb!" Leo snapped at him, making Alex groan as he joined Leo's side.
Alex pulled out his katana and carefully opened the bomb up to look at the wiring inside, which looked complicated.
"I wish Donnie was here, at least he'd make an educated guess to defuse this stupid thing." Alex hissed in frustration as the timer now showed twenty eight seconds left.
Alex started sweating as he grabbed a random wire, having not learned enough to do this properly. His breathing increased before he pulled the wire apart, the timer stopping at eleven seconds.
"See? No sweat." Leo sighed with relief, whereas Alex's eyes widened with horror.
"RUN!" He yelled and sprinted away, making Leo see that the bomb started counting down again.
"Ah!" He yelped before he ran after Alex. "This day just keeps getting better and better!"
The pair then somersaulted towards a window just as the timer reached zero and the bomb exploded, its shockwave sending the pair flying through the window before the warehouse started exploding some more, which sent them flying towards the water, sinking as the whole warehouse blew up, which the Foot saw from an alleyway, the Elite Guard wielding his double bladed sword.
"Mission accomplished." He sneered, thinking they had killed the mobsters.
He and the ninjas ran past the burning remains of the warehouse on the boardwalk, Alex and Leo surfacing from the water moments later before diving back in as they heard sirens nearby.
Back in the lair, Mikey played with a toy duck, toy robot and toy ninja over a map of New York on a table near Donnie's lab.
"This town ain't big enough for all of us." Mikey said, trying to sound like a tough guy, snickering, as he put the toy robot down. He then rolled a pair of dice and moved the toy ninja forward. "I am Foot Ninja. You cannot stand against me."
He then laughed evilly as both Donnie and Tiger Claw joined his side, wondering what he was doing.
"Uh, you feeling okay, Mikey?" Donnie asked.
"Yeah, just what are you doing?" Tiger Claw asked, very perplexed.
"I'm figuring out what's going on with the gangs, courtesy of tabletop gaming." Mikey replied, putting the toy ninja down, further leaving the pair perplexed. "See, this guy's the Foot." He flicked the toy ninja's head. "They used to own the whole map, but with the Shredder gone, the others have started to grab for territory."
"And?" Tiger Claw asked.
"Well, near as I can guess from the news reports, the Purple Dragons have made a power play and grabbed a bunch of territory." Mikey replied, grabbing the toy duck and knocked it against the toy ninja, toppling it over. He then grabbed the toy robot, representing the mob. "The Foot Ninja are losing territory to the mobsters." He bashed the toy robot against the toy ninja. "And the Purple Dragons." He then bashed the toy duck against the toy ninja. "It's chaos."
"Thank you for that informative and concise explanation." Donnie said uneasily.
"Yeah, that actually made sense." Tiger Claw admitted, a bit surprised, considering how Mikey tends to be.
"The real question is, what are the mobsters gonna do now that they're in third place?" Mikey asked.
"Probably something desperate and dangerous. That tends to be the case with mobsters." Tiger Claw frowned, deeply concerned about that aspect of this gang war.
Elsewhere, Weasel sat behind a desk in an office building, meeting up with three other mobsters.
"This is an insult! We's been left behind whilst the Purple Dragons and the Foot is dividing up the city! We need to take action! NOW!" Weasel shouted in anger, slamming his fist down on the desk.
"But what more can we do?" The elderly mobster with a cane asked.
"We gotta do something!" The mobster with blonde hair and bling whined. "My own mother's giving me disrespect!"
"It's downright criminal, I tell ya!" The mobster with ginger hair moped.
"Enough whining!" Weasel's boss groaned as he barged into the room. "The new player, the one that got us all the high tech firepower, guarantees that if we follow his battle plans, we'll kick 'em all off the map!" He then walked up to a map on one of the walls. "Just so we're clear, I hate this new guy. But given the situation, we don't have a choice. Get ready to move! Tonight, the city will be ours!"
He clenched his fist in front of the map, its shadow symbolising his goal.
The Foot Ninjas led by the Elite Guard with the double bladed sword all ran and jumped along various rooftops, unaware that Alex and Leo were following after them.
Eventually, the Elite Guard with the spear joined up and they all ran towards a building with a hole in the roof, all jumping down it.
