Owen had seen what had happened, and was quick to help Blue, despite her growling at Owen. Claire was there to help calm her down, seeing that Blue seemed to trust her more than Owen. Maisie was amazed that Claire could change, but was nervous around her when she changed.

Right now, Claire was giving Maisie a ride with Owen back to the cabin, where, with some focus, and privacy, shifted back into a human.

"What's it like?" asked Maisie, "As a dinosaur?"

"Well," said Claire, "It's... like being a superhero. You can hear and see things that regular people can't see. And... running through the woods makes you feel... free."

"Well," said Owen, "Just remember, we'll always be here for you. And Blue too."

Over the next few months, winter came, and Claire walked out to check on Blue. She made sure to walk a bit away from the cabin, and then looked around. She unbuttoned her shirt, and took it off. Her belt was unbuckled, and she jiggled out of her pants. Her boots and socks followed, leaving her barefoot in the snow. Finally, Claire took off her lineage, and took a deep breath.

Claire let out a painful cry, and leaned against a fallen tree. Her face extended, as her hair turned into quills. Black scales started covering her body, and a tail grew from her spine. Claws broke out of her finger nails, and her body extended. Muscles grew, and her limbs lengthened. Soon, a loud roar was heard, and she took off running toward's Blue's scent.

Claire arrived at an abandoned bus, and saw a big hole in the side. She carefully walked in, sniffing around. Claire then noticed a tire on the floor, with grass and sticks inside it. And there was something else in it as well. Claire carefully picked it up, and looked at the remains.

"An... egg shell?"

Claire climbed out, and heard a noise. She turned to see Blue, and a baby Raptor that looked just like her.

"You have a baby?" asked Claire.

"Yes I do," said Blue, "This is my daughter."

"What's her name?"

"I haven't thought of one for her, but, I'm thinking Beta."

"Why Beta?"

"That's the name Owen was originally going to call me by."

"Who that momma?" asked Beta.

"This is Auntie Claire," said Blue, "It's okay."

Claire gently nuzzled against Beta, and Beta purred.

"We just came back from a drink," said Blue, "Now, it's going to be Beta's first ever hunt. Care to join us?"

"Sure."

Soon, the three raptors were racing through the forest, although Beta tripped a few times, but got right back up. Soon, they found a prey animal, perfect for Beta: a rabbit.

"Now, what you want to do," said Claire quietly, "Is be quiet. And watch where you step, as well as the prey."

"Why do I need to watch where I step?" asked Beta.

"Any noise might draw unwanted attention," said Blue.

Just then, a wolf appeared, killing the rabbit, and Blue said, "NOW!"

Beta then ran forward, and pounced on the wolf, biting down on the throat, making the hunter, become the hunted.

"Well done Beta," said Blue.

"That was your first kill ever?" asked Claire, "Almost looked like you've done it before."

Just then, a gun shot was heard, and Beta was almost hit. Claire turned, and saw two men with guns.

"GO! GET BETA OUT OF HERE! I'LL TAKE CARE OF THEM!"

Blue ran towards Beta, and Claire ran at the men. One of them ran off, while the other kept shooting at Claire. However, thanks to her thick hide and armor, the bullets just bounced off of her. Claire then pounced, and gutted the man with her claws, and snapping his neck in her jaws.

The other man, who was just a teen, looked in horror, as Claire dragged his father's corpse to him. She dropped the body, and said in her dinosaur language, "Never, come, back!"

The teen nodded, and ran off. Claire snorted, and walked away. She checked on Blue and Beta once more, and headed back to her clothes. She changed back to a human, got dressed, and walked towards the cabin. However, she didn't notice Beta had followed her back. And there, she saw a young teen girl with blonde hair, messing with something called 'fire' from what her mother told her.