Alex and Leo approached the hole and looked down, seeing all five Elite Guards, as well as what had to be over a hundred Foot Ninjas, all in the same warehouse that the two first met the Shredder and fought against him with their brothers that rainy night roughly a year ago.
"So, this is what happened to the Foot since we got rid of the Shredder?" Leo questioned. "How the mighty have fallen."
"Indeed." Alex frowned.
Leo then pulled out his katanas, making Alex turn to him like he lost his mind.
"I guess it's just us against them." Leo said.
"No!" Alex hissed in annoyance. "It's us two versus over a hundred Foot Ninjas and all five Elite Guards. They'll overwhelm us and beat us to a pulp! We may be good, but we don't stand a chance! We are leaving, right now!"
"But who else can stop them? We have to do this." Leo argued.
"No, we don't! Because you don't even have a plan, which is gonna get you and perhaps all of us killed!" Alex snapped at him.
Leo was about to retort against him, but got grabbed and pulled back by Venus and Mikey, Alex following them away from the hole, joining up with them, Donnie, Raph, Alopex, Tiger Claw and Mona.
Venus and Mikey let go and Leo turned to see everyone.
"Geez. Anybody think you weren't happy to see us." Mikey remarked.
"What are you guys doing here?" Leo questioned.
"Helping Alex make sure you don't get into something you can't get out of on your own." Donnie replied.
"We're like the calvary, without the horses." Mikey added.
"And you didn't bring Leo back to the lair, because" Alopex questioned Alex.
"Because he had to see for himself that he's clearly in the wrong, which he is proven to be, so far, when we nearly got killed from a bomb he insisted we try to defuse, which didn't work." Alex replied, giving Leo a sideways glare.
"A bomb?" Tiger Claw questioned.
"Yeah, left behind by the Foot for the mobsters we saved." Alex replied.
Raph groaned as he crouched by the edge of the roof.
"We shouldn't be here, Leo. This ain't our war." He told Leo.
"Regardless, let's get out of here before the Foot realises we're here." Mona suggested.
That's when several Foot Ninjas came out of the damaged rooftop entrance, along with more of them jumping onto the roof from the sides of the building, surrounding the nine of them, who now all had their weapons out.
"Uh, looks like it's our war now." Mikey gulped.
"And there's over a hundred of these losers." Alex told everyone, twirling his katana.
All of the Foot Ninjas then leapt at everyone.
As Leo blocked a pair's katanas, Donnie stabbed another with his bo staff in the stomach, then he did the same with another ninja that charged at him. Leo then whacked one of the ninjas away and then did the same to the other.
Venus flipped over a ninja when they charged at her and then swept them off their feet before blocking another ninja's katana with her tessens, using her strength to knock it out of their hands before delivering a roundhouse kick to their face, knocking them away.
Donnie spun his staff before hitting a ninja that charged at him in the stomach and used his momentum to throw him over himself and away. He then jammed his staff into a ninja's stomach that charged behind him without looking. Donnie then gasped when the shadow of a third ninja came over him, looking up to see him with a katana. He was able to block it in time with his staff before kicking him away and spin his staff.
Mona and Alopex were back to back as they fended off several ninjas.
The former used her tonfas to whack the wrists of the ninjas that tried slicing her, knocking their katanas out of their hands before kicking them away in the chest or face. The latter sliced her kamas at several ninja's katanas, snapping the blades off before she spin kicked their faces, launching them back.
Tiger Claw roared as he swung his machete all around, providing distance from the ninjas that tried charging at him before he pounced at a pair, split kicking them in the face before he rolled away from a downward slice from a third ninja, handspringing at them in the face and then sliced another in the chest before kicking at his knees, making him crumble onto the rooftop.
Alex spun his katana around him before he thrust it at a ninja, who stepped aside, allowing Alex to kick them in the back as they were distracted, knocking right into another ninja. He then knocked another ninja's katana away to slice at their chest and legs and then kicked them right in the face, knocking them away.
Both Mikey and Raph kicked a ninja each away at the same time before the latter punched another away and tackled two more down and ducked to avoid a third ninja's staff and then kicked them away.
Mikey spun his nunchucks as he faced four ninjas before seeing two more come up behind him. Gritting his teeth, he whacked his nunchucks at all of them before blocking another ninja's katana several times.
"Say, haven't we met?" Mikey asked before blocking the ninja's katana some more. "At the big fight at Shredder's! Aw, come on! You have to remember!" He then wrapped one of his nunchucks around the katana and threw it away. "I knocked you right on your -" He then whacked the ninja in the face, knocking him away and onto his chest.
"Uh-oh." He then gulped upon seeing three Foot Ninjas leaping at him before they kicked him down the large hole into the warehouse.
"MIKEY, NO!" Raph cried out, having seen what happened as he was currently blocking a couple of ninjas with his sais.
Needing to help his brother, he kicked the two ninjas away and roared as he tackled the three ninjas down the hole and landed on top of them when they crashed, now knocked out and with broken bones, for sure.
Raph then walked over to Mikey, who sat up, moaning in pain. He then pulled him up to his feet.
"I'm okay, I'm okay." MIkey reassured Raph.
"You better be, bro." Raph told him as they now found themselves surrounded by more Foot Ninjas. "We ain't alone."
Back on the rooftop, the others all gathered together as they continued fighting the Foot.
"Mikey and Raph went down inside!" Leo told the others as they all simultaneously blocked various Foot Ninjas and their weapons. "We better stick together!"
Donnie and Venus ran off while Alopex and Mona jumped off and Alex, Leo and Tiger Claw all kicked, sliced and punched various ninjas and their katanas, leaving them all moaning in agony.
Venus jumped off of Donnie's shoulder and landed on top of a Foot Ninja, kicking their head before spin kicking a few more in the face as Donnie whacked another away.
Then Alopex and Mona worked together to knock away three ninjas before joining up with the others towards the hole in the roof.
They all jumped down as Mikey and Raph were blocking the ninjas that surrounded them.
"HEADS UP, SUCKERS!" Alex roared before he and everyone else landed next to Mikey and Raph, knocking all the ninjas away all at once.
They all gathered back up and then yelled as they leapt at the army of Foot Ninjas.
All of them dealt with numerous ninjas all at once, blocking their katanas and staffs.
Donnie whacked a ninja away before spinning his staff and whacked another that jumped at him, then he did the same to a third ninja and knocked a fourth back by hitting them in the face.
"Wait a minute, a bo staff and a crowd of guys who all look the same?" Donnie questioned, seeing how this situation was a bit like The Matrix movies. "Time to try out one of my favourite movie stunts."
He dug his staff into the ground while several ninjas surrounded him, and then swung around it to kick them, but they all backed away, and he crashed onto the floor.
"Well, that didn't work." Donnie groaned in embarrassment while Alex and Raph landed next to him.
"Newsflash, brainiac, this isn't the Matrix!" Alex reminded him.
"Therefore, you need a refresher course in reality." Raph added. "Lesson one!"
Both he and Alex punched a couple of ninjas in the face.
"Lesson two!"
Then Raph punched another in the face again while Alex swept another off their feet and axe kicked their chest to slam them onto the ground.
"Lesson three!"
Raph gave an uppercut to another ninja in the jaw and Alex kicked another in their side, launching them into the ninja next to him.
"Class dismissed." Raph told Donnie with all the ninjas crumbled and lay on the ground in pain or were knocked out.
Leo was blocking three ninjas and their katanas all at once as they forced him towards a wall, which his shell was now pressed up against, but he was able to duck and dive away from the wall.
Tiger Claw tackled a ninja to the ground and punched his head to knock him out before rolling away from a ninja that tried kicking him. But when he stood, a ninja charged in from behind and kicked him in the back, making him flip in the air, allowing him to kick the ninja up on their jaw and then slashed his machete at a couple more as they charged at him, punching and kicking them away.
Venus got kicked in the shell, making her fall forward, but was able to flip back onto her feet and then spin kick the ninja responsible before smacking her tessens in the faces of more ninjas, kicking them in the crotch or throat, knocking them down.
Alopex side flipped from several ninjas that tried to knock her down and then landed with a spin onto her feet, narrowly dodging a punch to her face from a ninja, who she uppercut in the jaw before slicing at four more that charged at her.
Mona kept moving, swinging her tail at any and all ninjas while she swung her tonfas around, hitting the stray ninja that tried to hit her.
Mikey spun his nunchucks when a ninja kicked him in the side, knocking him towards another ninja that punched him in the shell, knocking him forwards.
Raph found himself tackled onto the ground by a couple of ninjas, who he kicked off before three pinned him to the ground, punching him in the process.
Alex kept moving by stepping aside, jumping, flipping, rolling and ducking to avoid the various ninjas that tried throwing cheap shots at him, slicing their arms, chests or legs in the process, even kicking their faces and throats to knock them back.
Donnie blocked a ninja's katana with his staff, oblivious to another ninja that threw in a cheap shot to Donnie's shell with the pommel of his katana, knocking him onto his chest, though he turned onto his shell to block the ninja's katana and shoved it back to roll away.
The nine of them gathered back up in the middle of the room, Raph punching a ninja away in the process, their shells and backs pressed against each others.
"I don't wanna complain, but there seems to be an awful lot of these dudes." Mikey said, panting heavily as they were surrounded by the large number of Foot Ninjas.
Outside of the warehouse, a grey van parked in an alleyway next to the building. Inside was the large mob boss, as well as his new player and the device they built.
"Alright, a whole army of ninja are holed up in there." The mob boss said. "Is this really gonna work against that many?"
"Oh, ye of little faith. I have intimate knowledge of the Foot. They will have no way of dealing with what you're about to unleash upon them." The new player said with a familiar egotistical voice.
He stepped out of the shadows, revealing himself to be Baxter Stockman, whose head was now where the head of the exo-suit used to be. He then started laughing evilly as he turned to his creation.
The mob boss groaned at Stockman's ego and theatrics, just like anyone would at this point.
Two mobsters walked to the back of the van and opened it, stepping back as Stockman's large robot activated its red laser and exited the van, landing on all fours before standing up on his two legs.
"Whoa!" The two mobsters yelped as they continued backing away with the robot walking up to them before turning to the warehouse, blasting a hole into the wall, which knocked three Foot Ninjas onto their chests.
This made all the other Foot Ninjas and the group all gasp before diving away from the debris.
The robot then entered just as Mikey dived behind a support beam, where he peeked out to see the robot.
"Cool." He noted.
The robot then fired a barrage of lasers all over the warehouse, making Mikey duck back behind the support beam.
"Not cool! Not cool!" He took back what he said.
The robot continued firing, making everyone scatter.
Leo peeked out from some debris he was hiding behind, as well as Venus, as did Alex and Tiger Claw from behind some debris of a fallen support beam.
"What the shell is that and where did it come from?" Alex asked the mutant tiger.
"Must be the desperate measure the mob made to try and get ahead of the Foot and the Purple Dragons." Tiger Claw replied.
Leo noticed the laser moving like the robot was using a targeting computer before it started firing all over the place again.
He got back behind cover and closed his eyes.
"Leo, what are you doing?" Venus asked.
But he didn't reply as he charged out of cover and right towards the robot, jumping and spinning in the air before he stabbed both his katanas at the red light that the laser came from, backflipping off the robot as it started short circuiting, his brothers and their friends watching as they got out of cover.
But then the robot started firing lasers again, now out of control, making the nine of them dive for cover while the robot started firing at the walls and through the ceiling.
In the van, Stockman and the mob boss watched what the robot was doing on a small monitor.
"Hmm. Time for plan B. I'm afraid it lacks the finesse of my robotic creation, but we really have no choice." Stockman commented. "It's a rather messy alternative."
"Messy?" The mob boss questioned what he meant.
"Observe." Stockman replied, holding up a switch, which he triggered.
This switch triggered bombs that were placed all over the warehouse, which all blew up the support beams.
This made the group of nine gasp while standing in the middle of the room, seeing the warehouse starting to collapse.
Mikey, Donnie and Venus all yelped as they dived away from some debris.
Mona jumped and pounced out of the way of the debris that fell.
Leo was slicing some debris when Alex and Raph pulled him towards them, glaring at him.
"I hope you're happy, Leo. I hope doing the right thing was really worth it." Raph sneered.
"Because so far, it isn't." Alex sneered as well with a scowl.
The warehouse then completely collapsed, seemingly crushing everyone inside.
Someone had to be the one with the realistic mindset, so it had to be Alex. And I feel like there had to be a mention that if the Utroms were the ones to take Shredder out of the picture, there still would've been a gang war.
